A
A
Welcome
to
the
next
level
a
brand
new
series
on
aacps
TV.
This
is
our
fourth
episode
and
I'm
here
today
with
two
very
talented
athletes.
I'm
Katie
Holmes
on
this
show
we
feature
senior
athletes
going
on
to
play
at
the
college
level
with
us.
Today
are
two
seniors
from
Chesapeake
High
School.
These
two
athletes
have
a
lot
of
talent
and
are
very
humble
human
beings.
Please
welcome
senior
rashan
Tong
from
Chesapeake.
Thank
you
for
being
here
today
and
sharing
your
personal
story
with
us.
Thank.
B
For
basketball,
I
played
the
four
through
the
five
power
four
through
the
center
and
for
football
I
play
safety.
A
wide
receiver.
A
B
B
B
Mentally
I
watch
film,
I
kind
of
communicate
with
my
teammates
and
the
coaches
to
remember
our
keys.
So
what
we
have
set
our
practices
and
things
like
that.
So.
B
B
B
B
B
B
I
would
like
to
look
up
the
coach
rob.
You
know
my
head
football
coach
at
Chesapeake,
High
School
and
he
said
a
lot
of
good
standards
for
us.
You
know
always
reminding
me
to
push
for
the
best.
B
B
B
A
B
The
recruitment
process
was
a
little
stressful
at
the
time.
It's
it's
really
favoring.
When
you
know
you
get
that
first
couple
offers
and
they
start
adding
up,
but
towards
the
end
it
was
more
of
a
low-key
process.
You
know
most
of
the
coaches
know,
do
the
contact
of
what
school
I
was
kind
of
reaching
out
to,
and
things
like
that,
I.
A
B
B
A

A
B
B
A
B
A
B
A
B
A
C
Hi
I'm,
Dr,
Mark,
Bedell
and
I
am
proud
to
be
the
superintendent
of
Anne
Arundel
County
Public
Schools,
a
district
of
85
000
students
and
14
000
dedicated
employees.
We
are
on
our
way
to
being
the
best
school
system
in
Maryland
and
we
could
use
your
help
to
get
there.
Consider
one
of
these
many
careers
with
us.
D
A
E
So
I
play
field
hockey,
basketball
and
Lacrosse
for
Chesapeake,
which
one's
your
favorite
filaki
is
definitely
my
favorite.
After
all,
three.
A
E
So
I
started
off
when
I
was
in
like
kindergarten
preschool
where
everyone
starts
off
as
soccer
and
then
basketball
I
didn't
start
playing
the
crosstalls
in
seventh
grade,
which
is
really
late
to
start
playing
lacrosse
but
then
I
quit
soccer.
When
I
was
younger
and
started
playing
field
hockey
and
I
kept
basketball
going,
and
that
was
pretty
much
it
and
I
kept
playing
all
the
way
through
high
school.
E
What
position
do
you
play
so
fiadaki
from
a
high
school
I
play
Center
Midfield
and
for
my
club
I
play
the
backfield,
so
Center
back
left
back
and
right
back
for
basketball.
I
have
my
power
forward,
but
I
can
play
pretty
much
two
through
five
and
then
for
lacrosse
I
played
Midfield,
but
sometimes
my
coach
likes
to
put
me
back
on
defense.
A
A
E
They
probably
describe
me
as
very
determined,
but
also
quiet,
like
I'm,
like
Rashawn
I,
don't
like
to
talk
a
lot.
I'm
lead
by
example.
Definitely
but
I
definitely
put
the
work
in
it.
E
So
I
usually
wake
up
around
7
15
I
get
ready
for
school.
Then
it
depends
on
what
classes
I
have
either
I
have
one
class
or
two
classes
a
day.
Then
I
either
go
to
my
internship
or
I
work,
and
then
it
all
depends
on
what
time
my
practice
or
game
is
and
then
I'll
get
ready
and
then
I'll
head
to
my
practice
or
game
and
then
some
days
I'll
have
double
practices,
so
I'll
go
from
one
practice
to
another.
E
A
E
So
Philadelphia
I
was
definitely
the
one
to
bring
him
in
after
halftime
or
like
a
quarter,
and
I
would
usually
tell
them
like
what
we
needed
to
work
on
or
like
I
would
get
them
fired
up
like
I'm.
Very
pep
talk
person
at
halftime
and
I
would
always
love
it,
but
I
like
to
bring
them
back
to
the
goal
that
we
are
focusing
on
for
that
game
or
like
what
we
want
to
accomplish.
Okay,.
E
E
One
of
my
coaches
I
have
to
think
about
that
one
probably
to
just
keep
going
be
confident
yourself.
I,
had
a
lot
of
I
lost
a
lot
of
confidence
in
eighth
grade
and
how
to
rebuild
it,
but
definitely
just
keeping
confident
keep
your
confidence
up.
A
E
My
dad
gave
me
this
quote
when
I
was
in
eighth
grade
and
he
got
me
a
bracelet
for
it.
For
my
13th
birthday,
it
says
you
do
you
so
every
repeat
that
same
in
my
head.
All
the
time
you
do.
You
worry
about
me,
don't
worry
about
anyone
else
on
the
field,
just
you!
You
do.
E
Definitely
don't
let
the
game
get
to
you.
There
was
one
game
during
this
very
season
where
I
let
the
game
get
to
my
head
and
I
definitely
went
out
on
my
teammates,
and
it
was
not
right
for
me
to
do
that,
and
so
I
had
just
a
mental
breakdown
a
little
bit,
but
definitely
don't
let
the
game
get
into
my
head
because.
D
A
E
E
Yes,
Casey
tadman,
she
was
a
former
UMD
fianaki
player.
She
used
to
coach
at
my
club,
firaki
coach
farming,
Club
Freedom
hockey.
She
left
to
be
an
assistant
coach
at
Maryland,
oh,
which
is
nice.
A
E
E
A
E
E
I
chose
St
Joseph's
because
of
the
school
atmosphere.
It
was
very
small,
I
didn't
want
to
go
to
a
big
school
and
it's
also
really
really
close
to
home.
It's
about
a
two-hour
drive
from
home
and
I
didn't
want
to
go
for
the
coach,
because
my
coach
said
recruited
me
left
so
I
wanted
to
make
sure
I
liked
the
school
more
than
the
coach
and
the
feedlaka
team
and
I
did
and.
E
C
A
E
E
It
was
very
stressful
for
me
because
all
my
friends
got
committed
like
early
in
the
season
like
as
soon
as
June
first
hit
for
me,
so
it
was
stressing
me
out
and
I
feel
like
how
to
speed
up
the
process
and
stuff.
But
during
the
summer
of
my
junior
year,
I
was
very
grateful
that
my
mom
had
every
opportunity
that
she
could
take
me
to
a
school
for
a
camp
or
something
or
tour.
It
was
what
was
nice.
E
E
E
A
Deciding
deciding
factor
good
for
you
when
you
went
there,
did
you
feel
at
home?
Yes,.
E
A
E
Yes,
I
am
we
have
the
saying
called
the
wine?
Does?
The
hawk
will
never
die
so
during
a
basketball
game
or
like
any
game,
the
mascot's
there.
The
hall
cannot
stop
flapping
its
wings.
Okay,
even
if
it's
one
one
hand
do
you
have
a
sports
Idol
I
do
not,
but
Casey
tapman
would
definitely
be
my
sports
Idol.
A
E
E
D
A
E
Avid
is
definitely
a
class
that
helps
me
stay
organized
with
balancing
school
and
then
work
in
sports.
So
it's
definitely
a
class
where,
if
we're
all
struggling
or
something,
we
can
all
have
the
time
to
do
homework,
but
also
helped
me
with
like
a
letter
of
recommendation.
My
college,
essay
and
stuff
like
that.
E
E
What's
your
favorite
part
of
high
school?
Definitely
my
friends
like
I
have
a
lot
of
friends
and
it's
definitely
nice
to
have
some
friends
to
talk
to.
What's
your
favorite
subject,
my
favorite
subject
was:
there:
was
this
class
I
forget
was
called
I?
Think
it's
like
I,
don't
know
we
had
like
a
class
where
we
got
to
teach
preschoolers,
so
that
was
my
favorite
class
I
forget
what
class
is
called.
E
A
A
E
A
A
E
A
A
Thank

Arundel,

I

So
that
would
be
great.
A
A
You
have
to
believe
in
yourself
when
no
one
else
does
that
makes
you
a
winner
right.
There
said
the
four-time
Olympian
gold,
medalist
Venus
Williams
I
would
like
to
thank
you
for
joining
us
on
the
next
