Description

On Monday, July 8, Arlington County experienced severe weather and flooding, getting inundated with a month’s worth of rain in approximately just one hour.

Arlington County opened a Local Recovery Center (LRC) to assist residents and businesses affected by the flood. This is in conjunction with the governor’s announcement that low-interest federal loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are available to help homeowners, renters and businesses rebuild from storm damage.

Additional resources and information can be found at the County’s virtual Flood Recovery Center. These County resources will continue to operate after the recovery center has closed. Those in need are also encouraged to call 2-1-1 or visit 211Virginia.org for community information, resources and referral services.

Arlington County continues to recover from the events of July, 8th and the severe weather that affected our residents and businesses. Our local state and federal agencies continue to work hand-in-hand to maximize available assistance opportunities.

They recover there's a variety of assistance programs that are available to our residents and businesses. The county continues to pursue all avenues possible disaster aid.

If residents and businesses are unable to visit the local recovery centers, they can go to Arlington, Va, dot, us and click on flood recovery there. They will even access all of the same resources that are available here in a Recovery Center. They can also get to links for the SBA loan application process where they will be able to submit more disaster.
