hispanic
community.
Diana
ribera

issues
of
the
educational
system
and
I
will
announce
the
current
and
upcoming
virtual
and
face-to-face
events
that
we
will
have
in
public
schools
of
the
county
of
an
aranda
and
I
encourage
you
to
participate
in
these
activities.

last
five
years
we
had
the
privilege
of
working
together
with
our
supervisor
gastón

who
held
the
position
of
manager
of
international
family
outreach
programs,
each
month
the
gentleman
stood
out
for
his
collaboration
with
immigrant
families
and
community
resources..
We
cannot
forget
his
great
work
and
effort
made
during
the
time
of
the
pandemic
to
ensure
that
all
our
students,

will
continue
to
have
access
to
education
and
their
families
will
receive
all
the
necessary
support
from
our
department
of
bilingual
family
and
community
relations.

The
application
period
for
pre
kindergarten
for
the
2022
or
2023
school
year
opens
on
May
3,
2022
children
who
enroll
in
pre
kindergarten
Must
be
4
years
old
on
or
before
September
1.
The
following
documents
are
required
when
requesting
a
child
to
attend
Pre-K
and
must
be
ordered.
Along
with
the
completed
online
application.

parent
or
legal
guardian,
the
student's
original
birth
certificate
and
birth
record
certificate
or
birth
certificate,
a
copy
of
the
student's
immunization
record,
two
proofs
of
residency
rental
agreement
or
mortgage
statement,
or
a
current
utility
bill
custody
order.

Public
pre-
kindergarten
programs
in
maryland
are
designed
to
improve
the
school
readiness
of
economically
disadvantaged
or
homeless
children.
If
seats
remain,
schools
may
enroll
students
with
other
readiness
needs.

financial
need
must
provide
verification
of
income
eligibility
by
submitting
one

Cps
pre-kindergarten
programs
offer
a
high-quality
educational
experience
to
eligible
children
to
prepare
them
with
the
foundational
knowledge
and
skills
necessary
for
school
success
in
kindergarten
and
beyond.
Public
pre-kindergarten
cannot
be
used
as
an
alternative
to
kindergarten.
Students
Children
with
a
kindergarten
waiver
cannot
attend
public
pre-
kindergarten.
All
4
year
olds
are
eligible
to
apply
for
the
program.
However,
choice
is
limited
due
to
funding.
Some
schools
may
have
waiting
lists.

changes
to
start
and
end
times
may
be
made
in
the
coming
months
due
to
traffic
or
road
construction
or
other
issues.

change
in
school
hours
will
create
healthier
environments
for
all

our

adapt
in

the
diversity
of
our
school
system,
meets
six
times
a
year
and
provides
recommendations
for
meeting
the
parent
and
community
engagement
goals

in

and

community.

role
is
to
help

sure

growth
club
of
annapolis.

has
planned
a
wide
range
of
summer
programs
for
elementary,,
middle,
and
high
school
students.
The
programs
focus
on
helping
students
engage
in
enrichment,
unfinished
learning,
with
a
focus
on
math
literacy
and
preparation
for
the
next
grade
level.
All
programs
will
help
students
have
fun
while
building
healthy
relationships
with
their
peers
practice
skills
and
learn
new
concepts.
Elementary
and
middle
school
programs
will
offer
math
literacy,
cultural
arts,
movement,
mindfulness
and
curricular
experiences.

the
high
school
level,
there
will
be
a
broad
range
of
opportunities
to
earn
high
school
credit
in
all
subjects
required
for
graduation
credit
recovery
and
original
credit
opportunities
will
also
be
offered
traditional
summer
offerings,
including
extended
school
year
and
eating
camps
at
gay
son,
sommer,
brice
arrington,
eco
experiences
and
others,
academic
and
curricular
enrichment
opportunities
and
camps.
It
is
important
to
note
that
our
community
partners
have
joined
us
in
designing
and
offering
this
robust
set
of
summer
programs
for
our
students
throughout
the
United
States.

county
programs
are
offered
only
to
students
currently
enrolled
in
anar
andor,
county
public
schools
and
are
offered
at
no
cost
to
all
students
enrolled
in
these
county.
Public
schools
will
be
virtual
or
in-person
there
will
be.
No
hybrid
programs
will
be
will
provide
limited
transportation
from
central
stops
in
all
communities.
Breakfast
and
lunch
will
be
provided
for
all
day
programs
at
Title,
1
schools
and
we
hope
to
add
additional
sites.
As
we
get
more
information
as
summer
approaches
will
run
to
4
days
of
the
week
from
Monday
to
Thursday.

will
open
on
March
1,
2022,
but
please
note
that
summer
school
will
have
a
later
date.
Rosters
will
be
finalized
on
April
22,
2022.
At
this
time,
you
should
receive
communication
that
your
child
has
been
selected
for
camp

list

has
not

accepted,
as

summers

guaranteed
for
all

funds

support
summer
sales
