Hi, I'm ryan, hudson public information officer with arlington county here to answer some of your questions about cobit 19 vaccines for kids as young as 6 months.

So when will kova 19 vaccines be available for kids as young as six months, the moderna and pfizer vaccines have been approved for kids as young as six months. Both vaccines are now available in arlington, county and they're. Equally safe and effective.

And where are vaccines for kids as young as 6 months available? These vaccines are available by appointment. Only at the county's public health immunization clinic located in sequoia, plaza, appointments are available, wednesdays and fridays, 11 a.m to 7 p.m, and then saturdays 9 a.m to 5 p.m.

Additional opportunities might be available at your pediatrician or family practice office, and maybe at pharmacies.

Parents should contact their healthcare provider with questions about any availability and visit vaccines.gov to find a location, that's best for you and your family and keep in mind that pharmacies might only be able to vaccinate those three years and older so be sure to double check with yours before you go.

Now, how many doses of the covet 19 vaccine will kids as young as six months need to get so for the moderna vaccine? It's going to be two doses, that's four weeks apart and then for the pfizer vaccine. They're gonna need three doses.

The second dose is given three weeks after the first dose, and then the third dose is given at least eight weeks after dose two. Now these vaccines are the same ones that the older, kids and adults get just in smaller doses, and at this time a booster dose is not currently recommended for kids as young as 6 months.

What side effects might my child experience? After getting a shot vaccine side effects are reported to be mild and very similar to those seen with other children's vaccines? The most common side effect is a sore arm. Remember the side effects are a sign that your child's immune response is working talk with your medical provider.
