A
Hi
and
welcome
back
my
name
is
jessica,
baxter,
public
information
officer
for
arlington
county's,
public
health
division.
Here
to
answer
your
most
pressing,
is
it
true
that
arlington
has
moved
past
pre-registration
to
open
scheduling
for
vaccine
appointments?
And
yes,
it's
true,
you
no
longer
need
to
pre-register
to
schedule
an
appointment
at
one
of
our
clinics.
You
can
simply
go
on
the
county
website
under
vaccine
scheduler
and
book
your
appointment.
A
A
Is
arlington
resuming
j
j
vaccinations
at
its
site?
For
those
that
don't
know
the
cdc
and
the
fda
met
on
april
23
to
discuss
lifting
the
pause
on
j
j
vaccination?
This
was
after
an
investigation
of
a
rare
but
severe
side
effect
of
blood
clots.
What
federal
officials
cited
was
that
the
benefits
greatly
outweighed
the
risks.
So,
yes,
arlington
county
will
be
resuming
j
j
vaccinations
in
the
coming
days.
We
will
note
the
slots
that
are
designated
for
j
and
j
vaccines.
A
I'm
in
the
16
to
17
years
of
age
group
eligible
for
the
vaccine.
Do
I
need
a
parent
with
me
when
I
get
my
shot
just
like
any
other
immunizations
for
children
under
the
age
of
18,
we
need
parental
consent.
So
please
come
to
your
appointment
with
your
parent
or
legal
guardian
so
that
they
can
grant
you
permission
to
get
your
free,
kovic,
19
vaccine.
