A
A
B
That
all
thank
you
very
much
for
the
invitation.
I
am
very
happy
to
be
here
with
you
sharing
different
opinions
about
the
library.
If
I
am
the
family
literacy
advisor
of
the
library-
and
this
is
a
position
that
is
new,
I
started
this
year
in
April.
So,
basically,
my
role
and
my
role
in
the
library
is
to
promote
the
library,
services
and
information
from
the
library
in
general
to
the
Hispanic
population.
B
I
still
remember,
when
I
arrived
in
this
country
that
it
was
in
the
year
2000
since
in
the
state
of
California,
and
for
me
the
library
was
one
of
the
institutions
and
things
which
I
remember
with
great
appreciation,
because
it
really
was
of
great
benefit
to
me,.
So
for
me,
the
concept
of
the
public
library,,
although
it
was
a
very
foreign
concept,,
because
it
is
something
very
different
from
what
we
have
in
our
countries,
as
you
know,.
It
was
something
wonderful
because
It
helped
me
a
lot
to
integrate
into
this
culture.
B
It
was
a
way
of
direct
immersion
into
this
culture.
So
I
visited
the
nearest
library,,
which
was
basically
two
blocks
from
my
house..
I
took
English
courses
and
I,
also
read.
I
visited
and
attended
the
different
programs
that
were
provided
at
that
time..
I
am
honored
to
be
here
as
a
representative
of
the
annandale
county
libraries
also
trying
to
expand
this
message
to
the
entire
Hispanic
population.
That's
how
it.
A
B
So,
basically,
all
the
information
in
general
and
all
the
programs
and
all
this
is
up
to
the
At
the
moment
they
have
basically
been
in
English,
now.
What
we
want
to
do
is
promote
all
these
services
so
that
the
Hispanic
community
acts
in
a
more
active
way,,
let's
say,,
and
participates
in
a
more
active
way,.
B
All
this
is
changing
a
little
bit
because,
as
I
told
you
before,.
All
the
information
was
basically
in
English.
Now
we
have
practically
everything
translated.
We
are
also
including
many
bilingual
programs
for
children
and
for
the
community
in
general.
We
already
have
many
more
users.
The
materials
in
the
library
collection,
which
are
almost
a
billion
materials,
are
being
expanded
in
the
language
Spanish.
B
So
we
want
to
invite
the
whole
community
d
Hispanic
to
use
this
resource,
because
one
of
the
objectives
of
the
library
is
to
serve
the
community
and
now
that
this
population
is
growing
considerably,,
especially
in
recent
times,.
We
want
this
population
to
also
benefit
from
all
the
resources
we
have
to
offer.
A
C
A
B
Yes,
Of
course,,
it
goes
beyond
books.
First
of
all,.
When
we
talk
about
the
library,,
we
only
think
of
the
building
where
there
are
books.
Basically,.
When
you
go
to
the
libraries,,
you
find
books,
magazines,
CDs,
DVDs,,
and
we
also
have
online
resources.
When
you
go
to
the
page.
from
the
library
that
is
w
w
w
cp
l
dot
net,
there
are
countless
resources
resources
in
line
also
in
Spanish
that
you
can
use.
So
when
we
count,
and
when
we
group
all
these
material
resources,
we
can
count
close
to
1
million.
A
B
B
The
process
to
obtain
this
card
is
very
simple..
You
can
go
to
any
library
that
you
want
near
your
home..
We
know
that
there
are
15
libraries
throughout
the
county
and
access
the
application.
Fill
out
the
application.
That
It
is
a
very
simple
application
with
personal
data
and
bring
proof
of
a
current
address.
It
can
be
the
driver's
license
or
pu
It
can
be
a
receipt
for
any
electricity
utility
and
give
it
to
the
person
who
is
in
charge
of
receiving
it..
This
is
a
loss
if
he.
B
A
B
A
Is
a
situation
in
some
of
the
Hispanic
families
and
I?
Don't
know
if
you
are
aware
of
it,
and
it
is
that
some
families,
the
parents,
do
not
know
how
to
read
and
write
in
Spanish
or
their
first
language
is
not.
It
is
Spanish
because
they
speak
an
indigenous
language
from
a
Central
American
country.
So
someone
can
go
to
the
library
ask
for
the
form,
take
it
home
and
then
ask
help
to
fill
out
the
form
or
you
have
to
fill
out
the
form
there
is
in
the
liver,
the.
B
Form
can
be
taken
home
and
you
can
ask
someone
to
help.
You
fill
it
out
and
you
can
also
contact
me
because
all
the
libraries
have
my
information.
So
the
library
can
call
me
and
Over
the
phone
I
can
translate
so
that
the
person
who
is
there
helps
them
fill
out
the
application,
but
they
can
still
take
it
home
and
they
can
usually
be.
B
A
B
Don't
forget
to
mention
that
we
also
have
a
great
computer
and
printing
service
in
each
library.
So,
as
you
tell
the
employees
or
the
people
who
are
aware
of
that,
they
will
give
you
information.
So
we
don't
have
computer
printers
at
home.
We
can
use
them
and
it's
a
very,
very
low
nominal
cost.
It's
exactly
so
we
can
print
in
black
and
white
and
also
in.
B
A
B
If
the
bilingual
instruction
group
good
program
created
by
Mr.
Gastón
gamers
from
public
schools,
he
works
for
the
baby
program,
s
young
children
from
public
schools,
and
he
started
this
group
in
the
Annapolis
library.
So
a
very
informal
group
in
which
we
invite
Hispanic
families
who
have
young
children
from
birth
to
45
years
of
age,
and
we
go
to
this
library
and
sing
the
we
read.
We
do
a
lot
of
bodily
activities.
B
There
are
also
tips
for
parents.
The
parents
are
becoming
friends
with
each
other,
so
we
do
this
program
for
the
benefit
of
Hispanics
and
it
has
been
so
successful
because
the
instruction
is
obviously
bilingual.
It
has
been
so
successful
that
even
many
American
families
want
come
because
they
want
to
introduce
and
they
want
to
start
introducing
their
children
to
a
new.
A
B
So
good,
usually,
if
you
come
here,
I
have
this
brochure,
which
is
where
we
find
all
the
are,
which
is
where
we
find
all
the
library
activities.
Unfortunately,
the
body
of
bilingual
instruction
is
not
here,
because
basically
we
wanted
to
give
more
opportunity
to
Hispanic
families.
If
it
were
here,
we
would
have
a
lot
of
American
families
who
would
like
to
come
to
this
group.
So
basically
I
can
communicate
the
schedules
and
we
have
a
group
in
the
Annapolis
library
every
friday
at
10
am
every
two
weeks
in
the
glenn
bernie
library.
B
We
also
have
a
group
every
tuesday
at
ten
thirty
in
the
morning
and
in
the
esport
annapolis
make
library
we
have
the
same
group
every
monday
at
10
in
the
morning.
So,
basically,
if
you
want
more
information
tion,
you
can
go
to
these
libraries
where
we
have
flyers
and
where
we
have
a
little
more
written
information.
A
D
Much
stay
connected
girl,
it's
a
good
way
to
share
information
and
communicate
with
friends,
but
it's
important
to
remember
that
what
we
post
online
can
affect
people
in
the
real
world
before
uploading
or
posting
any
girl
material.
To
a
few
questions,
how
would
you
feel
if
I
saw
your
family,
your
teachers,
your
coaches
or
neighbors?
Even
if
you
turn
on
privacy
features
it's
impossible
to
fully
control?
D
Who
will
see
what
you
post
or
control
when
that
material
will
be
seen,
you
want
a
photo
or
message
from
you
to
reappear
on
a
few
years
when
you
apply
to
college
or
look
for
a
job
once
you
post
information
online,
you
can
no
longer
remove
it.
Even
if
you
delete
it,
it
might
remain
stored
somewhere
else
a
photo
or
video.
That
might
look
the
same.
How
funny
can
embarrass
or
hurt
someone
else's
feelings
being
connected
in
lines?
Part
of
your
life
so
before
you
click
for
and
think.
