Delaware
and

here
to
celebrate
tasting
of
the
rainbow
and
showcase
one
of
our
local
farmers
tasting
of
the
rainbows
offered
the
first
Friday
in
all
schools
in
Anne
Arundel
County.
Every
student
who
comes
through
and
gets
the
school
lunch
gets
to
sample
a
new,
fresh
fruit
or
vegetable.
Let
me
introduce
you
to
one
of
our
local
farmers
hi.
B
I'm
Curt
Pfeiffer,
with
pfeiffer
orchards,
I'm
a
fourth-generation
grower
here
in
Kent
County
Delaware.
We
grow
strawberries,
asparagus,
tomatoes,
peaches,
sweet
corn,
cauliflower,
kale,
apples
and
pumpkins
among
other
crops
and
we're
a
grower
of
fruits
and
vegetables
for
Anne
Arundel,
County,
Public,
Schools,
hi.
C
My
name
is
Diane
from
local,
elementary
and
wellness
cool
distinction,
and
today
we
are
sampling.
Red
kale,
red
kale
is
different
from
green
chillz.
Simply
by
its
deep
and
red
and
maroon
color
red
kills
an
excellent
source
of
vitamins.
A
and
C
are
in
potassium
and
fiber.
One
half
cup
of
kale
is
about
18
calories.
It
has
a
mild
nutty
flavor
that
is
slightly
sweet
with
the
hearty
texture
Charlie
did
you
know
what
red
kale
looks
like
well.
D
Now
I
do
guys
hi.
My
name
is
Charlie
and
I'm,
also
from
Oak
Hill
Elementary.
Red
kale
is
unique
because
it
has
red
coloring
from
the
bottom
to
the
top
of
the
leaf.
It
grows
well
in
the
spring
and
fall
as
a
cool
weather.
Crop
red
kale
grows
between
18
to
24,
inches
in
length
and
often
has
fairly
or
curled
leaves.
Today
we
are
trying
fresh
kale,
but
it
can
also
be
steamed,
stewed,
sauteed
and
even
baked,
and
enjoy
today
