Description
The Committee will reviewed and discussed Ordinance 37.102.19 that creates a process for proposing, approving and posting honorary street re-namings.
A
B
B
B
I'm,
going
to
this
quick
I
mean
the
ordinance
you
know.
The
current
process
is
a
little
bit
loose
and
so
and
the
intention
of
the
ordinance
is
to
establish
some
uniform
standards
that
can
be
followed
for
honorary
Street
namings.
It's
similar
to
what
a
lot
of
other
cities
have
done
in
terms
of
dealing
with
this
issue
to
put
in
place
kind
of
a
uniform
process,
so
I'm
going
to
just
turn
it
over
to
councilmember
Kimbrough
who's,
the
sponsor,
if
we
wanted
to
say
anything
or
whatever,
no.
C
C
B
C
B
C
B
Does
every
street
actually
right
now
under
the
current
process,
the
counter
I
mean
those
the
resolutions
that
we
adopt.
Don't
are
kind
of
established
council
intent
or
request
to
do
something.
It
doesn't
have
to
be
done
via
a
resolution.
Its
names
have
been
done
without
resolution,
but
ultimately
other
dgs
does
have
kind
of
a
very
basic
loose
application.
That
really
has
not
really
does
everything.
B
B
I
mean
this,
so
what's
this
quickly
look
at
this,
so
it's
established
the
intent.
Then
it
establishes
a
process
for
the
council
to
evaluate
and
dedications
so
that
in
subsection
B
the
criteria
has
some
basic
standards.
You
know
that
the
person
has
to
be
someone,
who's
made,
a
contribution,
significant,
etc.
The
dispersion
is
deceased,
of
the
name
can't
be
considered
derogatory
of
seen
or
blasphemous.
The
designation
is
on
that
right-of-way
in
the
vicinity,
where
you
know
that
person
we're
honoring
that
person.
Basically
it's
a
block.
B
Right,
yeah,
and
it
also
provides
that
each
council
member
can
propose
up
to
two
dedications
per
calendar
year.
I'm
not
sure
like
this
again.
This
this
Jared
I
think
drafted
is
based
on
some
other
ones,
so
I'm
not
sure
what
he
meant
so
I
accept
in
the
certain
circumstances,
where
the
naming
is
upon
the
request
of
the
mayor
and
then.
C
B
C
B
The
the
council,
in
effect,
would
consider
the
street
renaming
based
on
the
criteria
that
we
set
forth
by
resolution.
So
now
the
resolution
would
adopt
the
trigger.
The
resolution
would
have
to
be
acted
upon
within
60
days.
There's
a
application
procedure.
This
is
the
part
where
I
think
we
need
to
tighten
it
where
it
says
it
will
be
submitted
to
you
in
writing.
To
the
council
me
when
I
say
it's
submitted
to
the
city,
clerk
I
think
the.

A

I
have
one
on
Hamilton,
which
long
time
ago
was
AMA
for
therefore
anniversary
they
were
having
whatever
I
nose
noticed.
Recently,
the
one
on
Hamilton
and
lark
I've
been
replaced
and
the
AME
designation
was
taken
was
not
included,
but
down
on
the
other
end
of
it
is
the
old
sign.
Is
there
we're
just
leaving
a
colleague
who's.
B

C

D
I'd,
like
a
token
now,
I'm
serious
I,
don't
I
think
300
wait,
but
you
know
like
a
$20
or
something
it.

In
that
case,
if
we
were
put
a
new
sign
up,
the
old
one
would
come
down.
We
have
been
concentrating
better
part
of
this
year
on
the
barber
hill
West
Hill.
For
a
second
there,
the
whole
area
we've
been
changing
signs.
They
were
really
beat
up
pretty
bad.
So
when
you're
gonna
change,
the
signs
of
State.

G
You
know,
there's
been
a
flue
proliferation
of
signs
and
I
think
that
proliferation
of
signs
encourages
more
people
to
put
in
a
request
and
I
think
that
it
gets
to
be
very
awkward.
Even
though
we're
putting
in
the
criteria
in
here
it
gets
to
be
very
awkward
for
us
to
be
saying:
no,
you
don't
go
by
the
play.
You're
really,
you
know,
and
so
for
any
individual
council
member
to
say
no
I'm
not
going
to
sponsor
this
very
awkward
so
to
establish
other.
D
G
Have
headstones
I
mean,
and
frankly
women
you
know
like
we
just
did
it
like
a
park
been
like
a
rain
garden
bench,
dedication,
who's,
somebody
and
the
Neighborhood
Association.
You
know
paid
for
the
plaque
and
got
the
approval
and
I've
in
some
ways
I
felt
like
that
was
more
meaningful
and
appropriate
than
some
of
the
street
renaming
that
are
not
necessarily
men.
F
D
D
It'd,
be
nice
just
to
have
one
set
beam
to
do
this,
whether
it's
a
single
sign
or
double
I,
don't
know
if
we
can
do
I,
don't
know
I'm
just
trying
to
think
will
this
go
through
the
council.
I
mean
it'll
come
out
of
committee,
but
will
we
get
the
council
to
vote
for
it,
I
want
to
try
to
make
it
as
easy,
so
I'm
thinking
like?
Can
we
do
like
a
fee
like
$200?
You
know
we'll.
D
F
B
C
B
I,
don't
know
how
much
when
you
have
this
Newton's
process
an
application,
anybody
it's
been
an
applications.
That's
gonna
open
up
a
floodgate
of
applications
that
we're
going
to
come
into
the
City
Clerk's
office.
There's
only
gonna
be
a
certain
number
that
can
be
done
based
on
the
limitations
we
place
here.
So
if
we're
creating
more
work
for
the
city
clerk,
you
need
to,
you
know,
yeah
make
some
distinction,
I.
Think
$50.
