If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
B
Hi
everybody,
my
name,
is
Wayne,
pepper
and
I
am
the
CEO
and
co-founder
of
the
new
housing
company
here
in
Arlington
and
we're
called
Church
houses
and
our
our
businesses.
We
acquire
single-family
homes
in
the
area
and
we
retrofit
them,
and
then
we
rent
them
out
to
three
to
four
women
over
55.
and
our
goal
is
to
create
affordable
housing
options
here
in
Arlington,
but
also
to
promote
co-living
and
to
create
an
environment
where
people
aren't
isolated.
And
then
we
have
a
Health
Service
that
we
add
to
that.
B
C
D
A
E
A
F
A
A
Let's
see,
we
don't
have
any
introductions
and
so
I
think
the
first
yes
I
think
the
first
order
of
business
is
to
approve
the
July
minutes
as
written.
Do
we
have
any
comments?
Oh
actually,
the
first
thing
we
need
to
do
is
ask
for
a
move
to
approve
the
minutes,
and
then
we
can
take
comments.
B
A
Hearing
none
nuns
from
the
those
who
are
joining
us
remotely,
then
all
in
favor
of
the
minutes
from
July
as
written
to
approve
them.
Please
say:
hi
hi,.
F
A
The
next
item
of
business
is
the
chairs
report
and
I
am
sure
that,
let's
see
what
we
have
to
say,
one
of
the
first
things
we
have
to
do
is
to
take
a
look
at
a
letter
that
was
distributed
to
you
from
the
northern
Virginia
Regional
Commission
on
deaf
and
hard
of
hearing
submitted
by
Bonnie
O'leary
she's,
asking
for
a
letter
of
support
for
a
grant
that
she
is
writing.
A
Many
of
our
issues
are
coordinate
with
those
who
are
deaf
and
hard
of
hearing,
because
many
of
our
older
adults
have
this
health
issue.
So
the
letter
was
distributed,
it
was
approved
by
the
executive
committee.
A
E
You
any
comments
on
the
letter
any.
A
Concern
all
right,
all
in
favor
of
the
letter
of
support
to
corbani
O'leary,
say.
A
Okay,
that's
one
of
the
first
items
in
business.
The
second
item
of
business
is
that
we
have
some.
A
Oh
never
mind
we're
not
doing
that
yet.
Okay,
the
second
item
of
business,
has
to
do
with
the
fact
that
we
are
looking
for
candidates
for
the
commission,
and
we
know
that
we
do
have
some
individuals
who
are
have
completed
their
second
term,
and
this
would
be
their
last
meeting
and
we'll
talk
about
that
later.
We
do
have
two
candidates
who
are
have
a.
A
A
For
joining
us
online,
we
appreciate
you
taking
the
time
to
come
before
us.
So
just
last
week
the
the
clerk
up
for
the
County
Board
had
a
meeting
and
talked
about
being
more
expeditious
in
reviewing
applicants.
So
we
are
trying
to
move
forward.
The
first.
F
A
The
next
step
for
Adele
and
Amanda
would
be
that
we
talk
to
them
as
chair
co-chair
and
then
some
committee
members,
so
that
you
all
have
a
chance
to
meet
the
applicants
and,
frankly,
so
that
the
applicants
get
a
chance
to
meet
you
so
that
they
don't
come
onto
the
commission,
unaware
of
who
some
of
their
partners
are
going
to
be
so
we'll
be
moving
forward
with
that.
As
soon
as
Helen
and
Rachel
give
us
the
go-ahead,
but
I'm
very
excited.
A
We
have
two
wonderfully
qualified
individuals
who
have
agreed
to
or
submitted
their
application
to
join.
C
A
We
still
are
looking
for
a
few
more
good
Souls.
So
if
anyone
does
know
anyone,
please
keep
the
word
going
out
there
week.
Frankly,
as
a
commission
compared
to
some
of
the
other
comments,
I
heard,
the
other
night
are
doing
really
rather
well.
There
are
commissions
that
have
too
many
applicants.
There
are
commissions
who
have
no
applicants.
Someone
said
she
had
been
chair
of
the
commission
for
six,
her
particular
commission
for
six
years,
which
I
find
kind
of
shocking,
but
anyway
that
won't
happen
here.
A
So
the
other
thing
to
talk
about
a
little
bit
as
we
move
forward
in
our
conversation
about
age
friendly
today,
is
that
as
I
was
coming
on
to
the
commission,
we
reshaped
most
of
the
Committees
to
align
with
the
topic
areas
of
age
friendly
and
we
are.
We
have
completed
our
report.
It
has
been
accepted
wholeheartedly
by
AARP
and
we're
about
to
begin
that
next
conversation,
what
was
undone,
what
issues
have
come
to
four
and
how
we
need
to
move
forward?
It
could
mean
that
the
the
Committees
align
in
a
whole
different
way.
A
It
could
mean
that
they
stay
relatively
the
same
one
of
the
ones
that
I'm
looking
at
her
show.
We
feel
we
felt
strongly
that
legislative
was
really
important
because
it
it
covers
the
gamut
of
what
we
do
here
and
also
is
one
of
our
voices
into
not
only
envan
our
regional
partner,
but
also
into
speaking
with
our
delegates
directly
about
what
our
needs
are
in
Arlington.
So
that
may
or
may
not
change,
but
I
just
wanted
to
introduce
that
to
you
as
a
way
that
we
move
forward.
A
I
I,
think
that's
it
for
me.
So
I
will
be
quiet
and
we'll
move
on
to
the
nomination
and
election
of
the
chair
and
vice
chair.
So
not
very
you
know.
Some
people
were
a
little
shy
about
this,
but
I
am
delighted
to
report
that
our
vice
chair,
William
Way,
has
put
in
his
name
to
step
up
and
become
the
chair
of
the
commission,
starting
with
the
next
meeting,
and
we
are
also
delighted
that
happy
Cameron
has
agreed
to
step
forward
as
the
vice
chair.
A
So
I
would
like
to
put
those
names
in
nomination
and
ask
if
there
are
any
other
nominations
from
the
floor
at
this
time.
A
Okay,
so
may
I
have
a
motion
to
close
nominations.
A
Thank
you
thank
you
and
seconded
okay,
all
in
favor
recommend
now
what
we
do
is
we
recommend
to
the
County
Board
that
they
name
these
individuals
as
chair
and
vice
chair
the
next
year.
A
A
A
Paul
is
saying
you
can't
hear
it
all
right,
so
we're
going
to
vote
first
on
the
chair,
all
those
in
favor,
of
recommending
that
the
County
Board
named
William
way
as
chair
of
the
Commission
on
Aging,
beginning
in
October
for
the
coming
year,
say:
aye
aye
aye,
all
those
opposed
any
abstentions,
all
right,
I!
Think
William
is
our
recommendation.
Going
forward
to
become
chair
now.
A
A
C
A
Excited
questions
but
okay,
so
we
do
have
two
Commissioners
who
have
completed
six
years
of
service
to
the
Commission
on
Aging.
D
C
A
Sure
folks
are
aware
of
the
issues
and
and
that
older
adults
are
out
here
so
Cheryl.
Thank
you
for
your
service
and
you
know,
hopefully,
that
you
will
stay
engaged
with
us,
we'll.
G
A
D
F
A
You
know
I
think,
first
of
all,
I
don't
know
that
we
could
have
a
better
voice
in
Cheryl
who
represents
us
both
through
our
Arlington
County
radio
station,
as
well
as
her
podcasts
and
television.
She
really
brings
the
issues
that
we
think
are
concerning
to
light
to
others
and
I
think
shares
our
message
with
a
broader
audience,
so
Cheryl
I'm
personally
gratified
and
hope
that
you
will
continue
to
sit
in
the
back
with
us,
and
so
thank
you
so
very
much.
Thank
you.
A
H
A
Far
as
the
guidance
on
leadership
among
the
legislative
and
elected
Community,
Herschel
I,
don't
know
of
another
person
who
is
more
in
touch
than
you
are
on
behalf
of
us,
and
our
issues
and
I
really
appreciate
your
study,
guidance
and
and
gentle
direction
that
you've
given
me
from
time
to
time
when
I've
been
a
little
off
face.
But
we
really
appreciate
that
and
hope
that
you
also
will
stay
involved
with
us
in
in
the
various
other
capacities.
A
C
Years
since
William's-
not
here
we
can,
we
can
share
all
of
the
hard
work
that
Linda
puts
in
behind
the
scenes
of
many
phone
calls
and
texts
and.
E
C
And
she
has
just
been
such
a
strong
advocate
for
the
Commission
on
Aging
for
older
adults
within
the
community,
speaking
at
County
board
meetings
meeting
with
the
County
Board
speaking
at
budget
meetings,
and
you
do
it
with
such
Grace.
She
led
this
commission
through
the
pandemic,
such
a
shift
to
Virtual
meetings
and
then
hybrid
meetings,
recording
meetings,
you
don't
have
to
record
meetings,
but
your
your
rates,
your
leadership,
your
compassion.
You
are
such
an
amazing
person
and
we
have
been
so
blessed
by
your
leadership
over
these
past.
C
A
So
when
it's
always,
you
are
an
admiration,
it
says
so
many
of
us
and
I
remember
when
and
now
you
have
completed
so
many
years
of
doing
the
leadership
route
for
us
and
just
advocating
I
know
that
you
hold
very
dear
advocacy
for
arlingtonians
and
those
especially
vulnerable
populations
and
the
transition
that
you
made
from
being
the
director
executive
director
of
Culpepper
Gardens
to
serving.
A
A
A
Everyone
here
in
the
room
all
of
you
online
and
to
be
together
again
this
morning,
I
hope
you
all.
D
Had
a
good
August,
Break
I
know:
September
came
around
quickly
for
me,
so
I
imagine
it
did
for
some
of
you
as
well,
but
it
is
good
to
be
back
together
and
and
back
to
work
on
these
issues.
I.
A
Have
just
a
couple
of
updates,
first
of
all,
I
feel
like
a
broken
record.
A
A
couple
numbers
for
the
County
fiscal.
A
The
first
so
two
months
worth
of
data,
the
team
has
already
seen
over
1800
contacts
into
the
adrc
57
shelter
requests
and
they
have.
They
have
fielded
requests
for
over
two
hundred
thousand
dollars
to
prevent
evictions
and
or
keep
utilities
up
and
running.
So
the
volume
does
continue
to
be
high.
If
we
keep
up
at
this
pace,
we
will
exceed
what
we
did
last
County.
D
Fiscal
year
and
it
you
know,
the
staff
is,
is
just
doing
their
best
to
to
be
able
to
keep
up
with
that.
We
do
have
a
Social
Work
intern
in
the
adrc.
C
E
A
The
vicap
team
is
gearing
up
for
open,
enrollment
and
Charlie
Sabatino.
One
of
our
commissioners
is
also
a
volunteer
with
vicap
Mike
Schuster
is
here
from
the
Alexandria
Commission
on
Aging,
but
he
is
a
VI
cap
volunteer
for
Arlington.
So.
C
They
might
and
so
open.
D
Their
Outreach
events
are
going
to
be,
where
they're
going
to
do
events
in
the
community
to
to
Really
connect
with
our
hard-to-reach
community
individuals
and
make
sure
that
they
have
equal
access
to
the
free
counseling
that
is
available
through
my
cap,
and
so
you
know
just
really
excited
that.
That's
on
its
way
and
extra
Graces
will
be
asked
for
the
bicap
team
starting
next
month.
So
they
are
very.
A
Very
busy
we
have
two
more
Farmers
Market
pop-up
markets
for
the
rest
of
the
season.
The
first
one
is
this
week:
September
21st
at
Hunter's,
Park.
D
We
have
about
20
people
signed
up
to
attend
the
farmers
market,
and
we
all
know
that
a
few
more
people.
D
A
D
Two
to
three
at
these
communities,
if
you
want
to
come
out
just
reach
out
to
me,
I'll,
give
you
more
details.
E
A
D
A
The
street
across
the
state
I
mean
sorry
across
the
state
has
been
approved
as
part
of
this
budget.
We
don't
know
exactly
how
much
additional
funding
we'll
be
getting
this
year,
but
just
very
excited
to
know
that
there
will
be
some
additional
funding
coming
to
support
the
agencies
on
Aging
and
I.
Believe
that
is
all
my
updates.
Are
there
any
questions
for
me.
C
All
right,
good
morning,
everyone,
it's
good
to
see
you
all
I'm
in
the
in
the
room
and
virtually
it
is
hard
to
believe
that
we
are
in
September,
but
I.
Think
some
of
the
leaves
falling
in
the
colder
temperatures
from
and
pumpkin
slice
reminds
us
that.
E
C
Bomb
I
do
want.
There's
there's
many
special
events
that,
during
the
month
of
September,
one
that
I
really
do
want
to
highlight
is
September
is
suicide
prevention,
Awareness
Month,
and
just
this
this
past
year
the
national
hotline
to
access
Services
changed
to
988.
C
So
if
you
know
of
anyone
who
may
need
services
or
supports,
please
do
promote
that
information.
That
number
older
adults,
especially
older,
adult
males,
are
some
of
the
highest
risk
groups,
so
just
taking
a
moment
to
educate
yourself
about
some
of
the
resources
and
being
sure
to
pass
those
along
to
anyone
who
might
need
it
again.
That
number
is
nine.
Eight
eight.
A
How
is
the
county
connected
with
988
when
they
get
calls
from
older
adults
and
connecting
them
to
Local
Services?
Is
there
a
direct
connection
with
the
with
those
you
know,
I
think
their
Regional,
those
who
are
answering
the
988
call.
C
Yes,
yes,
so
many
of
those
will
go
directly
to
Emergency
Services,
we'll
connect
to
Emergency
Services.
C
All
of
our
law
enforcement
are
I,
think
the
most
of
our
law
enforcement
are
Crisis,
Intervention
trained
as
well,
and
then
Virginia
launched
the
Marcus
alert
system
within
the
last
year,
I
believe
and
so
there's
also
coordination
among
Behavioral
Health
mental
health,
the
hospital
law
enforcement
programs
Services
as
well,
and
then
one
highlight
that
Arlington
just
and
we
can
share
some
information
about
this,
but
Arlington
just
launched
most
the
mobile
Outreach
support
team,
and
that's
that
you
know
law
enforcement
police
were
the
ones
who
were
often
going
out
to
many
of
these
mental
health
emergency
calls.
C
There
now
is
a
mobile
Outreach
support
team
that
we
can
actually
invite
the
team
to
speak
at
a
future
meeting,
but
that's
a
local
initiative
and
we
can
share
some
information
with
everyone
after
the
meeting
a
great
question.
Thank
you.
Something
else.
That's
really
exciting.
Is
the
housing
Choice
voucher
program
or
also
sort
of
known
as
Section
8,
the
waiting
list
in
Arlington
opened
September
13th.
It
lasts
through
September,
23rd,
I,
I,
think
as
of
Friday.
They
were
all
already
close
to
12
000
applications.
C
Now
this
is
a
federal
program,
but
we
really
are
encouraging
Arlington
residents
to
apply
so
anyone
who
might
have
the
local
housing
Grant
somebody
who
might
really
benefit
from
this
program.
It
is
an
online
application.
It's
very
brief,
but
we're
really
encouraging
everyone
to
who
might
qualify
to
apply.
It
will
then
be
a
lottery
system
where
5,
000
individuals
will
qualify
for
a
voucher,
and
that
is
a
voucher
that
is
portable,
so
that
can
you
can
take
that
anywhere
in
the
United
States,
but
the
last
time
this
opened
was
20
well.
C
Be
great
and
I
served
on
the
planning
team,
so
I
actually
know
the
answer
for.
F
C
But
in
2012
it
was
a
first
come
first
served
basis,
and
so
you
know
for
anyone
who
was
here
in
2012,
we
had
to
wake
up
at
1201
midnight
and
apply,
but
for
individuals
who
technology
may
be
a
barrier
access
to
Internet,
especially
you
know,
11
years
ago,
English
may
not
be
a
first
language.
There
were
a
lot
of
barriers,
so
there
was.
There
was
a
sentiment
that
this
is
a
more
Equitable
option
and
there
will
be
priority
based
on
specific
categories
for
individuals
of
of
all
of
the
applicants.
C
Thank
you,
I
think,
that's
very
helpful
and
then
just
a
few
more
updates
is
how
I
mentioned
the
Aging
and
Disability
Resource
Center
is
continuing
to
see
housing
and
homelessness
as
a
great
need.
We
are.
We've
been
working
with
our
housing
and
homelessness
Continuum
of
Care,
and
thank
you
all
for
your
advocacy
of
attending
the
listening
sessions
at
the
library
in
the
community.
C
Older
adults
have
been
elevated
to
a
to
a
Target
category,
a
focus
category
within
the
Continuum.
We
are
also
launching
a
homelessness
amongst
older
adults
task
force.
This
group
will
meet
on
Monday
September
25th
at
10
A.M
on
teams.
If
anyone
is
interested
or
passionate
about
this
topic,
we
are
inviting
stakeholders
from
throughout
the
community,
but
also
some
of
our
national
stakeholders
to
really
weigh
in
on
this
issue
and
what
potential
Solutions
might
be
and
again
another
shout
out
to
Cheryl
and
aging
matters.
C
She
hosted
Yolanda
Stevens
as
well
as
Catherine's
skiba,
to
focus
on
this
issue
on
a
recent
aging
matters.
Episode
and
there's
hope,
I
know
every
time
we
come
before
you.
We
share
that.
There's
a
growing
need,
but
there's
also
hope.
There's
some
Creative
Solutions,
it's
just
being
able
to
work
together
to
to
identify
their
Solutions
and
Implement
them.
J
C
Short
answer
to
that
is
that,
but
that's
a
great
question.
We
work
very
closely
with
legal
services
in
Northern,
Virginia
and
but
I.
Think
Staffing
is
a
constant
Challenge
and
with
such
a
great
volume,
their
staff
usually
will
try
to
be
on
site
at
the
courthouse
when
they,
when
the
notices
are
served,
but
just
because
of
staffing
issues
they're
not
always
able
to
do
that.
C
We
do
work
closely
with
them
that
we
receive
a
list
of
who's
on
the
docket
to
try
and
do
prevention,
but
Legal
Services,
I
think
just
with
the
need
it's
hard,
it's
hard
to
be
able
to
keep
up.
Thank
you
and
then,
and
Helen
mentioned
you
know.
We
we've
been
working
all
of
our
programs
within
our
our
division
within
the
Department
of
Human.
Services
has
been
working
on
performance
measurement
plans
and
so
having
data
to
really
tell
the
story
and
the
impact
of
our
work
as
she
shared
you
know.
C
We've
been
tracking
shelter,
referrals
and
from
20
to
22
to
2023.
We
saw
an
uptick
of
80
of
shelter,
referrals
for
adults,
60
and
above
our
Adult
Protective.
Services
team
has
seen
an
increase
of
97
of
the
individuals
served
from
2022
to
2023
and
we
love
to
come
and
share
some
of
the
data
in
a
future
meeting
with
you
all.
But
all
of
our
programs
have
been
working
on
some
of
those
metrics
and
that
directly
feeds
into
sort
of
budget
season
as
well,
and
then
just
the
last
thing.
C
I
wanted
to
update
everyone
on
we've
been
working
very
closely
with
the
Carlin
one
of
our
independent
living
residences
for
older
adults.
Helen
and
I
have
gone
out
met
with
a
number
of
the
residents.
We've
had
some
listening
sessions
and
we
are
still
working
very
closely
with
the
residents
with
the
Carlos
Corporate
Offices,
which
is
rhf
as
well
as
staff
from
Community
planning
and
housing
development.
But
we
still
have
a
need
for
someone
to
serve
on
a
resident
council
at
the
Carlin.
We
have
staff.
C
We
have
our
friends
from
afac
from
the
food
bank
who
are
interested
in
serving
I'd
love
to
have
somebody
from
neighborhood
Village,
but
really
just
building
up
the
resident
Council
so
that
we
can
address
some
of
the
challenges
that
we're
seeing,
but
also
ensure
that
some
of
these
issues
do
not
continue
into
the
future
that
the
residents
have
a
voice
as
well.
So
if
you
are
interested,
please
let
me
or
I'm
going
to
know,
but
it's
it
promise.
C
A
All
you
do
just
a
brief
announcement.
Rachel
mentioned
the
Carlin
and
some
of
you.
A
A
A
D
A
F
A
But
thank
you
for
the
questions
in
terms
of
Aging
and
Disability
Services.
It's
very
active
there's.
A
But
for
our
community
service
board
programs,
which
entails
developmental
services,
the
rat
program
and
the
senior
adult
mental
health
program
so
for
the
developmental
Services,
we're
very
excited
to
launch
a
grand
opening
of
a
net
zero
home
for
individuals
with
exceptional
medical
and
support
needs.
1212,
Irving,
Street
anybody
familiar
with
1212,
Irving
Street,
maybe
even
living
in
the
community
will
have
a
grand
opening.
A
D
D
A
Wrap
program
there's
been
some
transitions
with
leadership
and
I'm
pleased
to
announce
that
shandia
Johnson,
Dr,
Scandia
Johnson,
who
you
all
know,
has
stepped
into
the
interim
program
director
position
for
raft.
We
had
Alice
Striker,
retire
on
June,
29th
and
so
she's
Dr
Johnson
is
learning
and
supporting
the
rap
team,
and
we
will.
I
F
A
The
nban
legislative
breakfast
to
just
acknowledge
wrath
the
years
of
it
being
serving
the
region
in
terms
of
a
diversion
program
for
older
adults,
not
to
be
placed
in
psychiatric
hospitals
but
coming
back
to
their
community.
So
we'll
be
launching
that
video
for
any
of
you
that
are
attending
the
in-ban
legislative
breakfast
on
Wednesday.
I
can't.
A
B
B
A
F
A
You
probably
did
it
for
the
rap
dementia
program
or,
while
we,
you
know,
wrapped,
has
expanded
to
wrap
dementia
and
good
at
launched
in
January.
So
we'll
also
be
highlighting
that
55
and
over
by
the
way,
yeah
I,
think
755
and
upper
I'll.
Send
that
to
you,
because
I'm
pretty
sure
I
had
shendia
as
my
guest
and
I
remember
her
differentiating
the
different
kinds
of
programs,
it
might
have
been
Sydney
Sydney.
G
A
That's
all
that
happened.
Thank
you
all
right,
well,
wrapped
has
been
a
great
program,
I
served
for
a
time
at
csb
and
they
are
very
loyal
to
the
program
and
it
does
help
to
keep
people
out
of
that
institutionalization.
A
Thank
you
and
look
forward
to
that
at
the
end
van
breakfast.
Okay,
any
other
comments
or
questions
for
Helen
Rachel.
A
All
right
see
none.
We
are
going
to
begin
a
discussion
now
of
looking
at
next
five
years
at
aarp's,
age
friendly
and
what
we
think
we
want
that
to
look
like
in
Arlington
Virginia
and
the
leadership
of
Cynthia,
Davis
and
Erica
has
been
Paramount
to
our
success
and
I
just
want
to
acknowledge
that
their
work
in
this
area
has
made
us
look
really
good
and
and
we're
very,
very
grateful
and
look
forward
to
their
leadership
in
the
coming
years.
A
They
are
looking
to
have
more
of
us
involved
in
some
of
those
roles,
but
I
will
turn
it
over
to
them
now
or
kind
of
a
recap
and
look
forward.
E
A
D
Oh
slides
and
I'm
trying
to
start
playing
the
ground.
D
So
you
might
hear
a
lot
about
w-h-o,
but
here
in
the
United
States
it's
administered
through
AARP
and
they
have
what
what
they
call
the
n-a-f-s-c
the
network
of
age,
friendly,
States
and
communities
so,
but
we've
had
gopher
that
I
wanted
to
say
a
word
about
the
important
age.
Friendly
ARP
also
talks
a
lot
about
livable
communities
and
if
you
go
on
their
website,
they're
sweet
they're,
almost
interchanging
they're,
getting
lots
of
changes
on
disability.
They
have
lots
of
changes
on
each
regular.
A
D
Appeal
to
it,
and
recently
when
I
was
working
with
the
ability
advisory
position,
you
know
they
kind
of
prefer
the
term
livability
and
I
think
that
that
may
be
true
of
some
families.
D
D
D
F
A
D
County
or
States
a
great
place
to
live
with
people
of
all
ages
and
ARP
really
puts
two
months
old
behind
that
often
webinar
resources
and
they
have
a
point
person
at
the
beach
in
the
state,
ARP
office
and
so
on.
Arp
also
has
an
age-friendly
index,
and
so
that's
how
do
we
score
on
age,
friendly
and
livability
teachers.
D
A
D
A
I
D
Okay,
so
here
eight.
D
Workability
and
so
the
arph
friendly
concept
was
built
around
eight
millions
of
the
building
and
I
think
that
this
is
actually
an
interesting
slide,
because
it
shows
the
a
in
terms
of
the
built
environment.
D
A
But
we've
sort
of
that
some
of
that
touches
on
at
the
same
in
transportation
and
then
for.
D
The
social
environment
we
kind
of
come
on
combine.
A
D
E
D
And
on
some
of
that
got
sort
of
vacated
a.
I
A
Turn
up:
okay,
there
is
the
the
b
h
friendly
community
means
you
work
with
this
five-year
cycle,
which
is
basically
a
strategic
plan
cycle
who
recognize
this
I'm
sure
you've
all
done
this.
A
A
Then
you
create
your
plan
and
then
you
have
years
three
through
five
who
have
three
years
to
implement
and
evaluate,
and
then
it
starts
over
again
where
we
are
right
now
is
year:
five
we
did
the
plan
in
the
beginning.
This
is
the
one
we
got
approved
in
2018.,
and
then
we
did
our
five
year
report
that
we
just
turned
in
in
June.
So
what
we
do
now
is
we
start
over
again.
A
A
F
A
Slide
so
what
we,
what
you
you
will
need
to
do.
This
is
work,
but
it
will
really
pay
off
in
terms
of
focus
and
movement.
I.
Think
you'll
find
as
you
work
in
your
committees.
It
will
help
you
decide
what
you
need
to
put
your
attention
on
during
the
year
and
I
want
to
stress.
This
is
a
strategic
planning
thing.
You
can
change
as
you
go
along.
A
You
can
set
these
goals
and
then
say:
wait
they've
been
working
so
well,
and
if
you
look
at
the
five-year
report
you
will
see,
that
is
exactly
what
we
did.
We
said,
and
sometimes
we
couldn't
do
that
because
of
the
pandemic.
Sometimes
an
issue
came
up
that
we
had
not
expected
so
think
of
this
as
flexible,
but
still
a
way
to
structure
your
work
as
you
move
forward.
A
So
as
you
go
back
to
your
committees,
the
first
thing
you
really
will
want
to
do
is
look
at
your
section
of
the
original
plan
and
especially
these
little
charts
that
said,
goals
and
objectives,
tests
and
timelines.
Look
at
those
and
look
at
the
five-year
report
where
we
said
how
did
that
work?
We
did
this.
We
didn't
do
that
so
and
have
that
discussion
about
what
worked?
What
didn't?
What
did
we
miss
that
we
should
have
thought
of
so
how
should
the
goals
and
objectives
change?
A
A
Remember
that
a
goal
is
the
broad
outcome
that
you
want,
so
it
might
be,
for
example,
to
get
changes
in
Polish
positive
changes
in
policy
in
a
particular
area.
The
objective
is
the
measurable
way
that
you're
going
to
move
forward
to
that.
A
So,
if
your
goal
is
the
change
in
policy,
the
first
objective
might
be
to
make
a
list
of
what
are
the
ones
you
need
to
change
and
the
second
one
might
be
which
groups
do
we
need
to
engage
with
to
do
them
and
then,
once
you
do
that
you'll
be
prepared
to
start
doing
deadlines
and
timelines
so
think
about
those
first,
as
Linda
pointed
out,
you
want
to
think
about.
How
is
this
committee
structure
working
for
you?
A
Do
we
need
new
committees,
different
committees,
the
commission
reorganized
to
to
around
the
domains
and
forms
of
the
Committees
around
the
domains?
You
might
say
we
have
had
an
awfully
broad
thing.
We
need
a
subcommittee
or
we
need
to
split
into
two
committees,
or
these
two
committees
need
to
work
jointly.
So
you
might
think
about
recommendations
in
that
area
as
well.
A
Then
I
think
you
want
to
think
about
what
kind
of
issues
came
came
along
that
you
had
not
expected
that
I
think
in
the
housing
one
Missy
middle
was
starting
to
come
along,
but
I
think
they
were
maybe
quite
prepared
for
what
it
was
going
to
look
like
or
how
it
so
are
there
other
things
on
the
horizon
that
UIC
coming
like
the
issue
of
homelessness?
Exactly
both
for
your
committee.
A
Are
there
things
that
are
going
to
become
really
really
important
and
long-term
care
committee
actually
is
now
one
of
them
that
we
didn't
foresee.
But
now
you
need
to
do
the
same
kind
of
thing
and
then
there
are
overarching
issues
that
everyone
one
might
need
to
think
about.
Housing
might
want
to
think
about
the
homelessness
issue,
but
it
may
impact
some
of
the
other
groups
as
well
when
the
when
the
age
friendly
group
talked
about
this
among
the
overarching
issues
or
the
emerging
issues
that
they
suggested
might
arise
or
will
climate
change
is
it?
A
A
Does
it
raise
human
issues
like
the
the
scam
for
against
elderly
people,
that
that
the
civic
participation
group
has
been
talking
about
lgbtq
issues
when
you're
talking
about
Outreach,
for
example
or
housing?
Do
you
want
to
think
about?
Are
there
issues
that
are
particular
to
these
groups
and
obviously
Equity
issues
across
the
board?
A
Health
Equity
is
really
really
important
and
equity
for
minority
groups,
specifically
in
the
area
that
you
are
working
in,
so
try
to
have
that
discussion
as
you
frame
your
plan
for
the
next
five
years.
Well,.
F
F
A
Do
we
want
to
go?
What's
how
do
we
frame
that
discussion?
Then
we
had
a
suggested
timeline.
The
next
slide,
when
the
age
friendly
group
talked
about
how
to
get
ready
by
next
June.
We
came
up
with
a
timeline
that
basically
has
triggers
every
couple
of
months
so
that
no
one
would
really
fall
behind,
and
you
would
know
that
you
would
have
done
what
you
need
to
do
to
keep
moving
forward
these.
Basically
the
what
looked
like
deadlines.
There
are
their
end
of
the
month,
but
it
could
certainly
be.
A
It
happens
at
the
commission
meeting
that
month
where
each
committee
does
their
update
and
report.
That
might
be
a
good
time
to
do
some
of
this.
So
what
we
were
suggesting
was
we're
having
that
September
discussion
now,
obviously,
in
November,
the
Committees
would
present
their
proposed
new
goals
and
objectives
for
their
domains,
so
that
the
rest
of
the
commission
kind
of
react
and
say:
oh
that
makes
sense
the
by
February,
having
done
your
goals
and
objectives
and
kind
of
nailed
those
down.
A
You
would
start
on
the
draft
of
this
chart
revised
we're
going
to
look
at
that
and
see
if
we
can
simplify
it
a
little
bit
for
you
for
the.
But
basically
this
is
where
you
say:
here's
our
goal:
here's
our
objective!
Now,
here's
the
actions,
the
tasks,
the
deadlines,
the
people
that
would
be
involved
with
us,
the
people
who
will
need
to
work
with
and
what's
the
result
we
expect
to
come
out
of
that.
That's
your
outcomes.
A
Okay,
then
I
should
wear
my
glasses
up
here
tonight
after.
A
Yes,
I've
been
in
April
and
compared
in
Massachusetts
in
April.
You
would
have
your
complete
draft
plan
with
the
goals
and
objectives
the
tests
and
the
deadlines
and
the
outcomes
from
every
committee.
So
we
have
the
overall
plan
for
discussion,
permission
to
discuss
and
then
in
June
we'd
get
that
all
whipped
into
shape,
and
we
and
we
submit
it
in
May.
A
A
So
to
keep
my
questions
about
processor
and
as
Erica
said,
we
want
to
be
clear
that
the
the
age
friendly
task
force
is
not
a
maker
of
the
plan
or
the
owner
of
the
plan
we're
process
people.
What
we're
here
for
is
to
make
sure
everyone
just
kind
of
knows
what
they
need
to
do
and
keeps
moving
forward.
The
commission
is
the
owner
of
the
plan
and
the
commission
committees
are
the
ones
who
design
it
and
do
the
substance
and
do
the
implementation
and
the
evaluation.
A
What
we
do
is
we
help
out
and
we
make
sure
we're
doing
what
AARP
needs
that
we're
meeting
their
deadlines,
that
we
send
things
in
for
approval,
that
we
send
resources
to
you
where
we
know
why
ARP
has
and
that
we
are
a
resource
Group
for
you.
We
have
on
the
age
friendly
task
force
a
liaison
to
each
of
the
Committees
It's,
usually
the
co-chair,
but
whoever
the
committee,
whoever
is
appropriate.
Someone
sitting
on
the
committee
who's
willing
to
be
part
of
the
task
force.
So
we
make
sure
that
we
have
that
connection.
A
C
Questions
yeah
more
just
a
comment
again,
thank
you
so
much
Cynthia
and
Erica
just
for
your
leadership
and
how
much
work
you've
imported
into
this
and
I
think
the
timeline
for
me
is
is
ideal.
You
may
is
also
order
Americans
month
and
one
of
the
things
that
we
did
back
when
the
plan
was
initially
approved
is
at
that
time
myself.
C
A
A
Participating
fully,
but
we've
talked
about
this
as
being
a
County
plan.
The
county
is
the
community
in
volunteer.
Do
we
want
to
involve
any
of
the
county
commissions
like
the
Housing
Commission?
Would
I
go
to
them
and
ask
them
because
I
was
at
their
meeting
last
week
and
they
do
talk
about
older
adults,
and
so
they
do
have
a
stake
in
them.
That's
a
really
good
point.
Thank
you
for
that.
A
Not
only
obviously
we
work
with
AAA,
and
but
this
is
a
plan
for
Arlington
County.
That
and
so
that's
one
reason
you
identify
your
partners
in
your
plan
and
things
and
yes,
I,
think
absolutely.
A
Think
I
think
that's
a
wonderful
question
if
I
may
add
on
Cynthia,
Cindy,
Schneider
and
I
went
to
the
Housing
Commission.
Oh
so
many
years
go
so
I
think
if
you
do
work
tangentially
with
any
of
the
other
commissions,
it's
a
great
place
to
also
solicit
information,
as
you
propose
and
goals
and
see
how
you
can
be
in
Partnership
or
a
supportive
of
each
other.
So
I
think
that's
a
great
question.
I.
D
D
The
whole
Community
is
that
includes
the
business
sector
through.
A
A
You
would
work
hard
about
that.
Yeah
and
I
did
not
mention
that
and
you
might
want
to
look
back
at
the
path
planning
that
we
did
as
well
with
some
of
those
just
yeah,
well
that
we
were
already
doing,
but
some
of
the
more
new
ideas
that
you
might
want
to
talk
about.
One
of
the
things
we
noticed
when
we
did
The
Five-Year
evaluation
and
it
got
writing
up.
That
report
was
how
much
better
we
had
gotten
at
Partnerships
and
Outreach
because
of
people
working
on
these
particular
things
and
I.
A
Think
you
want
to
make
sure
that,
as
you
do
your
planning,
you
think
very
specifically
about
four
our
appropriate
Partners.
We
I
mean
we
started
to
have
seats
on
the
board,
with
other
seats
on
other
commissions
or
seats
at
the
table
and
discussions
and
participation
and
other
kinds
of
projects,
and
you
want
to
make
sure
you
find
ways
to
make
that
happen
and,
as
Erica
mentioned
out
to
the
Chamber
of
Commerce,
might
be
one
of
the
things
you
think
about
or
other
business
Works
in.
A
So
those
could
be
possibilities
for
funding
to
think
about
that
as
well.
Cheryl,
one.
F
A
That
also
I
think
that
this
commission,
that
he
probably
needs
to
think
about,
is
really
what
the
role
of
communication
and
information
is
I
mean
I'm
going
off
the
commission
now,
but
for
the
last
six
years
we
had
this
Pio
committee,
which
had
two
objectives.
One
is
getting
the
word
up
whatever
that
means,
and
then
the
second
of
course
objective
is
the
community
ambassador
program.
F
A
You
know
is
an
entity
in
and
of
itself,
but
communication
and
information
applies
to
every
single
one
of
the
domains.
So
I
think
as
you
this,
commissioner,
who
was
forward.
What
exactly
does
that
mean?
Is
there
segment
of
communication
and
information
that
belongs
to
housing,
the
transportation?
To
help
to
you
know
the
p-a-I-e
or
whatever,
that
other
committee,
which
I
can
never
get
in
the
initial
strength?
But
I
guess
I
I'd
be
curious
to
know
what
other
plans
throughout
the
country
actually
do
in
that
particular
domain?
F
A
E
A
Of
a
part
of
it
as
what
we
said
about
the
legislative
committee,
it
touches
everyone
exactly
and
you
want
to
make
sure
that
you
say
we're
going
to
touch
base
with
them.
Here
we're
going
to
ask
for
this
kind
of
information
we're
going
to
provide
this
kind
of
it.
So
it
might
be
that
there
are
some
concrete
things
that
still
maybe
belong
in
a
separate.
The
senior
ambassador
program
of
the
community
engagement
Forum,
the
the
revision
of
the
presentation
on
the
county.
A
C
I
was
just
going
to
add
you
created
when,
when
the
listening
sessions
happen
for
the
first
plan,
there
was
a
list
of
questions
that
whoever
was
going
to
the
various
Community
commissioned
and
advisory
groups,
Civic
associations,
and
so
that
was
I
think
really
helpful,
because
it
also
provided
some
consistency
in
the
questions
but
Variety
in
the
responses.
So
that's
right.
That
might
be
something
helpful
to
share.
We
had.
A
A
little
PowerPoint
that
you
could
take
out
and
said:
here's
what
age
friendly
is
we
need
to
hear
from
you
about
what
you
think
it
is
and
it
we
had
a
version
for
going
to
other
commissions,
and
then
we
had
one
for
going
to
community
groups
I
think
so
that
could
be.
That
could
be
quite
useful
to
work
on
as
well.
So.
A
J
That's
just
on
the
table
at
my
house
and
I
walked
by
it
every
year.
I'm.
B
Sorry
I
didn't
bring
it.
How
did
that
fit.
A
In
was
that
the
path
yeah
that
was
the
cat,
you
know,
I,
don't
think
we
tied
those
together.
Well
because
we
you
know,
we
did
that
yeah
I
think
it's
a
great
thing.
It
was
a
great.
It
was
a
great
experience,
but
I
don't
think
we
all
wanted
to
say
it.
But
how
is
this
going
to
fit
with
what
people
are
doing
in
age
friendly?
And
so
this
would
be
a
great
thing
too,
but
I
think
ways
we
could
absolutely.
D
H
A
Came
which
it
had
not
come
up
in
them
right,
I
think
these
These
are
always
moving
targets
right.
So
this
is
a
chair.
The
reason
there
is
this
cycle
is
your
chance
to
step
back
and
say:
what
did
we
miss?
What
did
we
do
well
that
we
want
to
go
next,
and
this
is
a
real
opportunity
to
sharpen
your
vision
that
way,
and
so
the
Committees
just
got
just.
D
To
bring
this
sort
of
downhill
practical
level
over.
I
D
Next
couple
of
months,
I
mean
scheduled
in
your
committee
meetings,
scheduling
some
time
to
talk
about
the
golden
objectives.
That's.
F
F
A
Yeah,
if
it's
really
what
you
want,
it's
by
I
think
November
to
have
some
draft
ones
that
you're
comfortable
with
that
you
can
discuss
with
people
and
that'll
be
the
first
stage
of
going
forward.
Kathy,
yeah
I'm,
just
curious.
You
mentioned
one
of
the
domains
to
help
domain
and
maybe
like
expanding
on
that
one
in
particular,
because
it
is
part
of
the
community
supports.
A
F
A
A
And
there
was
the
destination
2027..
So
basically
what
happened
was
we
put
that
in
and
said
we're
going
to
work
with
destination
2027?
It
won't
necessarily
be
our
project,
but
we'll
make
sure
we
have
a
liaison,
but
I
think
that
destination
2027
got
kind
of
derailed
by
the
pandemic,
and
then
the
commission
realized.
We
need
a
long-term
care
committee
and
there
are
things
that
came
up
there.
So
then
that
terrain
looks
quite
different
than.
A
Think
it
really
my
moment,
your
group's
going
to
want
to
talk
about
that,
but
I
think
in
general,
people
might
want
to
talk
about
where
you
overlap
with
Health
Equity
questions
and
things
like
that.
I,
don't
think
it
was
enough
to
hand
it
over
to
somebody
else
and
say
we'll
see
how
they're
doing
so,
yeah
I'm.
Also
thinking
about
you,
know
Partnerships
that
you
were.
F
A
F
A
Other
questions
just
occurs
to
me:
we've
talked
about
this
a
little
in
housing,
but
I,
don't
think
it
belongs
in
housing.
That's
the
issue
of
food
security
and
could
that
end
up
being
on
the
plate
of
Health?
Yes,
yeah,
they're,
interesting
I,
just
don't
like
long-term
carers
to
take
on
everything.
There
could
be
another,
although
if
you
want
to
yeah
there
could
be
another
committee.
That's
one
of
the
structural
questions
that
Linda
was
talking
about.
William
and
Kathy
will
want
to
talk.
A
But
that
is
really
Rising
I've
taken
and
upon
myself
to
do
a
little
bit
of
homework,
I'm
meeting
with
with
Kate
and
some
of
the
leadership
at
Virginia
Hospital
Center
later
this
week
and
I'm
looking
into
Pace
and
also
a
couple
other
things
just
make
quick
Health
to
see
how
you
know
what
our
tools
are
for
our
older
adults
in
Arlington
and
that's.
A
This
is
just
a
personal
exploration,
because
I
have
felt
that
that
was
a
need
that
was
more
appearing,
especially
as
we
hear
more
issues
related
to
homelessness
and
Healthcare
and
individuals
who
are
leaving
the
hospital
system
and
where
do
they
go
and
how
are
they
being
treated
and
so
on?
So
it
will
yeah.
But
anyway,
so
I
will
report
back
that
I
get
more.
A
Would
just
take
it
one
step
further
and
I
looking
at
Kate
here
too,
it's
not
only
Health,
it's
Wellness
yeah
yeah,
so
it's
so
huge
in
fact,
again
in
terms
of
Asian
managed
programs.
Most
of
them
are
health
and
wellness,
that's
usually
the
biggest
category,
so
it
could
spread
across
several
minutes.
You
know
the
wellness
part
might
be
part
of
the
participation
and
engagement
thing
it
doesn't.
A
You
don't
have
to
have
one
huge
community
that
takes
on
everything,
but
so
that's
a
thing
that
William
and
Kathy
will
have
to
think
about
as
well
as
you
guys.
As
you
look
at
your
goals
and
objectives,
you
might
want
to
make
some
recommendations
along
those
lines
and
and
feel
free
also
to
say
this.
This.
We
think
this
is
important,
but
we
don't
think
this
is
a
part
of
our
committee,
because
I
think
you
can't
take.
A
You
know
quite
off
more
than
you
that
you
don't
keep
goals
that
you
know
they've
been
there
done
that
sort
of
thing,
but
we
we
are
in
a
whole
different
world
post,
post
coven
as
the
population
ages,
and
we
have
seen
more
homelessness
and
health
and
security
through
insecurity.
So
it's
time
to
make
that
pivot,
where
necessary,
yeah
and
I.
Think
that's
a
good
point.
D
We
don't
want
our
eyes
to
be
bigger
than
our
stomachs.
We
you.
H
D
We
all
want
everything
done
and
it
would.
F
D
A
Along
together
and
think
about
rolling
it
out,
a
time
too,
you
focus
on
something
the
first
couple
of
years
and
then
have
a
later
timeline
for
something
else
to
to
rise
up
is
importance.
If
you
get
that
first,
that
you
know
think
about
stages.
Can
I
ask
a
question
also,
because
I
think
Cheryl
made
a
really
good
point,
and
that
is
that
we
have
a
lot
of
issues
and
concerns
about
health
and
wellness.
We
also
have
a
lot
of
programs
on
health.
F
A
And
well
I'll
work
on
that,
but
I
think
so.
Committees
can
be
working
on
their
goals
and
objectives
now
and
we'll
work
on
the
on
the
chart,
but
that's
really
tests
and
timelines.
So
that
can
be
further
down
the
line.
If
you
need
help,
you
do
have
a
liaison
to
your
committee
and
we
are
always
very
happy
to
help
and
talk
to
the
other
committees
as
well
about
how
they
did
things
but
I.
Think
if
you
look
what's
here,
you
can
also
see
online
the
other
age
friendly
communities.
A
A
F
A
I
I
guess
one
other
question
I
have
for
you
all
is
has
to
do
with
the
idea
of
the
listening
session.
Is
it
comfortable
for
each
committee
to
choose
that
they
might
want
to
go
out
into
different
audiences
and
ask
I?
Know
Transportation
has
probably
been
the
leader
in
this
gym
about
going
to
different
communities
and
hearing
what
their
concerns
are.
Do
you
have
any
early
on
advice,
because
I
would
think
that
would
be
an
early
part
of
this
new
planning
process
is
getting
out
into
the
community
in
some
way.
A
You
know
at
least
I
think
some
of
the
Committees
already
have
those
purchase
bills.
Unlike.
D
But
then
beyond
that
is
reaching
out
to
me
to
the
new
groups
that
have
my
requirements.
A
F
A
B
F
A
I
C
A
F
A
Very
difficult
and
we
we
have
been
able
to
reach
them
to
some
extent
with
the
55
centers.
But
even
there
you
get
a
limited
audience,
yeah
and
I
think
you
will.
I
was
going
to
mention
that
there
are
a
couple
of
organizations
in
retirement
that
meet
on
a
regular
basis
and
perhaps
we
can
tap
into
them,
but
because
many
of
those
are
folks
who
are
aging
in
place,
but
I
think
that
you're
right,
that's
a
very
tough
one
and
I
think
the.
A
Associations
are
not
going
to
be
the
answer
to
that
either,
but
and
as
as
we,
if
you
make
an
inroad
into
an
audience
that
you
think
is
important
if
you'll
share
it
with
us,
so
that
we
have
the
benefit
of
your
suggestions,
be
really
quite
helpful.
Some
of
them
may
be
Faith
oriented,
I,
I'm
thinking
of
Brenda
Cox
at
Lomax.
She
is
an
amazing
person
has
been
having
a
program
one
Saturday
a
month
for
20
some
years
and
I
think
they're
going
to
be
talking
about.
A
Oh
fall
prevention
at
this
meeting
and
her
audience
is
much
Beyond
just
the
church
anymore.
So
we
do
have
that
that
opportunity
as
well.
Okay,
thanks
so
much
it
kind
of
is
stimulating
and
scary.
At
the
same
time,
okay,.
F
G
Yes,
I
do
this
is
Claire
Jacobson
I'm
on
the
phone
go
ahead.
Claire
Cynthia
Davis
gave
an
excellent
presentation
to
the
narcy
Arlington
chapter
seven
a
while
ago
and
I
think
that's
probably
an
organization
where
we
can
present
again.
You
know
later
on
this
year
and
say
here
we
are
again
either
Cynthia,
Davis
or
Erica.
Come
back
to
the
narfi
chapter,
7
Arlington
and
say
here
we
are
again
we're
restarting
a
plan.
Do
you
have
any?
Do
you
have
any
input?
G
I
think
that
would
be
one
group
that
probably
because
most
of
those
members,
including
myself,
are
retirees
and
are
getting
older
somewhere,
some
more
than
others.
So
the
the
narcy
chapter
7
would
be
a
good
organization
to
keep
in
mind
for
later
on
this
year,
when
things
have
gelled
up
a
bit
more
and
alert
them
that
we
are
redoing
a
plan.
Thank
you.
G
A
G
Also,
if
I
know
Wendy
is
on
the
call,
also
maybe
presentations
to
to
anv
as
well,
because
those
are
people
who
are
trying
to
age
in
place
through
help
from
volunteers
from
AMV.
So
that's
another
Wendy,
sorry
for
stealing
your
thunder,
but
that's
another
organization
that
probably
would
be
good
to
hear
from
because
they
are
trying
to
age
in
place.
E
A
Thank
you
very
much,
yeah
and
I
think
that
that's
really
quite
good
advice
and
we'll
we'll
hear
from
Wendy
a
little
bit
later.
That's
okay!
Thank
you.
Thank
you!
So
much
we're
going
to
move
any
other
comments
from
Commissioners
who
are
online.
A
A
I
just
want
to
give
you
an
update
on
our
last
meeting.
We've
been
involved
in
a
number
of
different
topics
and
the
first
on
my
list
is
Universal
Design,
which
Eric
is
going
to
give
us
an
update
on.
So
if.
D
You
want
to
sure
so
I'll
just
make
this
brief.
So,
as
you
know,
and
as
I
mentioned
earlier,
we've
been
working
on
Universal
Design
checklist
for
site
plan,
product
Planning,
Commission,
site
plan,
review,
Family,
new
multi-family.com
unit
development
projects
that
come
through
and
we
had
an
opportunity.
D
A
couple
of
weeks
ago,
preliminary
to
going
out
to
the
Housing
Commission
and
going
back
to
the
cold
Planning
Commission,
and
they
they
printed
out
to
us
I,
guess
how
they
love.
They
love
the
idea
of
checklists
and
but.
D
J
D
D
A
A
A
I'm
going
to
be
a
role
player
here,
taking
that
checklist,
if
Roland
is
going
to
serve
as
the
liaison
for
Clarendon
Presbyterian
churches
Redevelopment
taking
that
list
and
providing
it
to
them
and
say
this
is
what
we'd
like
to
see
in
your
senior
housing
is
kind
of
what
that
Planning
Commission
is
suggesting.
Is
that
correct
yeah
so
that
they'll
be
they'll,
be
consistency
in
their
priorities
because
they
said
what
they
were
saying
was
one.
D
A
See
the
other
thing
if
I
may
so
any
affordable
housing
is
going
to
go
not
only
through
our
own
staff
here
in
Arlington
County,
but
they're,
probably
going
to
apply
for
tax
credits,
and
so
the
organization
that
used
to
be
called
Virginia,
Housing
development
of
Authority
or
Virginia
Housing
I
think
it
is
today
who
allocates
those
credits
so
that
affordable
housing
can
be
built.
They
have
a
whole
lot
of
Staff
who
come
and
make
inspections
and
do
various
things.
Then
that
might
be
ultimately
an
audience
of
interest
in
informing
them.
A
A
F
A
Actually
attended
that
virtually,
unfortunately,
the
housing
committee
meeting
last
week
because
it
went
to
the
10
o'clock,
which
is
past
my
bedtime
yeah,
and
they
gave
a
presentation
on
bonus
density
that
I
thought
was
very
interesting.
I'm
going
to
talk
about
tomorrow.
It's
the
housing
commission's
website,
all
of
the
handouts
from
last
week
are
now
posted.
F
A
I
would
suggest
taking
a
look
at
that
I
learned
that
it's
the
County
Board,
not
the
Housing
Commission,
that
negotiates
things
like
that
bonus
density
and
whether
it's
going
to
be
money
and
how
much
money,
and
so
the
Housing
Commission
can
be
on
our
side,
and
we
could
certainly
talk
to
them,
but
they
somebody
has
to
get
through
to
the
board
each
time
and
remind
them
and
stay
in
their
face,
so
to
speak,
to
make
sure
that
they
understand
the
issues.
A
In
connection
with
your
report,
Audrey
I
was
reminded
when
Eric
was
stood
up
about
that
movie,
that
video
that
we
had
like
what
was
it
about
six
years
ago
about
that
I'm,
a
Universal
Design,
whatever
happened
to
that
I
mean
for
a
while.
It
was
really
popular
and
I
thought
it
was
really
good.
In
fact,
I
used
it
one
time
and
I
was
just
wondering
how
that
actually
got
started.
D
Housing
committee
had
that
in
in
our
age
pregnant
plan
too.
A
D
On
the
website,
and
so
the
housing
committee
at
that
time,
you
know-
was
planning
a
whole
distribution
and
then
Along
Came
the
pandemic,
and
that
was
one
of
the
items
that
the
housing
did
not
do
and
might
be
on
their
plate.
Yet
now.
A
Yeah
I'm
hoping
that
once
we
clear
this
for
new
development
that
we
take
this
on
as
one
of
the
ways
to
keep
people
in
their
minds,
it's
very
important
to
aging
at
home.
That's
very
important
to
me:
I
think
it's
a
more
attainable
goal,
because
people
are
have
a
more
vested
interest
in
listening
to
us
if
it
means
they
can
stay
in
their
own
homes
and
when
we
talk
about
single
family
housing.
I
want
to
make
sure
that
we
understand
that
that
includes
conducts
that
are
owned
any
unit
where
somebody
has
control
over.
A
Is
little
Standalone
houses
and
it's
not
the
universe
that
we're
looking
at
so
Universal
Design,
the
home
ownership
study
county
is
doing
a
large
home
ownership
study.
You've
all
gotten
a
letter
in
the
package
from
Helen.
It's
a
letter
that
we
are
designing
for
the
County
Board
to
talk
about
the
issues
that
we
think
are
specifically
important
to
older
adults,
and
they
include
things
like
the
real
estate
tax
relief
and
are
interested
in
getting
that
reviewed.
A
I
have
a
couple
copies
of
the
letter,
but
one
of
the
things
I
would
like
to
do
today
is
go
answer.
Anybody's
questions
on
the
letter
see
if
we
can
get
preliminary
approval
of
it.
Rachel
also
sent
me
a
couple
comments
like
yesterday,
so
they
are
not
Incorporated
but
I
think
there
are
points
that
need
to
be
incorporated.
A
It's
pursuant
to
the
third
goal,
which
now
is
the
second
goal
for
or
the
fourth
goal,
but
anyway
it
moves
around.
We
have
to
get
that
stabilized,
but
they
just
changed
the
gold
numbers
last
week.
Okay,
but
it's
a
goal
related
to
homeownership
and
tax
relief.
A
Very
few
I
want
to
say
was
23
26
were
granted
deferrals,
which
means
that
when
the
house
is
sold
or
the
ownership
passes
to
a
different
person,
that
money
is
recouped
and
597
were
granted
full
exceptions,
exemptions,
if
that
was
reversed,
more
of
that
money
could
be
used
to
assist
more
older
adults
and
stay
in
their
homes.
If
that
money
got
reprogrammed
that
way.
A
A
So
that's
in
this
letter,
condom
association
fees
and
assessments
are
increasing
pretty
dramatically
in
some
cases,
which
is
putting
a
lot
of
pressure
on
people
with
fixed
income
and
we're
looking
we're
asking
the
board
to
look
at
whether
there
are
ways
to
assist
with
that
and
to
provide
governance,
help
with
governments.
J
A
J
Does
the
county
ever
combined
exemption
and
deferral
say
you
know
one
example
of
it
so.
A
A
Three
comments,
one
of
which
is
that
we
said
that
the
issue
was
not
about
purchasing
homes,
but
her
older
adults.
It
was
about
staying
in
their
homes
and
she
points
out
that
some
people
do
actually
buy.
Condos
they'll
sell
their
house,
buy
condos
or
move
into
the
area
to
be
with
family
and
buy
homes,
and
so
we
need
to
make
sure
that
we
don't
exclude
that
from
our
list
of
concerns.
C
Rachel,
do
you
wanna
yeah,
tell
me
about
them,
because
I
yeah?
No,
no,
that's!
Okay!
So
with
the
with
the
letter,
the
first
one
was
around
sort
of
the
the
statement
of
the
ability
to
purchase
a
new
home
is
not
a
concern
for
the
County's
older
adult
population,
and
so
it
was
really
just
inspiring.
Is
that
referencing
income
access
options?
C
So
maybe
just
Clarity
around
that
statement
that
you
know
in
the
in
the
most
recent
Arlington
County
profile,
the
average
condo
is
valued
at
460
000.
So
thinking
about
even
people
who
you
know,
if
you
have
a
home
in
this
area,
you
can
downsize.
But
for
individuals
who
are
looking
to
live
here
to
be
closer
to
family,
a
500
000
condo
purchase
could
be
a
challenge,
so
maybe
just
Clarity.
On
that
statement.
C
The
second
thing
around
the
real
estate
tax
relief-
really
just
you
know,
shared
that
update
with
Amy
yorzek,
who
men
oversees
the
County
real
estate
tax
really
program,
but
also
including
this
in
listening
sessions
of
talking
with
individuals.
I
think
there's
close
to
over
900
individuals
who
participate
in
the
real
estate
tax
billing
program,
and
so
just
including
this
in
the
listing
section
so
that
we
get
feedback
from
individuals
who
participate
in
this
program
as
well
and
then
I
think.
C
The
last
thing
that
I
I
commented
on
is
it
may
also
be
really
integral
to
include
the
cost
of
home
ownership
and
the
loss
of
income.
So
when
there's
unemployment
that
happens
an
unexpected
illness,
the
loss
of
a
spouse
and
a
second
income,
they
all
may
lead
to
defaults
on
mortgages
and
inability
to
pay
property
taxes
which
could
lead
to
homelessness.
C
And
these
are
some
of
the
individuals
that
we're
seeing
and
coming
through
our
aging
and
disability
resource
center,
and
so
also
just
shared
a
few
stats
that
I'm
going
to
shout
out
to
Michael
Schuster,
who
we
helped
draft
the
northern
Virginia
aging
Network
background,
but
included
just
some
stats
on
homelessness,
Rises,
where
individuals
are
housing
costs,
burden
and
in
Arlington,
65
percent
of
renters
spend
30
or
more
of
their
income
on
housing
costs
for
homeowners.
C
A
That's
what
I
was
going
to
ask
good
question:
what
is
your
time
frame
Audrey?
So
my
time
frame
is
we
don't
know
when
the
County
Board
is
going
to
be
talking
about
this
I
was
under
the
impression
it
was
going
to
be
in
the
meeting.
That's
the
23rd
of
September.
A
A
So
if
somehow
or
another
I
would
like
to
be
able
to
have
assigned
An
approved
letter
in
hand,
would
it
be
appropriate
for
you
to
revise
the
draft
to
include
some
of
the
points
that
Rachel
has
and
we
distribute
it
to
the
committee
for
approval
and
we'll
give
a
deadline
date,
and
that
way
we
will
have
the
letter
we'll
submit
it
through
Libby
who
takes
it
then
to
the
county
board
our
way
back
and
we
won't
have
to
be
caught
in
that
kind
of
limbo?
Is
it
in
this
meeting
or
next
meeting?
A
Would
that
make
everyone
more
comfortable?
It's
a
little
hard
I
I!
Don't
disagree
with
anything
that
is
being
said
to
be
part
of
the
letter,
but
it
would
be
nice
to
see
it
in
context.
How
do
we
feel
about
that?
What
is
the
thought
if
we
are
okay,
approving
it
by
email?
It
works
for
me,
I
think
it's
cleaner,
okay!
So
the
letter
the
email
probably
should
come
from
me
is
that
and
and
the
feedback
to
me.
A
So
if
you'll
get
the
letter
to
me,
I
will
send
it
out
to
all
the
Commissioners
and
ask
them
to
take
several
we'll
give
you
several
days
to
review
it
and
vote
via
email
and
then
based
on
that
feedback.
We
will
then
prepare
it
on
the
proper,
letterhead
and
I.
Think
I
get
it
to
you
and
you
send
it
to
Libby.
Is
that
okay?
Oh
no,
you
send
it
to
Libby,
but
we
have
to
have
it
approved
through
our
leadership.
First:
okay!
Yes,
all
right!
Okay,.
E
C
A
A
It's
I've
got
a
big
house
if
I
can
get
deferral.
That
is
a
great
thing
for
my
heirs
and
the
one
thing
I'm
getting
on
the
question
is
a
great
thing,
but
the
deferral
keeps
you
in
your
home,
which
is
what
we're
focused
on
exactly
what
I
would
question
is
I.
Don't
think
we
can
say
that
the
funds
that
come
in
should
you
know,
would
encourage
them
to
be
used
for
some
of
the
growing
need
in
programming
for
older
adults,
but
I.
A
Don't
think
we
can
say,
take
this
money
and
put
it
over
here.
I.
Don't
think
we
have
that
right.
It
just
comes
into
the
general
fund
and
I.
Think
that's
true.
You
know
of
all
the
funding
but
I
think
with
bringing
up
the
data
points
that
Rachel
mentioned
it's
it's
demonstrating
that
the
need
is
growing
and
obviously
we
recognize
that
the
resources
are
limited,
but
here
is
a
resource
that
that
could
help
defer
to
that
increasing
me
right
now.
A
A
F
B
Know
whether
or
not
the
money
gets
gets
transferred.
A
I,
when
I
would
perhaps
suggest
is
that
that
sentence
just
be
run
a
little
bit
to
say
to
include
the
fact
that
we
have
a
growing
older
adult
population
with
growing
needs
or
some
you
know
something
like
that
and
yeah.
F
A
A
Does
anybody
want
to
have
that
comment
with
Audrey
right
now
give
her
the
benefit
of
your
thoughts.
A
Is
pushing
for
more
affordable,
assisted
living
and
that's
going
to
mean
working
with
Developers
and
I
have
to
start.
We
have
to
start
really
identifying
new
residential
development
as
it
comes
up
and
working
with
the
housing
committee,
commission
and
potentially
the
board
to
say
when
you're
negotiating
with
these
buildings
keep
assist,
living
and
affordable
living
in
mind.
A
Assisted
Living,
affordable,
assisted
living
is
becoming
an
issue
because
there
is
a
lack
of
it
and
I
was
at
a
Housing
Commission
meeting
recently.
Where
the
issue
came
up,
you
know
we
can
provide
the
unit,
but
it's
the
ongoing
costs.
We
can't
figure
out
how
to
factor
right
now,
so
we're
going
to
continue
to
look
at
opportunities
building
by
building.
You
know
bonus
density
can
be
an
opportunity
for
them
as
well.
So.
F
A
You
thank
you
any.
You
have
been
very
busy
and
in
spite
of
all
your
travels
and
so
on,
so
thank
you
so
much.
Thank
you
for
all.
You
do
any
comments
for
Audrey
before
we
move
on
so
we'll
be
looking
for
the
revision
I
will
send
it
out,
ask
for
your
vote,
get
it
to
Helen,
Helen
will
get
it
cleared
and
then
we'll
send
it
to
Libby
and
we'll
hope
to
do
that
before.
Certainly
the
October
County
board
meeting
okay
next
is
legislative
and
we
have
a
date.
A
Commission
activities
agreed
to
the
leader
moderator
again,
is
it
virtual
or
in
person.
B
B
J
F
A
B
B
A
A
B
A
A
All
right
there's
a
motion
that
we
send
the
end
van
platform
with
these
items
and
there's
a
quite
extensive
background
papers
for
each
topic
to
the
county
board
for
their
interest
and
education,
and
also
we
sent
it
to
the
our
liaison
our
legislative
liaison
as
well
is
that
is
your
motion.
Is
there
a
second
okay?
A
Thank
you.
Any
discussion,
yes,
Audrey!
Will
there
be
a
cover
letter
that
sort
of
helps
them
Focus,
because
giving
them
too
much
information
is
as
bad
as
not
giving
them
any
and
I'm
wondering
if
we,
if
you
can
pull
out
a
few
of
the
issues
that
you
think
are
the
most
actionable
for
the
board
and
put
those
front
and
center,
rather
than
it
just
be
an
FYI.
B
Into
their
package
that
they
send
us
to
the
legislature,
so
I
mean
it's
a
separate
issue.
What
what
we
might
want
to
could
because.
A
Will
be
formally
adopted
next?
Is
it
this
week
or
next
week,
Wednesday
breakfast,
so
this
will
be
officially
revealed
on
Wednesday
on
Wednesdays.
So
would
it
be
appropriate
to
send
a
copper
letter?
You
can
say
that
I
I,
whoever
seems
to
be
the
most
appropriate
and
say
this
Mission
chair
at
the
time.
Okay,.
D
A
I'll
send
a
cover
letter
and
say
this
has
been
formally
adopted
and
we
are
encouraging
the
County
Board
to
include
it
in
the
legislative
package
going
forward
from
Arlington
County
is
that
is
that
what
we're
asking?
Yes,
okay,
can
no.
F
A
E
A
F
A
Opposed
all
right,
anybody
abstaining,
okay,
all
right!
So
after
the
breakfast,
we'll
I'll
work
with
Herschel
we'll
get
a
letter
going
on
and
we'll
get
it
to
I
guess
it
has
to
come
back
to
Helen
and
then
it'll
go
to
Libby
and
the
county
court
records.
A
Okay,
any
other
questions
of
Herschel
right,
I
am
going
to
I.
Think
you
even
more
with
the
new
chairs.
Okay,
all
right
I
will
work
with
Anthony
and
Roland.
Then,
on
that,
okay,
if
anybody's
going
to
the
breakfast
and
needs
a
ride
and
wants
to
come
with
me,
let
me
know:
I
am
going
okay
moving
on
it's
out
in
Fairfax
at
some
countries,
long-term
care
residences.
A
D
A
J
The
movie
Forward
Coalition
is
a
coalition
funded
Barbara
John,
a
Harford
Foundation
that
came
out
of
the
National
Academy
of
Sciences
nursing
home
qualities
report,
which
came
out
in
April
of
2022,
with
several.
J
Worrisome
findings
about
the
state
of
nursing,
home
care
in
the
U.S
and
several
recommendations
around
it's
built
around,
not
seven
different
goals
and
the
moving
forward
Coalition
was
created
to
bring
a
bunch
of
smart
and
influential
people
together
to
try
to
come
up
with
plans
to
carry
out
Implement
those
those
recommendations
of
the
National
Academy
of
Sciences
and
so
I
did
have
an
overview
presentation
of
the
Coalition
policies
work.
J
What
those
recommendations
were
and
what
the
committee
amazing
come
up
with
in
terms
of
action
plans,
they
actually
produce
nine
different
action
plans.
This
is
all
online
too.
If
you
go
to
moving
forward.
Coalition.Org
and
I
am
one
of
the
co-chairs
of
one
of
the
action
plans
that
focuses
on
the
the
built
environment
of
nursing
homes
and
financing
nursing
homes,
which
is
focused
on
downsizing
nursing
homes
and
moving
it
towards
a
small
household
model
which
you've
heard.
J
Susan
Ryan
gave
a
presentation
to
the
long-term
care
committee
and
also
spoke
at
through
the
engagement
Forum.
So
you've
probably
heard
the
greenhouse
project,
which
she
heads
up
and
that
model
is
something
that
we
really
feel
is
a
need
to
incentivize
throughout
the
country,
because
the
nursing
home,
the
traditional
nursing
homes
facility
stock,
which
are
three
standing
nursing
homes,
are
generally
very
old
in
Arlington.
The
most
recent
one
built
that
we
have
is
1980.,
and
then
there
are
large.
J
J
That's
that's
a
particular
interest
of
mine,
also
and
I
think
I
hope
to
bring
that
up
as
a
age
friendly
plan
too,
because
you
know
our
three
nursing
homes
in
Arlington.
All
in
August
are
a
great
one
star
out
of
the
five-star
federal
post
system.
You
can't
go
any
lower
in
the
new
one
Stars
and
that
has
been
pretty
consistent
over
over
time
too.
J
So
our
nursing
homes
are
freestanding
nursing
homes,
the
three
of
them
in
Arlington
are
not
age
friendly
and
there's
things
that
we've
can
think
about
doing
at
the
local
level,
which
we
haven't
thought
about
before,
because
mainly
we
think
of
nursing
homes
as
being
regulated
by
the
federal
government
by
the
state
and
that's
their
issue,
not
ours,
but
I
think
there
are
things
we
can
do.
A
Okay,
thank
you.
Thank
you,
my
moon
and
thank
you
Charlie
moving
on
positive
aging
and
inclusion.
Neither
link
nor
Andrea
is
with
us
today,
but
they've
sent
a
report.
A
The
the
walking
School
Bus
that
they're
calling
U.S
bus
started
once
again
at
Oak
Ridge.
They
have
26
passengers,
eight
drivers
and
two
subs
and
of
the
passengers.
17
are
new
students
walking
along
to
school,
and
so
this
is
the
way
that
older
adults
can
partner
with
parents
and
children
and
walk
to
school
safely.
Pretty
exciting
and
there's
a
lot
of
enthusiasm.
So
we're
grateful
for
that
model
and
hope
it
branches
out
to
other
schools.
Then
the
chair
of
the
alliance
for
Arlington
senior
programs.
A
There
is
an
internet
access
pro
project
for
older
adults.
22,
low-income
seniors
have
signed
up
for
three
classes
at
the
Apex
which
I'm
not
familiar
with
in
Columbia
Grove,
and
there
are
our
instructors
and
they
make
twice
a
week
for
six
weeks
and
the
graduates
will
receive
a
computer.
Last
year
there
were
71
students
supplied
with
60
computers
who
qualified
and
those
are
older
adults.
So
that's
great
news
and
one
of
the
areas
where
there's
really
been
some
improvement
on
access
for
older
adults
and
the
internet
world,
so
that
is
their
report.
A
I'll
move
on
to
Cheryl
with
public
information
and
Outreach.
Yes,
I
checked
with
Carlos
I
guess
the
next
Pio
meeting
is
October,
23rd,
I,
guess
they're
skipping
them
on.
Usually
it
was
in
September,
but
I
guess
it's
October
and
I
was
going
to
defer
to
in
Wendy
Zanker
to
talk
about
the
community
ambassador
program
thanks
Cheryl,
so
the
investor
program
is
underway.
As
you
saw
the
age
friendly
update,
we
were
lucky
to
get
funding
so
the
program.
You
know
it's
always
an
issue.
A
Everybody
can
have
a
good
idea,
but
until
you
get
somebody
who's
going
to
run
it
and
read
it,
it's
just
a
good
idea.
So
we
were
able
to
get
funding
that
permitted
us
to
hire
Michelle
McMahon
as
a
part-time
program
officer.
She's
got
a
student
for
marionette
who's,
helping
her
we're
going
around
and
gathering
information
on
programs
and
services.
It's
turning
out
to
be
a
little
bit
more
of
a
challenge
than
we
expected.
A
You
know
it's
interesting
people
don't
want
to
really
promote
their
programs
and
services.
Though
we've
got
a
large
Excel
file,
we're
about
to
sign
a
contract
with
a
designer
so
that
we
can
produce
the
handbook
and
it
can
look
good
and
do
something
with
an
update.
The
idea
is
to
go
over
the
beta
version.
A
You
know
get
something
out
there
get
people
reacting
to
it,
get
feedback
and
then
enhance
and
make
it
better
in
the
following
year.
So
things
are
moving
along.
We
haven't
started
recruiting
volunteers,
yet
we
want
to
have
the
candle
get
in,
so
we
can
actually
show
them
a
product
and
tell
them
what
they'll
be
doing
and
that'll
just
be
an
idea,
so
that
that's
where
we
are
good
progress,
good
good
leaders.
A
F
A
A
Yes,
we
had
a
quarterly
meeting.
Last
week
we
had
a
presentation
by
Nate
Graham
Des
talking
about
South
George
Mason
Drive,
multimodal
study.
Despite
the
late
the
of
the
title,
it
was
an
excellent
presentation.
He
does
a
really
good
job.
B
F
A
Us
is
that
he
admitted
that,
even
though
the
study
is
being
completed,
it's
not
all
not
casting
country,
there's
a
trade-offs
to
be
made
and
they
will
be.
We
also
discussed
three
projects,
the
Outreach
project
and.
I
J
A
Calera
and
I
presented
the
program
to
to
the
Carlin
Apartments
the
next
day.
They
were
very
enthusiastic
had
a
lot
to
say
we're
very
supportive
of
Arlington's
transportation
system,
but
they
also
had
some
complaints
that
I
I
jotted
down.
That
gives
us
six
different
kind
of
organizations
or
our
residences
that
we
have
been
to
and
throwing
into
that
Hopper
the
three
Community
exchange
forums.
We've
got
a
lot
of
comments
and
I'm
trying
to
scramble
all
of
those
and
put
it
put
them
in
a
report.
B
For
you
and
I'll,
send
it
out
might
want
to
send
it
to
the
to
the
County,
Board,
I
I.
Think
there's
some.
A
Interesting
insights
in
in
there
so
you'll
see
Jim,
Easter
and
I
attended
the
the
Langston
Boulevard
Plan
update
a
lot
going
on.
There
has
been
a
lot
going
on
there
for
a
long
time
and
it's
all
looks
for
grabs
first
time,
the
first
time
they
start
negotiating
with
the
developers.
This
is
the
first
time
the
plan
changes
right.
A
We
we
also
talked
about
age,
friendly
and
Erica
and
and
Cynthia.
You
will
be
happy
to
know
that
Joan
is
bludgeoned
me
into
agreement
on
that.
So
we
will.
We
will
have
it
and,
in
fact,
I
think
we're
kind
of
ahead
of
the
game,
because
we've
already
done
a
lot
of
our
of
our
Outreach.
I
A
The
from
the
Transportation
committee
Outreach,
we
put
together
some
proposed
actions
as
kind
of
a
a
sequence
of
importance.
A
F
A
Don't
know
how
you
can
solve
that
problem,
but
we
certainly
can
with
lowering
the
bus
walking
is,
is
a
is
a
big
area
of
concern.
The
crossing
sign
enforcements,
for
example,
especially
those
that
are
audible
or
those
who
have
a
problem
seeing
we
did
get
a
name
on
that
Josh
Nicholas.
He
is
working
on
that
problem
and
we're
going
to
contact
them.
Jim
sent
me
comments
also
from
the
bike
and
pedestrian
safety
group
and
and
they're
signed
up
for
it.
A
Also
I
I
won't
go
into
all
of
this,
but
that's
kind
of
where
we
are
you
see
Anthony,
you
have
your
hand
raised.
Did
you
have
a
question.
H
I
did
thanks:
Helen,
hey
Jim
I
had
a
question
regarding
the
Langston
projects.
I
I
know
a
while
back
I
mentioned
or
I'd
asked.
If
anybody
from
the
Halls
Hill
Neighborhood
has
is
involved
in
that
process,
do
you
know
if
they
ever
looped
anybody
in
from
the
Halls
Hill
Neighborhood?
On
that
sorry,.
A
I
think
they
have
their
own,
they
have
their
own
Community
Association.
Is
that
right,
Anthony
yeah?
The
community
has
been
involved
in
that
for
years.
I
I,
don't
know
if
that
particular
group
has
been,
but.
A
Any
other
questions
of
Jim.
Thank
you.
So
much
for
this
I
think
you're.
The
breadth
of
the
coverage
that
you
get
to
share
the
concerns
of
older
adults
with
all
these
different
committees
is
pretty
remarkable.
So
we've
learned
a
lot
in
the
museum
as
well
as
your
Outreach.
Any
other
comments
there
for
our
working
groups,
we'll
now
move
into
liaison
reports.
A
I'm,
sorry
that
we're
running
about
15
minutes
behind
or
half
an
hour,
but
we'll
try
to
be
quick
age
friendly
Cynthia
did
you
have
anything
else
to
cover
I
think
we
had
ours,
say:
Okay,
a
55
plus
Andrea
she's,
not
with
us
today,
Jennifer.
E
G
E
Yeah,
just
real
quick
I
want
to
give
everybody
an
update
in
case
you
didn't
hear.
Over
the
summer
we
lost
our
director
at
Arlington,
Mill
Center,
shatim,
Abdul
Malik
took
a
job
in
Maryland,
so
we
have
just
actually
are
in
the
hiring
process
of
we've
offered
the
position
to
another
to
a
new
staff.
I
can't
share
any
of
the
information,
because
the
paperwork's
still
being
done,
but
hopefully,
by
this
time
next
month,
we'll
have
somebody
a
new
person
at
Arlington
mill
on
and
another
big
piece
is.
E
We
currently
have
a
job
opening
for
the
55
plus
operations
and
nutrition
supervisor.
This
is
an
important
position,
because
this
is
the
person
who
oversees
all
of
our
congregate
Mill
sites,
our
Social
Security
Plus.
Many
of
you
knew
Nick
England
in
the
past,
he's
taken
a
job
with
our
marketing,
our
Department's
marketing
unit,
so
I'm
looking
for
someone
that
job
is
posted
through
we'll
close
this
Thursday.
So
if,
through
any
of
your
lines
you
know
of
anybody,
please
send
them
to
the
County
website.
It's
posted!
So
that's
everything
I
have
thank
you.
Thanks,
Jennifer.
A
Thanks
for
all
you
do
and
the
great
programs
you're
rolling
out
any
questions
of
Jennifer.
Okay
link
is
not
here,
but
we
do
have
someone.
Do
we
have
any
Alexandria
news
that
you'd
care
to
share
with
us,
sir.
I
Well
well,
two
things
we're
working
on
our
final
evaluations,
leading
friendly
plan,
and
this
gives
me
the
incentive
to
go
back
and
finish
it
tomorrow.
I
I
To
put
that
in
front
of
the
city
council,
probably
in
the
next,
the
next
meeting
in
October
great.
F
A
A
For
Alexandria,
okay,
Wendy
you've
been
so
patient;
no
one!
That's
a
learning
exercise,
always
while
we're
here.
A
377
A
and
B
members
I
mean
that's
a
great
number.
We
are
gaining
about
10
new
members
a
year,
that's
an
increase
of
50
from
the
beginning
of
the
year
and
equally
something
that
we're
proud
of.
130
of
those
are
low-income
members,
so
you
know
part
of
what
we
did
during
the
pandemic
was
expand.
Our
made
our
discounted
membership
program
for
earlier
to
low
income,
so
it's
150
or
25,
or
even
zero
in
terms
of
membership.
A
So
that's
really
showing
great
benefit
and,
as
I
said
about
30
more
members
now
are
indeed
low
income.
When
you
look
at
what
we're
doing,
2600
Services
have
been
fulfilled
so
far
this
year,
of
which
1200
are
round-trip
rides.
So
a
lot
of
Transportation
going
on
a
lot
of
running
errands
and
doing
grocery
shopping
and
doing
ABAC
deliveries.
We
still
need
more
volunteers.
We've
got
a
good
in-type,
a
pipeline
of
volunteers,
but
never
enough
drivers.
F
A
Them
to
get
in
touch
with
us
when
you're
also
doing
an
all-hand
speeding
this
coming
Saturday.
We
did
a
great
survey
over
the
summer.
100
members
responded,
115
of
volunteers
responded,
so
we've
got
the
survey
results
and
we'll
do
it
all
hands
meeting
on
Saturday,
again
working
that
all
of
which
we'll
build
our
planning
process
for
24
and
Beyond.
Who
could
think
we're
saying
2024
already
foreign?
A
D
A
Thank
you,
Erica
steering
committee
on
older
persons,
Cheryl
yeah
I
was
not
able
to
go
to
the
meeting
last
Friday,
because
I
had
to
take
my
husband
to
a
doctor's
appointment.
A
So
I
don't
know
exactly
what
I
haven't
really
were
you
there
now
I
actually
wasn't,
but
the
next
meeting
is
in
November
and
it
will
be
the
annual
Medicare
update
so
yeah
and
I'd
just
like
to
kind
of
put
out
a
communique
here,
I
mean
the
steering
committee
is
for
services
to
older
persons
and
I
would
strongly
suggest
that
maybe
we
need
a
new
liaison
to
that.
A
Community
I
mean
since
I
I
mean
I
can
continue,
but
it
would
just
seem,
like
you
know,
at
one
time,
I
remember
that
committee
had
a
lot
of
people
to
be
represented.
Services,
you
know
and
I
don't
know
who's
coming
on
in
terms
of
the
tuition,
but
if
somebody
particularly
provides
Direct
Services
or
knows
more
about
it,
I
think
it
would
be
good
to
switch
a
liaison
and
have
somebody
else
do
it.
Besides
me,
I
mean
I'm,
just
not
the
right
person
liaison
sorry
I
put
that
out
to
Ellen.
F
A
Good
point
all
right,
any
questions
of
Cheryl
about
that.
I
have
not
been
to
one
of
those
meetings
for
quite
some
time,
but
it
is
a
mixture
of
service
providers
and
it's
very
useful
to
hear
what
their
thinking
is
too.
So
we'll
hope
that
maybe
you
can
train
somebody
up
and
move
aside
and
let
them
take
over
all
right,
any
old
business.
A
Any
new
business
I
in
closing
I'd
just
like
to
thank
you
all
for
your
support.
I
appreciate
it
and
I
have
enjoyed
being
the
chair
very
much
and
I
really
enjoy
being
a
regular
old.
A
Thank
you.
Thank
you
for
all
you
do
in
the
community
and
keeping
those
needs
of
older
adults
ever
present
in
their
minds.
I
appreciate
it
I
believe
we
are
adjourned
in
the
next
meeting,
we'll
be
here
on
October
16th
see
you
then.
