It
goes
without
saying
that
the
past
three
school
years
have
been
incredibly
challenging
for
all
of
us.
Together,
we
experienced
everything
from
virtual
learning
to
hybrid
learning
to
return
to
in
person
for
our
senior
year,
but
we
made
it
here
today
in
large
part,
thanks
to
the
unending
support
from
our
teachers,
administrators,
counselors
and
our
parents.

E
It
is
my
pleasure
to
stand
before
you
this
morning
and
welcome
you
to
our
in-person
savarna
park,
high
school
class
of
2022
commencement
class
of
2022,
I'm
very
proud
of
you,
and
I
continue
to
be
impressed
by
the
many
talented
and
high
achieving
students
at
savannah
park
high
school
for
the
past
four
years.
This
class
has
been
moving
in
the
same
direction
with
a
common
goal,
and
that
is
graduation
graduates
today
marks
a
significant
milestone
in
your
life.
It
also
marks
the
beginning
of
so
many
exciting
things
to
come
for
you
through
today's
accomplishment.
E
You
have
opened
many
doors
for
yourself
and
I
encourage
you
to
venture
through
those
doors
in
search
of
those
things
that
will
bring
you
the
most
satisfaction,
joy
and
happiness.
Life
is
about
choices
and
opportunities.
It's
okay!
Today,
if
you
are
unsure
of
what
you
will
do
tomorrow,
so
move
on
with
excitement
and
great
anticipation
of
your
next
steps,
as
you
leave
here
today
as
proud,
proud
graduates.

F
Good
morning,
congratulations
class
of
2022
the
board
of
education
of
anne
arundel
county
hereby
wishes
to
extend
congratulations
to
you,
your
loved
ones,
family
and
friends
who
guided
and
stood
by
you
all
along
the
way,
a
mostly
normal
year
for
the
first
time
in
years,
yay
and
finally,
graduation
ceremonies
at
live.
It
nearly
feels
like
the
before
times,
in-person
instruction,
seeing
classmates
participating
in
band
drama
sports
special
events
like
awards
nights
and
prom.
F
While
you
are
all
likely
still
recovering
from
what
we
all
went
through,
I
finally
feel
like
we
had
a
mostly
normal
school
year,
your
senior
year,
despite
all
the
hurdles
over
the
past
two
years,
you
rose
above
you
overcame
the
challenges
and
persevered
you
pushed
through
and
finished
strong.
I
applaud
your
resiliency
determination
and
strength.
F
You
inspire
me.
We
are
finally
at
the
finish
line
in
terms
of
your
time
with
anne
arundel
county
public
schools.
Today,
because
of
your
hard
work
and
determination,
you
become
high
school
graduates.
You
should
all
be
immensely
proud
of
this
accomplishment
from
here
on
out.
Life
will
be
what
you
make
it.
While
this
has
been
somewhat
true
throughout
your
high
school
career,
you
will
now
be
fully
in
charge
of
your
destiny,
whether
that's
attending
college
or
a
trade
school
entering
the
workforce
or
joining
the
military.
F
Your
entire
adult
life
is
now
in
front
of
you.
The
possibilities
are
endless,
so
I
urge
you
be
kind.
It
costs
you
nothing
to
be
kind,
but
kindness
can
mean
everything
to
someone
else
do
unto
all
others
as
you'd
have
all
others
do.
Unto
you
leaving
your
ego
at
the
door,
make
good
choices,
never
charge
what
you
can't
pay
off
that
month.
F
Rely
on
the
actions
of
others,
not
their
words.
There
is
a
difference
between
performative
support
and
systemic
proof,
speak
up
for
others.
Silence.
Solidarity,
isn't
solidarity
at
all.
Listen
to
those!
You
trust!
Don't
ever
try
to
be
anyone,
but
yourself
remember
that
you
can
become
anything
you
want
to
be.
You
are
always
enough.
F
Never
be
shy
about
asking
for
help
use
your
voice
when
you
are
the
one
at
the
table
with
the
least
privileged
speak
up
and
when
you
are
the
one
at
the
the
table
with
the
most
privilege.
Listen
more
advocate
for
what
you
believe
in
get
involved
with
your
community,
be
the
change.
You
seek,
follow
your
heart
and
always
reach
for
the
stars.
F
F
I
read
of
a
man
who
stood
to
speak
at
the
funeral
of
a
friend.
He
referred
to
the
dates
on
the
tombstone
from
the
beginning.
To
the
end,
he
noted
that
that
first
came
the
date
of
birth
and
spoke
the
following
date
with
tears,
but
he
said
what
mattered
most
of
all
was
the
dash
between
those
years,
for
that
dash
represents
all
the
time
that
they
spent
alive
on
earth
and
now
only
those
who
love
them
know
what
that
little
line
is
worth
for.
F
E
G
G
It
feels
like
every
piece
will
last
forever
until
you
suddenly
find
yourself
reaching
for
another.
To
me.
High
school
has
been
just
like
eating
a
piece
of
saltwater
taffy.
We
all
just
kept
chewing
away
whether
it
was
at
homework
worksheets
or
tests.
We
thought
we
would
chew
forever,
but
now
we're
here.
We
made
it
to
the
end,
we're
done
chewing
and
have
an
entire
summer
to
give
our
jaws
a
break
before
we
move
on
to
something
new.
G
One
of
the
most
interesting
things
about
saltwater
taffy
is
how
it's
made.
Despite
having
all
the
same
ingredients,
each
piece
is
unique
because
of
the
work
its
maker
has
put
into
it.
The
way
they've
shaped
it
into
the
piece
that
is
sitting
in
your
hand,
your
own
personal
taffy,
your
high
school
experience,
has
all
the
same
ingredients
as
everyone
else
sitting
here:
amazing
teachers,
hard-working
administrators
and
many
other
wonderful
staff
members.
G
Personally,
I
love
saltwater
taffy,
maybe
not
as
much
as
my
grandma,
but
I
do
like
it,
especially
if
we're
talking
about
my
metaphorical
saltwater,
taffy
of
school.
Plenty
of
us
do
so
now
that
our
long
two
is
over.
We
have
reached
for
more.
We've
chosen
a
variety
of
flavors
to
try
next,
but
no
matter
where
we
go.
We
began
with
a
piece
that
tasted
like
severna
park
and
we
will
always
carry
that
flavor
with
us.
G
G
E
As
part
of
the
latin
honors
system
for
recognition
and
graduation,
exceptional
academic
achievement
is
delineated
into
three
levels
of
honors.
The
first
laude
or
with
honors,
is
for
students
who
have
received
a
3.4
or
higher
unweighted
gpa
calculated
after
the
seventh
semester
in
high
school.
These
students
are
wearing
a
bronze
stole.
Will
all
our
laude
students?
Please
stand
so
we
may.
We
may
applaud
your
achievement.
