From YouTube: Mitigation Strategies for All Organizations
Description
Excerpt from Arlington County Board Work Session of Dec. 8 2020.
A
I
want
to
remind
people
to
make
sure
that
to
make
sure
your
organization
can
implement
the
following
five
key
mitigation
strategies
consistently
and
correctly,
because
the
consistent
and
correct
use
of
masks,
social
distancing
to
the
largest
extents
possible
hand,
hygiene
and
respiratory
etiquette,
cleaning
and
disinfection,
and
even
though
I
it
says,
contact
tracing
in
collaboration
with
your
local
health
department.
If
there's
evidence
of
an
outbreak,
please
work
with
us,
because
we
want
to
learn
why
it's
happening
in
your
setting
that
there's
actual
transmission
in
your
setting.
A
Just
because
there's
an
exposure
doesn't
mean
there's
transmission,
but
if
we
determine
there's
transmission,
that's
what
qualifies
as
an
outbreak.
So,
if
you're
getting
tired
of
my
message,
I
hope
not
it's
that
consistent
and
correct
use
of
these
sorts
of
measures
that
will
help
in
all
settings
for
us
to
reduce
the
exposure
risk.
So
and
by
doing
this,
it
reduces
the
risk
of
exposure,
regardless
of
how
much
transmission
is
going
on
in
the
external
community
outside
of
your
organization-
and
I
plead
with
you
to
remember-
our
community
is
not
just
arlington.
A
It
is
the
national
capital
region.
Germs
do
not
respect
geographic
boundaries.
Our
employees
come
from
all
over
people
seek
out
all
sorts
of
things
across
the
national
capital
region,
and
so
we
need
to
remember.
That
is
why
we
talk
about
that.
Even
if
your
organizations
may
be
very
arlington
centric.
