Description
Nuestra Comunidad - March 2021
A
Hello,
welcome
to
our
community
a
program
about
the
school
system
for
the
hispanic
community.
This
is
speaking
to
you,
diana
ribera
in
our
community.
I
will
announce
the
current
and
upcoming
events
that
we
will
have
in
the
public
schools
of
anar
ander
county,
and
I
encourage
you
to
participate
in
these
virtual
activities.
A
Under
a
reopening
plan
submitted
by
the
superintendent
and
Georges
voted
on
the
board
of
education
at
their
meeting
on
February
3,
2021,
according
to
the
plan,
students
in
grades,
six,,
nine
and
twelve,
who
are
participating
in
hybrid
learning,
would
return
on
March
8,
followed
by
students
in
grades
seven,,
eight,,
ten
and
eleven
on
March
22.
March
students
at
all
three
levels
will
attend
classes
in
school
buildings
on
Monday
and
Tuesday
or
Thursday
and
Friday
of
each
week.
All
learning
will
take
place
virtually
on
Wednesday,
when
schools
will
undergo
a
deep
cleaning.
A
Students
who
are
learning
in
person
will
participate
in
30
minutes
of
recess
every
day.
A
period
of
time
that
falls
within
the
the
noon.
Block
students
will
participate
primarily
in
outdoor
recess
unless
rain
or
severe
cold
prevents
us
from
offering
outdoor
recess.
Students
will
remain
in
their
classroom,
cohorts
during
recess
but
may
playing
outside
in
rotating
activity
zones
established
by
school
administration,
playground,
structures,
balls,
hoops
and
other
playground,
equipment
will
be
available
for
student
use.
Students
are
expected
to
wash
or
sanitize
their
hands
immediately
before
and
after
recess
to
maximize
health.
A
Safety
for
all
teachers
will
be
able
to
interact
with
students.
However,
we
have
to
remember
that
we
are
in
a
pandemic
and
social
distancing
matters.
If
a
student
needs
help
with
something.
No
doubt
a
teacher
or
an
assistant
will
be
able
to
help
you,
students
will
be
able
to
move
around
the
classroom,
but
your
base
of
operations
rations
will
be
at
their
desk
within
their
designated
area.
A
Teachers
and
students
will
be
able
to
get
up
to
interact,
but
we
will
be
supporting
the
use
of
masks
or
face
coverings
at
all
times,
regular
hand,
washing
or
hand.
Sanitizing
and
social
distancing
students
will
be
able
to
talk
with
other
students
have
lunch
with
their
peers
in
their
classroom
and
play
with
their
classmates
in
outdoor
recess.
However,
students
from
one
classroom
will
stay
together
in
face
to
face.
A
Throughout
the
day,
there
will
be
no
mixing
of
students
between
classrooms
or
classrooms,
and
each
classroom
will
have
about
10-12
students,
and
these
students
will
be
considered
a
cohort
and
are
expected
to
stay
together.
For
the
entire
day,
students
will
be
spaced
in
the
classroom,
approximately
6
feet
from
each
other,
like
so
about
6
feet
from
the
teacher
and
any
teacher
assistants
who
may
be
present
on
a
day
may
work
as
a
team,
but
not
in
a
large
group
or
at
the
reading
table.
A
Teamwork
can
be
accomplished
with
partners
that
are
6
feet
apart
or
can
be
teams
that
form
at
google
mit.
The
health
department
requires
that,
let's
respect
the
6
foot
social
distancing
guidelines
between
students,
parent,
remember
that
your
student
must
bring
their
chromebook
and
headphones
to
school
every
day
that
they
are
required
to
attend,
face-to-face
or
hybrid
use
the
mask
at
all
times,
and
you
must
monitor
any
symptoms
that
the
student
is
presenting
and
making
the
most
sensible
decision
if
they
are
presenting
flu
or
cold
symptoms,.
A
It
is
also
important
that
they
remember
that
the
school
offices
are
still
restricted
and
therefore
they
cannot
show
up
to
school
unexpectedly,,
so
they
should
call
first
and
make
sure
that
it
can
be
attended
if
this
case
warrants
it.
Otherwise,
everything
will
continue
online
for
enrollment
conferences
and
information
for
parents
of
students
who
will
start
middle
school
next
school
year.
2021-2022
should
be
aware
of
reviewing
the
parent
portal
and
/
or
creating
your
account
for
the
selection
of
courses
from
the
middle
school.
A
Otherwise,
your
child
is
at
risk
of
not
taking
the
courses
he
or
she
is
interested
in
if
others
have
already
selected
him/her.
