- Who can get their COVID-19 now as part of Phase 2?
- Is a driver's license or government issued ID needed to get your shot?
- I am under 18 and received an invitation for a Moderna clinic. Should I go ahead and schedule?
A
Hi
and
welcome
back
my
name
is
jessica,
baxter,
public
information
officer
for
arlington
county's,
public
health
division
here
to
answer
your
most
pressing
question:
who
can
get
their
covet
19
shot
now
that
we're
part
of
phase
two?
This
is
a
great
question
and
yes,
it's
true
arlington
county
and
the
state
of
virginia
have
moved
on
to
phase
two,
which
means
that
everyone
over
the
age
of
16
is
now
eligible
for
a
covet
19
vaccine.
This
is
a
major
milestone
in
the
fight
against
covet
19..
A
There
are
a
few
important
things
that
you
need
to
know
in
order
to
ensure
you
successfully
schedule
an
appointment.
We
ask
everyone
to
pre-register
through
the
vaccinate
virginia.gov
pre-registration
system.
This
ensures
you're
added
to
our
queue
and
we
pull
invitations
based
on
the
order
of
the
queue.
So
the
sooner
that
you
pre-register
the
sooner
you
will
hear
from
us.
The
second
option
is
finding
nearby
appointments
using
vaccinefinder.org.
A
This
includes
pharmacies
and
hospitals
as
well.
It's
important
to
note
that,
even
though
we
are
in
phase
2,
it
may
take
up
to
a
few
weeks
to
hear
from
us
as
there
is
overwhelming
demand
and
limited
supply.
So
we
ask
for
your
patience.
We
do
recommend
that
you
do
both
options,
pre-register
and
look
for
vaccinefinder.org
to
find
an
appointment,
and
you
can
do
this
all
using
the
vaccinate
virginia.gov
website.
A
Do
I
need
a
government
issued
id
or
driver's
license
to
get
mycovid19
vaccine
and
the
simple
answer
is
no.
You
do
not
need
a
government-issued
id
to
get
your
cova-19
vaccine.
However,
we
need
to
prove
it's
you
so
documentation
like
a
utility
bill,
an
insurance
card,
a
medical
card
or
a
pay
stub
work
just
as
well.
We
just
need
to
ensure
you
are
the
right
person.
A
I
am
under
the
age
of
18
and
received
an
invitation
for
a
clinic,
that's
18
and
over
should
I
go
ahead
and
schedule
well.
This
is
likely
to
happen
as
we
are
unaware
of
the
vaccines
that
we
will
be
getting
week
to
week.
What
we
do
note
is
we
note
in
our
emails
to
schedule,
appointments
if
clinics
are
18
and
over
so
please
make
sure
to
read
the
emails
carefully
so
that
you're
not
signing
up
for
an
18
and
over
clinic
if
you're,
16
or
17
years
of
age.
