In this edition of Around Arlington, we take a look at the recent public design workshops for the Four Mile Run Valley initiative. We also pay homage to the 2016 James B. Hunter Human Rights honorees, drop in on Board Chair Libby Garvey's latest swearing in ceremony, and look forward to some holiday closings. With the year winding down, we look forward to the 2017 County Board Organizational meeting, which will take place on Tues., January 3rd at 6 pm in the County Board room at 2100 Clarendon Blvd.

Susan Bell is the retired Department Director for Arlington County Community Planning, Housing and Development. Bell worked for the County from 1983-2011 and oversaw some of the most dramatic changes in Arlington's history.
