A
Hi
I'm
Jodie
Russi,
the
host
for
food-for-thought
and
I'm
here
at
Magee
farms
in
Frankfort,
Delaware
and
we're
here
to
celebrate,
tasting
in
the
rainbow
and
we're
gonna
introduce
one
of
our
local
farmers
tasting
of
the
rainbows
offered
the
first
Friday
in
all
schools
in
Anne
Arundel
County,
every
student
who
purchases
a
school
meal
will
sample
a
fresh
fruit
or
vegetable.
Let
me
introduce
you
to
one
of
our
local
farmers
hi
and
welcome
to.
B
C
My
name
is
Joey
Miller
signature,
design,
ambassador
from
southern
high
school,
a
wellness
school
of
distinction,
and
today
we're
sampling,
red
peppers.
Red
peppers
are
an
excellent
source
of
vitamin
C
and
a
good
source
of
vitamin
A.
Vitamin
b6
and
fiber
red
peppers
are
also
a
good
source
of
antioxidants.
Life
Azim,
as
you
can
see,
the
color
of
this
pepper
is
a
beautiful,
bright
shade
of
red
red
bell.
Peppers
are
considered
sweet
peppers.
They
require
more
time
in
the
ground
before
harvesting
the
green
peppers
and
therefore
may
taste
slightly
sweeter
Sarina.
D
I
do
Joey
hi
I'm
Serena,
a
member
of
Dance
Company
and
National
Honor
Society
at
southern
high
school,
when
selecting
bell
peppers,
look
for
ones
that
have
thick
shiny
and
smooth
skin
refrigerate
bell,
peppers
and
plastic
bags
to
use
within
5
days.
This
vegetable
can
be
eaten
raw
or
cooked.
Try,
slicing
red
peppers
and
strips
and
serving
with
a
low-fat
dip
first
snack,
chop,
sweet
peppers
and
add
them
to
salads
or
stir
into
pasta,
sauces
and
soup
enjoy.
Today's
tasting
and
remember
is
red
peppers,
I'll.
