Virginia Governor Ralph Northam made the announcement this afternoon that Nestlé will invest an additional $5 million to relocate Gerber from New Jersey to join its corporate headquarters in Arlington’s Rosslyn neighborhood. Gerber will occupy 23,392 square feet of office space in Rosslyn’s 1812 North Moore address, creating a total of 150 new jobs.

Nestlé’s decision to bring one of its top brands to Arlington after choosing the location for its US headquarters last year is a major step forward in Arlington’s effort to diversify its economy.

So we are glad to be here to be part of the announcement that Garber is moving their headquarters from New Jersey to Roslin, an investment of five million dollars. A hundred and fifty additional jobs, Gerber.

Is part of the Nestle family on an incredible part of the Nesta family, I can't imagine a person, the United States or even all around the world that has a baby that doesn't know the brand Gerber, so we're very proud that they're coming here, it's.

Always a list of criteria for us whether it's infrastructure, you know public transportation- was important. There are a lot of criteria we looked through, but first and foremost about where do we have access to the talent for Nestle that we need to win in the future in the marketplace and we felt like Northern, Virginia and Arlington, specifically, what's the place where we had the best access to that talent.

They're really bringing together all of their talent in a vertical campus in the middle of probably one of the most important areas in all of the country they recruited for 181 candidates. They found 20,000 qualified applicants in his region. So I think that that is one of the things that impressed Nestle and I think that's. What's continuing to impress all the companies that are coming here and expanding so they're all seeing the talent pool here and that's what's really attractive.
