G
Good

and
vice
president
so
forth,
the
board
and
Ms
Jackson
I
am
Dr
Melanie
Parker,
coordinator
of
environmental
literacy
and
outdoor
education
and
I
have
the
honor
of
presenting
this
evening's
special
board
recognition.
So
before
I
go
any
further.
If
I
could
ask
the
members
of
the
board
in
Ms
Jackson
to
come
forward.
G
G
The
Jan
Holman
Environmental
Education
award
recognizes
an
individual
organization
that
has
made
significant
contributions
to
Environmental
Education
in
Anne.
Arundel
County,
through
educating
students
in
our
schools,
working
with
communities
or
building
the
capacity
of
educators
is
named
after
the
late
Jan
Holman,
an
environmental
activist
who
created
the
first
land
trust
in
Maryland
and
was
also
the
Catalyst
for
passing
the
Maryland
critical
area.
Act
of
1984.,
her
ability
to
support
Environmental
Education
in
every
form
and
every
opportunity
is
embodied
in
this
annual
recognition
of
those
who
have
made
a
difference
for
the
environment
established
in
1994.
G
This
award
has
recognized,
among
others,
13
Anne,
Arundel,
County,
Public,
School
teachers,
the
former
aacps
superintendent,
Kevin
Maxwell,
a
state
senator
and
Gerald
weingrad,
environmental,
Educators
and
activists
across
the
county,
and
many
more
this
year
we
had
the
pleasure
to
present
the
Jan
Holman
Environmental
Education
award
to
Brian
Gomes
education
coordinator
of
clearshark
H2O,
an
aacps
Alum
Brian,
attended
Benfield
elementary
schools,
Severna
Park
Middle,
School,
Severna,
Park,
High
School.
My
understanding
Brian
is
that
his
experience
at
Arlington,
our
own
Arlington
Echo
outdoor
education
center
as
a
child,
may
have
helped
shape
his
environmental
career.
G
Yeah
for
the
last
four
years,
Brian
has
been
the
education
coordinator
for
clearshark
H2O
and
a
Hanover
based
environmental
non-profit.
His
mission
is
to
provide
Hands-On
programs
that
enhance
students,
passion
and
understanding
of
Maryland's
waterways.
Prior
to
that
Brian
worked
at
the
oyster
recovery
partnership
where
he
established
the
show
recycling
Alliance,
no
matter
what
position
he
has
held.
Brian
has
positively
impacted
the
lives
of
our
students
through
Hands-On
experiences.
G
I
have
known
Brian
for
many
years,
and
his
passion
for
teaching
about
the
environment,
whether
it
is
oysters
or
natural
history
of
the
bay,
is
both
incredible
and
contagious.
He
has
instilled
the
Same
Love
of
the
outdoors
in
the
environment
to
our
students
that
others,
instilled
in
him
years
ago.
In
short,
he
is
create.
He
is
helping
to
create
a
better
future
as
he
comes
forward.
Please
join
me
in
congratulating
Brian,
not
just
for
winning
the
2022
Jan
Holman
Environmental
Education
award,
but
for
positively
impacting
our
students
every
day.

Since
our
last
report,
Crassus
held
two
Town
Hall
meetings,
one
hybrid
meeting
on
September
28th
and
one
virtual
meeting
on
October
12th.
We
were
thrilled
to
see
more
new
faces
in
our
meeting
during
the
meeting
we
addressed
student
concerns
and
discuss

The
first
episode
of
Teen
Talk
prepared
on
premiered
on
acbs
TV
and
YouTube
and
debuted
last
Wednesday
October
12th
at
9
00
pm.
This
was
an
amazing
first
episode
with
the
host
of
Teen
Talk
Cameron,
chair
and
special
guest
superintendent
Bedell.
In
this
video
we
learned
more
about
our
new
superintendent's
goals,
motivations
and
stories.
H
H
Our
high
school
voter
Drive
were
a
success.
We
had
225
high
school
students
registered
to
vote
in
the
fall
drive
and
over
100
students
took
applications
home
to
complete
a
very
special
thank
you
to
miss
Vera
harath
from
the
League
of
Women
Voters
and
Mr
Ralph
Thomas
from
the
NAACP
for
partnering
with
acps.
To
make
this
happen.
H
The
October
crafts
newsletter
is
now
available
on
our
website
and
posted
in
brightspace
courses.
Lastly,
we
would
like
to
highlight
events
taking
place
in
middle
and
high
school.
In
aacps
this
month,
many
schools
have
hosted
Spirit
weeks,
which
was
truly
fun.
Students
and
teachers
got
to
dress
up
for
certain
festive
days,
such
as
class
colors,
pink
out
in
support
of
Breast
Cancer,
Awareness
Month
Carrick
today
pajama
day
and
others.
Events
like
these
really
do
unify
a
school
and
showcase
school
pride
and
spirit.
H
C
D
C
Thank
you.
So
now
we
will
move
to
item
4.02,
CAC
report,
Miss
Howard,.
I
Good
evening
president
Tobin
vice
president
silkworth
and
fellow
board
members
and
Miss
Jackson
for
the
record.
My
name
is
Tanisha
Howard,
the
chair
of
the
citizen
advisory
committee,
otherwise
known
as
the
CAC
on
behalf
of
the
cat
body.
I
am
pleased
to
have
this
opportunity
to
share
and
update
the
board
on
our
recent
activities
as
a
reminder
for
the
public,
our
CA,
our
cat,
conducts
our
meetings
virtually
on
the
second
Monday
of
each
month
from
6
45
to
8
45..
I
I
I
I
I
Likewise,
we
remain
committed
to
our
continued
involvement
in
service
within
Anne
Arundel,
County
Public,
Schools
departmental
Community
committees,
with
nominations
made
for
the
calendar
committee,
District
assessments,
Health
Moi,
PTA,
the
recess
work
group,
CCAC,
Security,
Council
and
wellness
Council
for
the
wellness
Council,
as
well
as
the
equity
committee.
These
are
representative
of
our
Wellness
lens
and
from
the
Hayden
bias,
since
it
touches
their
committee
work
respectively.
I
Our
subcommittees
will
continually
report
routine
updates
on
the
work
as
it
is
developed
over
the
school
year
to
the
board
and,
on
behalf
of
the
CAC.
Thank
you
for
your
continued
support.
Continued
engagement
continued
Outreach,
so
we
can
be
most
impactful
every
year
continues
to
top
the
prior,
and
it's
continually
been
my
honor
and
privilege
to
lead
our
talented
and
motivated
professionals,
letting
their
passion
shine
in
the
CAC
mission.
I
C
E
Ms
Howard
is
great
to
see
you
again
I'm
excited
about
you
guys
getting
started
this
year,
but
I
am
intrigued
by
your
new
subcommittee
and
I
can't
wait
to
hear
what
what
that
will.
J
K
Thank
you,
president
copen
I.
It
was
also
the
highlight
of
my
day,
Tanisha
I
I,
can't
say
in
any
better
than
just
simply
to
say
you
are
amazing
and
awesome.
Aacps
is
so
blessed
to
have
you
and
your
motivated
and
so
greatly
talented,
professional
professional.
C
Okay,
so
we
will
move
to
item
4.03.
The
president's
report
I
will
Begin
by
noting
that
we
are
missing
two
members
of
our
team
this
evening.
Dr
Bedell
and
Ms
Howell
are
both
recovering
for
medical
procedures
and
not
are
not
able
to
be
with
us
for
this
meeting.
We
send
them
all
our
best
wishes
for
continued
full
and
speedy
recoveries.
C
And
Ms
money
working
her
usual
magic
behind
the
scenes
to
ensure
the
mating
runs
as
it
should.
Thank
you
both
so
I'll
try
to
be
brief,
but
it's
been
a
busy
couple
of
weeks.
Since
our
last
meeting,
a
number
of
us
were
able
to
attend
the
annual
conference
of
the
Maryland
Association
of
boards
of
Education,
known
as
Mabe
here
in
Annapolis,
from
October
6th
through
8th,
we
always
enjoy
hosting
our
colleagues
from
around
the
state
here
in
Anne,
Arundel,
County
and
participating
in
workshops
and
meetings
that
offer
important
updates
for
board
members.
C
C
I,
along
with
several
other
members,
also
attended
the
21st
century
networking
breakfast
on
on
October
11th
at
Maryland
Live.
We
are
so
grateful
for
the
large
and
enthusiastic
turnout
of
our
partners
in
the
business
and
non-profit
communities
who
work
closely
with
our
schools
to
support
our
students,
families
and
teachers.
It
was
a
wonderful
event,
an
opportunity
for
many
of
them
to
meet
Dr
Bedell
for
the
first
time,
and
special
thanks
are
due
to
Ms
McCurdy
and
her
staff
for
all
the
work
that
went
into
making
this
event
such
a
success.
So
thank
you.
C
I
was
also
privileged
to
attend
a
presentation
by
Dr
Pamela
Brown
on
October
14th
at
Maryland
Hall,
on
her
new
report
published
by
the
Community
Foundation
of
Anne
Arundel
County
poverty
amidst
plenty
number
seven
moving
forward
together.
This
is
the
report
I
urge
anyone
who
has
not
yet
had
a
chance
to
read
this
report
or
attend
any
of
these
sessions.
C
I
believe
there
are
a
couple
of
more
that
Dr
Brown
will
be
giving
at
different
places
around
the
county,
there's
just
a
wealth
of
information
in
this
report,
and
it
is
particularly
of
interest
to
anyone
who
has
an
interest
in
understanding
better
where
we
stand
as
a
county
and
particularly
in
supporting
our
children
and
families.
So
I
recommend
this
to
everyone.
I
believe
it's
available
for
download
on
the
community
foundation's
website
and
a
special
thank
you
as
always
to
Dr
Brown
for
the
incredible
work
she
does
later.
C
Last
week,
several
of
us
attended
the
cat
North
open
house,
which
was
amazing
I,
was
a
little
bitter
that
there
was
no
cheesecake,
but
the
Focaccia
almost
made
up
for
it.
The
Focaccia
was
really
really
good,
really
good,
but
it
wasn't
the
cheesecake
just
saying
yeah.
C
C
To
get
in
the
amazing
turnout,
the
programs
that
cat
North
does
the
employers
who
were
there
recruiting
our
students.
It
was
extraordinary,
absolutely
extraordinary
and
I
may
or
may
not
have
committed,
Dr
Bedell
to
a
Throwdown
of
cheesecake
and
carrot
cake
at
some
point,
but
that's
another
another
story.
So
so
congratulations
to
principal
Rose
and
all
the
staff
it's
extraordinary,
and
it
was
a
delight
to
be
there
and
to
see
everybody
out
there
in
person
this
year.
So
thank
you
for
that.
C
Finally,
yesterday,
Mr
silkworth
and
I
were
able
to
attend
the
celebration
of
the
halfway
mark
in
the
construction
of
the
Severn
community
center
that
is
currently
being
built
adjacent
to
Van,
bockland
Elementary
School
on
land.
This
board
gave
to
the
county
now
a
number
of
years
ago.
C
Yes,
the
time
cat
there's
some
students
from
Van
baklen
were
there
and
put
together
a
time
capsule
which
is
going
to
be
buried
and
there
for
folks
to
find
at
some
point
so
very,
very
exciting.
Finally,
I
would
like
to
yield
the
last
of
the
time
for
this
report
to
Mr
McGrath
for
an
exciting
update
on
a
recent
acps
graduate
Mr
McGrath.
J
Thank
you,
Dr
Tobin
I
just
wanted
to
quickly
update
the
aacps
community
about
one
of
the
Candace
CW
Antoine
military
service
award
recipients,
Chandler
Dearborn,
a
friend
of
mine
since
I,
moved
to
Anne
Arundel
County.
He
recently
informed
me
that
he
graduated
boot
camp
private
first
class
Dearborn
is
following
the
footsteps
of
his
older
brother,
who
served
as
a
medic
in
the
US
Army
Chandler
has
been
assigned
to
be
an
aviation
operations
specialist
and,
on
behalf
of
the
acps
family.
I
want
to
congratulate
Chandler
and
thank
him
for
his
service
to
our
country.
C
And
just
a
shout
out
to
this
year's
class
that
the
Antoine
award
will
at
some
point
soon
the
the
applications
will
be
opening
up.
It
is
one
of
the
only
programs
I'm
aware
of
that
has
a
an
award
for
those
students
who
are
who
commit
to
enlisting
in
our
services.
So
it's
a
fabulous
opportunity
that
Ms
shulheim
has
spearheaded
in
memory
of
our
late
colleague,
Miss
Antoine,
and
so
we're
delighted
to
hear
that
news.
Thank
you,
Mr
McGrath.
So
that
completes
my
rather
lengthy
report.
C
We've
just
got
to
stop
doing
all
this
stuff
so
or
not,
but
we're
not
so
item
4.04.
The
budget
committee
report
Ms
Shanghai.
D
Yes,
the
budget
committee
did
in
fact
meet
on
Monday
at
noon
this
last
this
past
Monday
at
noon,
and
we
spoke
at
Great
length
about
the
upcoming
fy24
board
budget
as
part
of
the
greater
fy24
operating
budget,
and
also
we
spoke
about
the
internal
Auditor's
budget
as
as
well
that
took
up
a
fair
amount
of
the
meeting.
D
There
will
likely
be
some
proposed
amendments
to
that
budget,
which
we
will
talk
further
about
during
a
impromptu,
well,
slightly
impromptu,
meeting
of
the
budget
committee
that
will
take
place
a
week
from
Friday
the
28th
of
October
1,
1
pm,
yes,
it'll,
be
on
teams
and,
like
every
other
budget
meeting,
it's
open
to
the
public
people
are
welcome
to
join
us
as.
D
We'll
announce
that,
through
the
appropriate
channels,
at
the
appropriate
time
for
the
link
and
all
the
rest.
K
D
The
information
so
yeah,
that's
that's,
kicks
off
budget
season
and
Earnest.
So
yeah,
that's
about
it
and
thank
you
for
the
opportunity
to
speak
great.
C
F
You
good
evening,
president
Tobin,
vice
president
silkworth
and
members
of
the
board
for
the
record.
I
am
Monique
Jackson,
Deputy
superintendent
for
student
and
school
support
and
this
evening
I'm
providing
the
superintendent's
report
on
behalf
of
Dr
Bedell.
Thank
you
all
so
much
for
the
opportunity
I
began
by
recognizing
that
today
is
Unity
day
and
as
we
continue
to
promote
Unity
within
our
school
system.
We
should
remember
that
it's
not
only
today
but
every
day
before
I
continue.
F
F
We
are
delighted
that
we
have
offered
service
to
36
routes
and
they
have
been
restored.
As
of
Monday
October.
The
17th
12
routes
create
full
service
for
six
schools,
six
routes,
or
am
only
to
middle
and
high
schools,
and
18
routes
are
PM
only
to
Elementary
and
high
schools.
24
total
schools
have
been
impacted.
F
Over
the
last
month,
I've
had
the
opportunity
to
engage
with
our
students,
our
staff
and
many
of
our
families.
I've
had
the
fortune
to
engage
in
instructional
walkthroughs,
with
many
of
our
principals
assistant
principals
and
other
instructional
leaders.
I
even
had
the
opportunity
to
work
last
Saturday
evening
at
South,
River
High
School,
to
see
all
of
the
wonderful
students
as
they
came
through
for
home,
the
homecoming
dance.
Thank
you
to
principal
Smith
and
her
team
for
welcoming
me
and
training
me
in
about
two
minutes.
F
Yesterday,
our
team
engaged
in
a
wonderful
destination
Wellness
meeting
at
Jones,
Elementary
School.
Thank
you
to
Mr
wissman
and
his
team
for
demonstrating
why
Jones
Elementary
is
truly
a
wellness
School
of
Distinction.
We
learned
about
the
great
interdisciplinary
opportunities,
not
only
at
Jones
but
at
many
of
our
schools
and
thank
you
to
Mrs
shulheim
for
being
such
a
great
sport.
As
you
can
see
here,
we
appreciate
the
camaraderie
and
the
commitment
to
Wellness
in
Anne
Arundel
County,
Public
Schools,
and
with
that
my
comments
and
my
report
is
concluded
and
I.
Thank
you.

Good
evening
for
the
records,
Annette
Ortiz
legislative
and
policy
Council
before
you
is
policy,
baf
ethics
and
conflict
of
interest,
you
may
recall
that
the
policy
was
on
second
reading
at
the
August
meeting
of
the
board
and
it
was
sent
back
to
the
policy
committee
for
additional
review
and
consideration
of
additional
amendments.
M
The
policy
committee
did
consider
additional
amendments,
and
now
it's
before
you
on
second
reading
with
those
amendments
Incorporated,
if
you
turn
I
highlighted
them
for
you
for
your
convenience,
but
essentially
these
additional
amendments
clarify
the
disclosure
process
of
a
complainant.
M
So
if
there
is
a
complaint
against
an
individual
now
we
are
clarifying
in
the
policy
that
the
person,
the
respondent
of
such
a
complaint,
will
have
access
to
that
information,
but
cannot
share
it
further
in
the
policy
in
accordance
with
changes
to
state
law,
there
is
non-retalatory
language
in
the
policy
that
was
previously
added
in
accordance
with
the
law,
so
that
was
really
the
primary
changes
as
a
result
of
the
additional
review
by
the
policy
committee.
M
M
Me
to
the
policy
after
the
30-day
public
comment
period
to
just
go
out
to
the
public
again
for
re
review
in
between
meetings.
So,
even
though
that
happened
in
the
policy
committee,
it
is
another
change,
so
I
would
recommend
that
I
just
post
it
online
for
an
additional
review
of
the
public
until
your
next
meeting
on
November
2nd
and
it
should
it
will
be
on
third
reading
at
that
time,
I'm
happy
to
answer
any
questions.
Thank
you.
C
Thank
you,
Ms
Ellis,.
E
Thank
you,
I
do
serve
on
the
policy
committee
and
I
just
want
to
say
how
much
I
appreciate
our
process.
I.
Think
I.
Think
since
we've
created
the
policy
on
policy
or
revised
it
in
the
last
couple
years.
It's
worked
really
well
for
us
overall,
and
this
is
how
it
should
be
done.
We
don't
we
don't
rush
to
get
these
things
done.
We
do
it
right.
The
first
time
and
I
just
want
want
to
acknowledge
that
I
appreciate
it.
N
Similar
I
I
just
appreciate
that
the
policy
committee
took
a
second
look
at
this
and
you
know
kind
of
further
fleshed
out.
This
is
a
very,
very
long
policy,
so
I'm
just
really
thankful
that
you
guys
made
sure
you
took
a
second
look.
So
thank
you.
M
So
this
is
policy
BBF
board
internal
auditor,
as
currently
is
it'll,
be
board
internal
audit
office.
So
this
policy
is
before
you
on
first
reading
it
was
last
updated
a
little
while
ago,
December,
10,
2010
and
so
Mr,
Fredericks
and
Mr,
Burns
and
I,
and
the
committee
worked
on
revising
the
existing
policy
to
clarify
the
purpose
and
responsibilities
of
the
internal
audit
office
and
the
role
of
the
director
of
internal
audit
and
also
to
clarify
the
policy
shall
be
implemented
in
accordance
with
the
internal
audit
Charter.
M
There
was
some
stylistic
revisions
and
things
of
that
nature
as
well.
It
will
go
on
a
30-day
public
comment
period
and
we
are
happy
to
answer
any
questions
you
may
have.
Thank
you
thank.
C
You
Ms
Shawn.
D
Hi
there
good
evening,
I
do
have
a
question.
I
was
looking
through
the
policy
and
under
Section
C
position.
Number
three
I
just
had
a
question
because
you
know,
and
for
a
lot
of
our
other
committees
like
they
make
recommendations
or
whatever
to
the
full
body,
but
they
don't
they're
not
charged
with
any
sort
of
assignment
or
directive
sort
of
authority
at
all.
It's
it's
all
recommendations
and
to
the
full
board
for
consideration.
But
so
in
item
number,
three
I
was
a
little
confused
about
the
the
the
phrasing
or
the
sentence.
D
Specific
assignments
will
be
made
by
the
board
through
the
president
or
internal
audit
committee,
why
it
says,
or
instead
of
in
consultation
with
or
some
some
language
like
that,
it's
just
curious
do.
O
It's
it's
just
the
wording,
I
I
think
we
at
least
from
for
my
period
of
time
here.
As
you
are
aware,
the
internal
audit
committee
was
recently
established
and
at
this
point,
we're
taking
Direction
I'm
taking
direction
from
either
the
board
president
or
the
the
audit
committee
either
either
way
it
comes
to
me.
I
I
try
to
implement
whatever
it
is
that
they
want
me
to
do.
I
really
don't
have
a
preference.
If
you'd
rather
have
it
worded
a
little
bit
differently.
I'm
perfectly
fine
with
that
I.
D
I
would
because
it
would
be,
it
would
be
similar
to
how
how
other
committees
are
structured
and
and
and
how
they
operate.
So
I
don't
have
a
motion
tonight,
but
I
I
certainly
will
next
time.
If,
unless
we
can
do
this
by
consensus,
I
think
it
should.
You
know,
especially
with
a
new
committee
and
not
a
standing
committee,
I
I,
think
it
should
say
in
consultation
with
instead
of
or
it's
my
personal
opinion.
C
Okay,
thank
you.
Ms
Ellis,.
E
Specific
assignments
will
be
made
by
the
board
like
take
the
rest
out.
The
board
is
assigning
right.
I
just
want
to
be
clear
on
the
the
legal
aspect
of
this
and
it's
being
communicated
to
the
auditor
through
these
other
through
these
channels,
and
is
that
legally
how
because
I
agree,
like
the
president
doesn't
direct
our
superintendent?
No
committee
directs
our
superintendent.
M
As
long
as
so
perhaps
maybe,
instead
of
specific
assignments
will
be
made,
will
be
communicated
by
the
board
through
the
president
or
the
internal
audit
committee,
because
that's
like
a
clear
communication
and
it's
clear
that
it's
on
behalf
of
the
full
board
and
to
both
of
your
points
that
is
correct.
Other
policies
are
written
in
consultation
with,
or
you
know
so,.
E
C
P
Sorry,
the
purpose
of
us
doing
this
this
way
is
so
that
we
will
first
get
the
reading
out.
Then
it's
gonna,
everybody
will
have
an
opportunity
to
provide
their
input
and
then
we'll
take
all
the
input
like
we've
been
doing
with
all
the
rest
of
the
policies
and
then
whatever
the
recommendations
are
then
we'll
send
the
feedback
back
out.
I
don't
want
to
try
to
solve
or
change
language
on
a
policy
on
the
fly
like
this.
So
please
add
whatever
input
that
you
need
into
the
policy
as
I
indicated.
P
Is
that
we're
going
to
put
it
out
through
the
boards?
All
the
board
members
will
do
exactly
what
we've
done
with
every
one
of
the
policies
and
then
it
will
go
to
the
affected
committee
with
all
of
those
changes
and
then
they'll
send
it
back
to
us.
It's
a
lot
cleaner.
We
don't
get
the
going
back
and
forth.
Sometimes
we
don't
always
get
it
right
and
we
don't
get
to
the
actual
person
that
it
needs
to,
and
then
we
send
it
back
and
we
rewrite
it
again.
P
C
Okay,
MS
corkadel.
Q
Thank
you,
Miss
dent
I
was
actually
about
right.
I
I
was
a
little
confused,
I
thought
we
were
on
the
first
reader,
but
since
it
was
brought
up
before
I
just
make
my
couple
comments.
I
would
just
like
to,
as
the
chair
respond
on
what
I
believe
the
language
intent
was,
which
is
actually
kind
of
similar.
In
the
same
with
most
of
our
committees,
our
committees
make
recommendations
to
the
board
and
those
recommendations
are
collected
through
the
president
and
the
committee,
just
like
with
policy
with
budget,
etc,
etc.
Q
So
I
would
just
suggest
that
it's
probably
a
a
word
crafting
and
con.
You
know
just
mirroring
it,
because
I
believe
that
was
sort
of
the
intent
of
the
committee
was
to
create
it
more
streamlined,
like
our
policies
and
like
our
budget,
so
I'm
sure
that
can
be
worked
through
I
want
to
first.
Thank
everyone,
because
this
was
this.
Rose
is
a
priority
and
I
I
want
to
thank
the
committee
for
stepping
up
and
jumping
on
in
because
this
can
get
very
complicated,
very
quickly.
I
do
have
already.
Q
Q
I
did
have
a
question,
however,
as
it
relates
to
the
charter
itself,
and
now
that
I'm,
seeing
the
language
I
am
a
little
confused
with
the
charter
and
I
only
say
that
from
the
policy
frame
point
and
so
I
guess
my
question
is:
do
we
have
the
charter
defined
or
how
would
we
be
defining
it,
because
it's
kind
of
a
unique
thing
and
I
was
just
wondering
like
legally
technically
how
or
where
that
would
be
Miss
Ortiz
like
where
would
it
be
like
a
something
sitting
separate
or
is
that
something
that
we
should
consider
addressing.
O
It
is
a
separate
document
that
currently
exists.
It's
typically
reviewed
normally
annual
annually
and
approved
by
the
superintendent
board.
President
and
I
also
sign
it
so
for,
for
example,
the
Gibson
group
recommended
that
we
include
in
that
Charter
the
implementation
of
a
five
or
seven
year
risk
assessment.
O
All
those
specific
details
are
in
that
document,
along
with
more
detail
about
our
responsibilities
and
our
our
reporting
and
our
our
duties
in
general.
So
it
is
an
established
document.
It's
available
on,
like
I,
said
it's
reviewed
periodically.
Q
So
I
guess
my
question
to
you
guys:
are
you
guys
comfortable
that
that,
because
I
always
look
for
things
in
our
policies
to
make
sure
that
if
a
person
stepped
in
and
read
it
that
they
would
have
an
understanding
and
comprehension,
so
I
guess
my
question
to
you
guys
that
I've
I've
never
heard
any
complaints.
I
just
was
wondering.
Is
that
something
that
you
think
would
be
beneficial
to
the
audit
Department
if
it
was?
Q
Q
Q
Little
Tech,
quiet,
cues
and
possible
suggested
evidence,
but
thank
you
guys
so
very
much
for
this
I
think
this
is
going
to
be
very
important
in
the
coming
years
ahead.
We
between
you
know,
there's
a
whole
host
of
new
things
coming
down
the
pike
at
the
federal
and
state
level
and
making
sure
that
we
maintain
the
Integrity
of
that
office
is
very
important.
So
I
want
to
thank
everyone
on
behalf
of
our
committee,
as
well
as
to
staff
and
everyone
else
for
for
getting
this
done.
Thank
you.
C
Thank
you
so
Mr
McGrath
did
you
put
your
light
off.
Okay,
I'm
trying
to
keep
up
here,
I
think
it
was
Miss,
Ellis
and
then
Michelle
said
Miss
Ellis.
E
Thank
you
after
I
applauded
this
board
and
everyone
involved
in
our
process.
I
I,
must
say:
I
I,
don't
think
anything.
E
Improper
was
done
or
suggested
here
this
evening,
I
had
asked
for
a
legal
interpretation
of
this
Clause
because
I
read
it
a
certain
way
and
I
wanted
to
make
sure
it
wasn't
intended
a
different
way.
E
M
I
may
yeah,
so
the
board
can
certainly
like
we
do
technical
amendments
sometimes,
and
you
know,
because
when
one
person
when
we're
reading
it,
we
know
what
the
intention
is
and
other
eyes
are
on
it
and
we
can
always
clarify
whatever
we
can
do
to
make
things
clear,
I'm,
always
a
big
fan
of.
So
if
this
is
a
you
know,
if
you
have
the
board,
has
a
technical,
Amendment,
there's
consensus,
you
want
to
have
an
actual
vote
on
it.
You
can
certainly
do
that
and
that
will
be
aligned
with
the
policy
setting
policy.
M
You
can
also
adopt
substantive
amendments
on
first
reading,
as
well.
I
think,
typically,
that
you
know
doesn't
happen,
but
I
agree
that
the
clarifying
language
would
be
technical
in
nature.
So,
however,
you
choose
to
move
forward.
You
certainly
can
do
that
this
evening
or
if
you
want
to
wait
until
second
reading,
that's
up
to
the
will
of
the
board.
C
Okay,
thank
you.
Ms
Shawn,.
D
Yeah
I
just
wanted
to
I
wanted
to
chime
in,
because
I
think
we're
we've
lost
our
way.
Just
a
little
bit.
I
want
to
get
us
back
on
our
on
our
way.
Once
things
pass
out
of
committee,
any
committee
could
be
policy
can
make
it
be
budget
committee.
It
becomes
the
the
work
and
the
and
of
the
whole
board
and
there's
nothing
in
our
policy
of
setting
policy
that
precludes
any
member
for
making
a
technical,
edit
or
a
substantive
Amendment
on
first
second
and
or
third
reader.
D
It
doesn't
go
back
to
policy
committee
unless
we,
as
a
body
decide
it
does
so.
I
just
wanted
to
be
clear
on
all
of
those
things,
because
I
don't
want
I,
don't
want
what
what
a
couple
of
recent
exceptions
to
become
the
role.
It
is
not
our
policy
on
on
setting
policy
states
that
and
so
yeah
when,
at
the
appropriate
time,
I,
would
love
to
see
I
liked
your
your
suggestion,
I
I,
think
it
was
and
communicated
after
the
word
made.
M
After
board,
so
specific
assignments
will
be
made
by.
M
D
The
project
I
would
love
to
see
that
discussed
and
handled
now,
I
mean.
Why
are
we,
why
that's
not
that's
not
getting
trip
and
fall
over
ourselves
over.
D
All
right
so
I'm
gonna
move
that
we
add
the
words
and
communicated
after
the
word
board
on
on
section
c
number:
three,
the
last
sentence.
So
then
the
sentence
will
read:
specific
assignments
will
be
made
by
the
board,
which
is
consistent
with
the
rest
of
our
committees
and
communicated,
which
is
also
consistent
through
the
president
or
internal
audit
committee.
D
E
I
I
concur
with
Miss
Ortiz's
opinion
that
this
is
a
technical,
edit,
I
hope
for
it
to
be
treated.
That
way,
this
in
no
way
changes,
I,
believe
the
meaning
or
intent
of
the
clause
and
I'm
I
am
satisfied
with
that
language.
E
B
M
So
I
will
make
that
revision
and
when
we
post
it
online
for
public
comment,
it
will
include
that
revision.
Thank.
F
F
E
F
F
C
For
repeating
okay,
saying
no
lights,
Miss
money,
Miss
Corker.
K
F
D
I
just
wanted
to
thank
Mr,
stansky
and
Miss
Camilla
for
giving
us
a
heads
up
about
this
during
our
budget
committee.
Meeting
I
failed
to
mention
that
earlier,
so
we
got
a
little
preview.
Thank
you.
