A
C
A
B
So
as
we
come
into
911
education
month,
one
of
the
most
important
things
that
we
want
you
to
know
is
that
we
have
a
whole
bunch
of
resources
available
to
you.
There
is
more
than
one
way
to
contact
police
and
fire.
We
have
911
si
text
to
911
and
online
reporting
they're
all
available
to
you,
depending
on
your
situation.
Yes,
cool.
A
So
we're
getting
questions
in
on
Facebook
and
we'll
be
answering
those
as
they
come
in
one.
That's
here
is
from
Susan.
She
asks
some
gps's
do
not
have
my
correct
location
when,
when
I
enter
my
address,
they
have
me
on
the
wrong
side
of
a
particular
Road.
It's
fun.
This
is
funny
big
I,
don't
care
if
the
pizza
guy
has
to
spend
a
few
more
minutes.
Finding
me
but
I'd
be
more
concerned
about
EMTs
finding
my
house
in
a
timely
manner
any
advice
for
a
caller
like
this.
Yes,.
C
That's
a
very
important
question.
So,
unlike
uber,
we
don't
have
the
ability
to
figure
out
where
you
are.
We
have
the
ability
to
figure
out
the
closest
cell
tower
to
you.
So
if
you're
calling
from
a
cell
phone,
we
don't
know
exactly
where
you
are.
If
you
can
give
us
an
address
or
if
you
don't
have
that
available
to
you-
maybe
a
street
that
you're
on
a
cross
street
the
closest
business,
any
resources
that
you
have
to
help
assist
us
in
figuring
out
where
you
are
will
be
better.
B
B
First
address:
first,
where
you
are
because
if
something's
happening
and
all
you
can
give
us
is
the
address-
and
you
hang
up
at
the
very
least
we
can
get,
somebody
started
your
way
absolutely
and
then,
after
that,
what's
going
on
your
name,
your
phone
number.
Those
are
all
questions
that
we
have
to
ask.
Where
are
you
what's
your
name?
What's
your
phone
number
what's
happening.
A
B
Happens
all
the
time
if
you
accidentally
dial
nine-one-one
just
stay
on
the
line.
Tell
us!
Let
us
know
it's
not
an
emergency
and
then
we'll
get
off
the
phone
with
you
right
away.
It's
absolutely
fine.
Most
of
us
have
done
it
at
some
point.
We
get
that
it's
embarrassing,
but
if
you
hang
up,
we
have
to
assume
there
may
be
an
emergency
and
we
will
start
calling
you
back
to
try
to
verify
that
which
means
other
people
who
may
actually
be
having
emergencies
have
to
wait
in
line.
While
we
call
you
back
yet.
A
C
One
resource
we
do
have
is
text
to
nine
one
one.
If
you
have
hearing
impairment
or
if
you're,
in
a
situation
where
you're
unable
to
make
a
phone
call,
because
it's
unsafe
for
you
to
speak,
you
can
always
text
us.
Let
us
know
the
address
first,
the
same
way,
you
would
do
on
a
normal
phone
call,
so
text
and
9-1-1
is
one
resource
that
we
do
have
and
all
of.
B
A
C
We
have
a
resource
called
voyons,
it
sorry
it's
our
language
line.
So
if
you
do
call
9-1-1
and
a
translator
you're
more
than
welcome
to
ask
for
one
immediately
and
we'll
provide
one
to
you
more
common
languages,
Spanish,
we
are
able
to
get
a
translator
on
the
line
within
a
matter
of
seconds.
But
if
you
have
another
language,
don't
be
discouraged,
still
call
us
and
we're
able
to
get
a
translator
for
you.
It
just
may
take
a
little
bit
longer,
but
just
be
patient
with
us,
and
we
do
have
all
the
resources
to
help
you.
C
B
A
So
another
decision
that
you
often
people
often
have
to
make
when
they're
thinking
about
calling
9-1-1
is,
does
this
particular
event
or
emergency
rise
to
the
level
of
9-1-1,
or
should
they
call
someone
else?
Where
is
that
line,
and
what
should
people
do?
How
how
should
they
decide
what
questions
should
they
ask
themselves
right.
B
So
I
understand
that
the
line
can
seem
sort
of
blurry,
sometimes
and
lots
of
times.
People
aren't
sure
if
something's
an
emergency
when
they're
calling
the
way
I
always
think
of
it,
is
if
there's
a
threat
of
harm.
If
somebody
might
be
hurt,
if
somebody
is
having
a
medical
emergency
like
trouble
breathing
their
unconscious,
if
there's
a
threat
of
harm
because
a
building
is
on
fire
call
911
on
an
emergency,
but
it
requires
attention
from
the
police
or
fire
department,
absolutely
call
the
non-emergency
number.
Do
you
want
to
give
them
the
non-emergency
number?
Yes,.
A
C
Just
to
kind
of
piggyback
on
the
answer
that
Morgan
just
provided,
if
you
are
seeing
something,
that's
active,
someone
is
in
danger
or
structures
in
is,
is
being
threatened,
always
called
9-1-1
and
we're
more
than
happy
to
assist
you.
If
this
is
the
ongoing
situation,
where
you
do
believe
that
police
assistance
is
required,
or
if
this
is
something
that
happened
a
couple
of
days
ago,
you
can
either
call
our
non-emergency
number
or
report
it
online,
so
write.
B
Reporting
online
is
a
great
resource
and
it's
on
the
police
department
website,
and
it
will
give
you
categories
of
what
exactly
you
can
report
online
late
thefts.
Somebody
you
saw
in
the
area
that's
suspicious,
but
was
gone
now.
Anything
like
that.
Absolutely
go
online,
you're
still
going
to
have
it
sent
to
a
police
officer
and
they'll
get
back
to
you
with
a
case
number
and
what
in
front
they
have
for
you
to
proceed
next.
Absolutely
a
question.
A
B
911
is
not
a
term
that
we
typically
use
up
here.
It
depends
on
what
you
mean
by
that
reverse
911.
If
you
mean
do
we
get
the
phone
number
and
whereabouts
it's
coming
from
then?
Yes,
we
do.
We
get
the
phone
number,
the
location
of
the
cell
tower
or
if
it's
a
landline,
the
address
that
it's
wired
to
and
then
we
have
the
ability
to
call
those
back
and
that
information
is
stored.
So
we
can
see
how
many
times
a
number
has
called
9-1-1
in
terms
of
text.
B
We
are
not
able
to
text
a
number
and
initiate
that
text.
We
have
to
receive
a
text
coming
inbound
first
right.
So
if
you're,
you
call
us
and
then
hang
up-
and
you
say
you
can't
speak,
we
can't
start
a
text
with
you,
but
reverse
9.
1
1
is
not
exactly
a
term
that
we
use
up
here
that
often
at
least
not
in
this
Center.
So
if
you
could
specify,
maybe
what
you
mean
by
that
absolutely
throw
it
up
there,
and
we
will
do
our
best
to
answer
that.
A
C
So
most
of
what
we
do
is
receive
911
or
non-emergency
phone
calls.
Once
we
receive
the
information
and
kind
of
determine
what
the
issue
is
or
what
we
need
to
address
and
respond
to.
It
is
dispatched
to
an
officer
to
a
medic
or
the
fire
department
and
we
send
their
correct
resources
to
the
right
location
and
so
throughout
the
call.
While
the
respondent
responding
units
are
addressing
the
issue,
we
kind
of
follow,
keep
track
and
provide
documentation
in
our
system
and
then,
after
that,
there's
additional
things
that
we
do
in
terms
of
doing
wanted.
B
Something
that
I
really
enjoy
in
terms
of
working
up
here
at
the
dispatching
Center
is
really
when
I
have
a
puzzle
to
sink
my
teeth
into
so
finding
somebody
whose
location
we
don't
have
they've
hung
up
things
like
that,
it's
fantastic!
So
when
you
solve
a
complicated
problem,
I
really
love
that
aspect
of
the
job
cool.
A
C
B
A
B
Absolutely
if
you
are
interested
in
a
city
long,
all
you
have
to
do
is
email
she's
in
charge
of
our
training
as
well.
Her
name
is
Cathy
Dawkins
C
Dawkins
at
Arlington
Va
u.s.
sets
CDA
wki
NS
at
Arlington
Va
like
Virginia
u.s.,
the
United
States,
and
she
will
be
more
than
happy
to
help
set
up
a
sit
along.
You
will
have
to
go
through
a
preliminary
background
check.
There's
some
sensitive
information
up
here,
but
yeah
members
of
the
public
are
more
than
welcome
to
come,
do
sit,
alongs
cool.
C
Yet
so
we
are
able
to
receive
text
messages
and
excuse
me
continue
that
conversation,
but
we
are
no
we're
not
able
to
receive
photos
or
videos
with
our
current
number
one
texting
capability.
That
is
something
that
we're
looking
forward
to
migrating
towards
in
the
future.
So
whenever
we
do
have
that
capability,
the
public
will
be
informed
through
our
website
or
social
media.
Push
out
cool.
A
I've
seen
a
lot
of
the
text
to
911
messaging
and
marketing.
So
look
to
that.
Let's
see
what
else
do
we
have
coming
in
here.
We
might
be
time
to
wrap
up
here
shortly
because
it's
9/11
month
again
for
those
who
might
just
be
joining.
Maybe
we
should
recap
some
of
the
key
takeaways
for
the
education
month,
especially
the
emergency
versus
non-emergency
number
right.
B
Absolutely
so
again,
we
do
have
a
wide
variety
of
resources
for
you
to
contact
911.
If
there's
a
threat
of
harm
call
9-1-1.
If
there
is
a
matter
that
needs
police,
fire
or
medical
attention,
but
there's
no
threat
of
harm
right.
This
second
call
the
non-emergency
number.
If
something's
already
passed,
you
just
want
to
get
a
case
number
like
a
late
hit-and-run.
You
don't
know
what
the
vehicle
is.
B
A
car
accident,
you're
reporting
after
the
fact,
you
just
need
a
case
number
go
online,
absolutely
there's
information
there
and
the
motor
vehicle
accident
forum,
which
is
a
great
resource
for
you
guys,
and
we
do
also
have
text
to
9
1
1.
If
you
cannot
speak
it's
unsafe
to
do
so
or
if
you
have
a
speech
or
hearing
impairment,
that's
a
fantastic
resource.
Again,
that
is
a
911
less.
You
are
not
able
to
speak
voice.
Contact
is
always
going
to
be
better,
but
text
to
9-1-1
is
there
for
you
mm-hmm,
absolutely
and
again
there.
B
A
So
maybe
one
day,
maybe
one
day,
cool
well
I
think
that
about
wraps
it
up
for
us
here
in
Arlington's,
9-1-1
call
center
thanks.
So
much
for
joining
us
for
our
latest
Facebook
live
Q&A
and
we'll
have
more
of
these
sessions
coming
up
in
the
coming
months.
To
explain
and
give
you
a
little
insight
on
some
of
what
the
county
is
up
to
thanks
again
for
tuning
in.
