The Committee reviewed and discussed Resolution 72.102.19R that consent to an adjustment in salary for certain positions for the 2019 Budget (DGS).

item
on
the
agenda
and
that
is
a
resolution
of
the
Common
Council
consenting
to
adjustment
in
the
budget
for
certain
position
for
DPS.
That's
a
confidential
secretary
position
or
confidential
assistant
position.

committee
member

Carol
Anne
O'brien.
Also,

our
members
Kimbrough

love,
Joey,
Johnson,
Flynn
and
nany,
and
in
the
audience
we
have
Merciful
Franchini
and
supers,
oh

folks
there
was
some
thought
at
one
point
that
this
would
not
come
to
the
Finance
Committee,
because
often
salary
adjustments
don't
go
to
the
committee.

particular
change
is
for
the
confidential
assistant
that
already
the
change
in
salary
is
in
the
2020
budget.
However,
what
they
are
looking
for
and
why
this
is
before
us
right
now
is
people,
because
this
is
a
enter
year
into
a
year,
salary
adjustment
for
the
rest
of
the
year.

would
take
effect
today
that
we
need
to
amend
that
to
allow
this
person
to
take.

it

increase.

that

particular
department
has
a
lot
of
vacancies
in
it.
They
will
be
helping
with
civil
service.
They
will
help

helping
with
union
meetings
or
also
the
processing
of
worker
comp
claims,
the
paperwork
and
working
with
our
vendor
on
that.

getting
appropriate
information
regarding
that,
and

also
scheduling,
meetings
and
being
responsible
for
keeping
lists
of
meetings
and
then
some
miscellaneous
responsibilities
with
that
