With the long summer days now is a great time to get out and do some hiking or biking they're, fun and healthy activities for the whole family and with Arlington's trail system, you don't have to go very far to find a safe, attractive environment to get out and play.

Hi guys today we're gonna explore the Arlington bike. Trail system, I'm kind of excited, got my helmet got my bike and I have got a map. Everything I need. So let's explore the Arlington bike trails.

You can you can save that for other uses, but this this is the Arlington County bike map here, and this has all of the trails and bike routes for the entire county. So let me give this to you. Well, a biking etiquette, I think, is in here somewhere, okay and actually yes, we are so. We should actually move off the trail, so people can ride safer. This is one of the things that that new cyclists and actually per season, cyclists know better. So if we move off the trail just a little bit, we.

That's that's really important. You know, there's a lot of users for the trail. There bicyclists pedestrians, roller bladers parents with strollers, so it's best to get off the trail when, when just standing, still I love the thing about trail etiquette is when you're about to pass someone give them a little heads-up that you'll be passing them.

If you put a bike bell on your bike, you can give them just a little notice or if you don't have a bell, you can say passing on your left, and this is just a little heads up to them that you are going to be approaching from behind and we'll make sure that they don't jump in front of you as you as you pass by ah are.

There any classes that I could take for maintenance, the bicycle or learning how to use it better. Yeah.

Actually, we have a classroom setting class and also in odd street class. So if you're, you know getting back on the bike after a few years, and you want to remember how everything is supposed to be done properly. These classes are absolutely free and we offer them about once a month. If.

I can enroll in one of those classes. I could be out here all through the summer now I need to get to ballston. How? How would I get to ballston? Can you tell me sure right.

Now we're on the Washington and Old Dominion trail. However, right here this is the Blue Mountain Junction trail, and this is a shortcut which will take you right into ballston. Aha, we're right here at the intersection this.
