This
powerful
tool
is
used
by
all
secondary
administrators,
counselors
and
families
to
help
determine
courses
that
must
be
taken
to
satisfy
graduation
requirements
to
ensure
that
all
students
who
are
scheduled
to
graduate
meet
the
requirements
for
graduation
diane
completes
an
audit
for
every
senior
in
our
county
three
times
each
year,
including
me.
That's
over
5000
students.
E
E
Her
work
is
essential
to
the
success
of
aacps
and
she
does
everything
in
her
power
to
ensure
that
things
run
smoothly
for
the
schools,
staff
and
students.
Colleagues
described
her
performance
as
remarkable
to
see
the
care,
concern
and
devotion
that
she
has
given
to
her
job
in
such
a
selfless
manner.

Over
the
last
six
years,
annapolis
elementary
school's
pre-kindergarten
program
has
thrived
due
in
part
to
the
dedication
of
one
of
their
teaching
assistants.
Ms
karen
strandquist,
ms
strandquist,
has
exceptional
knowledge
in
the
area
of
early
child
development.
She
responds
to
children
with
encouragement
and
in
the
most
developmentally
appropriate
ways.
D
She
brings
light
to
the
work
environment.
Her
kindness,
dependability
and
knowledge
has
helped
fellow
staff,
members
and
students,
especially
during
hybrid
learning.
Last
year,
karen's
previous
background
teaching
early
childhood
students
allows
her
to
understand
how
the
world
is
seen
through
young
children's
eyes.
D
L
You
do
you
want
to
say
anything
before.
No
thank
you.
M
G
Thank
you.
Volunteers
are
often
referred
to
as
the
backbone
of
our
school
communities.
This
is
perhaps
the
best
description
for
the
volunteers
here
in
anne
arundel
county.
They
provide
vital
support
and
they
perform
diverse
and
critical
functions
which
help
our
students
fulfill
their
maximum
potential.
So
they
can
thrive
not
only
in
the
classroom
but
in
life.
G
Volunteers
throughout
aacps
are
nominated
each
month
and
one
outstanding
volunteer
is
selected
to
be
recognized.
The
time
of
year
has
come
for
an
even
higher
honor.
Today
we
acknowledge
the
exceptional
and
truly
herculean
contribution
of
one
volunteer,
as
our
aacps
volunteer
of
the
year
dedicated
truly
one
of
a
kind.
The
epitome
of
extraordinary.
G
G
Ms
wangdahl
has
performed
hundreds
of
hours
of
volunteer
service
at
all
school
levels
and
her
impact
on
the
students
and
families
of
the
chesapeake
cluster
is
vast,
bodkin
elementary
parent
and
pta
member
jenny
bull
affectionately
shared.
I
have
been
amazed
at
the
many
hats,
amy
wears
and
she
wears
them
so
well.
G
Any
one
of
those
hats
would
be
too
much
for
most
people,
yet
she
takes
on
more
and
more
because
she
doesn't
want
the
kids
to
miss
out
on
a
single
thing.
She
is
deserving
of
the
highest
honor.
A
volunteer
can
receive
according
to
chesapeake
bay,
middle
school
assistant,
principal
zachary
jones,
ms
wangdahl,
and
her
family
can
be
counted
on
it
owen
in
every
way
imaginable.
G
She
is
dependable
in
every
sense
of
the
word.
Miss
wang
spends
countless
hours
at
the
school
and
through
her
outstanding
performance,
she
has
inspired
many
families
at
chesapeake
bay,
middle
chesapeake,
high
school
and
bodkin
elementary
to
get
more
involved.
She
is
a
vital
asset
to
our
entire
chesapeake
cluster
family.
G
Ms
wengdahl
was
recognized
as
volunteer
of
the
month
in
october,
and
it
is
obvious
that
her
commitment
to
the
chesapeake
cluster
goes
above
and
beyond.
She
provides
crucial
and
profound
support,
enhancing
family
engagement
in
the
school
community
and
benefiting
our
students
in
life-changing
and
long-lasting
ways.
G

I
I
Mr
dunn,
if
it
weren't
for
the
administration
and
the
front
office
staff,
everybody
in
the
chesapeake
cluster
is
amazing.
That's
why
we
do
what
we
do
is
for
them.
That's
awesome!
Thank
you.
So
much.

O
Greetings
board
president
dr
tobin,
anne
arundel,
county
public
school
board,
members,
superintendent,
dr
arlatta
and
esteemed
guests.
My
name
is
glenda
washington.
I
am
the
director
of
communications
for
chesapeake
lighthouse
foundation,
the
largest
charter
school
operator
in
maryland.
I
am
here
today
for
two
reasons.
O
Firstly,
thank
you
for
allowing
chesapeake
lighthouse
foundation
the
opportunity
to
resubmit
our
application.
We
really
appreciated
that.
Secondly,
we
are
petitioning
the
board
to
vote
in
favor
of
the
application
for
the
new
chesapeake
lighthouse.
Excuse
me
for
the
new
chesapeake
science
point
elementary
public
charter
school.
O
If
this
application
is
granted,
the
partnership
between
anne
arundel,
county
public
schools
and
chesapeake
lighthouse
foundation
will
be
strengthened.
As
together
we
provide
anne
arundel
county
students
and
families,
another
educational
choice
among
the
very
great
educational
opportunities
they
already
have.
Thank
you
so
much
thank.
K
I
always
have
to
bring
it
down
a
little
short
people
problems
hi
board.
My
name
is
ashish
vidalia,
I'm
the
stem
coordinator
at
chesapeake,
lighthouse
foundation
and
again
on
par
here,
to
speak
about
chesapeake
science.
Point
petition
so
just
want
to
talk
about
hard
work
right.
So
hard
work
is
hard.
I
mean
it's.
Why
it's
the
first
word
of
the
phrase
right,
but
why
do
people
do
hard
work?
It
takes
a
toll
on
your
mental
health,
takes
a
toll
on
your
family
life
and
your
work-life
balance.
K
If
you
have
one
of
those,
don't
know
what
that
is,
but
why
do
people
do
hard
work
well
for
some?
It's
because
they
want
a
good
paycheck
for
some
it's
because
they
want
to
have
some
level
of
fulfillment
in
life,
but
I
think
the
best
reason
to
do
hard
work
is
because
it's
for
a
higher
purpose
and
there's
no
better
higher
purpose
than
the
future
generations
right.
So
I'd
like
to
take
a
second
to
thank
everybody
that
put
together
an
amazing
petition
round.
K
Two
took
a
lot
of
hard
work
in
a
short
turnaround,
but
I
think
we
did
a
great
job
of
putting
together
something
that
everybody
is
proud
of
right,
and
I
also
like
to
thank
the
superintendent's
team
for
taking
the
hard
work
to
review
the
giant
petition
and
the
board
members
for
taking
a
review
of
the
review
and
of
the
actual
petition.
So
in
light
of
everything
else,
I'm
hoping
that
if
everything
is
favorable,
we
can
celebrate
two
csp
events
today,
a
graduation
and
the
new
school.
Thank
you.
D
That
concludes
public
comment.
For
today
I
will
move
now
to
item
4.01
president's
report.
I
have
only
one
thing
I'd
like
to
mention,
which
is
I
had
yet
another
opportunity
to
ex
to
attend
a
spectacular,
unified
event,
unified
dance
event
on
may
20th,
and
my
colleagues
mr
silkworth
and
miss
schallheim
were
also
in
attendance.
D
I'd
just
like
to
give
a
shout
out
one
more
time
to
ms
walsh
and
her
incredible
team,
who
put
together
an
extraordinary,
delightful,
wonderful
event
to
old
mill
for
hosting,
but
also,
I
would
just
say
how
wonderful
it
was
to
be
back
in
person,
see
how
much
the
students
loved
being
together,
and
I
would
also
be
remiss
if
I
didn't
give
a
special
shout
out
to
the
annapolis
high
unified
dance
team
that
just
did
a
terrific
job,
along
with
the
others.
So
thank
you
to
everyone
and
I
look
forward
to
joining
you
again
next
year.
P
Thank
you,
dr
tobin.
An
update
for
more
information
coming
for
the
public,
the
the
the
district
specific
videos
that
have
been
created.
Our
production
team
under
mr
mosher's
leadership
have
been
working
very
hard
to
get
those
prepared
for
the
public
and
they
should
be
released
on
our
website
no
later
than
friday.
P
There
will
also
be
a
live
q,
a
link
for
the
public
to
be
able
to
submit
questions
and
will
receive
a
response
from
aacps
staff
and
on
june
21st
there
will
be
an
a
it's
a
daycare
event
at
old
mill
high
school.
I
believe
the
time
is
seven
to
eight
thirty
pm,
and
this
is
an
opportunity
for
families
in
in
need
of
daycare
outside
of
school
hours
to
to
come
and
meet
area
daycare
providers,
and
so
hopefully
this
will
provide
some
assistance
for
families
with
that
need.
P
In
addition,
dr
tobin,
mr
silkworth
and
I
had
the
opportunity
to
meet
yesterday
with
the
county
executive
as
well
as
representation
from
county
agencies
to
work
through
some
of
the
challenges
that
we're
still
still
working
on
and
the
work
continues.
So
please
check
out
you.
There
will
be
a
press
release,
you'll
you'll.
You
will
know
when
that
those
updates
are
on
our
website,
and
so
please
access
that
as
soon
as
as
that
comes
out
in
the
next
couple
days.
Thanks.
D
Thank
you
miss
ellis
and
thank
you
again
to
mr
mosher
and
the
staff
who
have
been
working
exceedingly
hard
on
getting
those
videos
together.
I
think
they
will
provide
excellent
information
item
4.03
superintendent
search
committee
report.
Ms
frank.
G
G
G
G
G
I
started
this
endeavor
by
reaching
out
to
previous
board
members
who
completed
the
last
search,
and
I
am
grateful
for
their
guidance
and
the
time
they
took
to
outline
the
process.
One
thing
they
all
stated
was
that
this
was
the
most
important
decision
that
we
as
a
board,
would
make
during
our
term.
G
In
that
light,
I
want
to
assure
the
public
that
finding
consensus
when
this
decision
was
extremely
important
as
we
represent
our
districts
and
the
student
body,
we
were
committed
to
getting
this
right
and
we
are
very
confident
moving
forward
on
behalf
of
the
committee
and
and
likely
also
the
whole
board.
I
want
to
give
a
special
thank
you
to
diane
howell,
our
executive
assistant,
for
the
tremendous
effort
that
she
has
given
to
facilitate
the
search.
G
D
Thank
you
very
much
miss
frank
and
thank
you
for
your
work
and
for
the
committee's
work
on
this
item.
4.04
policy
committee
report,
ms
dent,
is
not
with
us
and
I
are
you
able
to
deliver
the
report.
Thank
you,
ms
ellis.
P
Thank
you
again,
dr
tobin.
So
the
policy
committee
met
yesterday
at
three
o'clock
and
I'm
sorry
I'm
just
pulling
up
the
documentation
from
that
meeting.
So
I
get
the
names
of
the
policies
right,
but
the
policy
committee
reviewed
two
policies.
Policy
ae
was
brought
back
to
the
committee
after
we
had
previous
discussion
and
some
revisions,
so
it
was
brought
back
to
the
committee
yesterday
and
the
committee
did
vote
to
move
that
policy
forward
to
the
board.
P
So
we
should
be
seeing
that
at
our
next
meeting
I
believe
and
then
policy,
baf
ethics
and
conflict
of
interest
was
also
taken
up
by
the
policy
committee
yesterday
in
order
to
align
this
policy
with
some
new
language
in
state
law
and
then
the
regulation
for
policy
j
t
registered
student
sex
offenders,
entry
onto
school
property.
This
is
a
policy
that
the
board
is
currently
engaged
in
passing,
and
so
this
is
just
a
regulation
that
will
go
along
with
that.
So
the
policy,
the
committee
had
an
opportunity
to
review
that,
and
that
concludes
yesterday's
meeting.
P
Q
Q
Our
committee
would
like
to
recognize
the
leadership
of
the
department
of
special
education
for
their
efforts
over
the
past
two
years,
navigating
the
impact
of
the
pandemic.
We
would
also
like
to
extend
our
gratitude
and
appreciation
to
school
psychologists,
special
educators,
related
service
providers
and
paraprofessional
staff,
who
have
endured
ongoing,
challenging
circumstances
and
staffing
shortages.
Q
Lastly,
we
want
to
acknowledge
all
of
the
families
of
the
anne
arundel
community
who
have
engaged
in
their
meetings
and
presentations.
This
year,
the
ccac
committee
continues
to
use
the
virtual
platform
to
conduct
general
meetings
and
provide
presentation.
The
change
in
platform
provides
access
to
the
community
at
large
and
has
increased
our
average
monthly
participation.
Q
The
ccac
general
meetings
continue
to
be
an
opportunity
to
provide
direct
access
to
a
live
open
forum
with
the
co-directors
of
special
education.
To
make
inquiries,
seek
clarification
and
ask
questions,
we
plan
to
continue
a
virtual
option
for
general
meetings
going
forward
and
plan
for
in-person
events
as
well.
Q
We
were
not
able
to
host
our
annual
special
education
resource
fair
again
this
year,
however,
we
are
providing
a
resource
flyer
to
our
committee
participants
to
highlight
local
resources.
We
were
able
to
host
several
virtual
presentations
with
guest
speakers.
These
presentations
covered
a
wide
variety
of
topics,
including
assistive
technology
reading
and
math
instruction,
mental
health,
as
well
as
our
annual
conversation
with
the
co-directors.
Q
Q
Q
A
few
weeks
ago,
I
attended
the
joint
meeting
of
the
local
district
seacocks
and
the
state-level
csac
meeting
on
may
18th
that
included
a
presentation
by
assistant,
state
superintendent,
marcella
frankowski.
It
was
a
great
opportunity
to
learn
how
other
district
committees
are
supporting
the
community
and
the
school
systems
they
serve.
Q
We
would
like
to
share
that
since
march
2020,
everyone
in
the
department
of
special
education
has
experienced
the
most
challenging
period
of
their
careers.
Collectively
they
have
experienced
heightened
levels
of
stress
and
anxiety,
resulting
in
grief
and
burnout.
Then
pandemic
has
exacerbated
challenges.
They
have
been
facing
for
a
number
of
years:
increased
caseload
sizes,
workload
and
staffing
shortages,
to
name
a
few.
Q
Q
She
has
been
a
leader
in
various
capacities
throughout
her
career
and
most
notably
as
the
director
and
co-director
of
special
education
for
andorrana
county.
She
retires
from
her
position,
leaving
a
legacy
of
care
and
compassion
for
all
who
choose
this
work.
Thank
you.
Miss
pedrick
for
your
service
to
our
community.

Good

vice

board
members
for
the
record.
My
name
is
nicole

and
I
serve
as
your
director
of
curriculum
and
assessment
for
your
consideration
today
are
13,
different
and
exciting
new

offerings
in
the
areas
of
health,
pe
dance,
music
and
cte.
Thank
you.
F
You
know
I
love
this
so
much
and
delighted
always
to
see
new
and
fabulous
courses.
I
do
have
a
couple
questions
so
and
hopefully
just
in
the
suggestion
that
in
future-
maybe
we
add
this
to
the
sheets
that
you
all
have
evolved
over
time,
because
it's
just
so
helpful
for
me
as
a
board
member.
So,
firstly,
where
will
each
of
these
new
courses
be
available
next
year,
starting
if
we
could
just
run
down
all
of
them?
For
me

We
plan
to
offer
it
at
all
of
the
high
schools
in
the
23-24

year.
We
do
anticipate
that
we're
going
to
have
at
least
a
few
high
schools
that
have
sufficient
interest
in
it
and
have
enough
students
that
have
met
the
prerequisites
that
it
will
run
in
at
least
a
few
of
our
high
schools,
arundel
high
school,
probably
being
the
first
and
foremost
one
only
because
that
is
where
the
proposal
for
this
course
came
out
of.
F
T
So
that
that
course
is
the
first
course
in
our
new
proposed
teacher
academy
program.
We
anticipate
that
starting
at
glen
bernie
high
school
in
the
23-24
school
year.
F
All
right
and
then
the
general
aviation
one,
that's
a
cat
program
right.
Yes,.
F
Okay,
a
little
suggestion.
Hopefully
you
know
there
are
some
schools
that
already
have
this.
You
know
as
a
as
a
major
component
of
their
school,
offering.
I
ask
that
we
go
outside
of
that,
if
possible,
because
there's
other
schools
there's
other.
You
know.
F
Kids,
who
would
like
to
avail
themselves
of
those
great
opportunities,
okay-
and
I
think
that's
wait-
is
that
all
of
them-
security,
b
data
science,
a
okay.
My
second
question
considered
two,
the
first
one
was:
where
are
they
going
to
be
available?
The
second
one
is:
why
is
the
aviation
course?
I
think
I
know
the
answer
to
this,
but
just
help
me
understand
three
credits
as
a
year-long
course.
While
there
was
another
year-long
course
in
this
mix,
that
was
one
credit.
Is
that
because
it's
it
involves
lots
of
different
components:
science,
math
and
the
like?
F
T
That
would
be
a
great
guess,
actually,
the
at
both
cat,
north
and
cat
south,
because
the
students
spend
a
significant
more
time
in
their
course
period
is
more
based
off
of
the
amount
of
time
in
a
class.
F
P
Thank
you.
I
just
have
to
give
a
shout
out
for
some
of
you.
Oh
you
when
I,
your
mic
went
off,
it
was
on
and
off.
Okay.
First
of
all,
hi
miss
walsh.
You
know
how
excited
I
am
to
expand
the
the
unified
dance,
but
also
unified
pe
to
our
middle
schools.
P
It's
been
wonderful
in
our
high
schools,
hello,
I
believe
we
might
have
had
dinner
together
at
the
teacher,
so
I
have
a
student
first,
a
high
school
student
who
is
very
interested
in
music
production,
so
I
sincerely
hope
annapolis
high
school
is
one
of
those
schools
that
that
will
be
offered
at,
but
in
particular,
so
our
magnet
students
are
are
required
to
carry
a
full
schedule,
even
if
there
aren't
course
offerings
to
to
contribute
to
their
specialties.
P
So
courses
like
this
are
something
are
truly
a
specialty
that
students
would
not
traditionally
have
had
an
opportunity
to
to
access.
So
I
am
all
in
on
that
one.
Thank
you
so
much
for
bringing
it
to
us
and
the
cyber
security.
The
marketability
of
of
that
career,
justifies
putting
it
in
every
one
of
our
high
schools
if
possible.
I
I
got
to
believe
there
would
be
an
interesting
absolutely
thank
you
for
bringing
that
too.
Thanks.
G
U
So
currently
we
offer
health
a
to
as
a
graduation
requirement
that
is
a
0.5
elective
and
in
may
of
2021
the
maryland
state
department
of
education
increased
that
requirement
to
a
1.0
so
we'll
be
expanding
upon
some
of
those
topics
we're
going
to
be
including
topics
such
as
grief
and
loss.
Organ
donation,
disordered,
eating
sexually
explicit
media
drug
use
during
pregnancy,
addiction,
including
gambling
drug
use
in
the
relationship
with
health
risks
such
as
suicide
and
violence,
as
well
as
environmental
literacy
in
health,
education.
U
So
we're
currently
exploring
some
of
those
topics.
Now
some
of
the
topics
include
safe
disposal
of
jewels
and
medicine,
and
I
also
have
maureen
grizzo
here
with
me:
who's
my
health
education,
teacher
specialist
and
she
has
been
working
with
our
specialist
at
arlington
echo,
to
help
us
with
this
topic.
So
you
have
anything
to
expand
upon
in
that.
H
C
D
All
right,
thank
you
very
much.
I
would
just
add
my
thanks.
I'm
especially
delighted
to
see
the
unified
dance
at
mpe
at
the
middle
school
level.
I
think
it's
particularly
valuable
there
in
many
ways
for
a
whole
host
of
reasons,
but
these
are
all
extraordinary
courses.
I
can't
imagine
having
had
these
opportunities
back
when
I
was
in
high
school,
and
so
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you
to
all
of
you
for
the
work,
and
I
can't
wait
to
see
what
our
amazing
young
people
do
with
all
of
this.
D
I'm
sure
we're
going
to
have
you
know
many,
esteemed
music
producers
coming
out
of
this
county
someday
and,
along
with
all
the
other,
wonderful
work,
the
case
work
and
so
on.
So
thank
you.
Thank
you
to
everyone.
I
see
no
more
lights,
so
miss.
D
J
Good
afternoon
for
the

jeanette

before
you
on
second

Jt

Just
as
a
reminder,
this

has
been
drafted
in
accordance
with
new
state
law
requirements.
J
It
was
on
a
30-day
public
comment
period.
We
did
not
receive
any
public
comments.
As
ms
ellis
stated
in
the
policy
committee
report,
the
policy
committee
reviewed
the
accompanying
regulation,
which
is
also
aligned
with
state
law
and
msde
model
policy
requirements
for
the
implementation
piece
of
the
policy.
I
can
answer
any
questions.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
M
V
V
Thank
you
on
february,
2nd
2022.
I
came
before
this
board
and
provided
several
areas
of
concern
with
the
charter
school
application
to
open
the
chesapeake
science
point
public
charter
elementary
school.
These
concerns
resulted
in
the
application
not
being
approved
shortly
thereafter
we
met
with
the
staff
of
chesapeake
lighthouse
foundation
and
their
board
and
shared
in
greater
detail.
These
concerns,
and
on
february
24th
2022,
a
new
application
was
submitted
for
review.
V
The
newly
submitted
application
was
reviewed
and
scored
within
120
day
time
frame.
Each
of
the
concerns
that
were
outlined
in
the
first
application
were
addressed
in
the
new
application,
and
for
that
reason
we
come
before
you
today
to
bring
forth
dr
alato's
recommendation
to
approve
this
charter
application,
updated
scores
and
review
feedback
have
been
submitted
for
your
review
consistent
with
the
charter
school
law
in
the
state
of
maryland.
V
The
local
board
of
education
is
the
charter
school
authorizing
body
and,
as
such,
has
the
final
decision
on
an
approval
or
denial
of
a
charter
school
application,
if
approved
today,
the
chesapeake
science
point
public
charter
elementary
school
would
open
in
the
fall
of
2023
with
384
students
in
grades
kindergarten
through
five,
the
school
would
grow
to
576
students
in
grades
k
to
five
by
year.
Five,
the
school's
focus
as
it
was
in
the
first
application
is
to
provide
a
rigorous
elementary
school
curriculum,
with
a
concentration
on
coding,
robotics
and
virtual
reality.
V
Further,
if
approved,
the
charter
agreement
will
come
back
before
this
board
for
approval
within
30
days.
Additionally,
there
are
a
few
facility
related
documents
that
you
all
also
have
to
approve
over
the
next
year,
or
so
those
include
ed
specs,
schematic
design
and
design
development
documents
a
little
further
down.
The
road,
though,
just
wanted
to
bring
those
to
your
attention,
so
you
know
what
to
expect
moving
forward
at
this
time.
We're
available
for
questions.
Thank
you.
D
Thank
you,
mr
crane.
Ms
ellis.
P
I
just
want
to
say
how
happy
I
am
to
see
us
at
this
point.
I
know
that
the
last
time
the
original
application
that
was
brought
was
a
big
concern
and
a
big
disappointment
for
a
lot
of
people.
P
The
outcome
of
that
one-
and
I
know
I
said
at
that
time-
I've
I've,
seen
people
working
around
the
clock
on
proposals
and
pulling
it
together
and
winning
and-
and
it
can
be
done-
and
I'm
so
pleased
to
hear
this
recommendation
today
and
kudos
to
all
of
your
hard
work
well
done.
G
Thank
you.
I
wanted
to
just
comment
that,
since
our
original
meeting,
where,
where
that
took
place,
I
was
incredibly
lucky
to
be
able
to
tour
for
the
first
time
the
chesapeake
lighthouse,
and
they
were
kind
enough
to
print
this
out,
to
show
me
some
of
the
unique
offerings
that
they
have
and
some
of
the
really
amazing
things
that
they
do
at
this
school.
G
So
I
had
to
bring
it
just
to
show
everybody
today,
so
I
wanted
to
put
that
up
there,
so
everyone
could
see
it
and
just
express
my
gratitude
that
the
application
was
refiled.
I
mean
from
the
second
to
the
24th,
is
an
unbelievable
turnaround
time.
So
it
really
speaks
to
the
dedication
of
this
group,
and
I
am
just
so
thankful
to
be
in
the
position
that
I'm
in
today
to
support
this.
Thank
you.
S
Thank
you,
president
tobin.
I
just
want
to
say
you
know
this
group
has
been
nationally
recognized
for
their
success,
as
I
had
mentioned,
one
of
our
other
high
schools
being
nationally
recognized,
and
so
I
want
to
applaud
you
for
your
tenacity
and
maybe
a
little
guy
I'll
put
in
there.
You
can
go
come
suck
come
see
himself,
but
ultimately,
I
believe
I
spoke
about
the
ability
for
us
to
actually
get
through
in
an
expedited
manner,
and
it
is
as
insurmountable
as
it
may
have
seemed.
S
We
we
as
a
collective
whole
have
persevered,
and
so
I
want
to
thank
all
of
you
for
seeing
it
through
and
thank
the
staff
for
putting
fresh
eyes
and
recognizing
the
hard
work
and
efforts
are
not
reflective
of
the
outcomes
to
the
students.
Our
students
are,
are
excelling
and
are
recognizing
all
those
successes
so
being
able
to
culminate
that
once
again,
a
sincere
appreciation
to
the
superintendent
and
to
his
staff,
and
I
look
forward
to
many
future
years
of
prosperity
and
partnership
with
you
and
as
unfortunate
as
our
last
meeting
together
may
have
been.
S
N
Thank
you,
president
dobin.
I
would
just
like
to
give
a
shout
out
to
everyone
all
the
stakeholders
that
have
worked
so
hard
to
make
this
come
to
fruition,
as
well
as
dr
alada
and
our
staff,
and
it
just
proves
a
point
for
me:
collaboration
pays
off
for
our
kids,
so
thank
you.
D
Okay,
miss
alice.
I
see
a
light.
Is
that
your
old
light?
Okay,
I
see
no
other
light,
so
I
would
just
like
to
add
my
thanks
for
your
persistence.
D
D
Someday
submitting
a
charter
application,
I
urge
you
to
work
closely
with
our
staff.
We
we
want
success
for
all
of
our
students
and
our
staff
are
expert
and
a
huge
resource,
so
work
with
them
take
their
advice
and
nine
times
out
of
ten.
The
outcome
will
be
a
good
one
for.
N
R
Frank
aye,
ms
ellis
aye,
ms
corcodale
aye,
ms
schulhein
aye,
dr
tobin
motion,
passes
6-0.
D
Thank
you
very
much
item
6.06
2022
educational
facilities,
master
plan,
dr
aletta.
D
P
Just
real
quickly:
oh
okay,
so
I'm
looking
at
I'm
sorry!
I
was
looking
at
this
document
and
I
realized
the
projected.
P
School
enrollment
state
capacity
utilization,
sorry,
the
print
is
so
small.
This
is
for
what's
projected
as
projected
for
10
years
out.
Is
that
on
the
document
I'm
looking
at
the
page?
P
Well,
I'm
looking
at
piney
orchard
in
particular
where's,
the
page
number
one
so.
L
P
Right
right:
okay,
that's
helpful!
So
the
I'm
sorry
the
23
projection!
Okay!
Now
I
see
it.
Thank
you
I'm
sorry.
I
looked
at
it
wrong,
20!
Okay,
thank
you.
D
D
D
W
T
W
First
you're
right:
there's
not
a
lot
of
growth
and
development
or
some
redevelopment
there's,
certainly
a
multi-family
dwelling
project
potentially
coming
to
fruition,
albeit
it's
still
in
the
appeals
process.
So
but
esport
to
your
point
is
not
really
a
rapidly
growing
area
from
a
construction
perspective.
So
it's
much
more
likely
to
be
just
a
demography
issue
with
with
birth
rates
and
population
escalation.
Okay,
great.
N
R
D
I
will
turn
to
ms
frank
as
chair
of
the
handbook
committee
for
her
introduction
and
recommendation.
G
Thank
you.
The
handbook
committee
met
several
times
over
the
last
summer
to
review
and
finalize
amendments
to
the
handbook
to
briefly
review.
There
had
been
several
iterations
of
this
committee
over
the
last
few
years
that
had
changed
due
to
the
makeup
of
the
board,
and
the
project
was
again
put
on
hold
because
of
cobit
and
reinitiated
at
the
beginning
of
last
summer.
G
While
board
norms
are
constantly
evolving
and
the
handbook
could
be
continually
updated,
the
committee
felt
it
best
to
submit
the
current
version
to
the
board
for
a
vote.
It
is
my
recommendation
that
this
committee
meet
annually
to
review
any
applicable
updates
in
state
law
and
to
evaluate
current
practices
as
a
quick
explanation
as
to
the
purpose
of
the
handbook,
it
is
designed
to
give
an
overview
of
state
law
as
it
pertains
to
the
board
as
an
entity,
outlines
the
duties
of
board
members
and
provides
current
practices
in
use
by
the
board
to
conduct
businesses.
G
These
practices
have
undergone
many
changes
in
the
past
two
years
and
will
continue
to
improve
as
the
board
evaluates
itself.
It
is
a
helpful
resource
for
new
board
members,
as
well
as
an
important
document
for
the
public
to
understand
the
delineation
and
law
policy
and
practices
of
the
board.
As
this
board
is
now
fully
elected,
a
thorough
understanding
is
the
expectations
and
limitations
of
members
is
crucial
from
a
governance
standard.
G
S
Just
a
question,
the
language
that
the
member
had
used
to
make
the
motion
is:
does
that
mean
that
we
are
it?
Was
that
a
summary
or
are
we
adding,
in
addition
to
adoption
of
the
handbook,
an
annual
requirement?
I
was
just
curious
if
her
language
creates
that
necessity
or
not,
because
it's
an
emotion,
I'm
not
sure.
F
G
S
S
F
S
And
thank
you
very
much
to
the
member.
G
I
would
just
like
to
recognize
that
I
still
would
think
that
it's
important
to
review
annually
whether
or
not
it's
stated,
I
think
that's
the
the
premise
here.
D
I
think
once
again,
we
are
also
in
the
realm
of
norms
and
expectations
for
that
so
seeing
no
more
lights.
