Community-Owned
energy
services
provide
clean
and
affordable
energy
in
a
fair
and
equitable
way.
People
can
invest
in
our
energy
cooperative,
earn
an
attractive
return
on
their
investment,
while
we
invest
their
savings
that
they
have
given
to
us
and
trust
to
develop
clean
energy
projects
in
a
community
owned
model
across
sussex
for
the
last
40
years.
Our
energy
has
come
from
big
corporations
who
generate
electricity
in
huge
polluting
power
stations
that
send
the
electricity
through
sometimes
hundreds
of
miles,
to
reach
our
homes
and
businesses.
A
This
means
we
are
dependent
on
the
infrastructural
investment
these
corporations
make,
regardless
of
the
energy
source
or
its
cost.
Since
the
industry
was
privatized
almost
40
years
ago,
most
of
the
energy
assets
are
not
british
owned,
meaning
we
rely
on
regulation
to
deliver
clean
and
affordable
energy.

A
Community
community
energy
is
growing
its
share
in
generating
the
nation's
power.
We
are
a
trusted
intermediary
between
consumers
and
both
the
government
and
energy
suppliers,
which
are
often
regarded
with
justifiable
suspicion,
as
the
energy
market
continues
to
evolve.
With
the
introduction
of
time-of-use
tariffs,
microgrids
and
peer-to-peer
trading,
it
is
important
that
you
have
a
say
in
how
your
community
is
transformed
and
you
have
a
transition
partner
that
you
can
trust.

Finally,
to
achieve
our
net
zero
targets,
we
all
must
play
a
role.
Collaboration,
cooperation
and
communication
are
the
ways
to
happen
to
make
it
happen.
Community
energy
is
an
important
part
of
our
energy
transition.
