A
Hello,
welcome
to
our
community
a
program
of
cultural
information
and
the
school
system
for
the
Hispanic
community.
Diana
ribera
speaks
to
you
in
our
community.
I
will
announce
the
events
that
we
will
have
in
the
public
schools
of
the
county
of
anar
and
all
and
I
encourage
you
to
participate
in
these
activities.
If
you
have
any
questions
about
this
information,
you
can
contact
the
bilingual
family
and
community
relations
facilitator
at
your
child's
school.
A
During
the
month
of
May
through
June
1,
many
of
the
schools
were
giving
the
state
assessments
parc
the
park
test
measures
that
students
are
also
meeting
academic
expectations
and
learning
the
knowledge
and
skills
they
need
to
stay
on
track
in
school
and
after
high
school
in
college
or
career.
The
test
gives
me
complex
abilities
such
as
thinking
critical
point,
persuasive
writing
problem.
Solving
the
parc
test
is
just
one
of
the
many
ways:
teachers
and
schools
measure
whether
your
child
is
on
track
for
success.
A
Teachers
use
scores
to
improve
teaching
and
learning
and
to
personalize
instruction
to
meet
the
needs
of
each
student.
Parents
receive
one
report
for
English
language,
arts
and
one
for
math
how
my
child's
school
will
use
the
results
test
results
provide
only
one
measure.
One
is
so
snapshot
in
time
of
student
performance,
although
schools
should
never
make
important
decisions
about
the
before,
based
on
just
one
of
the
measures.
The
tests
will
provide
families
with
objective
information
about
whether
their
children
are
on
track
academically
and
help.
A
Educators,
compare
performance
performance
of
their
students
with
others
across
the
state
and
even
in
other,
is
schools
and
districts
can
use
the
information
to
better
plan
instruction,
support
and
enrichment
for
students.
Teachers
can
use
this
information
to
customize
instruction
to
meet
the
individual
needs
of
students.
Parents
can
use
this
information
to
understand
the
needs
and
strengths
of
your
children
and
work
and
the
school
to
support
your
children.
A
In
the
first
weeks
of
June,
the
students
of
the
high
schools
of
the
'county
will
not
have
the
final
evaluations
of
the
semester.
Our
community
encourages
all
students
to
pay
attention
during
reviewing
tests
and
studying
hard
for
final
exams,
parents
should
make
sure
their
children
are
reviewing
their
study
materials.
It
is
important
for
students
to
be
at
school
on
time
for
final
exams.
Good
luck
to
all
students
who
are
taking
the
exams,
ev
Alluations,
June
14,
is
the
day
of
the
American
flag.
A
Nobody
knows
for
sure
what
the
real
origin
of
the
US
flag
is,,
but
it
is
speculated
that
its
primary
designer
was
Francis
Hopkins,,
who,
together
with
the
seamstress
Vex
and
Rose,
created
The
first
American
flag,,
the
design
it
had
to
have,
was
resolved
in
a
congress
held
in
June
1777
when
it
was
established.
That
said,
flag
had
to
contain
13
red
and
white
stripes
that
were
alternately,
3
white
stars
on
a
background
blue.
A
The
number
13
arises
from
the
fact
that
at
that
time,
in
the
USA
there
were
13
colonies
that
wanted
to
become
independent
from
Great
Britain,
and
for
this
reason
they
created
this
symbol
that
was
determined
as
a
different
homeland
from
the
English
one
on
June
14,
1777.
This
design
was
approved
and
since
then
This
was
the
day
that
is
known
to
this
day
as
the
day
of
the
flag,.
But
now
surely
they
have
noticed
that
the
US
flag
contains
more
d
e
three
stars
in
the
box
that
we
find
at
the
top
left,.
A
That
is
true
because
of
the
13
original
states,,
with
the
passage
of
time,,
they
have
increased
and
there
are
more
and
more,.
For
this
reason
they
have
been
incorporated
into
the
flag
with
the
symbol
of
the
star
However,,
the
13
red
and
white
stripes
are
still
in
the
center
of
the
flag
to
reflect
the
differences.
A
A
On
Thursday,
the
14th
and
Friday,
15
students
will
leave.
two
hours
early
with
Friday
the
15th
being
the
last
day
for
students
and
thus
the
end
of
the
fourth
academic
period.
Another
successful
school
year
has
come
to
a
close
congratulations
to
all
of
our
high
school
graduates,
who
will
be
attending
college
elsewhere,
institutions
of
higher
training
or
military
service.
A
We
celebrate
your
determination,
perseverance
and
achievement.
Congratulations,
too
To
the
more
than
81,000
students
who
are
moving
on
to
the
next
grade
or
perhaps
attending
other
schools,.
This
is
also
a
good
time
to
take
a
few
minutes
to
encourage
your
children
to
thank
their
teachers
for
their
hard
work
and
dedication.
This
year.
school
could
write
a
note
to
do
or
just
say.
Thank
you.
You
too,
as
parents
should
think
about
the
ways
in
which
you
have
supported
your
children.
Did
you
get
good
results?
A
Are
you
satisfied
with
the
results?
If
so,
congratulations
and
continue
to
be
involved
in
the
education
and
growth
of
that
but
If,
on
the
contrary,?
You
would
have
wanted
better
academic
results,,
take
this
summer
time
and
start
planning
better
strategies
to
support
your
children's
education.
Next
school
year.
A
For
many
years,
I
have
been
encouraging
our
students
to
participate
in
the
art
of
folkloric
dancing.
and
in
the
last
two
years,
the
students
of
the
first
and
second
Hilltop
elementary
school
grades
have
been
learning
tropical
dances
like
cumbia,
salsa
and
reggaeton.
Congratulations
to
these
little
artists
and
their
parents
who
have
supported
this
program.
Don't
leave
our
community
come
back
right
away
and
I'll
leave
you
with
excerpts
from
one
of
the
group's
choreographies
de
danza
by
latinas.
B
To,
the
Latino
youth
who
are
studying
in
high
school
and
who
are
already
finishing
their
last
year,
I,
want
to
let
you
know
that
the
school
has
narrating
community
college
and
we
have
an
opportunity
for
a
program
from
the
summer,,
which
is
the
summer
bird
program,,
which
is
a
program
that
helps
students
transition
from
high
school
to
college.
And
they
are
two
free
weeks
that
they
learn
and
take
art,
classes,
mathematics,
literature,,
and
they
also
learn
how
to
navigate
in
school
and
meet
with
people
who
know
about
financial
aid
and
help.
A
Oh
learning
doesn't
end
when
you
school
closes
for
the
summer,
take
advantage
of
community
resources
to
help
your
children
keep
their
skills
strong.
You
can
find
an
age-appropriate
reading
list
on
the
orange
county
public
schools
website.
You
can
also
sign
up
at
public
library
for
summer
book
club.
You
can
get
more
information
on
the
public
library
pages.
A
Public
libraries
have
books
available
in
english
and
spanish
when
the
lazy
days
of
summer
arrive
and
your
child's
schedule
is
so
busy
with
swimming
camps,
family
vacations,
finding
a
time
to
read
can
be,
but
children's
reading
skills
shouldn't
stop
developing
just
because
school
is
over
the
county.
Public
libraries
will
have
a
reading
challenge
for
all
cities.
From
june
1st
to
On
the
3rd,
visit
any
of
the
public
libraries,
this
summer.
Check
out
one
of
the
thousands
of
free
programs.
A
There
is
something
for
everyone..
Summer
courses
are
a
great
way
to
receive
additional
training
in
a
specific
field
of
study.
As
a
bridge
between
two
academic
years.
There
are
a
wide
variety
of
topics
to
study
for
those
interested
in
enrolling
in
a
summer
course.
Of
course
they
are
on
vacation.
They
are
vacations
and
we
must
combine
these
reading
and
learning
activities
with
a
bit
of
fun.
Our
community
wants
to
share
some
ideas
taken
from
being
parents
magazine
to
enjoy
this
summer
with
your
children
At
a
minimum
cost,.
A
We
generally
save
all
year
to
be
able
to
do
this
vacation
trip
during
the
summer
with
the
children.
However,.
Sometimes
the
budget
is
not
enough..
The
family
has
a
new
member,
which
translates
into
higher
expenses,
or
they
did
not
have
you.
the
days
that
they
expected
at
work,
for
example,
an
afternoon
of
museums,,
the
ones
we
saw
near
washington,
we
have.
Luckily,
we
all
pay,
we
don't
pay
for
museum
tickets.
A
Nixon
yang
has
a
wide
variety
of
museums
and
activities
for
adults
and
children.
Take
public
transportation
and
planned
a
fun
afternoon
in
the
us
capital
a
day
at
the
park.
Look
for
balls
toys,
water,
bikes,
skates
and
go
out
to
have
fun
in
the
park
because
of
the
heat.
Try
to
do
it
very
early
in
the
morning
around
8
so
that
you
are
back
home
by
11
or,
if
not
organize
your
day,
to
do
it
after
4,
the
sun
sets
in
the
east
around
8
at
night.
So
you
have
enough
time.
A
You
can
make
a
light
breakfast
or
dinner,
bring
fruits
water,
juices,
ham
and
cheese,
sandwiches,
tomato
and
cheese
or
vegetables
and
a
portable
cooler.
So
you
have
fresh
and
light
food
to
face.
The
heat
always
bring
a
big
blanket,
so
they
can
sit
on
and
after
playing,
don't
buy
it
in
the
park.
Everything
will
cost
you
double
a
movie
morning.
Some
small
theaters
offer
movies
for
kids
one
weekend
a
month
and
they
are
free.
A
The
hours
can
be
from
10
in
the
morning
and
on
Saturday
at
one
in
the
afternoon,
check
in
your
city,
which
theater
has
this
program.
In
the
same
way,
some
public
bookstores
also
offer
it
prepare
a
mask
that
better
to
prepare
a
barbecue
with
the
children
to
work
as
a
team.
They
will
cook
and
eat.
Deliciously
always
add
grilled
vegetables
and
fruit
for
dessert,
make
sure
they
drink
a
lot
of
water,
but
carbonated
drinks.
A
The
bilingual
family
and
community
relations
facilitators
do
not
work
during
the
summer
months
and
need
talk
to
someone
in
the
school
system.
During
the
summer
you
can
contact
contact
the
international
student
office
at
4,
10,
2,
63,
64
20.
The
international
student
office
will
have
bilingual
staff
available
to
help
you.
