A
So
can
let's
go
on
to
1.003
roll
roll
call
and
Quorum
establishment.
A
Present
1.0004,
please
stand
for
the
pledge
of
alleged
Allegiance
foreign.
A
That
sounded
great
I
do
say
that
was
awesome.
Okay,
2.01
per
proposed
a
a
dish,
additions,
lesions
and
adjustments
in
the
order
of
the
business.
C
Madam
President,
we
do
have
item

that's

adopted
board

We
will
be
pulling
I,
the
November
29th
unadopted
board
minutes
they
are
not
complete,
so
we
will
bring
those
back
to
the
next
board.
Meeting
foreign.
A
D
E
A
All
right,
let's
go
on
to
2.002,
adopt
adoption
of
the
agenda
agenda.
I
I
need
a
a
mode
motion
to
approve.
B
C
Trustees,
please
use
your
voting
on
the
phone
trustee
Webster
Webster
I
trustee
Turner.
Let's
see
Turner
aye
trissy,
the
French
trustee
love
French
I
trustee
Atkins
aye
trustee
bentz,
bence
I.
A
A
We
do
have
a
student
student
per
preparer
for
formats
from
Mel
Melba
day,
Dave
Davis,
but
be
before
that
we
have
Malay
Leia
Tom
Thomas
from
Morgan
kin
Kincaid.
Who
has
some
something
she
would
like
to
read
for
us:
Mr
Krauss.
Yes,.
F
Thank
you,
madam
president,
members
of
the
board
Mr
Sinatra.
If
you
could
ask
Ms
Thomas
to
please
unmute
herself
and
you
might
recall
it
a
prior
board
meeting
I
was
not
very
good
at
reading
her
essay
that
she
did,
but
she
wanted
to
read
it
this
evening
for
us,
and
so,
if
you
will
allow
her
to
do
that,
I
I'm
grateful
that
she's
able
to
do
that.
Mr
Sinatra.
Do
you
see
her
in
the
zoo
meeting?
I
believe
this.
G
Hi,
you
are
ready
right
now.
Yes,
please,
dear
Farmers.
The
reason
why
I
think
we
should
skip
out
on
thing
on
Turkey
is
because
people
do
not
know
how
to
cook.
So
basically,
last
year
we
went
to
my
auntie's
house,
and
we
is
me
my
sister
and
my
mom.
Now
that
turkey
was
dry,
I'll
put
so
much
hot
sauce,
it
was
still
dry.
It
was
disgusting
that
turkey
did
not
deserve
that
because
it
was
nice
but
they're.
G
Fine,
please
don't
kill
these
turkeys
unless
it's
from
my
mom,
because
she
be
putting
all
the
seasoning
be
finger
licking
and
off,
like
today,
I
saw
this
girl
on
Tick
Tock.
She
only
put
salt
and
pepper
and
her
husband
left
her
I
think
that
was
because
she
don't
know
how
to
cook.
But
if
you
don't
know
how
to
cook
leave
these
turkeys
alone,
yeah.
A
Okay,
so
yes,
Miss
Mr
Cross
did
didn't,
read
your
S
as
a
quite
quite
as
well.
I
agree
with
him
there
and
oh
trusty
turn
Turner
wanted
me
to
read
the
directions,
because
that's
this
is
what
they
were
supposed
to
do.
A
Imagine
you,
you
are
a
a
a
turkey
and
then
Thanksgiving
is
fast,
a
pro
approaching
right,
a
LED
letter
to
a
farm
or
explaining
why
you
think
they
should
skip
turkey
for
dinner
this
year,
be
persuasive
and
I.
Think
you
did
that
so
also,
you
will
be
get
getting
a
a
turkey
to
tomorrow
tomorrow
at
your
school,
so
your
mom
can
cook
it.
Okay,
not
your
aunt
Auntie,
okay,.
A
H
A
I
I
Keep
it
up
and
let
your
mom
know:
I'm
gonna
need
that
recipe,
because
mine
came
out.
Dry
I
should
not
have
cooked
the
turkey
foreign.
A
A
Okay,
go
go
going
on
to
our
student
student
per
perform
performance
from
Mel
Melva
Dave,
Davis,
CAD,
Academy
of
Excellence.
F
Yes,
thank
you
this
evening,
we'd
like
to
welcome
the
principal
and
her
admin
team
and
all
of
the
staff
that
are
here
this
evening
to
support
our
students
at
Melba,
Davis
Academy
of
Excellence,
who
will
be
performing
for
us
this
evening,
so
I'm
going
to
turn
it
over
now
to
the
principal.
Thank
you.
J
Okay
good
evening,
president
bench
trustees,
Mr,
Krause
and
cabinet,
and
all
of
our
parents
and
students
and
staff
that
are
here
tonight.
Thank
you.
It
is
my
pleasure
to
be
here
tonight
to
highlight
Melva
Davis
Academy
of
Excellence
I
would
like
to
introduce
my
team
that
is
integral
in
all
the
great
things
you're
going
to
see
tonight.
I
have
Jennifer
now
my
assistant
principal
and
Bonnie
Avery,
my
assistant
principal
here
with
me
tonight,
I'll
be
brief.
J
As
I
know,
you
want
to
be
able
to
enjoy
our
fabulous
Orchestra
in
choir
that
have
joined
us
in
person
tonight.
So
I
want
to
take
the
opportunity
to
highlight
our
elective
program
at
Melba,
Davis
I'm,
a
firm
believer
that
Reading
Writing
Math
and
Science
our
why
kids
have
to
come
to
school
and
they
are
important.
However,
electives
are
what
make
kids
want
to
come
to
school
electives,
allow
students
to
have
opportunities
to
be
creative
and
to
express
themselves
in
ways
that
they
may
not
be
able
to
do
in
any
other
class.
J
You
can
visually
see
our
artwork
on
the
walls
and
you'll.
Have
the
pleasure
of
hearing
our
choir
and
Orchestra?
In
just
a
moment,
students
are
able
to
follow
interests
that
may
be
outside
of
any
specific
academic
area
and
they
are
very
inclusive.
Our
students
get
many
different
experiences
through
elective
classes.
You'll
see
a
video
of
our
morning,
announcements
that
is
produced
and
delivered
daily
by
our
digital
photography.
J
Students,
I've
included
videos
of
our
roller
coasters
that
were
constructed
by
our
Mesa
students,
It
Started,
From
Scratch
and
had
to
design
draw
and
construct
their
coasters
electives
also
provide
students
with
an
outlet
for
growth
and
change.
Some
of
our
students
need
extra
support
in
behavior
and
social
emotional
aspects
of
school.
Our
y
tri-elective
offers
that
opportunity
students
are
monitored,
supported
and
when
ready,
graduated
from
the
class
I
have
included
some
examples
of
the
work
that
our
y
Tri
students
are
doing.
This
year,
our
y
tribe,
peer
leadership
class,
is
taught
by
Mrs
oliveiras.
J
This
year's
focus
is
looking
for
the
positives
and
paying
it
forward.
They've
worked
on
setting
goals
daily,
positives,
Journal,
writing,
self-motivation,
anger
management
and
paying
it
forward.
Our
latest
Pay
It
Forward
activity
was
snowflaking.
The
Why
Try
students
made
snowflakes
and
decorated
Three
classroom
doors.
Those
classrooms
then
decorated,
three
more
doors
and
so
on,
and
so
on.
Until
all
of
our
doors
and
our
front
office
was,
work
are
covered
in
snowflakes
and
eventually
the
Why
Try
class
got
got
it
back
when
their
when
their
class
was
decorated
as
well.
J
Our
students
also
worked
on
vision
boards,
and
these
are
really
powerful.
I
would
want
to
spend
more
time
with
my
cousins.
I
just
want
to
improve
myself
and
my
mindset
and
control
my
actions
I
want
to
stop
eating
junk
food
and
soda
I
would
like
to
feel
way
happy
with
life
with
myself
and
I
want
to
make
the
people
around
me.
Like
my
mom,
happy
I,
don't
know
where
I
want
to
go,
but
I
want
to
go
somewhere
where
it
seems
unreal.
J
J
Word
quote
to
describe
your
year
ahead.
Successful
write
your
word
for
the
year
here.
Don't
give
up
goal
number
one
get
my
grades
up
goal
number
two
Run
Track
and
goal
number
three
make
money,
and
the
last
one
treat
myself
like
someone,
I
love
not
be
so
nonchalant
improve
my
grades,
have
a
better
relationship
with
God,
find
my
peace
and
communicate
more,
so
it's
very
powerful
to
hear
from
our
students
and
the
fact
that
they
feel
confident
and
safe
enough
to
share
is
amazing.
K
L
L
M
L
O
N
J
P
Foreign
and
we
go
to
the
school
of
Melody
Davis
Academy
of
Excellence
collective
in
this
school
is
Mesa
and
we,
through
we
do
competitions
through
UCR.
Our
first
competition
was
a
roller
coaster
which
basically,
we
got
materials
from
home.
We
found
the
school
to
make
the
roller
coaster.
The
materials
we
use
for
our
own
coaster
was
pipe
insulation,
PVC
pipes,
some
crates
with
some
decorations
this
evening,
Halloween
it
was
like
in
the
month
of
October,
you
know
kind
of
spooky
and
We've.
P
P
M
O
R
J
So,
in
addition
to
the
electives
that
I've
already
mentioned,
we
also
offer
Project
Lead
the
Way
coding,
Career
Technical
education,
and
you
see
some
photos
here
of
our
photography
students
using
perspective
and
our
Medical
detectives
and
our
dissections
during
science
class.
You
also
see
our
Project
Lead,
the
Way
made
crystal
Christmas
ornaments
last
week,
so
our
coding
class.
It
offers
the
opportunity
for
students
to
see
the
endless
possibilities
of
Technology.
It
includes
everyone
and
it
encourages
collaboration.
J
So
our
students
create
our
yearbook
each
year
and
are
learning
to
have
positive
conversations,
even
when
they
disagree
in
debate.
Class
reading
and
writing
are
integrated
into
all
electives,
just
disguised
as
fun
I'm
going
to
stop
talking
now
and
introduce
Mrs,
Pierce
and
Mr
Davidson
and
allow
our
students
to
perform
for
you.
Thank
you.

Feliz

K
A
That
was
one
wonderful.
The
board
would
like
to
a
say
some
something
and
B
take
pick
stay,
don't
don't
don't
go
yet,
don't
don't
go
yet.
No
Escape
skipping
yet
hold
on
okay,
really
quick.
We
just
have
to
say
some
com
comments,
take
take
a
pit
picture
and
then
you
all
can
flee.
Okay
trustees
go
ahead,
La
French.
T
T
I
just
want
to
let
you
know
that
I
am
a
backup
singer
right.
If
you
need
any
anyone,
I
can
come
and
help
you
I
can't
hold
it
too,
but
I'll
sing
it
anyway.
I
will
and
also
I
want
to
say
that
you
know.
I
am
just
I,
think
that
you
guys
should
come
every
Tuesday
every
other
Tuesday,
and
this
will
set
the
tone.
It
is
so
nice
and
warm
and
cozy
in
here.
T
U
Repeat
the
same
words,
but
I
just
want
to
thank
you
for
reminding
us
what
Christmas
is
all
about
and
that's
the
birth
of
our
savior
and
to
hear
both
the
the
instrumental
I
mean
gosh
that
was
so
beautiful
and
the
songs
that
you
picked.
Oh,
it
was
just
absolutely
stunning,
so
I
just
can't.
Thank
you
enough
for
for
what
you've
done
and
what
you're
doing
please
keep
it
up.
U
You
guys
are
awesome
and
who
knows
you
guys
might
be
in
a
symphony
one
day
or
in
a
beautiful
choir
one
day,
I
used
to
be
in
choir
in
school
and
I
loved
it.
So
just
thank
you.
Thank
you
for
this
beautiful
moment
and
this
great
memory
and
just
I
can't
thank
you
enough
for
being
here
and
thank
you,
teachers
for
the
salon,
song
selections
and
for
the
hard
work
you
put
into
these
children.
So
you
guys
are
awesome.
I
hope
you
have
a
great
Christmas
and
please
keep
doing
what
you're
doing.
Thank
you
thank.
I
I
will
keep
mine
short,
but
I
wanted
to
make
a
comment
earlier.
We
heard
how
important
electives
are
to
our
students
and
how
it
is
the
strive
to
come
to
work
or
to
school
same
thing
and
I
do
want
to
take
a
moment
to
tell
all
of
our
young
bright
Minds.
Thank
you
tonight
for
being
here
and
being
a
part
of
our
electives
at
Melva
Davis.
You
have
so
much
talent,
I
only
wish
I
had
half
of
it.
H
I
would
like
to
say
that
performance
was
absolutely
amazing.
You
that
you
guys
did
it
an
extraordinary
job,
and
this
Board
Room
hasn't
heard
this
lapis
sound
in
a
very,
very,
very
long
time
and
I
just
want
to
say
parents,
teachers,
Melva
Davis.
You
know
this
is
what
it's
about
it's
about,
our
kids
having
fun
at
the
same
time.
Learning
and
you
guys
were
just
amazing
Ben.
You
know
I
I,
I
I'm
lost
for
words,
but
keep
keep
it
up.
H
Yeah
keep
doing
what
you're
doing
and
just
keep
improving,
and
you
know
come
back
and
visit
us
and
we'll
visit
you
too.
So
again,
Merry
Christmas,
you
guys
Have
Yourself,
A,
Merry,
Merry
Christmas.
My
heart
is
my
heart
is
racing
right
now
so
parents,
teachers,
administrators
students,
friends,
colleagues,
everyone
just
keep
doing
what
you're
doing
you're
doing
a
phenomenal
job.
Thank
you.
Okay,.
A
And
I
just
want
want
to
thank
thank
you
for
take
taking
time
out
out
of
your
your
day
to
come
here.
I
know
it's
embar,
embarrassing!
Oh
my
gosh,
but
we
really
truly
appreciate
it
and
I
do
have
to
say
during
the
perform
performance,
I
got
the
chills
and
the
good
Goosebumps
I
really
get
get
moved
when
I
see
the
the
perform
performances.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
So
much.
We
really
do
appreciate
it.
Okay,
now
we
gotta
try
to
crowd
here
and
take
a
picture
okay.
So
let's
do
this.
V
P
P
K
K
K
A
All
right,
let's
go
go
ahead
and
get
get
back
to
our
gen
gender.
We
now
go
go
on
to
the
and
the
and
annual
org
organization.
F
F
Great,
thank
you.
Okay,
if
you
will
place
your
left
hand
on
the
Bible
and
raise
your
right
hand
repeat
after
me.
Well
first
I
just
want
to
give
a
little
brief
bio
trustee,
love,
French,
Christian,
La
French
served
her
first
term
from
December
of
2018
and
will
now
serve
a
second
term
for
our
district.
She
serves
trustee
area
2,
which
covers
Gus,
Franklin,
Melva,
Davis
and
West
Creek,
Elementary,
School,
and
so
now,
if
you
will
just
raise
your
right
hand
and
repeat
after
me,
I
state,
your
name
I.
F
T
F
And
now
trustee
love
French
will
sign
her
oath
if
you'd
like
to
come
over
to
the
table,
and
if
anyone
wants
to
come
up
and
take
pictures
of
her
signing
her
official
oath,
she
will
be
doing
so
at
this
time,
so
feel
free
to
come
on
up
and
get
some
pictures
of
her
signing
her
oath.
It's
a
big,
it's
a
big
big
event.
We're
excited.
F
F
T
And
then
write
something
to
keep
me
on
task.
I
do
want
to
say
that.
X
T
You
my
passion
for
children
is
what
drives
me
as
a
parent.
I
will
always
strive
for
children's
well-being.
It
is
my
duty
and
responsibility
to
ensure
that
Adelanto
Elementary
School
District
is
the
best
school
district
in
San.
Bernardino
County
I
want
to
take
this
opportunity
to
thank
everyone
that
has
continued
to
support
me
over
the
past
four
years.
I
am
honored
to
be
given
the
opportunity
again
to
serve
on
the
Adelanto
Elementary
School
Board
I
appreciate
your
confidence
in
me
to
do
what
is
best
in
the
best
interest
of
our
school
district.
T
I,
look
forward
to
working
with
all
of
the
members
of
the
aesd
school
board
to
ensure
open
communication,
transparency
and
accountability.
My
mission
is
to
support
the
district's
Vision
to
make
aesd
the
high

Premier

establishment
where
dreams
are
awakened.
Academic,
achievement,

integrity
leads
the
way
to
our
future.

I
want
to
thank
everyone
for
their
support,
and
thank
you
for
having
me
for
another
four
years.

You'd
like
to
come
over

sign
your

and
anyone
would
like
to
get
some

she's
gonna
be
signing
her

of
office
here.
Z
I
Good
evening,
everybody-
and
thank
you
for
being
here
tonight.
This
is
probably
one
of
my
greatest
achievements,
along
with
her
I
want
to
say
thank
you
to
Adelanto
for
allowing
me
to
represent
you
to
fight
for
our
kids
every
day
and
I
guarantee
you
that
we're
going
to
be
bringing
our
a
game.
Adelanto
is
here
and
we're
gonna
make
this
great
one
day
at
a
time
as
Mr
Krause
likes
to
stay
building
tomorrow
today.

Memory

I'm
going
to
put
this

She
was
a
beautiful,
beautiful
person
and
I.
Don't
want
us
to
ever
forget
her.
So
just
thank
you
for
being
here
tonight
and
just
let's
just
never
forget
her.
She
was
just
to
be.

Okay,
now
for

can

I
have
a

Let's.

And
then
Madam
president
will
have
I'll
call
up
you
and
trustee

to
the
podium
and
then
we'll
have
a
50-minute
recess
afterwards.
Oh.
A
H
I
would
just
like
to
say
it's
an
honor
serving
on
this
board
and
making
decisions
for
the
district
being
board.
Clerk
comes
with
the
array
of
responsibilities.
You
have
to
make
sure
that
you
know
the
documents
that
we
signed
are
correct
in
order
and
I
would
just
like
to
pass
that
on
to
trustee
Webster
I'm
sure
that
you're
going
to
do
a
phenomenal
job.
H
H
That
you
will
be
able
to
do,
you
know,
serve
in
those
capacities
as
clerk
for
the
Board
of
Trustees.
So
congratulations
and
passing
up
the
tunnel.
Would
you
mean
thank
you
and
thank
you
board
for
voting
for
me.
I
support
clerk
over
the
past
year.
B
A
A
Okay
and
it's
my
my
turn:
what
a
roller
coaster
ride
holy
cow,
but
you
know
being
on
the
board:
I've
learned
so
much
and
I
being
bored
president,
it's
like
trial
by
five
fire.
You
never
are
truly
prepared,
but
it
you
know:
I
I,
want
to
preach
appreciate
of
everyone
who
was
so
so
supportive.
A
F
I'd,
like
trustee
Benson
trustee
love
French
to
come
up
to
the
podium.
If
you
will
please.
R
F
So
first,
the
outgoing
president,
trustee
Christina

presented
to
you
as
board
President.
We
want
to
say
thank
you
on
behalf
of
our
district,
for
your
notorious
leadership
and
District
governance,
to
advance
excellence
in
education
and
for
your
faithful
commitment
to
our
students,
employees
and
community,
and
so
I
want
to
present
with
you
this
honorary
gavel
to
you
for
being
our
board
president.
Thank
you
so
much
for
this
past
year.
F
And
then
president
love
French
I
would
welcome
you
to
our
the
new
Hot
Seat
of
the
president
and
I
want
to
present
with
you
your
official
gavel
as
president
for
this
next
year.
So
congratulations,
thank
you
so
much
and
with
that
we're
gonna
have
a
15-minute
recess
to
for
the
board
members
to
come
out
and
and
talk
to
the
audience
and
welcome
them
and
there's
some
punching
cake
out
there
in
the

as
well
and
Mr

if
you'll
start
the

for
us.
That
would
be
great.

AA
Thank

Thank
you.
Okay,
good
evening
Mr
Krause
Madam,
president
outgoing
Madam,
president
Board
of
Trustees
esteemed
cabinet
and
our
public
teachers,
colleagues,
parents
before
I
begin.
My
remarks
I'd
like
to
take
a
moment
of
silence,
as
this
past
week
marks
one
year
since
we
lost
Amy,
Hines
suddenly
and
tragically.
Please
join
me
now
in
a
moment
to
reflect.
AA
AA
Story
Time
back
in
the
spring
of
2015,
we
settled
a
very
fair
contract
that
unified
our
pay
scales
and
brought
us
up
to
par
with
our
neighboring
districts.
That
was
a
very
good
year.
It
was
the
right
thing
to
do.
Our
parents
knew
it.
Our
Community
Partners
knew
it
and
Dr
Gomez
knew
it.
Sadly,
since
that
time,
we've
continued
to
slip
back
into
last
place
behind
our
neighboring
districts
and
our
earning
power
has
decreased
exponentially
due
to
the
double
whammy
of
rising
inflation
and
not
receiving
even
the
Baseline
Cola
that
the
state
stipulates
for
salaries.
AA
AA
Earning
compounding
interest
for
the
school
district.
I
might
add
all
those
years
aesd
save
money
for
a
rainy
day
and
did
not
pass
the
increase
onto
its
teachers.
That
money
was
not
yours
to
save.
It
was
meant
to
be
spent
on
classroom
teachers
on
salaries
on
benefits,
spend
this
year's
money
on
this
year's
students.
AA
Last
year
at
least
aesd
failed
to
meet
the
requirement
of
spending
60
percent
on
salaries
and
benefits.
They
were
the
only
District
in
the
area
to
fall
short
of
the
requirement
in
order
to
get
around
that
they
signed
a
waiver
and
probably
paid
a
fine,
spend
this
year's
money
on
this
year's
students.
AA
We
have
several
vacancies
for
classroom
teachers
and
no
candidates
to
fill
them.
We
have
steps
and
Pips
in
place
of
fully
credentialed
teachers.
In
some
classes.
We
continue
to
Hemorrhage
teachers
losing
them
to
other
local
districts
that
pay
better.
Even
our
I.T
Department
lacks
staff
power
to
the
tune
of
14
staffers.
If
we
were
appropriately
staffed
for
our
technological
needs,
we
would
have
14
more
workers
than
we
currently
employ.
AA
Our
brothers
and
sisters
in
CSEA
are
working
alongside
us
teachers
and
counselors
to
try
and
meet
the
needs
of
these
children
in
our
district,
and
it
feels
like
we
are
drowning
in
a
stormy
sea,
so
eight
years
down
the
road-
and
we
are
at
least
ten
thousand
dollars
at
every
level,
except
Administration,
ten
thousand
dollars
behind
every
other
District
in
the
area.
Over
the
same
eight
years,
when
we
got
little
or
no
increase,
they
were
steadily
increasing.
AA
Since
2015,
it's
estimated
that
Victor
gained
25
to
30
percent
in
salary,
where
we
gained,
maybe
eight
our
students
deserve
better.
Our
students
deserve
better.
This
is
the
school
district
that
you
run.
You
were
elected
to
manage
this
District.
This
management
of
the
district
depends
on
you.
If
this
District
can't
attract
and
retain
enough
teachers
to
teach
our
students,
which
is
the
most
foundational
function
in
a
school
district,
are
you
really
doing
your
job?
AA
If
this
District
doesn't
settle
fair
and
competitive
salaries
for
our
teachers
and
support
staff,
you
will
be
failing
at
the
job
you
are
put
here
to
do.
Our
salary
scale
must
be
able
to
compare
favorably
with
surrounding
area
districts.
Otherwise,
how
can
we
expect
to
attract
teaching
candidates
to
our
district
during
this
Nationwide
teacher
shortage?
Those
inspired
and
dedicated
people
who
are
still
willing
to
work
in
schools
can
have
their
pick
of
what
district
to
work
for
we
are
even
losing
seasoned
and
Veteran
teachers
to
other
districts.
AA
B
F
Mr
Sinatra:
do
we
have
anybody
in
the
zoom
meeting
for
a
closed
session
from
CSEA.
V
F
F
It's
with
you
this
evening
and
we're
going
to
in
no
particular
order,
we'd
like
to
start
with
Miss
Risa
Breeze
and
welcome
her
to
the
podium.
AB
AB
You've
y'all
are
I'm
sure
tired
of
hearing
from
me,
but
these
are
the
things
that
we
experience
with
that
we
witness
our
kids
experiencing
where
they're
stuck
in
PE
all
day,
because
we
don't
have
the
teachers
to
cover
their
classes.
We
can't
get
the
subs
to
cover
their
classes.
There
have
been
kids
who
have
been
in
PE
for
literally
six
class
periods,
and
this
is
because
we
are
undercutting
our
teachers.
AB
AB
AC
Good
evening
board
trustees
in
our
cabinet
I'm
standing
here
to
ask
that
you
please
reduce
class
sizes.
I
came
to
Braddock
at
36.
Students
two
have
left
our
district,
leaving
me
with
34,
but
my
co-worker
has
36..
AC
We
are
having
difficulty
increasing
difficult
times,
keeping
our
class
sizes
low
because
we
are
without
highly
qualified
teachers.
It
is
not
safe,
nor
it
is
effective
to
teach
in
a
classroom
with
36
students.
AC
When
we
are
comparing
to
other
students
in
our
area,
they
have
more
Divergent
abilities
and
much
more
extreme
behavior
issues
because
of
this
teachers
are
looking
to
other
districts
for
work.
When
prospective
teachers
look
at
places
to
work,
they
see
the
salary
schedule
and
will
go
to
schools
in
other
districts
that
pay
20
000
more.
AC
For
example,
when
we
have
people
coming
to
interview
for
Atlanta
and
HR
asks,
why
should
we
hire
you?
Those
teachers
are
turning
around
and
they're
asking
nah.
You
tell
me
why
Physicians
are
vacant
in
our
district.
Why
are
people
leaving
our
district
and
going
elsewhere
so
think
about
that
and
negotiate
in
good
faith?
Thank
you
very
much.
U
AD
Trustees
and
Cabinet
member,
my
name
is
Cecilia
Tracy
I
came
this
evening
to
address
the
Board
of
Trustees
as
a
community
member
on
negotiations
for
salary.
Recently,
I
became
aware
that
other
districts
would
accept
my
application
and
I
would
receive
a
hundred
percent
on
the
salary
schedule
for
the
years
I
have
served
teaching
this
amount
would
amount
to
about
a
ten
thousand
dollar
raise.
AD
Fortunately,
I
missed
the
opportunity,
because
I
have
a
great
affection
for
the
people
here
and
many
of
my
co-workers
and
your
administration
were
my
students.
So
I
also
want
the
current
board
to
understand
that
teachers
over
the
years
have
made
sacrifices
in
salary.
I
went
over
five
years
with
no
raise
and
took
five
furlough
days
which
affected
my
years
towards
retirement,
because
the
school
year
was
not
complete
because
we
were
asked
to
do
that
by
the
by
the
district
so
that
we
could
save
money.
AD
AD
AD
Lastly,
you're
looking
at
a
large
group
of
people
ready
to
reach
the
year
30
Mark
in
this
district
and
those
people
are
going
to
have
to
live
on
the
amount
of
money
earned
in
their
last
year
of
work.
They
have
been
loyal
given
up
time
with
their
own
families
and
created
a
place
where
students
feel
valued.
Did
you
know
that
we
have
had
a
George
student
on
the
International,
Space
Station
and
not
to
brag?
AD
But
my
son
does
the
programming
for
the
the
system
that
sends
the
food
and
the
astronauts
to
space,
and
he
was
a
music
teacher
at
George.
So
I
tell
my
students
with
great
power
comes
great
responsibility,
it's
time
to
consider
options
that
promise
and
promote
the
worth,
and
the
greater
good
of
the
stakeholders
in
this
District
I
appreciate
your
attention
and
thank
you
for
this
opportunity
to
express
my
opinion
and
congratulations.
Ladies
and
your
students.
F
AE
AE
We
started
this
year
off
with
high
morale
a
nice
fresh
year
lacking
some
of
the
old
covid
restrictions,
we're
feeling
good
fresh
here.
As
usual,
we
spent
a
lot
of
time
getting
our
classrooms
ready
and
a
lot
of
us
spend
a
lot
of
money,
getting
our
classrooms
ready
to
create
proper
learning
environments
for
our
students.
This
year,
particularly
I
invested
in
quality
wall
coverings
and
borders,
as
well
as
comfy
bean
bags
to
create
a
motivating
Reading
area
for
my
students,
I,
try
to
add
something
every
year
to
enhance
of
my
learning
environment.
AE
For
my
students
this
year
starts.
We
teach
we
do
ssts,
we
do
interventions,
we
use
our
curriculum.
We
supplement
with
to
meet
our
students
needs.
Many
with
very
large
class
sizes
would
make
this
very
hard
to
manage.
We
meet
with
parents,
we
work
on
PBIS.
We
monitor
growth
and
I'm,
proud
to
say:
I
gave
my
students
their
star
assessment
today
and
they
average
as
a
class
0.9
months
gross
growth
on
their
math.
That's
nine
months
and
four
months.
AE
AE
The
list
could
go
on
all
of
this
and
we
also
feel
the
pressure
of
the
current
state
of
the
economy
groceries
gas.
We
all
know
that
family
budgets
have
tightened
so
I
can't
wrap
my
head
around.
How
five
percent
is
an
offer
that
is
given
to
us,
while
districts
around
us
already
settled
for
respectable
amounts
more
than
this
with
inflation?
Well
well,
beyond
that,
we
shouldn't
have
to
beg
for
a
fair
settlement.
We
are
always
told
we
are
valued,
but
just
as
we
teach
our
students,
actions
are
louder
than
words.
AE
I,
don't
see
any
action
over
the
years
I've
seen
many
leave.
Many
teachers
leave
because
of
the
way
our
district
values
teachers
I've
seen
season.
Teachers
leave
I've,
seen
new
teachers
leave
after
a
few
years
to
transfer
to
another
District,
especially
new
teachers.
We
spend
a
lot
of
time
helping
those
teachers
getting
them
acquainted
and
then
they
leave,
and
then
we
do
it
all
over
again.
The
teachers
that
have
been
here
for
a
very
long
time,
so
many
amazing
teachers
I've
had
the
pleasure
working
with
are
not
replaceable.
AE
This
narrative
has
to
change
that.
Adelanto
is
the
lesser
of
the
districts
we
need.
Adelanto
I'm
almost
done
is
that
okay,
we
need
Adelanto
to
be
a
desirable
place
to
work
and
we
will
get
more
desirable
candidates.
I
implore
you
to
take
your
part
in
responsibility
in
changing
this
narrative
and
guide
negotiations
to
approve
teacher
salary.
So
we
can
compare
with
other
districts
and
retain
teachers,
qualify,
teachers
that
actually
stay
and
want
to
help
our
teacher
our
district
be
the
best
it
can
be.
Thank.
AE
Z
Good
evening,
Board
of
Trustees
and
cabinet,
my
name
is
Carlos
Fuentes
I'm
an
employee,
but
before
I'm
an
employee
I'm,
a
parent
of
three
children
that
attend
school
in
Adelanto
School
District
I,
wanted
to
spend
some
time
sharing
with
you
I'm
nervous
about
my
children's
teachers.
So
a
little
bit
different
approach,
my
eldest
son
attends
George
School.
His
teacher
is
Mr
Eddie
C
over
summer
I
was
working
with
my
son
because
he
was
having
trouble
writing
a
paragraph.
Last
week
my
son
came
home
with
a
six
paragraph
essay
about
the
seasons.
Z
Z
My
middle
child,
my
my
son
design,
he
also
attends
George.
His
teacher
is
Miss
Debbie
Thomas.
Last
week,
I
was
having
a
conversation
with
Miss
Thomas
about
the
importance
of
subitizing
versus
counting
subitizing,
his
accounting
method.
That
is
often
an
indicator
of
success
in
higher
level
math
courses.
Mrs
Thomas
was
explaining
to
me
how
she
teaches
subitizing
to
her
kindergarteners
and
how
my
son
is
showing
that
skill
in
his
work,
I
was
so
impressed
with
the
level
of
knowledge
that
Ms
Thomas
had
and
was
immensely
happy
that
she
is
my
son's
teacher.
Z
My
youngest,
my
daughter
and
Miss
Thomas
is
here
by
the
way,
and
so
is
Miss
Rivera
that
I'm
gonna
speak
about
my
youngest,
my
daughter.
She
attends
TK
at
Eagle,
Ranch
and
she's
in
Miss
Rivera's
class.
My
daughter
is
learning
her
alphabet.
Her
letter
sounds
her
numbers
counting
all
the
essential
skills,
but
that's
not
what
impresses
me
most
about
Miss
Rivera.
What
impresses
me
most
is
that
Miss
Rivera
is
turning
my
daughter
into
a
better
person.
Z
Z
She's
spoiled,
but
since
starting
Miss
Rivera's
class
I
have
seen
her
mature
I
have
seen
her
become
more
kind
and
more
respectful.
Thank
you.
Miss
Rivera.
Z
These
three
teachers
are
doing
amazing
work
and
they
deserve
my
recognition.
They
deserve
your
recognition
as
well.
Furthermore,
they
deserve
to
be
rewarded
for
the
amazing
work
that
they
do
it.
Saddings
me,
the
Adelanto
teachers
are
the
lowest
paid
in
the
desert.
It
sadders
me
further
that
our
district
chose
to
offer
a
five
percent
increase
to
their
salaries,
effectively
giving
them
a
pay
cut
due
to
inflation.
Z
Other
districts
are
settling
negotiations
with
double-digit
packages
and
even
Social
Security
Administration
is
increasing
their
payments
by
8.7
percent
to
those
that
receive
benefits.
Mr
C,
Miss,
Thomas
and
Mr
Miss
Rivera
deserve
better,
and
this
District
needs
to
do
better.
I.
Ask
you
to
direct
the
district's
negotiation
negotiations
team
to
offer
a
salary
package
that
respects
and
appreciates
teachers
by
paying
them
a
comparable
wage
to
other
districts
in
our
area.
Thank
you.
AF
Died
so
my
speech,
I'm
gonna,
remember
it.
My
most
important
thing
is
student
achievement
when
I
wake
up
everything
I
do
even
I
wake
up
at
night
thinking
about
student
achievement,
that's
what
I
care
about
that's
my
purpose.
I
know
that
and
I
am
blessed
to
work
at
a
site
with
a
great
administrator
administrative
team.
Excuse
me
that
support
me.
The
previous
administrator
did
as
well.
AF
I
feel
very
lucky
that
way
and
I'm
very
fortunate
to
work
with
Mr
Fuentes,
as
my
partner
I'm
very
blessed,
to
have
that
and
I
know
how
fortunate
I
am,
but
I
am
terrified
that
we're
going
to
lose
the
amazing
talent
in
this
group.
The
amazing
talent
that
we
have
in
this
District
again
there
are
phenomenal
people.
There
are
skills
here.
There's
gold
in
this
room
and
I
don't
want
to
lose
that
because
Hesperia
is
going
to
take
all
years.
AF
17
000
new
homes,
they're
gonna,
be
taking
everyone,
you
know,
and
people
that
I'd
never
ever
thought
would
mention
leaving
or
talking
about
it.
Now
we
can't
let
that
happen,
our
students
matter
again.
We
need
to
keep
the
talent
for
our
students,
and
you
know,
keep
that
going
please
and
the
class
size
is
enough
has
been
said
about
that.
It's
not
safe.
Let's
make
things
available
for
our
students
they're
what
matters.
The
only
reason
any
of
us
are
here
and
I
know
you
guys
share
that
passion.
I
worked
with
many
of
you
for
many
years.
F
W
AG
I'm
very
used
to
that's
how
my
name
gets
right
as
I
apologize
if
I
mess
it
up
good
evening,
and
some
of
this
will
be
repeated,
but
as
I
tell
my
students,
sometimes
the
more
you
hear
things
the
more
it
sticks.
AG
I've
been
with
this
district
for
15
years,
I've
spoken
to
this
board
about
four
times
almost
every
time
it's
been
up
here
to
either
save
my
job
due
to
layoffs
in
2008
and
so
on,
and
again
for
vouching
for
our
students
with
class
sizes
with
supplies
with
things
that
we
need
a
few
years
ago,
this
District
held
a
professional
development
all
about
grit
and
determination.
Yes,
Grit
the
buzzword,
all
about
staying
determined
despite
the
challenges
and
odds
you
face
to
say
this
career
requires
grit
is
an
understatement.
AG
AG
Some
days
we
walk
away
with
great
joy
and
glimpses
of
Hope
such
as
tonight,
because
those
ever
sought
after
light
bulbs,
went
off
that
day.
Those
glorious,
aha
moments
happened
other
days
most
days.
Lately
we
leave
feeling
defeated,
overwhelmed
and
lacking
hope.
It
is
on
these
days
that
we
need
a
board
and
administrators
that
we
can
look
to
for
support.
That
support
should
come
in
the
form
of
actions,
actions
that
create
the
best
possible
learning
environment
for
our
students.
Unfortunately,
that
currently
does
not
seem
to
be
the
case.
AG
You
currently
seem
to
believe
that
36
11
to
13
year
olds,
in
one
room
with
one
teacher,
is
the
best
learning
environment.
If
you
didn't
believe
that,
then
you
have
to
explain
the
lack
of
immediately
accepting
our
30
class
cap
at
the
negotiations
and
not
setting
it
to
the
next
meeting.
Furthermore,
you
must
believe
that
being
understaffed
and
underprepared
for
the
looming
teacher
shortage
is
best
for
kids.
AG
AG
You
have
to
know
that
the
few
new
teachers
coming
into
this
profession
have
great
power.
That
power
is
choice.
They
are
the
small
Supply
available
to
fill
a
huge
demand,
knowing
that
they
will
always
choose
a
district
with
the
highest
compensation
to
start
their
career,
especially
if
that
District
also
offers
smaller
class
sizes.
AG
So
my
final
question
to
you
this
evening
is:
do
you
want
to
be
the
support
that
we
need
pushing
through
the
challenges
in
our
classrooms?
Or
do
you
want
to
be
another
one
of
the
challenges
that
tests
our
grit
and
makes
us
ask
do
I
have
another
year
in
me?
Thank
you.
AG
AD
F
AH
Right,
yeah
I,
don't
know
if
it
seems
like
this
is
all
about
the
union,
stuff
and
I.
Guess
I
in
a
roundabout
sort
of
way.
I
can
kind
of
agree
with
everybody,
and
you
know
say
that
you
know
when
I
came
to
work
at
Columbia.
I
knew
it
was
going
to
be
tough
because
I
had
taught
there
for
the
county
for
a
couple
years
before
I
went
and
taught
in
juvenile
hall.
AH
Where
you
know
we
have
had
several
lockdowns
and
things
like
that.
This
year
we
have
14
15,
17,
18,
sometimes
20
teachers.
Out
at
a
time
we
don't
get.
Our
preps
lunchtime
is
spent
working
I,
get
there
at
7
A.M
in
the
morning
to
do
laundry
and
stuff
for
my
basketball,
leagues
and
stuff
that
I
run
in
the
evenings
to
try
to
make
sure
our
kids
have
opportunities
to
do
fun,
things
that
that
make
their
lives
worthwhile
and
fun
while
they're
at
school,
and
so
yeah
I
have
to
agree
with
everybody.
AH
What,
but
I
would
love
to
see
the
the
you
know
our
salary
go
up
I'm
on
the
same
page
with
everybody
else,
but
actually
what
I
want
to
talk
about
is
when
we
make
a
decision
to
release
somebody
out
of
their
contract
at
a
pivotal
time
in
the
year
when
we
really
rely
on
that
person.
AH
Speaking
of
our
vice
principal
at
Columbia,
I,
don't
know
if
this
is
the
right
time
and
place
if
I'm,
if
I'm
wrong.
Please
stop
me
now.
AH
So
yeah
I
just
want
to
say
you
know
that
that
Miss
Phillips
is
an
integral
part
of
our
special
ed
team
and
having
her
leave
it.
This
time,
I
just
found
out
today
and
I
I
was
like
whoa.
I
can't
even
understand
this,
because
we
really
need
her
and
and
it
puts
us
in
a
bad
spot
and
makes
a
tough
job
even
harder
and
man
please,
if
you
guys,
have
a
chance
to
change
your
mind.
AH
Please
keep
her,
so
we
can
get
this
year
finished
out
because
we
had
a.
We
had
a
situation.
This
year
we
couldn't
get
a
hold
of
the
parent.
The
IEP
was
scheduled
at
the
wrong
time.
We
didn't
have
any
paperwork
done
and
and
me
and
Miss,
Phillips
and
and
Miss
Marianne
Weber
put
put
together
an
IEP
in
an
hour
with
the
parent
as
a
team.
It
was
an
amazing
situation.
AH
I've
never
experienced
anything
like
it
in
25
years,
working
in
special
ed
and
losing
Miss
Phillips
at
this
time
is
man
I,
just
can't
say
enough.
Please
try
to
consider
keeping
her
to
help
us,
because
it's
so
hard
already
guys.
Please
you
know,
that's
it.
Thank.
AH
F
And
then
we
have
a
last
one
more
person,
I
believe
that
their
first
name
is
Linda
Mr
Sinatra.
Do
you
see
a
Linda
I?
Don't
have
a
last
name,
it
just
says
last
name:
aest
parent.
We.
A
C
A

A

Okay,
I'll
take
notes,
trusty

A

A

A

Okay,
now
we
go.
Oh
I
have

The

A
Do
we
have
to

that
thing
again?
Okay,.
F
Madam
president,
if
the
board
pleases,
we
read
it
during
closed
session.
If
it
pleases
the
board,
we
can
skip
reading
it
again
for
Open

comments.
A
O
W
A
Oh
yes,
so
first
thing
10
1002
do
do.
We
have
a
rep
represent
senator
from
a
adta
okay,
how
about
from
CSEA.
F
V
Good
evening,
president
bands
trustees,
Mr
Krause
cabinet
certificate
of
Staff
classified
staff
and
all
others
attending
this
meeting.
V
V
I
have
to
agree
with
our
teachers.
We
aesd
employees
are
not
compensated
for
are
worth
their
compensate
or
experience.
Excuse
me
with
classified
staff
of
our
minimum.
Wage
keeps
going
up
in
state
of
California,
and
our
salaries
stay
the
same.
So
pretty
soon.
These
youngins
are
going
to
catch
up
with
people
who
have
been
here
for
a
quarter
of
a
century.
So
it's
something
that
we
need
really
need
to
look
into
along
with
our
teachers.
V
V
On
another
note,
let
me
see
as
far
as
negotiations
is
concerned
for
CSE
s-c-s-e-a.
We
have
been
going
back
and
forth
with
the
few
articles
and
we
have
not
even
touched
salaries.
V
I
would
like
to
remind
our
trustees
and
cabinet
that
this
Thursday
on
December
15th
George,
visual
Performing
Arts
magnet
school,
is
hosting
our
Polar
Express
literacy
night
event
from
5
00
PM
to
7
P.M.
We
will
have
for
our
students
and
younger
children
letter
writing
to
Santa
making
Christmas
cards
ornament
decorating.
A
scavenger
hunt.
V
V
Today
was
festive
hat
day,
I,
don't
know
if
you
can
see
my
hat
I,
dare
not
take
it
off,
because
I
will
then
have
pet
hair
and
I
know.
You
all
know
what
that
means.
V
I
would
like
to
oh.
No,
let
me
see
where
am
I
excuse
me.
V
I
would
like
to
wish
you
all
a
very
merry
Christmas
and
a
happy
prosperous,
New,
Year
I
know
this
is
the
last
meeting
for
our
year
here
for
2022
and
please
enjoy
your
family
and
your
loved
ones.
We
all
deserve
that.
Thank
you
for
so
much
for
allowing
me
to
speak
tonight.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
F
Great
thank
you.
Mr
Hunt
I
appreciate
that
and
appreciate
the
team
working
with
you
to
solve
your
concerns.
Thank
you.
Next
we'd
like
to
welcome
Miss
Maria
Rivera
to
the
podium,
welcome
Mr
Robert.
D
Hello
and
good
evening,
I'm
Maria
Rivera,
the
TK
teacher
at
Eagle,
Ranch
and
I'm
here
in
hopes
of
getting
a
that
squeaky
wheel,
moving
and
planting
a
seed
in
hopes
that
we
can
get
our
permanent
TK
aids
for
next
school
year.
D
Last
February,
2nd
of
2021
I,
emailed
all
the
trustees
and
our
superintendent
and
our
Union
to
let
you
guys
know
that
TK
was
requiring
a
Aid,
a
full-time
Aid
in
our
classroom
and
that
we
should
be
proactive
and
being
prepared
and
getting
ready
for
the
start
of
the
school
year.
Well,
months
went
by
and
I
emailed
again
and
eventually
on
May
19th.
D
We
finally
had
a
meeting
with
some
of
the
principals
and
Dr
doison
and
Carol
Colburn,
and
we
had
that
one
meeting
during
the
summer
time
I
approached
Carol,
Coburn,
again,
hey.
What's
going
on
with
our
aide,
we
really
would
like
to
start
off
the
year
with
our
permanent
Aid.
As
our
kids
need
consistency.
Oh
well,
she
stated
you
know
we
kept
me
during
the
summer
I'm
like
well,
we
can,
we
can,
you
know,
volunteer
and
then
first
day
of
school
comes.
D
We
don't
have
our
aides
on
that
day,
we're
told
you
will
have
an
aid,
you
will
have
an
aid,
it
will
be
a
sub
aid,
but
she
will
be
there.
I'm,
like
okay,
so
comes
Friday
before
school
starts,
we're
all
freaking
out
at
11
o'clock.
In
the
morning.
We
nobody
has
AIDS
nobody,
it's
1,
30
and
I
still
don't
have
an
aide.
My
secretary
checks,
no
Aid,
so
I
like
called
Gloria,
hey
Gloria,
my
daughter
is
a
para:
can
she
come
so
she
gets
her
in
I
get
an
eight
well.
D
D
Another
teacher
I
think
she
has
a
sub
for
the
morning
and
a
sub
for
the
afternoon,
so
they
figure
it
out.
So
what
I'm
trying
here
to
do
is
hoping
that
we
get
with
CSEA,
because
I
was
told
it
needs
to
be.
Those
positions
need
to
be
negotiated
with
CSEA
and
a
job
description
needs
to
be
created.
Well,
I
haven't
heard
anything
it's
December
and
I
haven't
heard
anything
and
I
talked
to
my
friends
at
other
school
district.
D
Oh,
we
have
a
full-blown
TK
curriculum
for
you
know
to
meet
the
needs
of
our
of
our
little
ones
that
are
poor
and
that
becomes
a
little
bit
more
challenging.
So
you'll
hear
from
me
again:
kids
need
consistency,
and
hopefully
we
can
get
our
permanent
people
next
school
year.

M
Good
evening,
Board
of
Trustees
cabinet
and
aesd
Community
I
teach
music
at
Columbia
Middle
School
this
week
is
unofficially
known
as
hug
a
music
teacher
week
or
School
holiday
concert
week,
so
kudos
to
the
Melva
Davis
music
staff
on
their
performances.
Earlier,
as
I
prepare
myself
and
my
students
for
our
holiday
concerts
tomorrow
morning,
I'm
experiencing
normal
music
teacher,
pre-concert,
Stress
and
Anxiety,
and
in
my
34-year
teaching
career
I've,
learned
to
plan
and
prepare
for
that
today,
though,
I
learned
that
we
at
Columbia
are
losing
yet
another
administrator
I
am
almost
without
words.
M
This
has
been
the
most
stressful
of
my
six
years
in
this
district
and,
frankly,
also
in
my
long
teaching
career,
we
at
CMS
have
been
in
survival
mode
for
far
too
long
having
teachers,
administrators
and
other
staff
leave
be
forced
out
or
encouraged
to
leave
our
site
during
the
school
year
leaves.
Those
of
us
who
remain
to
fill
in
the
gaps
cover
the
classes
and
try
to
maintain
a
positive
environment
for
our
students.
The
loss
of
another
high
visibility,
adult
on
our
campus
leaves
students
without
the
stability.
M
She
has
helped
to
provide
I
used
to
think
I'd
have
another
good,
five
or
ten
years
left
to
teach
in
teaching
years
left
in
me.
From
this
point,
I
had
planned
to
work
until
my
retirement
in
Adelanto
at
Columbia,
where
I
have
worked
to
build
a
music
program
for
some
of
our
most
underserved
students,
I
love,
my
students
and
I,
know
I
provide
a
positive
productive
place
for
them
every
day
in
my
classroom,
but
the
stress
is
getting
to
me.
I
confess
I
have
visited
edjoin
with
increasing
frequency
this
semester.
M
F
AI
Good
evening
board,
can
you
hear
me
yeah?
Yes,
ma'am
all
right?
Thank
you,
I'm,
here
with
a
couple
of
issues
from
Columbia,
Middle
School,
mainly
being
the
lack
of
communication
from
the
top
down
on
Friday
December,
2nd,
our
counselor
sent
out
an
email
stating
about
talking
to
all
of
you
guys
about
how
we
have
been
missing
a
counselor
for
well
over
a
year
and
when
asked
for
extra
compensation
for
the
extra
work,
she
has
been
not
denied
it
and
ignored
okay,
Miss
Turner.
That
is
the
last
time.
I
spoke
with
Miss
Kroll.
AI
You
were
the
only
one
who
had
responded
to
her
and
we
greatly
appreciate
it.
Thank
you.
The
district's
response
was
to
on
Monday
morning
or
Monday
afternoon.
All
of
a
sudden
the
position
is
being
flown.
Did
we
forget
that
we
hadn't
had
a
counselor
for
over
a
year?
Did
we
forget
that
we're
paying
a
counselor
who's
just
sitting
at
home?
From
my
understanding,
we
also
have
teachers
who
have
been
placed
on
administrative
leave
since
the
beginning
of
September.
AI
AI
AI
AI
For
each
student,
that
means
they've
had
511
periods,
maybe
for
the
next
board
meeting
I'm
going
to
go
and
count
how
many
periods
we've
had
to
sub
as
a
school,
so
that
you
could
actually
see
these
numbers
and
how
they
are
hurting
our
children
six
times
in
PE
one
day
is
not
acceptable.
Learning
for
our
kids.
They
deserve
better
and
we
deserve
better.
F
The
last
speaker
for
Open
session
we
have
we
like
to
welcome
Miss
Nicole
Kroll.
If
she's
in
Zoo
meeting
Mr
Sinatra.
Can
you
ask
her
Romeo,
please.
F
AJ
Hi
everybody
I
do
apologize
if
this
is
a
little
slow
or
awkward.
This
is
my
first
time,
speaking
and
I'm,
also
incredibly
under
the
weather
right
now.
So,
as
Miss
Walden
said,
on
December,
2nd
I
did
send
out
an
email
to
all
of
you
and
Miss
Turner
was
the
only
one
who
has
responded.
AJ
I'm,
currently,
the
only
counselor
at
Columbia
Middle
School,
since
December
2021
I
have
been
the
only
counselor
Krista
Wiley
left
in
November
of
2021
before
Thanksgiving
break
and
has
yet
to
return,
but
is
somehow
still
filling
a
position
as
a
counselor
here,
which
makes
zero
sense
to
me
from
December
2021
to
the
end
of
the
school
year
in
June,
2022
I
was
the
only
counselor
and
received
zero
support
from
District
counselors.
AJ
No
one
checked
in
no
one
stopped
by.
There
was
absolutely
nothing
when
we
finished
out
the
year.
Our
student
population
was
close
to
650
students
with
one
counselor
myself,
and
just
so
you
guys
all
know.
Last
year
was
my
very
first
year
doing
this
on
June
14
2022.
So
over
the
summer,
I
had
a
meeting
with
Mr
Moran
to
discuss
a
pay
increase
or
a
stipend
to
supplement
the
fact
that
I
did
two
jobs
for
basically
an
entire
school
year,
while
only
receiving
the
salary
of
one
person.
AJ
AJ
AJ
Apparently.
That
is
only
on
paper,
because
we
are
now
in
December
2022,
with
the
student
population
of
730,
and
still
only
one
counselor
me,
the
only
District
support
I
have
been
given.
This
far
has
come
from
the
district
social
worker,
Miss
Marlette
Allure,
who,
let
me
tell
you,
has
been
a
huge
huge
help.
AJ
I
decided
to
reach
out
to
all
of
you
with
my
email
and
to
speak
today
on
the
advice
of
my
union
representative
to
ask
for
a
stipend
back
dating
to
last
December,
so
December
2021
other
people
in
the
district
received
stipends
for
doing
the
jobs
of
multiple
people,
which
I
saw
in
the
meeting
documents
from
November
29th
District
staff,
admin
staff,
teacher
staff,
all
of
which
receive
stipends
for
doing
extra
work.
AJ
So
I'm,
not
understanding
why
I
should
be
expected
to
the
job
of
two
counselors,
while
also
assisting
admin,
because
now
I'm
being
brought
in
to
help
with
discipline,
which
is
not
part
of
my
job
title
and
substitute
teaching,
because
we
are
bleeding
teachers
and
have
nobody,
none
of
which
are
my
jobs
either,
but
because
I
love
that
school
and
my
students
I'm
doing
it
to
help
and
I'm
not
receiving
any
kind
of
Skyping.
I,
also
asked
the
stipend
continue
to
be
given
into
a
permanent.
AJ
Second
counselor
has
been
hired
and
is
there
not
a
temporary,
not
a
substitute,
not
a
teacher
who
happens
to
hold
the
credential
but
is
never
canceled
before
all
of
the
added
work
and
responsibilities
are
starting
to
wear
on
my
physical
as
well
as
mental
health,
as
you
can
see
I'm
out
for
the
week,
because
I
am
sick
and
all
of
my
students
are
now
suffering
if
I
were
to
go
on.
Full
stress
leave
there'd,
be
nobody
there
for
them
and
at
this
time
that
is
what
I
am
asking
for.
Thank
you.
A
Thank
you,
okay.
So
now
we
we
we
go
on
to

can
I
get
a

to
proof.
H
Twisted
our
motion
to
amend
the

panel
to
also
include
that
the
student
will
attend
an
alternative

program
upon
his
return
or
the
20
2023-2024
school
year.
E
A
F
Yes,
thank
you,
members
of
the
board
good
evening,
everyone
that
is
out
here
in
person
and
also
in
Zoom
first
off
I'd,
like
to
congratulate
Christy
love
French
for
becoming
the
new
president
this
evening
and
also
trustee
Webster
for
being
the
new
Clerk,
and
and
thank
you
for
trustee
bentz,
for
your
Service
as
the
president
and
trustee
Turner.
Has
your
services
the
clerk
this
last
year.
Thank
you
so
much
for
your
leadership.
F
Next
I
would
like
to
thank
all
of
our
staff
and
students
from
Melba
Davis
that
came
out
this
evening
and
did
a
just
a
stellar
presentation.
The
choir
and
the
musicians
that
are
here,
I
always
try
to
play
an
instrument,
never
was
successful
at
it,
but
I
am
glad
to
see
that
our
students
are
thriving
in
their
music
programs.
It's
always
exciting
to
see
that
as
well
and
I
want
to
thank
all
the
teachers
that
also
came
out
this
evening
in
support
of
their
colleagues
who
spoke
at
our
board
meetings.
F
I
can
speak
and-
and
let
you
know
that
on
behalf
of
cabinet
as
well,
we
do
appreciate
your
comments,
every
board
meeting
that
you
come
or
any
opportunity.
You
have
to
approach
us
and
and
and
let
us
know,
let
us
know
what
you're
thinking.
Let
us
know
how
we
can
be
a
better
service
to
you,
and
so
please,
by
all
means,
never
hesitate
to
approach
us
and
ask
us
that
and
again
I.
F
Thank
you
for
everyone
that
came
out
this
evening
to
voice
their
concerns
before
the
board
in
person
this
evening,
as
well
as
on
Zoom
I,
want
to
say
they
had
a
great
opportunity
to
attend
the
El
Mirage
holiday
program.
Today,
at
El
Mirage,
they
did
a
great
job
out
there
about
150
parents
and
all
the
students
were
out
there.
The
NPR
was
packed
cafeteria
and
they
did
a
great
job,
singing
Jingle,
Bells
and
other
songs
out
there,
so
that
was
exciting
to
be
able
to
join
them.
F
I
was
also
privileged
to
be
able
to
be
at
the
Victorville
Christmas
parade
where
Mesa
Linda
was
involved
in
the
Christmas
parade
out
there,
and
then
this
past
Saturday
the
Adelanto
Christmas
parade,
where
we
had
eight
schools
that
were
in
the
parade.
So
it's
always
exciting
and
then
we
actually
had
a
float
for
the
school
district
and
it
was
exciting
to
have
members
of
the
board
on
our
float
this
year.
We're
going
to
make
that
better,
veteran
Dr
dwyzen
was
able
to
come
out.
F
Mr
Moran
had
class,
but
he
would
have
joined
us
as
well.
But
we
had
a
great
time,
interacting
with
all
of
the
families
in
the
community,
and
it's
just
a
great
opportunity
to
showcase
our
students
and
all
of
the
great
talents
that
they
have
out
there.
F
So
I
was
excited
to
do
that
and
just
want
to
wish
everybody
a
great
winter
break,
whatever
you
decide
to
do,
take
time
for
yourself
and
and
make
sure
that
that
you
relax
and
rejuvenate
and
our
students
and
families
as
well,
and
thank
you
again
to
all
the
teachers
and
classified
staff
for
all
the
work
you
do
throughout
the
year.
I
I
do
appreciate
it.
I
know
the
board
appreciates
it.
F
Staff
appreciates
it
and-
and
we
will
work
to
get
to
where
we
need
to
be,
and
so
thank
you
for
all
of
that
and
I'm
now
going
to
turn
it
over
to
Mr,
Miranda
and
then
to
start
on
the
end
and
then
we'll
work
our
way
back
this
way.
Thank
you.
Y
Okay,
all
right
good
evening,
president
Ben's
trustees,
District
colleagues
and
community
members,
so
I'm
gonna
I,
know
we're
short
on
time
tonight.
So
I'm
gonna
make
this
brief.
So
I'm
gonna
not
share
some
other
stuff
for
our
staff,
but
adta
and
CC
were
in
negotiations.
We've
met
three
times
we're
moving
forward
and
we're
going
to
continue
to
work
hard
and
make
progress.
Y
In
regards
to
the
comments
regarding
the
TK
educator
job
description,
the
district
and
csca
are
meeting
actually
this
Thursday
to
discuss
several
job
descriptions
that
have
been
pending,
including
the
TK
job
description,
so
I
wanted
to
make
that
announcement
and
then
I
want
to
remind
the
community
and
staff
that
the
district
continues
to
offer
the
EAP
program
and
and
something
else
that
I
don't
think
I
mentioned
in
the
past.
Y
Regarding
the
virtual
Wellness,
Center,
I,
think
Tasha
and
her
staff
had
mentioned
it,
but
I
think
with
the
holidays
coming
and
the
winter
break
approaching,
I'd
like
to
remind
the
staff
to
to
if
they
want
some
ways
to
relax
and
and
and
cope
with,
the
hustle
and
bustle
of
the
holiday
season.
Y
To
look
there,
there's
there's
videos
on
and
activities
on,
self-care
other
resources,
access
to
counselors
care,
Solace,
videos
on
sound
music
relaxation
resources,
mindfulness
exercises,
and
this
and
other
many
other
things
so
also
I
wanna,
as
we
saw
tonight,
had
the
pleasure
of
attending
Melva
Davis's
holiday
choir
last
night.
Y
So
would
what
you
saw
tonight
I
had
the
pleasure
of
seeing
the
entire
program
last
night
and
there
were
many
other
sixth
through
eighth
grade
students
who
performed
last
night,
so
I'd
like
to
congratulate
them
on
their
performance
and
then
just
again.
Thank
you
to
the
teachers,
Mrs
Pearce
and
Mr
Davis
for
leading
that
work
and
then
a
plug
for
Melva
Davis.
Y
They
will
hold
their
annual
holiday
band
concert
tomorrow,
night
at
6
pm
and
then
I'd
like
to
just
thank
Mrs
Corona
Castaneda,
a
third
grade
teacher
at
Westside,
Park
I
had
the
pleasure
of
reading
to
her
students.
Yesterday,
I
read
the
book.
Titled
too
many
tamales
written
by
Gary
Soto
students
were
engaged
active
listeners.
It
was
great
to
connect
with
them
about
that
story
and
in
fact,
I
did
share
with
the
kids
that
I
actually
read
that
story.
Y
In
Spanish,
when
I
was
a
bilingual
teacher
back
in
the
day,
so
it
was
great
to
get
to
the
school
yesterday
and
and
read
to
them
and
then
finally,
I'd
just
like
to
remind
everybody
in
the
community
that
December
break
for
schools
begins
next
week.
Schools
will
be
closed.
December
19th,
through
January
2nd
the
district
office
will
be
closed
on
Friday
December
23rd
closed
on
Monday
December
26th,
as
well
as
Friday,
December,
30th
and
January,
2nd
they're
kind
of
odd
days,
but
because
the
holidays
fall
on
a
Saturday
or
and
a
Sunday.
Y
Q
All
right,
good
good
evening,
I'm,
just
gonna,
share
a
few
of
our
highlights
from
academic
services
this
evening.
So
first
up
we
have
on
this
coming
Monday
of
December
19th,
we'll
have
our
Winter
Wonderland
event
and
our
board.
You
do
have
a
flyer
for
that:
Winter
Wonderland
event.
This
is
for
our
foster,
Youth
and
homeless
students
we're
going
to
hold
that
at
Mesa,
Linda
from
11
to
2.
I
want
to
thank
you.
We
put
out
a
just
anybody
who
can
help
we've
received
over
50
people
of
teachers.
Q
Classified
we're
just
very
thankful,
for
the
outpouring
of
support
to
help
us
have
a
day
of
service
for
our
families
and
our
students,
and
so
we're
very
thankful.
It's
going
to
be
a
festival,
type
atmosphere,
we'll
have
games
crafts.
We
have
toys
and
gifts
for
the
holiday
season
and
we
just
want
to
send
a
big
thank
you
to
our
academic
Services
team
for
organizing
this
event
and
our
Aya
partners
for
helping
us
with
this
event
as
well.
Yesterday,
we
started
already
seems
where
it's
Christmas,
but
we're
planning
for
summer
school.
Q
Q
We
have
our
professional
development
day
coming
up
on
Friday
January
27th,
more
Hands-On
sessions
will
be
offered
to
our
teachers,
focusing
in
core
areas:
reading
math
and
then
some
specialty
areas
like
PE
art,
music,
so
we're
looking
forward
to
a
great
day
for
that
I
just
want
to
Echo.
The
sentiments
had
the
opportunity
to
be
at
several
of
our
schools.
Q
Everybody
I
just
want
to
compliment
our
teachers
and
our
staffs.
Everybody
has
been
happy
our
our
students.
Everybody
is
just
doing
and
putting
forth
the
best
effort
that
they
have
I've
been
the
Mesa
Eagle
El
Mirage,
George,
wonderful,
to
see
our
students
at
the
parade
over
the
weekend,
I'm
just
so
proud
parents
were
proud,
it's
just
so
great
to
be
a
part
of
this
district
and
seeing
our
students
Excel
and
so
with
that
I'll
I'll.
Just
leave
this
and
I
just
want
to
take
this
opportunity
to
really
think
think.
Q
A
You
thank
thank
you.
Okay,
move.
Moving
on
to
13.01
governing
governing
board
members,
read
reports
and
now
announcements
does
any
trustee
want
to
start.
V
T
I'm
gonna
keep
my
comments.
Brief
I
will
say
that
I
have
the
opportunity
to
go
and
see
Cinderella
over
at
George,
and
it
was
beautiful.
It
was
so
it
had
a
Twist
on
it,
of
course,
for
Miss
Martin
and
she
did
a
fabulous
job.
The
children,
their
costumes,
that
they
made
were
beautiful.
I
enjoyed
spending
the
Saturday
over
there
with
them.
T
I
hope
that
everyone
has
a
wonderful
holiday
and
stay
safe
and
get
rest
I
wish
I
was
having
some
time
off.
Thank
you.
Dang.
B
I
Okay
good
evening,
I'm
gonna
keep
my
comments
short,
but
I
do
want
to
give
a
special
recognition
to
a
young
gentleman
that
I
saw
at
Adelanto
Elementary
School
last
Friday
he
is
Josiah
Scott.
He
is
part
of
Miss
zilman's
fifth
grade
class
and
I
wanted
to
recognize
this
young
man,
because
in
the
midst
of
everything,
knowing
that
he
does
have
a
influence
over
his
peers,
he
dressed
up
like
Santa
Claus
and
walked
into
their
dance
completely
happy
completely
supportive
of
his
peers
as
well.
I
H
Okay,
again,
I'll
keep
my
comments.
Short
I
would
just
like
to
again
thank
Mel
Melba
Davis
for
the
performance,
the
choir
performance,
the
band
performance
and
I
just
want
to
give
a
shout
out
that
on
January
5th
Melva
Davis
will
be
interviewed
by
California
schools
to
watch
and
that's
such
an
exciting
opportunity
for
that
school
and
congratulations.
Melva
Davis
on
that.
V
H
Our
grounds
crew
for
driving
us
doing
in
the
parade
on
Saturday
I
have
to
say
that
that
was
just
a
wonderful
day.
You
know
to
see
our
community
out
to
see
our
students
performing.
You
know
we
had
performance
from
all
over
the
high
desert
as
far
as
Barstow
Granite
Hills.
It
was
a
really
really
really
good
opportunity
for
a
community
to
come
out
and
have
fun.
We
had
fun.
E
AJ
H
On
that
float
and
I
can't
wait
to
do
more
in
our
community
to
see
our
boardroom
field
this
today
again,
I
said
it
warm.
My
heart
and
I
would
like
to
continuously
see
that
again.
I.
Also
thank
you
for
bringing
information
to
the
board
on
what
is
happening
and
what's
not
happening
in
our
district
and
I,
really
appreciate.
You
know
your
emails
and
you
know
your
comments.
I
know.
H
Sometimes
it
feels
like
your
voices
are
not
heard,
but
we
hear
you
and,
and
that's
one
way,
that
the
boy
Mr
Krause
first
I
have
to
give
a
shout
out
to
Mr
Krause.
He
informed
the
board.
He
sent
us
emails
text
messages
all
day,
informing
us
of
different
things
and
when
we
bring
things
to
his
attention,
he
addresses
them
and
I
have
to
say
I
appreciate
you.
Mr
crowds
I
appreciate
your
cabinet
because
you
know
it.
H
It's
not
intentionally
just
a
lot
of
work
to
do
and
again
teacher
staff,
administrators
parents,
I
I.
Thank
you.
You
know,
and
that's
from
the
bottom
of
my
heart
and
my.
H
Trustees
you
know,
I
enjoy
working
with
you,
trustee
Atkins
is
not
here,
but
you
know
I
really
appreciate
all
you
do
and
congratulations
our
new
president
trustee
love,
French
and
we'll
see
you
at
our
next
board
meeting
at.
AJ
T
H
Outgoing
president,
Christina,
you
did
an
amazing
job,
I
know
in
the
beginning.
You
were
really
afraid
to
do
this
and
you
did
a
phenomenal
job
this
year
and
I
really
I
really
appreciate
what
you've
brought
to
this
board
and
all
of
you
and
again
have
a
happy,
happy,
safe
holiday
season.
I
would
say
Christmas,
but
also
New,
Year
and
I
hope
that
and
I
pray
that
our
next
year
will
be
prosperous,
and
thank
you
for
sticking
around
and
I
know
it's
cold
outside,
so
keep
warm
and
have
a
happy
holiday.
Thank
you.
A
I'm
going
to
keep
this
really
short
first
thing:
yes,
Matt!
Thank
you!
Aya
for
deck
deck,
decorate
ratings
of
the
float,
I
love
to
go
to
the
parade.
You
see
the
kids,
you
know,
and
it
feels
great
and
Matt.
You
created
a
core
ma'am
memory.
We
had
the
best
laugh
ever
ever.
I
want
to
wish
ever
everyone,
a
very
Merry
Christmas,
be
safe
out.
There
enjoy
your
fam
families
and
what
a
bless
blessing
it
is
to
be
here
can
I
say
one
other.
H
Thing
Twisted,
yes,
I
would
like
to
thank
Mrs
lawhead
and
her
family.
She
brought
each
and
every
one
of
us.
Some
coffee
and
I've
been
smelling
this
coffee
since
I
said
it
this
day.
Is
this
coffee
and
thank
you
so
much?
It
smells
so
good
I
had
to
have
a
cup
of
coffee
when
I
went
up
to
close
section,
but
thank
you
so
much
I
appreciate
this.
A
Okay,
let's
go
on
because
it
is
now
10
08.
go
going
on
to
Fort
14.0
zero,
one
presentation
of
the
fifth
fiscal
year:
2022
2023.
First
interim
financial
report.
F
Yes
good
evening,
members
of
the
board
and
thank
you
for
your
patience.
I
will
be
brief
and
the
first
interim
report
this
evening
as
we
do
every
December
we
bring
before
the
board
how
we
do
in
our
district,
starting
from
July
1st,
going
all
the
way
to
October
31st
and
that's
what
we
call
the
first
interim
period.
Mr
Zach
klemish
was
going
to
be
with
us
this
evening,
but
unfortunately
jury,
duty,
summoned
him
and
so
I
did
not
want
him
to
have
to
stress
out
getting
over
here
from
jury
duty.
F
F
So
some
of
the
highlights
this
evening
we'll
talk
about
the
first
interim
current
budget
assumptions,
our
revenues,
expenditures,
unrestricted
restricted
funds,
our
multi-year
projection
and
then
some
next
steps
next
slide.
Please.
F
So
one
of
the
things
the
board
always
wants
to
see-
and
we
like
to
present-
is
that
we
have
a
positive
certification,
which
means
the
district
can
complete
their
expenditures
and
revenues
for
the
current
year
and
the
two
fiscal
out
years.
So
a
positive
certification
means
that
we
will
meet
our
obligations
and
we
are
always
excited
to
be
able
to
say
that
we
have
a
positive
certification.
You
can
see
our
revenues
there
we're
projecting
about
98
million
at
this
time
and
then
our
average
daily
attendance
is
at
86.4
percent.
F
It
has
dropped
in
the
month
of
December
due
to
I
believe
a
lot
of
sickness,
there's
a
lot
of
sickness
out
there
and
so
we're
seeing
a
drop
in
student
attendance
right
now
due
to
that.
But
we
will.
We
do
anticipate
it
going
back
up
above
90
we
had
it
at
92
94
in
the
beginning
of
the
year,
and
so
we're
actively
and
aggressively
working
with
our
students
and
families
to
ensure
that
they
come
to
school.
F
We
have
our
federal
revenues
about
26
million
and
there's
a
lot
of
new
restricted
funding
that
you'll
see.
In
a
moment.
The
dollar
amounts
that
we're
getting
from
restricted
funding,
Federal
revenues
and
state
revenues,
and
so
we're
recognizing
that
in
the
federal
revenues
and
then
unrestricted
anyway,
fund
balance
goes
from
17
million
to
20
1
million
due
to
some
increased
lcff
local
control
funding
formula
revenues.
F
So
the
next
slide,
if
you
will
so
there,
we
see
our
current
budget
assumptions,
and
so,
as
you,
as
you
see
there,
we
always
talk
about
cost
of
living
adjustment,
and
so
for
this
current
year
and
then
two
out
years,
you
can
see
the
percentages.
We
do
anticipate
changes
coming
in
January
when
the
governor
proposes
his
budget
for
next
year.
January
19th
is
when
the
governor
will
come
out,
we'll
actually
go
into
a
workshop
with
our
colleagues
from
adta
and
CSEA
down
in
Long,
Beach
and
I.
F
Think
some
members
of
the
board
also
join
us
down
there
to
get
an
update
on
what
the
governor
is
going
to
propose
for
the
out
years.
These
numbers
will
change,
but
currently
this
is
what
we're
looking
at.
We
see
the
percentage
for
stirs
and
purges.
We
always
do
how
much
we
contribute
to
those
for
the
retirement
funds.
We
have
our
Lottery
amounts
that
come
in
for
restricted
and
unrestricted
we're.
F
Looking
at
our
enrollment
right
now,
we
always
adjust
that
as
our
numbers
change
and
then
our
average
daily
attendance
rate
will
change
at
the
next
budget
session,
which
will
be
second
interim
presented
the
board
in
March
next
slide.
Here
we
see
our
revenues
and
expenditures,
so
you
can
see
here
looking
at
the
total
revenues,
160
million-
and
that
is
unusually
high
and
one
of
the
main
reasons
is
you
look
at
the
federal
revenues
there
of
26
million
and
state
revenues
of
34
million.
That
is
not
usual.
F
The
reason
that
is
is
we
are
receiving
an
inordinate
amount
of
restricted
funds
this
current
year,
and
so
that's
one
of
the
reasons,
and
so
you
might
recall,
we
received
sr3
funds.
The
district
was
just
awarded
about
4
million
in
Arts
and
Music
Grant
funds.
The
district
was
awarded
about
14
million
in
learning
recovery
funds.
So
a
lot
of
those
monies
that
we
anticipate
coming
in
contribute
to
the
overall
federal
and
state
revenue,
but
again
you'll,
see
in
a
moment
that
that
is
restricted
monies
for
restricted
uses.
F
But
we
want
I
want
to
point
that
out,
because
it
is
normally
not
that
high
for
our
district
to
have
total
revenues
of
160
million.
When
you
look
at
that,
and
you
look
at
historical
you'll,
be
like
wow
what
happened,
but
that's
where
we're
getting
a
lot
of
restricted
revenues
coming
in
on
the
expenditure
side,
you
see
there
as
we
get
revenues
in.
F
Next
slide,
please,
so
here
we
have
the
unrestricted
general
fund
balance
you,
you
may
recall:
I
talked
about
restricted
funds
and
unrestricted,
so
the
unrestricted
are
the
monies
that
are
unrestricted.
We
generally
use
them
for
our
operating
expenditures,
mainly
our
salaries
and
benefits,
and
then
our
books
and
supplies
and
our
contracted
services
in
the
5000
object
codes.
F
But
here
you
can
see
that
after
we
take
our
revenues
in
and
our
expenditures
for
this
current
year
and
then
our
excess
deficit,
which
we
have
a
surplus
this
current
year,
our
beginning
fund
balance
goes
from
17
million
to
21
million
and
then
the
multi-year
projection
you
can
see.
There
are
estimates
on
our
unrestricted
general
fund.
You
can
see
there
that
it
goes
up
again
as
we
move
across
the
to
the
right,
and
then
we
have
deficit
spending
because
we
are
spending
our
money
down.
F
One
of
the
things
that
you
can
have
for
deficit
spending
is,
is
that
you're
spending
money
that
you
recognized
in
one
year
in
another
year,
and
so
it
shows
up
as
deficit
spending.
It's
not
that
we
are
spending
more
than
we're
taking
in
and
that's
what
we're
doing
with
doctors,
wisen
and
her
team.
We're
spending
a
lot
of
the
money
that
we
have
that
we
have
to
spend,
so
it
does
show
a
deficit
there,
but
we
believe
when
the
governor
comes
out
in
January
with
his
budget
proposal
that
will
go
away.
F
Here
is
the
next
slide
somewhere
I
promise
it's
there
and
it
talks
about
the
unrestricted
ending
fund
balance
breakdown,
because
what
we
want
to
do
is
make
sure
that
the
board
and
the
community
know
what
is
the
makeup
of
our
ending
fund
balance.
What
is
it
that
makes
up
that
ending
fund
balance
of
21
million
that
we
have
in
the
current
year
and
then
fiscal
year,
the
next
year
and
the
year
after
that?
F
So
you
look
at
the
unassigned
at
the
very
bottom
and
after
we
we
have
to
put
away
about
310
000
for
non-spendables
we
have
a
one-time
assignments.
We
have
textbook
adoptions
coming
up,
Dr
Wise
and
our
team,
in
fact,
in
the
room
next
door
over
here,
you
might
recall
our
special
board
meeting
that
we
had
when
the
Publishers
came.
That's
about
3
million,
potentially
so
we're
looking
at
textbook
adoption.
We
have
to
put
money
away
for
that
electric
buses
and
lcap
carryover,
and
then
we
have
our
three
percent.
F
So
you
see
that
line
reserve
for
an
economic
uncertainties,
that's
a
three
percent
mandated
by
the
state,
and
then
we
have
a
projected
unassigned
at
the
very
bottom.
So
those
are
the
numbers
that
make
up
the
Top
Line,
projecting
ending
fund
balance
for
this
current
year
and
the
two
fiscal
years
going
out
now,
the
next
one
is
going
to
be
a
little
bit
different.
The
next
slide
is
talking
about
the
restricted
general
fund,
ending
fund
balance,
so
our
restricted
monies
are
categoricals
Title,
One
title
two
title:
three:
they
also
Encompass
those
grants.
F
I
was
talking
about
the
music
Grant
Arts
and
Music
Grant,
the
learning
recovery,
Grant,
the
Esser
funds,
and
so
you
can
see
here
our
revenues
as
they
go
are
unusually
high
this
year.
We
are
trying
to
spend
them
down
over
the
next
three
years,
and
then
we
have
a
beginning
fund
balance
and
ending
fund
balance.
You
can
see
there.
The
bulk
of
the
ending
fund
balance
overall
is
in
restricted
monies.
You
can
see
it
there,
35
million
this
year,
45
million
and
55
million,
because
we
are
expecting
more
funds.
F
The
one
thing
that
the
state
has
recognized
is
that
covet
didn't
was
not
our
friend
to
our
students
and
our
staff,
and
they
need
to
really
give
a
lot
more
money
to
school
districts.
To
help
offset
what
covet
did
as
far
as
the
learning
loss
for
our
students
and
as
far
as
the
supporting
our
staff
and
so
we're
going
to
be
getting
anticipating
a
lot
more
money
restricted
over
the
next
few
years
and
then
the
next
slide.
We're
back
great
is
the
multi-year
projection.
F
F
This
is
what
we
have
to
report
to
the
county
and
they
see
this
and
again,
it's
not
only
the
county
that
does
the
checks
and
bounces,
but
also
our
Auditors
every
year,
look
at
our
first
and
second
interim
and
our
budget
to
make
sure
that
our
numbers
are
correct
and
so
there's
a
lot
of
checks
and
balances.
Besides
our
internal
team,
that
we
knew
that
when
we
run
the
numbers,
it's
also
checked
out
by
the
county
and
our
Auditors,
and
so
the
last
slide
is
the
next
steps.
F
So
you
can
see
here
in
January,
we'll
all
be
going
to
the
Governor's
proposed
budget
for
next
year.
We
have
a
second
interim
report
coming
in
March.
F
Budget
development
is
really
already
starting,
but
that's
when
it
really
kicks
into
high
gear
and
then
the
update
on
the
governors
May
revise
depending
on
what
change
is
there
and
then
the
budget
adoption
for
2324
comes
before
the
board
in
June,
and
so
sorry,
I
zipped,
through
that
it's
late
I
just
want
to
make
sure
that
I
covered
a
lot
of
the
basic
points
in
our
first
gen
report.
F
But
the
overall
good
news
is
it's
a
positive
certification
and
we
are
excited
to
be
moving
forward
in
supporting
the
operations
of
the
district,
with
the
anticipated
revenues
that
we
have
coming
from
the
state
and
from
the
federal
government,
and
with
that
I'll
take
any
questions
the
board
may
have
at
this
time.
A
A
Tonight
is
just
a
weird
night:
okay,
okay,
