about
the

for
the
hispanic
community.
Diana
ribera
speaks
to
you
in
our
community.
I
will
announce
the
current
and
upcoming
events
that
we
will
have
in
the
public
schools
of
an
arandel
county
and
I
encourage
you
to
participate
in
these
activities.
If
you
have
any
questions
about
this
information,
you
can
contact
the
bilingual
facilitator
of
families
and
community
relations
of
your
child's
school.
A
The
forms
for
registration
to
the
prekindergarten
program
will
be
available
from
Wednesday,
February
5.
This
program
is
offered
by
some
schools,
either
half
or
full
day
for
children
who
are
4
years
old.
This
pre-kindergarten
program
is
funded
by
the
state
and
is
not
required.
Opportunities
for
this
program
are
offered
based
on
financial
need
of
the
student
and
other
department
criteria
of
education
d,
the
state
of
merida.
All
children,
who
are
four
years
old,
are
eligible
to
apply
to
the
program.
A
A
We
are
going
to
need
some
materials,
such
as
books,
letter
and
number
games
to
memorize,
simple
puzzles

rubber,
erasers,
pencil,
sharpeners,
colored
pencils,
craft
notebooks,
alg
or
music,
and
dedicate
a
good
time
to
the
education
of
your
child.
Every
day.
Now
you
can
apply
these
activities
read
with
your
children
whenever
you
can
practice
with
them
the
name
and
the
sound
of
the
letters
play
with
them.
Whenever
you
can
memorization
activities,
colors
and
reinforcement
to
remember
letters
and
numbers
make
crafts
play
music
and
sing
and
dance
with
them.
This
activity
is
very
easy
and
fun.
A
On
february,
10
students
receive
their
report
cards.
Parents.
You
need
to
take
some
time
to
review
these
report
cards
with
your
children
and
discussing
progress.
It
is
important
for
students
to
know
that
their
parents
are
watching
their
progress
in
school.
If
your
child
is
not
showing
progress
in
school,
then
you
will
need
to
make
an
appointment
to
talk
with
your
child's
teacher
and
find
out
what
academic
supports
extras
are
available.
Note
that
from
the
first
of
this
month
we
have
started
the
second
semester,
third
of
the
2019
2020
school
year.
A
A
Cards
are
issued
four
times
a
year
at
the
end
of
each
grading
period.
Pre-
kindergarten
and
kindergarten
progress
reports
will
be
distributed
at
the
end
of
each
semester
are
also
sent
to
home
interim
progress
reports
at
the
end
of
the
fifth
week
of
each
nine-week
grading
period,
so
that
corrective
action
can
be
taken.
If
necessary,
teachers
will
contact
parents
of
students
who
are
in
danger
of
fail
a
subject
or
whose
grades
have
dropped
by
two
or
more
letters.
At
any
time.
A
In
the
marking
period,
the
us
census
bureau
counts
every
person
living
in
the
usa
every
10
years,
as
required
by
the
us
constitution.
In
article
1,
section
2
data
collected
by
the
census.
They
determine
the
number
of
seats
that
the
state
of
maryland
has
in
the
us
house
of
representatives.
In
other
words,
the
state
of
maryland
currently
has
eight
representatives
in
congress,
but
if
the
census
determines
that
our
population
has
increased,
it
could
mean
what
measure
it
would
have.
A
Census
data
is
also
used
to
determine
how
more
than
$675
billion
in
federal
funds
are
distributed
each
year
to
states
and
local
communities
for
services
and
infrastructure,,
including
health,
services,,
employment,,
schools,,
highways,
and
business
support
through
from
programs
like
medicaid,
jetstar
and
planning
and
building
of
highways
when
people
are
not
counted
that
translates
to
1821
per
person,
so
that
equates
to
a
total
of
one
million
709
with
919
of
money
lost
in
this
community,
because
people
were
not
counted
for
ten
years.
This
is
a
loss
of
more
than
17
million
dollars.
A
The
information
collected
from
the
census
is
used
for
everything
from
how
we
determine
the
number
of
seats
in
congress
to
how
we
allocate
billions
of
dollars
in
federal
resources,
special
and
important
to
minority
and
immigrant
communities.
Finally,
the
law
requires
that
the
census
office
keep
all
the
information
trustworthy
and
use
it
only
to
generate
statistics
so
that
each
community
gets
the
resources.
Each
person
needs
counts
and
it
is
important.
This
is
in
your
hands
to
be
counted,
do
not
leave
our
community
return.
A
The
information
collected
right
away
of
the
census
is
used
for
everything
from
how
we
determine
the
number
of

so

in

to

the
law
requires
that
the

bureau
maintain
confidence
in
all
information
and
use
it
only
to
generate
statistics

is
why
the
