initiatives.
C
Mr

high
school.
Mr

C
C
I'm
scared
to
leave
the
comforts
of
arundel
high
school,
my
friends,
teachers
in
the
fall,
my
parents
house,
I'm
going
to
miss
our
pep
rallies,
painting
my
face
for
football
games,
dressing
up
for
spirit
week
and
cheering
on
my
friends
at
their
games
and
performances.
I
know
none
of
us
could
have
planned
for
the
last
15
months.
However,
in
true
rental
spirit,
we
persevered
and
rose
to
the
challenges
of
virtual
learning,
taking
taking
them
in
stride.
All
of
our
hard
work
and
dedication
has
led
us
to
this
day.
C
These
challenges
faced
would
have
been
difficult
to
overcome
without
the
support
of
our
teachers,
other
school
staff,
parents
and
friends.
So,
thank
you.
We
appreciate
you
more
than
you'll
ever
know,
and
today
we
wouldn't
be
here
without
you
and
to
quote
miss
davenport
wildcats.
Do
something
you're
proud
of.

D
D
Some
of
you
I
have
known
for
many
years,
and
I
smile
with
each
memory
of
pool
parties,
backstage
shenanigans
and
fun,
fun,
hangouts
and
now
you're
all
grown
up
and
I'm
getting
tears
in
my
eyes.
I
want
to
welcome
family
and
friends
of
the
soon
to
be
graduates
and
our
distinguished
guests.
D
D
D
Every
single
diploma
was
hard
earned
through
years
of
coursework
early
morning,
alarms
late
nights
of
homework
and
countless
hours
of
studying,
I'm
guessing
some
more
than
others.
Many
of
you
did
so
much
more.
The
years
were
filled
with
rehearsals
and
practices
and
performances
on
the
stage
and
on
the
field.
D
D
Somehow
you
did
get
through
because
you
are
sitting
here
today.
I
have
a
feeling
that
you
did
not
get
here
alone.
Remember
the
people.
I
asked
you
to
look
at
a
few
minutes
ago,
your
family,
your
teachers,
miss
davenport
school
counselors,
vice
principals
and
your
friends
sitting
among
you,
someone
here
was
surely
the
reason
you
got
out
of
bed
some
days.
D
D
I
am
truly
sorry
for
what
this
pandemic
has
taken
from
your
lives.
Some
of
you
lost
loved
ones.
All
of
you
lost
time
in
the
classroom.
Some
final
performances,
in-person
events
and
ceremonies,
some
a
final
season
with
your
teammates,
a
traditional
prom,
but
let's
not
fail
to
recognize
what
you
gained.
D
D
D
D
D
E
E
E
So,
despite
all
odds,
we
made
it
yep
who
would
have
thought
we
got
our
surviving
a
pandemic
badge
before
our
diplomas.
This
strange
year
has
left
us
all
scattered
dealing
with
loss
and
constant
change.
Yet
in
hindsight,
I'm
glad
we've
all
been
given
a
new
lease
on
life.
We've
learned
how
much
we
take
for
granted
in
our
everyday
lives
to
think
some
of
us
had
begun
to
miss
the
classroom.
Chaos,
crowded,
hallways
and
asking
permission
to
use
bathroom
can't
relate.
E
The
challenges
that
come
with
senior
year
on
top
of
grasping
an
entirely
new
way
of
learning
was
overwhelming,
but
just
like
any
other
major
feat,
we
survived
I'd
like
to
extend
a
quick.
Thank
you.
On
behalf
of
the
class
of
2021
to
the
teachers,
parents
and
administrators
who
struggled
with
us
this
past
year
to
acclimate
to
our
new
normal,
your
hard
work
is
not
unnoticed,
and
we
all
appreciate
you
more
than
you
could
ever
know.
The
unwavering
support
and
positivity
did
not
cure
senioritis,
but
it
did
make
virtual
learning
lesson
possible.
E
So
even
over
google
meet
the
class
of
2021
has
managed
to
make
our
mark
from
our
transformative
community
service
work
to
the
great
bleacher
collapse
of
2019.
We
definitely
walked
these
halls
and
made
them
our
own.
I've
gone
to
school
with
some
of
you
for
about
13
years
now
and
it's
beginning
to
become
unfathomable
to
think
that
we
won't
be
waving
to
each
other
in
the
halls
next
year.
Soon
enough,
just
like
the
first
day
of
high
school,
today
too
will
become
a
distant
memory
where
we
look
back
and
smile
warmly.
E
A
E
E
E
And
on
the
topic
of
social
media,
I'd
like
to
share
a
cheesy
quote
that
I
found
on
pinterest
that
states
I'm
nothing
but
a
mosaic
of
the
people.
I've
met
and
the
things
they've
carried,
no
matter
how
seemingly
insignificant
an
interaction,
may
seem.
You
meet
people
and
you
take
a
part
of
them
with
you
forever.
Thank
you,
arundel
high
school
for
being
a
part
of
my
mosaic
and
I'm
honored
to
be
a
part
of
all
of
yours.
E
And
as
we
move
on
and
the
mosaic
that
encapsulates
our
being
grows,
we
must
remember
that
we
all
have
the
capacity
to
make
a
difference,
big
or
small,
every
single
day.
This
pervasive
fear
we
all
share
regarding
our
future
is
expected,
but
it
should
not
paralyze
us
our
diploma
and
accomplishments
show
us
how
prepared
we
are
to
move
on.
We've
discovered
our
passion
through
clubs,
sports,
the
arts
or
even
a
particularly
special
class.
With
that
one
teacher,
the
class
of
2021
has
spearheaded
campaigns
for
our
sister
school
in
kenya.
E
The
esau
program,
aacps
students
as
a
whole
and
more
we've
opened
up
discussions
about
social
injustice,
equity,
democracy,
human
rights,
climate
change
and
other
important
topics.
We
know
how
to
take
advantage
of
the
opportunities
we
have
been
given.
We've
learned
everything
we
could
from
arundel
high
and
now
that
our
time
here
is
done,
we
must
find
new
ways
to
grow
into
our
own.
E
We
are
not
the
same
people
who
walked
into
arundel
high
school,
a
mere
1
372
days
ago.
Thankfully,
in
those
short
four
years,
our
perspectives,
character
and
attitudes
have
all
changed
for
the
better.
For
the
past
13
years,
we
saw
graduation
as
the
light
at
the
end
of
the
tunnel
as
we
step
into
that
light
and
close
this
chapter,
we
hope
for
a
better
tomorrow.
E
We
graduate
with
the
whole
world
waiting
for
change
and
I'm
confident
we
will
be
the
ones
to
make
it
staring
out
into
this
crowd.
I'm
overwhelmed
with
a
sense
of
pride
to
graduate
with
such
a
diverse
aspirational,
resilient
and
attractive
group
of
people,
as
my
five
minutes
of
fame
come
to
an
end.
I'd
like
to
conclude
with
a
poignant
phrase
coined
by
our
very
own
principal
davenport
graduates
alumni
in
about
an
hour.
This
may
be
the
last
time
we
hear
this
to
let
it
sink
in
wildcats.
Do
something
you're,
proud
of
congratulations.
Everyone.
Thank
you.
F
F
I
have
some
business
to
take
care
of.
The
latin
honors
system
recognizes
exceptional
academic
achievement
by
graduating
students
and
is
delineated
into
three
levels
of
honors
laude
or
with
honors
is
for
all
the
students
who
have
received
a
3.4
or
higher
unweighted
gpa,
calculated
after
the
seventh
semester
in
high
school.
F

B
F
D
Thank
you,
miss
davenport
by
the
virtue
of
the
authority
vested
in
the
anne
arundel
county
board
of
education
under
the
laws
of
the
state
of
maryland.
I
do
now
award
diplomas
evidencing
the
satisfactory
completion
of
the
prescribed
course
of
studies
to
the
students
of
arundel
high
school,
who
have
been
recommended
for
graduation
by
the
faculty
of
this.

I
also
want
to
take
a
minute
to
acknowledge
the
hardest
working
faculty
and
staff
that
embrace
the
challenges
of
this
year,
with
creativity
and
tenacity
to
plan
engaging
lessons,
provide
over
100
club
opportunities
and
stay
connected
with
you
for
virtual
or
hybrid
learning,
and
remember
we
were
not
born
in
the
same
century
as
you
all
were.
So
technology
is
not
always
our
friends.
F
F
F
F
You
are
a
very
special
group
of
arundel
graduates
because
you
were
the
first
class
to
take
community
citizenship
even
before
its
name
changed
dr
mcmahon
did
that
to
gcc
and
became
a
graduation
requirement
throughout
the
county.
I
remember
the
testimony
that
ellie
anderson
and
john
caldwell
gave
the
board
about
their
valuable
experience.
F
May
you
have
the
confidence
they
displayed
and
the
respect
for
others
taught
in
that
class?
May
you
have
the
purpose
that
ryan
o'connor
displayed
when
she
brought
students
from
gambrel's,
crofton
and
odenton
to
kenya
for
an
early
morning.
Conversation
that
helped
us
understand
that
all
that
we
had
lost
and
had
to
do
without
over
the
past
year
was
still
more
than
some
people
ever
have.
Thank
you,
ryan.
