Sustainable
building
is
really
it's
sort
of
a
trend
right
now,
but
it's
funny
because
it's
just
smart
design.
I've
been
interested
in
being
an
architect
since
I
was
about
ten
years
old.
Probably
initially,
I
was
interested
in
becoming
an
architect
because
I
realized
that
could
create
things
as
I
got
older.
Once
I
started
practicing.
A
I
realized
that
architecture
really
affects
the
way
that
people
live
and
it
can
literally
transform
people's
lives
of
what
we
do
as
a
firm
is
we
look
for
the
reasons
beyond
the
architecture
if
I
can
deliver
a
space
that
helps
school
children
learn
more
effectively.
That's
something!
That's
exciting.
The
bigger
ideas
beyond
the
architecture
are
wonderful.
Arlington
County
actually
employs
a
lot
of
the
same
principles
that
we
do
within
our
work
and
employs
the
principles
of
good
design.
