From YouTube: Here/now: Phoenix Bikes
Description
In this segment of AVN's monthly magazine show, "Here/now" we visit Phoenix Bikes and get a lesson in bike repair.
A
Of
course,
we
can't
let
the
theater
students
have
all
the
fun
not
too
far
away
from
shirlington.
We
found
another
great
business
with
an
after-school
program
for
kids,
tucked
away
in
a
little
corner
of
the
bar
croft
recreation
complex.
His
Phoenix
bikes,
which
rose
from
the
ashes
of
an
old
county
bike
program
and
our
friends
at
Phoenix
are
helping.
Students
learn
the
fine
art
of
bicycle
maintenance.
B
Before
this
place
was
Phoenix
likes,
it
was
called
communities
folks
in
late
two
thousand
six
and
early
two
thousand
seven.
That
program
was
unfortunately
about
the
pole,
so
some
concern
darlington
citizens
got
together
fold
their
resources
and
put
in
some
hard
work
and
got
Phoenix
bikes
off
the
ground,
and
so
Phoenix
bikes
rose
from
the
ashes
of
community
spokes
I.
B
C
Like
the
first
time,
I
got
a
bike
they
had
flat
and
I
was
like
that's
places
like
hatchet,
and
my
friend
told
me
about
this
place
and
I
came
down
here
and
asking
what
the
price
was
and
they're
like
it's
five
bucks,
oh
ok,
but-
and
so
it's
like
when
I
can
I
told
I
was
like
I,
want
to
get
the
money
they
were
like,
but
there's
a
way
when
you
can
fix
it
for
free,
which
is
to
register
with
us.
I
was
like
okay,
that's
that's
a
vesicle
idea.
Well,
my
parents
I
told
him.
D
A
couple
of
bikes
cool
that
I've
never
even
heard
of
that
I'm
starting
to
learn
kind
of
get
the
hang
of
it.
You're
tightening
the
brakes
or
the
gears
is
a
third
hand
where
you
can
pull
the
line
and
tighten
it
up,
because
without
the
tool
it
would
be
almost
impossible
for
you
be
trying
to
pull
it
with
two
hands
and
tighten
it
up
with
other
hand.
That's
what's
called
a
third
hands.
Most
of
the
people
have
been
here
longer
than
me,
so
that's
gonna
be
around,
but
give
me
a
while
I'll
get
back.
D
C
This
is
all
my
gear
Fisher,
it's
gonna
be
my
first
full
suspension
bike
and
yeah.
It's
gonna
be
really
awesome.
It's
got
really
cool
cranks
and
all
that
yeah
it's
got
a
flat
bar.
Usually
these
kind
of,
like
still
have
flat
bottom,
with
one
of
those
wavy
off
mic
bars
for.
B
Me
it's
it's!
A
combination
of
a
lot
of
things:
I
really
love.
It's
a
small
community
bike
shop
that
is
here
really
just
to
help
people
get
more
people
on
bikes
and
especially
with
kids.
It
I
think
I
think
it's
great
to
can
still
real
interest
in
passion
for
cycling
at
a
young
age
and
honestly,
when
I
first
came
into
the
shop
first
thing
that
I
thought
was
man
I
wish
this
was
around
when
I
was
down.
C
Usually
fridays
and
saturdays,
sometimes
there's
special
occasions
like
being
down
that
yeah,
like
thursdays,.
B
D
C
C
D
Told
a
couple
of
my
teachers,
my
PE
teacher
to
be
exact,
and
we
have
bikes
and
PE
and
since
I'm
learning
how
to
do
bikes
working
on
bikes
I
might
have
to
get
a
job
up
at
the
school
maintenance,
their
bikes.
So
that's
another
plus
right
there,
a.
