Good
morning
today,
we
honor
an
educator
in
our
school
system
who
loves
the
direct
impact
she
has
on
her
students
and
for
years,
has
taken
many
youngsters
from
good
to
great
lisa
moylan
5th
grade
teacher
at
annapolis.
Elementary
is
truly
a
positive
role
model
and
mentor
for
the
students
in
her
classroom,
where
all
students
are
accepted
and
held
to
high
expectations.
C
She
embraces
the
kids
at
hope,
philosophy
and
has
worked
with
some
of
the
school's
neediest
students
lisa
closely
monitors
student
data
and
sets
goals
with
student
and
sets
goals
with
students
to
encourage
personal
growth.
She
collaborates
with
colleagues
to
differentiate
instruction
for
exactly
what
each
student
needs.
She
is
a
member
of
the
school
improvement
team
leadership
team
and
has
provided
professional
development
to
connect
data
to
instruction.
C
Taking
the
initiative
in
the
school's
historic
preservation
committee,
lisa
worked
with
design
and
print,
as
well
as
outside
community
organizations
to
research.
The
history
of
annapolis,
elementary
school,
the
oldest
school
in
our
state.
Her
dedication
to
this
research
project
resulted
in
an
amazing
history
board
which
graces
the
foyer
of
the
school
complete
with
36
entries,
ranging
from
1783
to
2014..
C
Mrs
moylan's
influence
extends
well
past
the
schoolhouse
as
she
builds
positive
relations
with
students,
families
and
community
members.
She
leads
girls
on
the
run
after
school
club
in
partnership
with
the
naval
academy
midshipmen.
She
also
visits
students
after
school
at
the
stanton
center
and
is
a
well-respected
teacher
in
the
community.
C
She
is
a
lifelong
learner,
always
striving
to
improve
her
craft
as
an
educator
and
leader
among
her
colleagues,
lisa
moylan,
you
foster
a
classroom
environment
where
students
are
respected
and
accepted
for
risk.
Taking
you
make
learning
memorable,
relevant
and
fun.
The
entire
school
community
is
thankful
for
your
hard
work
and
many
contributions
over
the
years
to
annapolis
elementary
school.
So,
on
behalf
of
the
board
of
education,
the
students,
teachers
and
staff
of
anne
arundel
county
public
schools,
I
recognize
and
honor
you
educator
of
the
month
for
october
2015..
C
Of
the
board
we'd
like
to
present
you
with
this
certificate,
thank
you,
and
this
spell,
and
I
have
special
ties
to
the
next
elementary
as
my
three
grandchildren
go
there.
So
this
is
exciting,
and
I
want
to
thank
you
for
everything
you
do.
How
did
they
get
you
here
today.
E
With
you
today,
I
see
a
lot
of
this
is
my
family
and
my.

In
response
to
an
initiative
of
state
superintendents,
larry
lowry's
maryland
breakfast
program,
corey
assisted
the
school
in
implementing
the
second
chance
breakfast
program.
Before
initiating
the
program,
the
school
served
an
average
of
132
students
for
breakfast.
With
the
addition
of
the
program,
the
number
jumped
approximately
to
395
students
when
combining
totals
from
breakfast
served
before
school
and
during
second
chance
breakfast,
that
is,
a
significant
increase
in
total
amount
of
breakfast
is
served.
In
addition
of
the
total
amount
of
students
served
an
average
of
76
percent
of
those
students
receive
free
or
reduced
lunch.
H
H
Corey
has
changed
the
perception
of
the
typical
food
manager
to
a
school
staff
member
who
is
fully
integrated
with
the
school
community.
Moreover,
she
is
a
leader
who
has
helped
the
entire
school
understand
the
importance
of
eradicating
hunger.
One
student
at
a
time,
corey's,
contributions
to
glen,
burnie
high
school
are
countless
and
so
worthy
of
acknowledgement.
H
She
is
a
consummate
professional
and
treats
all
her
staff
members
and
students
with
the
utmost
respect.
Cory.
Tablet
you
epitomize
all
that
is
expected
in
an
anne

employee
the
relationships
you
have
developed
with.
All
your
colleagues
have
helped.
You
earn
the
deep
respect
that
others
have
for
all
your
hard
work
that
goes
into
managing
food
services.
H
H
D
Thank
you.
Many

jacobsville
elementary

boasts
a
rare
school
volunteer
who
typically
tends
to
all
of
these
tasks.
Often
in
the
same

miss
lisa
collins.
D
You
are
an
exceptional
volunteer,
and
so
today
the
board
of
education
is
proud
to
honor
you,
as
our
october
volunteer
of
the
month
jacobsville
reading
teacher
tara
kohler
explained
that
lisa
didn't
hesitate
to
volunteer
in
her
son's
kindergarten
classroom
five
years
ago,
and
she
soon
found
herself
on
the
pta
board
where
she
remains
today.
As
a
pta
board.
D
D
Then
she's
on
to
the
office
and
teachers
work
area
to
assist
with
clerical
duties
during
the
afternoons
and
evenings
lisa
is
a
fixture
at
family
involvement.
Events
and
pta
meetings
as
volunteer
coordinator
lisa,
continues
to
bridge
the
gap
between
home
and
school
building.
The
volunteer
program,
ensuring
everyone
feels
welcome
to
the
school
last
thanksgiving,
lisa,
coordinated
volunteers
to
prepare
and
cook
a
fully
a
full
thanksgiving
feast
for
the
entire
staff
at
jacobsville
elementary
far
from
viewing.
D
This
is
an
inconvenience
lisa
seized
the
opportunity
to
show
the
administrators
teachers
and
staff
members
how
much
they
were
appreciated.
She
enlisted
parents
for
food
preparation
and
even
inspired
students
to
serve
dinner
dressed
in
their
sunday
bests,
lisa's,
warmth,
creativity
and
organizational
skills
ensure
a
wonderful
time
for
all
staff
and
volunteers.
D
Miss
kohler
adds
lisa,
has
generously
donated
over
a
thousand
hours
to
the
jacobsville
elementary
school
and
community,
for
which
we
are
truly
grateful.
Thank
you,
mrs
collins.
Would
you
please
come
forward
with
great
appreciation?
I'd
like
to
present
you,
with
this
volunteer
of
the
month
certificate
and
bell.

F
C
C
Yesterday
afternoon,
members
of
our
group
visited
the
boys
and
girls
club
of
annapolis,
and
that
is
going
to
be
our
local
charity
that
we
are
going
to
support
for
our
annual
ball
held
november
20th.
I
was
so
impressed
when
I
got
there.
I
had
not
visited
the
boys
and
girls
club
of
annapolis.
There
are
six
boys
and
girls.
Clubs
in
anne
arundel
county
didn't
realize
that,
but
when
I,
when
we
arrived
and
were,
we
were
taken
on
a
tour
of
the
building,
the
activities
that
I
saw
our
children
participating
in
were
amazing.
C
I
saw
computers,
I
saw
midshipmen
there,
volunteering
I
saw
grandparents
and
others
volunteering.
I
saw
staff
members
just
doing
so
much
this
club
and
all
of
them
are
open
until
7
p.m.
During
the
time
which
time
they're
given
help
with
homework
they're
given
support
they're.
Also,
given
a
meal,
they
we
watched
them
eat
serving
dinner
and
it
was
looked
really
good,
fried
chicken
and
everything.
C
So
it
was
great,
but
it
just
just
made
me
so
proud
of
what
our
community
and
I
looked
it
into
the
facility,
and
I
saw
all
of
the
various
donations
from
folks
who
have
contributed
to
make
this
such
a
wonderful
facility.
C
We
also,
they
also
have
a
program
forces
and
collaborate
with
our
public
school
system
for
after
school,
for
st
well
for
students
who
have
been
suspended
and
to
help
them
mentoring
and
give
and
redirect
them
during
their
days
of
suspension
and
that
program
will
take,
will
begin
again
at
the
end
of
this
semester.
So
over
and
over
again.
I
just
want
to
thank
the
boys
and
girls
clubs
for
what
they
do
for
our
communities
and
thank
our
citizens
for
for
the
support
and
encourage
you
all
to
come
to
our
holly
ball.
C
We
plan
to
we
raced
quite
a
bit
last
year
for
our
for
our
anne
arundel
county
medical
center,
and
so
we
we
hope
to
do
just
as
well
this
year
for
for
the
celebrating
the
children
for
our
for
our
annual
fundraiser.
Thank
you.
J
Thank
you.
The
past
couple
of
weeks
I
went
to
the
ribbon
cuttings
for
the
newly
renovated
crofton
elementary
and
mills
parole
elementary
and
what
beautiful
buildings
just
gorgeous,
and
both
schools
gave
wonderful
presentations
and
I'll
say
that
I
didn't
know
the
history
behind
mills
parole
and
I
was
just
in
awe
of
that
community
and
how
historic
and
what
an
impact
they've
had
on
our
entire
county
and
the
building
is
just
beautiful.
J
So
I
encourage
folks
to
go
out
there
and
see
and
thank
you
to
all
the
folks
from
the
school
system
who
are
involved
in
completing
those
projects
because
they're
wonderful
last
night
I
came
and
attended.
The
annual
arts
council
of
anne
arundel
county
had
their
showcase
here
at
the
board
meeting
for
schools
to
take
a
look
at
artists
that
they
could
bring
in
to
the
school
system,
and
I
have
been
going
to
that
for
years
and
love
it.
J
We
there
were
magicians
and
dancers
and
puppets
and
little
of
everything,
and
it
was
a
great
time.
The
arts
council
is
a
wonderful
supporter
of
the
arts
programs
here
in
the
schools,
and
I
encourage
all
the
teachers
and
that
are
here
and
parents.
The
deadline
for
the
grants
from
the
arts
council
to
bring
things
into
your
school
is
october,
22nd,
so
apply.
They
are
so
generous
and
that
can
help
you
bring
in
some
wonderful
groups
to
your
communities.
J
F
F
I
also
wanted
to
mention
that
I
am
currently
serving
on
a
statewide
task
force
to
study
the
implementation
of
a
dyslexia
education
program
and
just
wanted
to
make
everyone
aware
of
that,
both
on
the
board
and
and
in
the
public
in
case
they
have
any
comments
or
thoughts
that
they
want
to
give
to
me,
I'm
serving
as
the
representative
for
the
maryland
association
of
boards
of
education.
F
So
we're
hopefully
going
to
be
giving
a
report
to
the
legislature
by
december
if
we're
not
ready,
we'll
be
asking
for
a
june
extension,
but
we're
meeting
almost
weekly
right
now,
so
some
hard
work,
looking
at
what's
going
on
around
the
country
in
in
that
area
and
we're
hoping
to
figure
out
some
great
ways
to
support
all
of
our
students.
So
thank
you.
B
I
just
wanted
to
add
that
the
board
had
an
opportunity
last
week
to
go
to
some
professional
development
at
the
annual
mabe
conference.
The
maryland
association
of
boards
of
education
puts
on
and
we
were
supposed
to
stay
through
friday,
but
hurricane
joaquin
evicted
us
from
the
conference
a
little
bit
early.
B
I
also
am
very
excited
today
to
announce
that
the
board
has
received
some
seed
money
for
an
endowment
to
start
the
teach
for
anne
arundel
scholarship,
and
this
is
a
project.
We've
been
working
on
really
since
the
beginning
of
this
calendar
year
to
try
and
build
an
endowment
fund
so
that
we
can
send
one
of
our
aacps
students
at
least
one
the
more
endowment.
We
have
the
more
we
can
send,
but
we
want
to
send
one
or
more
aacps
students
to
college
to
become
a
teacher
so
that
they
can
come
back
and
teach
for
us.
B
So
we
are
very
grateful.
We
had
some
donors
who
wish
to
remain
anonymous
plant
the
seed
money
and
we
are
going
to
work
over
the
rest
of
the
school
year
to
try
to
raise
at
least
250
000
so
that
we
can
start
awarding
the
scholarship
each
year
to
students
from
aacps
who
want
to
become
teachers
so
help
us
get.
The
word
out
and
there'll
be
a
link
that
will
be
live
after
our
meeting
for
people
who
wish
to
donate
personally.
K
We
held
our
first
meeting
of
our
year
on
september,
8th
and
the
cac
welcomed
11
new,
energetic
members
to
the
committee,
and
we
discussed
topics
relevant
to
this
county
school
system
based
on
feedback
from
the
school
clusters
committee
members
and
board
members.
We've
formed
the
following
committees:
testing,
including
the
hb
740
issues,
homework,
redo
and
grading
policy
and
curriculum
changes.
K
Several
committees
formed
last
year
will
continue
to
work
on
better
communication
plans,
analyzing
school
supply
lists
in
school
student
expenses
and
expanding
the
equity
outreach.
It's
very
important
for
our
committee
members
to
feel
productive
and
needed,
and
we
hope
that
you
join
us
in
getting
us
to
that
point.
The
committee
is
ready
to
tackle
all
board
issues
and
topics
and
we're
here
to
assist
you.
So
thank
you.

Wishing
to
speak
on
an
item
not
on
today's
agenda
may
offer
testimony
during
this
public
comment
version
speakers
will
be
allotted
three
minutes
each
and
the
board
asks
that
comments
remain
civil
and
appropriate
for
the
various
audiences
that
you
may
be
watching
or
doing
meetings,
student-specific,
personnel
matters
or
confidential.
It
cannot
be
discussed
in
this
form.
B
This
time
is
intended
for
speakers
to
voice
their
opinion
and
not
necessarily
as
a
question
and
answer
period.
Speakers
may
pose
questions,
but
answers
will
be
counted
toward
the
three-minute
allotment
for
the
record.
Please
give
your
name
before
speaking
and
any
handouts
can
be
given
to
our
board
assistants.
I
have
six
completed
cards.
B
L
L
I
am
here
to
respectfully
request
that
we
figure
out
a
way
to
have
fewer
days
off
during
the
school
year,
so
we
can
get
out
of
school
earlier
in
june.
Our
kids
have
less
and
less
down
time
and
time
to
relax
and
be
kids.
There
are
more
and
more
over
programmed
and
as
we
cut
into
their
summers,
they
have
even
less
time
to
be
creative
and
just
be
kids.
I
know
we've
added
more
snow
days
and
more
teacher
in
service
days,
and
this
counts
accounts
for
most
of
the
add-on
days.
L
Then,
when
june
comes
they're,
all
tired
of
being
in
school
and
for
the
elementary
ages,
the
last
week
of
school
seems
to
be
just
a
lot
of
parties
and
movies.
This
seems
like
a
waste
of
arjuna,
most
of
our
friends,
my
friends
around
the
country
either
start
after
labor
day
and
go
to
the
third
week
in
june,
or
they
start
before
labor
day
and
get
out
by
memorial
day.
My
friends
can't
understand
why
we
go
early
and
stay
late
for
those
parents
with
kids
in
high
school
sporting.
L
Many
of
their
practices
now
start
the
first
week
in
august.
This
just
cut
our
summer
another
three
weeks.
Frankly,
this
is
one
of
the
main
reasons.
My
kids
don't
do
high
school
sports,
I'm
not
sacrificing
our
kids,
family
trips
or
time
off
for
a
school
sport
that
starts
in
the
summer,
I'm
not
alone.
In
wanting
a
few
fewer
days
off
during
the
year,
I
did
a
whole
of
my
friends,
and
almost
all
of
them
would
prefer
longer
summer
versus
these
days
off
during
the
year.
L
One
of
my
friends,
who's,
a
middle
school
department
chair,
said,
get
rid
of
the
full
day
teacher
in
service
days
throughout
the
year.
Most
of
the
teachers
do
not
get
time
to
work
on
grades
anyway.
I
know
these
days
are
union
regulated,
so
we
probably
won't
be
able
to
change
them,
but
this
is
just
an
example
that
some
of
the
teachers
agree
they're
too
many
days
off
during
the
year.
I
have
quite
a
few
other
teachers,
friends
who
agree
but
didn't
want
to
be
named.
In
addition,
this
is
important.
L
The
current
schedule
is
actually
biased
against
working
parents
who
have
to
figure
out
child
care
during
these
random
days
off
during
the
year.
It's
much
easier
for
a
parent
to
find
care
for
longer
summer
block
than
random
days
throughout
the
year.
Please
consider
shortening
the
calendar
for
the
next
year.
That's
coming
up
for
approval
1617
or
at
the
very
least
17-18.
B
M
Good
morning,
president
corbilek
members
of
the
board
and
superintendent
arlato
for
the
record,
my
name
is
eugene
peterson.
I
reside
at
3534
3534
rippling
way
in
laurel
maryland,
and
I
have
a
con
other
contact
information
that
the
will
be
in
my
statement
that
I
will
give
to
the
support
staff
here.
Your
support
staff.
As
you
are
aware,
I
sat
as
a
member
of
the
county
board
of
education
for
10
years.
During
my
time
on
the
board,
we
dealt
with
many
issues
that
impacted
students,
parents
and
the
public
at
large.
M
In
anne
arundel
county,
I'm
requesting
that
you
provide
in
writing
answers
to
the
following
questions.
They
can
be
sent
to
me
so
that
they
may
be
shared
with
the
caucus
or
dr
arlatto.
As
you
agreed,
you
can
come
to
one
of
our
quarterly
meetings
and
you
can
address
these
questions
and
other
issues
that
pertain
to
anne
arundel
county
public
schools.
M
Number
one
was
a
letter
sent
out
to
all
parents
of
students
at
the
middle
school
detailing
what
happened
and
what
steps
are
being
taken
to
ensure
that
a
breach
of
your
websites
will
never
happen
again
in
the
past,
when
I
was
a
member
of
the
board,
as
I
recall,
this
would
have
been
standard
protocol
to
date.
There
has
been
no
public
comment
from
either
the
board
president
or
the
superintendent
superintendent
condemning
this
incident
and
stating
that
this
kind
of
action
on
the
part
of
any
individual
will
not
be
tolerated.
M
M
Please
understand
that
these
questions
are
not
being
raised
to
say
that
the
caucus
believes
that
the
superintendent
and
the
board
are
not
committed
to
a
biased
free
educational
environment
or
that
any
of
you
condone
what
happened
at
seven
river
middle
school.
You
are
all
decent
and
well-meaning
people
who
have
the
best
interest
of
our
students,
parents
in
the
community
at
heart,
and
do
an
exemplary
job,
providing
a
caring
and
nurturing
environment
in
which
our
children
can
succeed
and
thrive.
M
E
E
Before
I
begin,
I
would
like
to
to
say
my
representation.
I
come
as
a
parent
and
also
a
product
of
seven
river
middle
school,
which
is
the
school
where
this
occurred,
and
I
also
have
another
daughter
who
went
to
seven
river
middle
school
who's
now
in
high
school
with
broad
neck,
and
I
was
vice
president
of
the
student
government
at
seven
river.
So
I
don't
know
if
that
helps.
E
So
what
happens
when
these
types
of
things
occur
is
rather
than
be
able
to
ensure
that
this
won't
happen
again,
but
also
just
get
accurate
information
out
to
parents
and
accurate
information
out
to
students?
E
Just
state
my
I
don't
want
to
use
any
really
strong
words,
but
to
state
my.
I
guess
I
could
say
astonishment
that
here
we
are
in
october
and
as
a
parent,
I
have
not
heard
anything
about
this
incident.
I
happen
to
know
intimately
because
I've
seen
the
actual
screenshot
of
what
was
put
on
there
and
also
because
I
have
a
daughter
who
goes
there
and
I
tend
like
most
parents.
I
would
hope
to
communicate
with
my
child.
E
But
this
is
a
very
serious
matter
because
by
definition
it
is
a
hate
crime.
So
what
we
can
do
is
we
can.
We
can
minimize
that
and
we
can
belittle
that
and
make
it
something
else.
But
the
actuality
is.
It
is
a
hate
crime
because
it
threatens
a
protected
group
of
people,
whether
it
is
a
woman,
whether
it
is
someone
by
their
gender,
whether
it
is
someone
by
their
sexual
orientation,
religion
or
race,
and
that's
one
thing
that
we're
very
clear
about.
E
So
I
think
it
needs
to
be
looked
at
and
I
think
we
need
a
comment.
I
think
our
county
needs
a
comment
from
you
all
as
leaders
to
dictate
how
we
move
with
this.
I
have
some
recommendations
that
I'll
end
with,
and
I
think
that
when
it
comes
to
providing
equitable
education,
equitable
services
and
equitable
representation,
what
we
want
to
do
is
we.
E
So
I
have
a
family
and
my
family
goes
to
different
schools,
but
they're
receiving
different
information,
and
I
have
neighbors
also
who
are
families,
and
if
I
have
a
neighbor
who
I
know
very
well,
and
they
also
have
children
that
go
to
the
school
and
they
know
nothing
about
this.
But
I
happen
to
be
african-american,
so
it's
perceived
as
an
attack,
it's
perceived
as
you
know,
race-baiting
or
saying
hey.
You
know
this
is
an
issue
that
we
need
to
deal
with
because
I'm
black,
it
is
not
a
black
issue.
E
E
I
want
to
reiterate
that
it
is
directed
to
a
line
of
what
I
would
call
people
who
are
who
can
be
threatened
and
who
are
perceived
as
weak
in
the
school
environment,
and
that
has
to
be
nipped
in
the
bud.
It
has
to
be
made
in
actuality.
Think
about
this
think
about
the
beauty
of
this,
and
I
know
my
time
is
just
the
beauty
of
this
is
it
is
the
first
day
of
school
right,
so
it
cannot
be
any
more
symbolic.
It
is
the
first
day
of
school
you're
coming
back
to
school.
E
This
happens,
so
what
you
need
to
do
is
or
what
my
recommendation
is.
You
use
this
as
an
example
to
say
moving
into
this
next
school
year,
where
we
sit
and
where
we
stand
is,
we
will
not
tolerate
it,
and
there
are
specific
steps
in
protocol
that
we
follow
as
a
board
that
ensures
the
safety
of
those
who
are
underneath
us
and.
H
N
N
As
william
said,
this
happened
the
first
day
of
school,
it's
almost
as
if
well,
let's
set
the
tone,
the
negative
tone,
the
first
day
of
school
for
certain
portions
of
our
school
community,
and
you
have
to
know
that
that's
absolutely
unacceptable.
But
what's
more
unacceptable
to
me
is
the
silence.
I
know
we've
seen
an
article
here
and
there
and
what
the
police
are
doing,
but
the
silence
from
this
board
from
the
superintendent.
N
N
If
nobody
else
said
anything,
I
would
expect
the
three
of
you
all
to
have
something
to
say
about
it
and
then
this
business
of
trying
to
track
down
who
it
is,
I'm
sure
that
there's
some
parent
connected
to
the
students
at
seven
river
middle
school
that
works
at
the
nsa
and
could
probably
answer
that
question
for
you
in
three
minutes
or
if
not,
that
there's
probably
some
to
use
the
terms
they
use
a
nerd
or
a
geek
in
one
of
our
schools
who
could
figure
out
what
the
electronic
footprint
was
in
two
or
three
minutes
and
tell
you
who
it
is
so
that
you
can
respond
to
it.
N
N
I
think
that
that
is
also
that
perhaps
it
did
not
receive
the
institutional
pushback
that
it
could
have
had
because
of
another
problem
that
we're
having
in
the
system.
Right
now
that
we
are
hemorrhaging.
N
G
We're
here
to
officially
serve
notice
that
we
intend
not
to
tolerate
tax-day
taxpayers
dollars
being
used
to
subsidize
systemic
racism
in
any
manner.
Our
concerns
are
not
just
about
racist
rantings
on
the
blackboard,
but
we're
concerned
about
ensuring
that
the
school
system
reflects
the
school
system.
Employees
reflect
the
community
that
they
serve.
G
G
G
O
Thank
you,
mr
black,
so
thank
you
all
for
for
coming
in
this
morning
and
sharing
your
concerns.
O
O
The
site
was
brought
down,
blackboard
was
contacted
and
lots
of
things
have
gone
on.
We
don't
have
the
ability
to
contact
nsa
to
reach
out
into
the
community
for
us.
Thank
you
for
the
suggestion,
but
we
can't
do
that,
but
our
team
was
able
to
contact
blackboard.
We
got
the
blackboard
site
shut
down.
We
were
able
to
determine
where,
on
the
site
it
was
not
a.
It
was
not
a
common
place
on
the
site
for
a
student,
that's
searching
for
their
homework
where
they
would
find
this
degrading
posting
that
was
there.
O
We
began
our
investigation
immediately
after,
as
I
said,
shutting
down
the
site
and
then
we
involved
the
police
department.
One
of
the
information.
The
information
from
the
police
department
was
that
they
asked
that
we
not
put
the
word
out
on
this
as
they
began
their
investigation
because
of
the,
and
I
don't.
I
can't
speak
to
the
technical
side
of
how
electronic
investigations
go,
but
they
wanted
us
to
just
lay
low
while
they
went
ahead
and
conducted
their
investigation.
O
That
investigation
is
ongoing.
My
understanding,
the
police
department,
has
also
involved
other
agencies
through
the
process
and
I'm
gonna.
Let
them
do
their
work.
I
assure
you,
if
that,
from
my
for
you,
the
gentleman
in
front
of
me
and
the
general
public
listening
in,
and
that
are
here
today,
that
if
I
have
the
ability
to
discipline
somebody
from
my
vantage
point
based
on
this
and
based
on
the
outcome,
the
investigation-
I
will
certainly
do
that.
O
O
O
We
the
reason
we
didn't
put
a
letter
out
and
it
was
not
protocol
that
we
put
a
letter
out
on
every
instance
when
you
were
a
board
member.
Our
protocol
has
remained
the
same
over
the
years
that
we
put
letters
out
that
affect
the
entire
community
of
a
school.
If
there
was
something
that
disrupted
the
school
day,
our
understanding
was
that
it
was
a
single
family
household
that
knew
about
this.
O
We
talked
to
the
parent
in
that
household
and
if
they
discussed
it
with
other
people,
they
may
have,
but
we
talked
to
the
principal
and
other
members
of
that
team
there
and
we
weren't
able
to
determine
that
it
was
a
widespread
knowledge
at
the
time.
If
we
put
a
letter
out,
we
had
more
questions
than
we
had
answers
to.
So
when
the
investigation
is
over,
I'm
glad
to
communicate
anything
and
everything
we
have
through
this
process,
because
we
don't
want
it
to
happen
again.
O
I
do
very
much
appreciate
your
comments,
mr
rao,
that
we
don't
want
this
to
happen
again
in
any
way
shape
or
form,
particularly
because
it
happened
through
a
blackboard
site
that
was
associated
with
the
school,
and
so
we
don't
want
it
to
happen
again.
We
have
been
working
with
blackboard
to
make
sure
that
that
part
of
the
site,
where
somebody
accessed
to
post
this
hate
information
can't
be
accessed
anymore
by
anybody.
O
Blackboard
has
brought
that
piece
down
and
then
we've
been
able
to
bring
blackboard
back
up
for
the
entire
school
system.
With
this
with
this
new
piece,
so
we
are
very,
very
sorry
and
and
really
sick
about
the
fact
that
this
occurred
and
but
we
have,
we
have
followed
our
protocols.
E
That
says
this
site
is
intended
for
educational
purposes,
x,
y
and
z.
You
know
negative
comments,
hate
stuff
or
whatever
is
not
tolerated.
E
E
It's
like
a
bacteria,
it
happens,
it
festers
and
it
grows
in
darkness.
You
know
where
there
is
no
light
and
no
oxygen,
so
the
problem
is
if
we
can't,
if
we
can't
be
proactive
and
say
hey,
you
know
like
this
makes
an
excellent
opportunity
to
say
this.
This
will
not
be
tolerated
this
type
of
behavior
as
we
move
forward
anyway.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Yeah.
B
B
I
just
I
just
want
to
reiterate
that
we
don't
have
any
legal
authority
to
arrest
or
bring
to
trial
people
who
are
participating
in
criminal
activity,
and
we
trust
that
the
people
who
do
will
do
the
right
thing
and
I've
been
in
contact
with
mr
peterson
about
this.
Hadn't
had
a
chance
to
talk
to
you
guys,
but
we
were
asked
to
be
to
let
the.
M
I
Dr
alato
president,
corblak
and
members
of
the
board,
thank
you
very
much
for
your
time
and
consideration.
I'm
also
here
to
talk
about
the
achievement
gap.
F
I
I
I
You've
you've
had
much
much
evidence
before
about
the
advantages
that
later
high
school
start
time
will
have
for
our
most
disadvantaged
students.
As
you
go
into
your
upcoming
workshop
on
how
to
implement
this,
I'm
hoping
that
you
retain
a
laser-like
focus
on
your
mission.
I
I
recently
ran
into
another
man
just
yesterday
that
I'd
known
through
his
job
he's
a
tall
african-american
man
in
his
late
30s
early
40s
with
a
lovely
young
family,
he's
a
youth,
basketball
coach
and
he
told
me
he
went
to
annapolis
high.
I
asked
if
he
had
been
on
the
high
school
basketball
team
and
he
said
no.
He
was
in
high
school
for
academics
and
he
went
on
to
college
all
of
his
friends
on
the
high
school
basketball
team.
None
of
them
had
gone
on
to
college.
I
I
refer
you
to
simon
sinhak's,
youtube
video
of
why
people?
Don't
people
don't
buy
what
you
do
they
buy?
Why
you
do
it,
and
so,
as
you
go
in,
remember
that
we're
not
just
hauling
garbage
around
in
a
three-tiered
system,
we're
hauling
young
developing
minds,
it's
not
about
being
the
most
efficient,
it's
about
being
there
for
their
brains,
and
you
have
to
be
so
strong.
I
B
P
O
We
I'll
ask
that:
would
the
deputy
assume
that
mr
liverman
and
miss
pelham
would
you
go
out
with
the
parents
so
they
can?
You
can
understand
the
concerns,
because.
B
O
O
B
J
O
B
B
B
O
Ma'am,
I
recommend
the
board
award
contract
number
16-0445
security
cameras,
equipment
and
services
to
lensec
llc
in
the
amount
of
500
000.

The
next
board
policy
committee
meeting
is
wednesday
october
14th
at
1
pm.
The
next
board
budget
meeting
board
budget
committee
meeting
is
wednesday
october
21st
at
4
30
pm
and
the
board
will
be
holding
a
public
workshop
on
school
start
and
dismissal
times
at
6
30
pm
on
tuesday
october
20th.
In
the
board
room,
no
public
testimony
will
be
taken
at
the
workshop.
The
public
is
welcome
to
attend
mrs
nelly.
C
I'd
like
to
move
that
the
board,
who
go
into
closed
session,
to
discuss
the
appointment,
employment
assignment
promotion,
discipline,
demotion,
compensation,
removal,
resignation
or
performance
evaluation
of
appointees
employees
or
officials
over
whom
this
public
body
has
jurisdiction
or
any
other
personnel
matter.
That
affects
one
or
more
specific
individuals
to
consult
with
council,
to
obtain
legal
advice
on
a
legal
matter
and
to
conduct
collective
bargaining
negotiations
or
consider
matters
that
relate
to
the
negotiations.
