Description
The Committee met for the Albany Police Department budget presentation.
B
B
No
talking
about
the
the
lead
paint
there,
it's
becoming
it's
come
to
our
attention
from
the
lieutenant
down
and
booking
that
it
gets
a
hazard,
there's
shards
that
can
be
sure
to
be
used
you
as
a
weapon,
so
some
of
the
cells
were
taken
out
of
service.
So
far
you
know
we'd
like
to
have
it
chipped
away
and
professionally
repainted.
This
is
one
paint,
so
you
have
to
obviously-
and
you
can't
stand
it
down-
you
have
to
chip
it
away.
So
that's
why
it's
so
expensive,
mm-hmm.
C
So
just
I
guess
my
question
and
I
fully
agreed
that
more
needs
a
lot
of
work,
which
is
why
I
believe
there's
a
process
that's
going
through.
So
my
concern
is:
if
we're
going
to
spend
for
that,
we're
going
to
be
redoing,
that's
kind
of
they
could
hear
about
till
we
do
the
kitchen
and
you're
not
ever
going
down
some
fancy
new
title.
Then
you
rip
the
tile
out.
B
A
There's
there's
work
without
throughout
the
department
we
have
six
or
seven
buildings
and
every
you
know,
buildings
need
roof
repair.
You
know
the
carpet
in
165,
at
least
on
the
first
floor.
The
tiles
are
the
carpet.
Tile
is
peeling
up,
so
there's
a
tripping
hazard
I
mean
there's
variety
of
things
that
happen.
So
there's
a
need.
This
is
probably
not
enough,
but
it's
very
difficult
to
give
you
a
dollar
amount.
Until
this
is
this
is
done,
but
there
has
to
be
a
line
and
a
place
that
we
can.
We
will.
C
In
addition,
it's
a
cost
to,
but
it's
an
important
cause,
because
what
ends
up
happening
is
when
we
have
people
who
are
you
guys,
think
you're
good,
a
little
a
lot
of
things,
I'm
assuming
you're,
not
builders
or
engineers
or
Assessors,
who
don't
actually
know
what's
going
on
with
us,
and
they
they
do
feel
like
there's.
There
should
be
like
this
should
fall,
underneath
engineering
in
terms
of
actually
monitor
and
whatever
buildings
are
doing,
and
that
department
heads
trying
to
figure
out
of
whether
you
need
to
repaint
a
let
floor
or
not.
So
that's
an.
B
C
Use
it
is
like
because
it
hasn't
been
done
and
we've
got
I
don't
know,
but
it's
not
actually
humanly
possible
to
go
through
and
in
here
having
the
staff
that
we
have
diversity,
because
it's
never
been
done
so
so
we're.
We
are
bit
in
a
boat,
but
they
feel
it
and
come
up
with
situations
like
this
work
and
then
you're
just
guessing
in
dollar
amounts,
because
you
want
to
make
sure
something
happens
which
may.
A
Well,
we
have
I
mean
they,
we
do,
we
do
have
facilities
manager,
you
know
supervises
custodians
and
you
know
tries
to
keep.
You
know
the
upkeep
and
communicates
with
CGS,
but
you
know
it's
it's
trying
to
find.
You
know
the
overall
plan
for
the
department
and
then
also
some
of
those
projects
when
they
become
larger.
We
do
wouldn't
need
an
engineer
involved,
so
it.
But
then
it's
again
we
can't
prioritize
what
engineering
is
doing
and
we
don't
know
what
monies
they
have
available.
We
don't
you
know
those
are
not
under
our
realms.
C
A
E
E
A
A
E
E
E
D
D
C
D
D
So
you
know
it's
a
lot
easier
if
some
of
these
things
are
actually
put
in
an
operating
budget-
and
you
know
we
have,
you
know
contractual
services
and
you
know,
equipment
in
the
budget
that
you
know,
there's
been
some
decreases
in
that
you
know
equipment.
Well,
why?
Wouldn't,
maybe
you
know
carpeting
instead
of
equipment
being
considered
kind
of
well,
you
know
that's
part
of
the
improvements
that
we're
doing.
You
know
at
this
particular
point
in
time,
I'm.
D
We
also
need
to
hold
on
yeah
and
and
mr.
Ballard's
point
about
this
being
thirty
years.
That
is
much
more
for
your
typical
capital
improvements
to
a
building
that
would
involve
Windows,
and
yet
we
decided
right,
but
part
of
the
reason
why
we're,
then
you
know
we
have
a
bond
draft
in
that
manner
is
because
it's
being
treated
as
though
it's
typical
improvements
to
city
buildings,
as
opposed
to
some
stuff.
That
might
be
just
you
know,
maintenance.
You
know
routine
upgrades
kind
of
thing
that
belongs
in
the
budget
and
and
they're
meshing.
D
E
A
D
So
we
I
anticipate.
The
committee
is
having
its
first
more
global
discussions
about
the
budget
without
any
of
the
departments,
not
that
you
can't
attend,
but
without
Department
presentation,
but
justice
yeah.
Okay,
now
we've
had
the
presentations.
Is
there
more
information?
We
want
what
we
we
are.
We
looking
at
going
with
with
a
budget
that
will
take
place
on
October,
30th,
there's
our
first
meeting,
and
then
we
have
about
three
meetings.
After
that
we
really
need
to
be
finalizing
documents
by
about
November
8
on
this,
and
you
know
so.
If
somebody,
the.
