From YouTube: Northside Social
Description
Whether you need a espresso pick me up in the morning, or want to settle down with a glass of wine at the end of the day, one place in Clarendon has got you covered. Northside Social is in its first year of operation, and already has created a warm, friendly atmosphere for the surrounding community. Come by, grab a seat, and be social on the Northside of Arlington...
B
It
was
a
coffee
shop
here
before
for
many
many
years
and
there's
definitely
a
need
in
the
neighborhood
for
a
coffee
shop.
We
got
together
as
a
group
and
decided
that
we
keep
the
coffee
as
a
primary
focus
and
add
unto
it
a
great
culinary
program
with
a
great
wine
program
just
make
it
sort
of
a
community
social
gathering
place,
but
we
use
all
natural
ingredients
as
many
local
products,
as
we
can
buy,
make
just
about
everything
from
scratch
in
the
house.
So
much
if
we
can
make
it.
We
do
hey.
B
B
Do
all
different
events
to
do
a
lot
of
wine
events
here.
Events-
and
I
also
have
art,
shows
here-
I'm
really
interested
in
supporting
local
artists
and
the
arts
in
general.
So
we
actually
led
local
artists.
Hang
the
work
here
for
free
and
if
they
sell
the
work
they
can
keep,
they
keep
all
the
commission
doing
a
one-hour
hall
level.
B
B
C
C
Get
our
beans
from
counterculture
coffee
out
of
Durham
North
Carolina,
and
they
are
incredible.
Roaster
of
all
the
Roasters
here
in
the
US
I
find
that
kind
of
culture
is
generally
like
the
most
memorable
coffee.
There.
Copy
profiles
are
very
specific,
very
focused
and
the
transparency
for
the
beam
that
allows
you
to
experience
all
levels
of
it
you
so
you
can
taste
the
regionality
of
where
the
coffee
is
coming
from
and
the
processing
of
the
coffee,
and
they
just
do
a
great
job
with
the
roasting
to
allow
the
actual
character
the
beam
to
come
out.
C
C
C
Dark
roast
coffee,
you
know
actually
here
at
our
shop.
We
don't
actually
do
anything.
Thats,
dark,
roast
or
light.
Roasts
are
all
about
the
same
roast,
but
certain
profiles
like
coffee
from
Indonesia,
for
instance,
well
have
characters
of
what
kind
of
dark
chocolate,
and
so
we
would
recommend
like.
Oh
you,
like
our
guy
Oh
from
Sumatra.
If
you
were
to
come
in
here
and
you
say,
I
want
a
coffee
and
every
this
is
the
way
you
lie.
C
C
A
professional
tuba
player
in
town
I
play
a
lot
with
the
National
Symphony
of
the
opera
Duffy
for
me
is
actually
just
a
passion
that
I
want
to
live
out.
I'm,
really
just
competitive
coffee
and
really
interested
in
just
levels
of
extraction,
and
every
day
when
I
come
in
I
mean
I'm,
making
great
drinks
for
people.
But
it's
also
refining
the
craft
and
honing
in
on
the
skill
that
is
required
to
make
the
ideal
person.
D
There
are
a
million
coffee
shops
moving
Gotham
for
years,
and
I
will
just
want
to
have
a
different
twist
on
a
muffin
different
twist
on
a
baked
good,
a
different
twist
on
that
comfort
idea
that
people
have
when
they're
in
city
with
a
cup
of
coffee
sometimes
is
one
ingredient.
Sometimes
it's
taking
the
familiar,
throwing
it
on
turning
out
to
end
taking
something
simple
like
the
traditional
american
scone
and
throwing
bananas
pecans
and
chocolate
into
making
a
chunky
monkey
scone,
trying
to
make
things
bursting
the
flavor,
but
also
not
too
focused
on
sugar.
D
D
Made
fresh
daily
so
today
I'm
doing
a
coconut
cardamom
with
the
vanilla
I
blended,
coconut
milk,
cardamom,
pods,
ginger
and
star
needs
kind
of
basing
off
of
the
chai
chai
tea.
People
begging
for
the
right
I
can't
wait
for
the
next
flavor.
Some
people
uses
it
as
a
novelty
like
for
Father's
Day
would
get
chocolate
bacon,
chocolate.
D
Steve
took
some
of
liberty,
tavern
famous
bacon
cook,
that
with
chocolate,
milk
added
to
the
chocolate
face,
I
had
a
really
strong,
smoky
bacon
flavor
to
it.
We
pour
it
in
cones
and
a
little
cracked
black
pepper.
It
was
a
real
mind
trip
because
you
every
single
thing
about
looked
like
a
delicious
scoop
of
chocolate,
ice
cream
tastes,
sooo,
yeah
and
then
bacon
came
here,
where's
that
coming
from
some
cooking
bacon
around
here
now.
D
D
We're
gonna
make
a
date
apricots
cone
for
this
one.
It's
very,
very
simple:
we're
all
purpose:
flour,
sugar,
salt,
organic
heavy
cream.
You
drizzle
the
heavy
cream
in
just
before
it
all
comes
together.
Add
the
fruit
of
this
dough,
I'm,
basically
making
what
we
call
a
book
if
I
fold
it
in
thirds
it's
making
layers.
Oh
I,.
D
D
A
Smell
so
good,
it's
a
place
to
relax
with
friends
and
enjoy
your
favorite
beverage,
my
kind
of
place
for
