From YouTube: Jacqui's story
Description
The death of a neighbor from breast cancer inspires an 8th grade girl to do all she can to stop the disease and raise awareness of it. Jacqui is a normal teenage girl whose drive to make a difference in the world will inspire you.

Luckily,
for
jacqueline,
that's
she's
doing
a
lot
of
empathy,
she's
not
doing
it
because
it's
a
traumatic
situation,
but
I
still
had
that
twinge
of
you
know
this
is
she's,
really
doing
it
and
she's
going
to
be
different
and
there's
really
no
turning
back
once
they
do
that
first
cut.

In
fifth
grade,
my
friend
sophie
told
me
about
this,
and
she
wanted
to
do
she
wanted
to
shave
her
head
for
some
st
baldrick's.
I
kind
of
forgot
about
it
for
a
couple
years
and
in
eighth
grade
after
my
mom's
friend
passed
away.
I
remembered
it
and
I
figured
this
is
a
good
way
to
put
my
feelings
into
what
I'm
to
support
my
my
cause.
D
G
A
I'm
doing
it
because
there's
a
lot
of
kids
out
there
who
aren't
as
lucky
as
me
and
my
friends
are
right
now
and
a
lot
of
the
time
they're,
not
thinking
about
pediatric
cancer,
because
it
doesn't
directly
affect
their
lives
and
some
of
them
some
of
them.
It
does,
but
I
think
they'll,
remember
it,
and
I've
had
a
couple.
Friends
mention
that
they
want
to
donate.
H
Was
floored
by
this
the
idea
that
an
eighth
grade
girl
would
choose
selectively
to
shave.
Her
head
was
to
me
just
the
ultimate
form
of
bravery,
knowing
how
children
are
at
that
age
in
terms
of
body
image
and
what
they
think
I
figured
if
she
could
do
it.
You
know
I
she
certainly
needed
somebody
in
solidarity,
so
I
said
well
count
me
in
I
mean
look
at
me.
It's
not
really
that
big
of
a
deal
for
me.
B

F
They
were
going
to
go
someplace
else
and
pay
to
have
it
done,
and
I
was
like.
Oh
no,
you
have
to
come
here.
I
wouldn't
have
it
any
other
way.
I
just
wanted
to
get
involved.
However,
I
could
so
we're
gonna
be
letting
our
clients
know.
You
know
any
donations
that
they
make
they'll
get
a
free
treatment
by
us
on
their
next
appointment.
C
A
Help
I'm
a
little
nervous
there's.
B
B
She
said
what,
if
I
look
in
the
mirror
afterwards,
and
I
don't
like
what
I
look
like
and
I
said
I
hope
that
when
you
look
in
the
mirror,
you
will
see
how
beautiful
you
are.
You
will
see
beautiful
eyes
that
see,
needs
and
want
to
make
a
difference
and
a
beautiful
heart
that
cares
and
loves
and
acts
on
acts,
excellent
desire
to
make
a
difference.
A
B
A
I
don't
let
it
disrupt
me,
I
mean
they
obviously
don't
understand
what
I'm
doing
so
it
might
be
cold,
which
is
why
I
would
wear
a
hat,
but
they
I
want
to
show
people
that
I
don't
care,
how
I
look,
but
I'm
trying
to
put
my
best
foot
forward
and
help
stop
the
problem.
D
A
A
G
Right
now,
I'm
getting
tested
for
cancer
every
month,
we're
really
looking
out
for
it,
and
I'm
worried
every
day
that
one
of
the
moles
I
have
on
my
head
will
develop
into
something
war
and
cancer,
and
you
shaving.
Your
head
shows
me
that,
even
if
I
do
get
cancer,
it
doesn't
really
matter
what
I
look
like.
