Description
We're over by the Long Bridge Aquatics and Fitness Center next to the I-395 Boundary Channel and Long Bridge Dr. interchange to talk about some of the improvements that are coming to this area. This project will add two roundabouts to improve traffic flow between Long Bridge Dr., Boundary Channel Dr. and I-395 making travel in the interchange safer and less constricted for drivers.

This
project
will
add
two
roundabouts
to
improve
traffic
flow
between
Long
Bridge,
Drive
boundary,
Channel,
Drive
and
I-395,
making
travel
in
The,
Interchange,
safer
and
less
constricted
for
drivers.
Currently,
The
Interchange
has
weaving
lanes
that
create
confusion
for
drivers,
especially
during
rush
hour
traffic.
These
improvements
will
help
organize
the
lanes
for
smoother
travel
and
reduce
the
risk
of
vehicle
collisions.

The
project
is
being
administered
by
the
Virginia
Department
of
Transportation,
in
partnership
with
Arlington
County
and
the
northern
Virginia
Transportation
Authority.
Funding
for
the
project
consists
of
local
and
state
revenue,
Regional
funds
from
the
nvta
and
local
bonds.
The
upgraded
interchange
will
make
travels
simpler
and
safer
for
people
moving
through
the
area.
