Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of Arlington County government, thank you for joining us this morning, as we gather to commemorate the anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11 2001.

We come together to honor and remember the lives that were lost that day and to express our gratitude to those who responded that day and ever since in service to their fellow citizens.

A

Ladies and gentlemen, please stand for the presentation of the colors by the Arlington County Public Safety, combined honor guard, followed by the singing of the national anthem.

The national anthem will be sung by miss Liza, gouken hodgkins.

Lucy, can you see whatever dawn's early light? What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming, whose broad stripes and bright stars, the perilous fight or the robbers we watched were so gallantly streaming.

At this time, Fire Chief, James, Schwartz, police, chief, Douglas, Scott and sheriff Beth Arthur will now join the Arlington County Public Safety combined honor guard and placing a wreath at the flagpole to honor those who lost their lives 13 years ago.

Ladies and gentlemen, please join us now in a moment of silence and the lowering of the American flag and memory of the nearly 3,000 men, women and children who lost their lives on sep, tember, 11, 2001.
