From YouTube: Around Arlington: Reservoir
Description
ATV's regular roundup of news and notes. In this edition, we commemorate 9/11 and celebrate "Parking Day." We also look forward to our digital destiny, celebrate Hispanic heritage and in the most recent Street Beat segment we take a trip down into the Minor Hill Reservoir.

reservoir

main
projects
provided
critical
support
to
our
large
water
storage
area.
B
This
summer,
Arlington
County
finished
the
last
phase
of
the
minor
Hill
reservoir
project,
our
crews,
boosted
reliability
and
redundancy
of
our
water
system
by
providing
an
additional
backup
main
to
our
largest
most
critical
water
storage
area,
making
our
system
more
reliable.
These
updates
are
important
to
provide
adequate
capacity
to
support
future
residential
and
commercial
pro,
and
here
with
us
today
is

C
Project
where
we
change
some
of
the
yard
piping
and
our
minor
rust
holes,
it's
the
culmination
of
three
or
four
projects
over
the
last
five
years,
or
so
across
North
Arlington,
where
we
for
the
redundancy
in
the
capacity
of
our
transmission
capability
throughout
the
county.
We
changed
this
area
where
we've
got
an
inlet
pipe
here
and
out
pipes
from
our
reservoirs,
which
will
allow
us
to
reduce
the
water
age
in
our
storage
facility,
which
will
increase
water
quality
for
about
half
the
county
that
served
by
this
water
source
to
see
how.
C
Combined
these
tanks
have
about
24
million
gallons
of
water,
that's
about
one
day's
average
day
supply
for
Arlington
County,
and
this
combined
with
our
other
storage
facilities
in
the
county,
gives
us
a
little
more
than
a
day
and
a
half
worth
of
storage.
The
redundancy
that
we
have
in
our
transmission
capacity
up
to
here
and
the
store
the
water
we
have
stored
up
here
is
available
to
them
through
other
interconnections.
So
having
that
more
reliable
is
going
to
improve
the
reliability
of
water
for
everybody
in
the
county.
Well,.
