Description
Arlington County Board Chair Libby Garvey suggests how we can all celebrate Thanksgiving safely.
A
Hi
thanksgiving
is
my
personal
favorite
holiday.
I
love
reconnecting
with
dozens
of
family
members
spanning
three
generations,
but
not
this
year.
Coven
19
cases
are
rising
and
we
all
need
to
think
about
how
to
modify
our
plans
to
make
for
a
safer
holiday.
Now
we
know
covid
spreads
mostly
in
the
air.
When
people
breathe
think
about
how
you
can
see
your
breath
on
a
cold
day,
it
goes
far
or
the
great
smell
of
turkey
roasting
in
the
oven
or
the
smell
of
smoke.
A
That's
how
easily
coven
19
spreads,
and
this
is
why
it's
so
important
that
we
all
continue
to
wear
a
mask
and
stay
at
least
six
feet
away
from
others
who
don't
live
with
us
and
it's
the
safest
way
to
help
celebrate
thanksgiving
this
year.
Think
about
it
is
to
stay
home,
traveling
or
gatherings
with
family
and
friends
whom
you
may
love,
but
who
don't
live
with.
You
increases
the
chances
of
covert
19
spreading.
A
A
I
know
this
all
sounds
a
little
strange
and
certainly
different,
but
it
also
sounds
like
the
way
to
keep
those
I
care
about
the
most
and
myself
safe
so
this
year,
we'll
create
new
family
memories
with
a
little
bit
of
planning.
Everybody
can
stay
well
and
safe
this
holiday,
even
with
the
pandemic.
There
is
a
lot
to
be
thankful
for
so
have
a
happy
and
safe.
