The City of Albany Common Council celebrates African American / Black History Month with a special video featuring remarks by Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul, Congressman Paul D. Tonko, Assemblymember John McDonald, Assemblymember Patricia A. Fahy and Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan and Albany Housing Authority Executive Director Chiquita D’Arbeau. Featuring performances from Jordan Taylor Hill, Poetyc Visionz, and Prishel Encarnation from Giffen Memorial Elementary School!! The National Negro Anthem performed by Sidrah Stephens with Patricia Stephens-Burchette and Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area. The keynote speaker this year is Jennifer Richardson.
