Description
News segments featuring people and events in Arlington County VA.
A
Next
time
you
catch
an
art,
bus,
look
up,
you
might
catch.
A
new
mobile
art
exhibit
called
art
on
the
art
bus.
These
prints
by
artist
tim
care
from
austin
texas
are
running
concurrently
in
an
exhibition
at
arlington's
artist
sphere.
The
exhibition
is
called
party
crashers
comic
book.
Culture
invades
the
art
world.
We
hopped
on
the
art
bus,
showcasing
these
prints
and
caught
up
with
artosphere
curator
cynthia
connor.
B
There's
one
bus
and
the
concept
is
to
keep
on
doing
one
bus
and
I
kind
of
like
the
idea
of
the
surprise
of
the
bus
that
you
have
to
find
it.
I
was
talking
to
one
of
the
artists
for
party
crashers
and
I
just
mentioned
the
idea
to
him.
I
said:
would
you
be
interested
in
doing
paintings
that
were
in
the
advertisement
section
of
the
bus
and
just
the
original
paintings?
We'd?
Actually
just
put
them
in
the
bus?
We
wouldn't
cover
them.
We
wouldn't
treat
them
as
you
know,
sort
of
precious
works
of
art.
B
We
would
just
put
them
in
the
bus
and
see
what
happens
and
he
he
was
so
excited
because
he
said
he's
always
wanted
to
do
a
piece
on
rosa
parks
and
a
bus.
His
influences
are
flash
cards
like
you
know
when
he
went
to
school
when
he
was
a
kid,
the
flash
cards
and
trading
cards
so
for
the
art
bus.
He
paired
two
people
with
similar
sort
of
what
he
considers
to
be
two
people
that
should
be
paired
together
on
one
placard.
B
We
have
one
other
artist
after
this:
that's
curated
by
valmid
lonstra,
the
public
art
curator
for
arlington
county
and
that
will
probably
be
installed
sometime
this
summer.
It's
great
it's
great
that
the
arlington
transit
wanted
to
do
something
like
this,
and
you
know
it
promotes
the
transit
system,
which
I
think
is
a
really
good
thing
to
do.
I
think
it's
good
to
promote
taking
the
bus
and
that
you
can
come
on
a
bus
and
see.
