From YouTube: Catching Up with the Arlington County Snow Removal Crew
Description
A visit with the people who are responsible for removing snow from the streets of Arlington County Virginia.
A
First
and
foremost
on,
ladies
and
gentlemen,
want
to
thank
you
for
the
efforts
going
continue
to
go.
We
are
a
lot
of
work.
You
do.
Your
colleagues
have
done
well
throughout
the
night.
Now
is
your
turn
to
pick
up
the
torch
you
continue
to
go
going
to
be.
You
know,
sustained
could
be
anywhere
from
15
to
30
miles
per
hour,
winds
which
it
could
be
dangerous.
Make
sure
that
you
look
out
for
for
each
other
when
you
out
there
the
hedges
in
the
highway.
A
You
guys
know
the
drill
you've
done
this
many
many
times
before,
so
for
crying
out
loud
make
sure
you
be
safe,
think
about
safety.
First,
ninety-nine
percent
of
our
vehicles
are
up,
believe
it
or
not.
So,
and
the
focus
our
everyone
say
we're
going
to
be
doing.
Is
it's
piling
you're
not
going
to
be
spreading
so
much
salt?
You
know
we're
going
to
really
be
plowing.
B
We
ask
that
neighbors
and
citizens
help
each
other
digging
out
with
the
elderly,
those
with
medical
conditions
helping
clean
their
sidewalks.
It's
actually
part
of
the
part
of
the
code
enforcement
within
the
county.
If
you
need,
if
you'd
like
to
volunteer,
we
ask
you
that
you
contact
your
local
community
organization.
There
are
a
number
of
them
within
the
county
and
I
know
they
reach
out
to
you
on
a
regular
basis
and
they
can
provide
you
with
direct
links
to
those
folks
right
in
your
community
within
blocks
of
your
residence.
Please.
C
Please
I
know
it's
snowing.
I
know
it's
fun
being
out
there
with
your
family
having
fun
but
I
want
you
guys
to
be
sick
and
we
want
our
drivers
to
be
safe.
So
please
take
Claire
of
the
road
so
that
the
drivers
can
have
the
roads
to
plow,
because
it's
very
important
for
them
to
be
able
to
plow
and
plow
safe,
because
we
have
kids
walking
around
slain.
We
have
parents
doing
the
same
and
it
makes
it
hard
for
our
drivers.
C
B
We
ask
that
residents
of
be
mindful
of
the
hydrants
in
their
neighborhood.
We
ask
them
to
clean
these
out.
This
is
especially
important
if
there
may
be
an
emergency
and
the
fire
department
needs
to
access
those
hydrants.
So
if
you
do
know
where
they
are,
please
take
an
opportunity
to
clean
those
out
for
us.
It
would
be
his
appreciated.
