as

local
counselor

back

many
years
ago,
when
he
was
a
young
man
in
his
40s
when
he
came
on
the
bomb
bridge
council.

he's
certainly
no
stranger
to
the

welcome
addition
back
in
the
branches
and
pay
tribute
to
the
outgoing
counselor
who's
with
the
late
tonight's
in
the
public
gallery
keith
park

he
kept.

kept

seat

went
too
many

back
there.
So
just
a
very
warm
welcome
back
to
councillor
rankin
and
also
to
country
johnson,
it's
nice

see
in
the
chamber

social

last
number

had

some
good
friends
in
this
on
stephanie,
I'm
monroe

a
guide
dog.
I
know
my
sim

my
role

last

lord
mayor,
and
I
now
count
them
as
good
friends,
and
I
hope
they
are
listening

tonight,
because
they're
doing
fantastic
work.

able

help
them
continue
this
fantastic
work

we
move
forward

always
needy

Last
year
when
I
took
over
as
lord
mayor,
one
of
my
first
engagements
was
open
up
a
play
park
and
I
had
two
schools
there
of
young
people
helping
me
to
open
up
the
park
and
the
young
ones
were
asking
me
about
the
lord
marriage
team.
So
I
asked
one
of
them
that
they
wanted
a
word
and
next
minute
I
had
a
whole
queue
of
film
people
around
the
play
park.

The
centenary
of
northern
ireland
was
up.
I
was
at
the
forefront
of
the
ulcerative
union's
party
grouping
here
at
the
nbc
and
we
as
we
as
the
party
that
helped
for
northern
ireland.
This
was
an
extremely
important
year
for
unionism,
not
only
in
celebrating
the
last
100
years,
but
also
looking
forward
to
the
next
100
years
and
beyond.

had
the
pleasure
to
welcome
the
czech
and
torches
of
essex
to
officially
open
our
fantastic
new
safety
pleasure
center.
I
will
never
forget
having
the
honor
to
host
the
rails,
I'm
installing
vietnam,
the
world's
ios
roger.
What
hate

you
know

made
vancouver
and
what
they
do
if
he
offers
to
shake
my
hand.

civic

I

were

fantastic

tended

community

you've

your

mayor

incoming

Four

this
term

council
falls

the
democratic
unionist
party
and
I
would
now
invite
the
parties
nominating
officer,
councillor
baxter,
to
provide
a
nomination
for
the
position
of
lord
mayor
councillor
baxter.

will
come
as
a
big
surprise
to
everybody
in
the
chamber,
because
it's
always
as
every
year
the
worst
cap
secret
within
these
halls
over
over
here
at
abc
council,
but

delighted

nominate

name
of
a
a
close
friend
of
mine
and
a
colleague
here
for
many
years
I
was
going
to
say
I've
known
paul,
all
my
life,
but
he
was
about.
I
don't
know
a
moment.

christened
there,
but
I
was
a
good
friend
between
it

dedicated

fred
greenfield

a
pleasure
and

years
ago
I
was
the
same

whenever
paul
was
just
going

high
school.

propose
them

mayor

wish
him

the
best
have
no
doubt

paul
will
bring,

the
position

the

citizen

borough

him

his

fiona

him

the

the

humbling
experience

to
represent
the
people
of

on
bridging
government
as
your
first
citizen.

first

council

bridge
today.

day
I

be
sitting
here,
but
just
for
the
record,
it
was
a
skeletric
set
counselor
back
to
god
yeah,
but
he
denies
and
I'm
still
not
quite
over
yet,
but
I
know
my
mom.

She
agrees
that
he
did
take
a
birth
with
his
two
arms
open
and
I
think
he's
about
three
years
older
than
me
whenever
that
happened,
but
he
was
too
old
for
school
electrics.
But
can
I
firstly
thank
my
party
colleagues
for
their
putting
their
faith
in
me
to
take
up
this
privileged
position,
and
I
thank
them
for
all
their
support.

look
over
to
him
right
and
I
see
them
all
here,
I
know
I
will
get
plenty
of
advice
and
guidance,
as
we
see
quite
a
few
former
mayors
and
lord
merc
sitting
amongst
them,
who
have
all
done
this
role

best
of
their
ability
and
very
successfully
in
the
past.

also
sure,
when
I
look
over
the
right
close
to
where
it
was
sudden
I'd
be
kept
cracked
in
the
standing

bringing

kids

important

have

you
saying
one
that
might
be
screaming
and
kicking,
but
give
them

baby,
but
they've
done
fantastic
and
they
have
certainly
been
a
crowded
to
you

we've
been
on
the
track
during
the
term.

visit

our
businesses,
especially
smaller
local
businesses,
who
are
the
backbone
of
our
towns
and
villages.

many
great
community
groups,
church
groups,
sports
groups,
we
do
much
to
enhance

communities

many
as
possible
over
my
term
and
working
with
you
all.

be

welcoming
lord
mayor
for
everyone
to
come
in
and
visit,
and
I
want
to
work
with
all
our
fellow
aldermen
counselors
council
offers
officers
in

year
ahead.

represent
the
people
of
this
borough
during
increasingly
challenging
times
again.

want
to
thank
all
our
staff
and
I
look
forward

working

each

every
one
of

mayor

years

group
was
doing
it

lord

savior

guidance

helped
me
over
that
year
again
tonight.

want
also

put
my
trust
in
him
to
lead
and
guide
me
in
the
year
ahead.

remember

I
started
in
council
back
in
2016,
when
you
were
deputy
murr,
you
were
hosting
an
event
in
guilford
bowling
club
and
you're.
Very
welcoming

me
as
a
new
member
then-
and
I
would
like
to
thank
you
for
that.

I
do
know
paul
that
you
will
be
a
great
lord
murder.
Yeah
you've
proved
that
throughout
the
years
as
your
work
on
with
the
council,
and
also
when
you
chair,
the
economic
development
committee,
you've
always
been
a
positive
in
your
dealings
with
all
members.
Your
time
in
charge,
economic
development
was
very
successful
and
I
always
found
you
accommodating
all
members
and
you
give
everybody
the
opportunity
to
speak.

do
know
from
working
a
long
stage
in
different
issues
in
the
band
bridge
town,
you're,
very
passionate
about
looking
after
the
people
of
bonbridge
and
creating
a
good
environment
for
them
to
work,
live
and
shopping,
and
I
know
you'll
continue
to
promote
boundaries
and
indeed
the
borough
in
that
manner.
So,
in
closing,
I
wish
you
every
success
this
year
and
it's
also
to
note
that
that's
also
a
hat
trick
of
lord
mers
from
the
bomb
bridge
d.a.
So
that's
also
a
positive
reflection
on
the
political
representatives
from
this
bar.

myself
five
years
ago.
Believe
it

not.

one
thing
you
will
find
is
that
your
year
will
go
quicker.

if

god
speed

it's
hard
to
believe
that
time,
just
moved
so
quickly,
so
just
a
bit
of
advice
would
be
to
enjoy
it.

take
in

much

you
can

borough
and,

course,
councillor
savage
will
stay
a
bit
of
a
clean
day,
as
he
did
when
I
was
there
bomb
bridge
featured
quite
heavily
and
despite
my
best
efforts
to
make
our
mouth
future,
you
know
there's
a
few
bomb
bridge
people
there.
You
know
you're
a
bomb
bridge,
counselor
yourself,
so
you'll
know
all
about
it
and
counselor
magalyn.
I
remember
him
he's
taking
a
bit
of
a
claim
as
well,
so
between
pipes
and
drums
and
all
sorts.

I
think
bond
bridge
will
be
thoroughly
well
represented
with
councillor
greenfield
in
the
in
the
praying
position.
So
I
wish
you
all
the
best
and
hope
you
have
a
tremendous
year
and
that
you
raise
a
lot
of
money
for
your
charities
and
I
know
we'll
be
behind
you
as
a
council,
and
I
think
that
is
one
thing
that
is
important,
that
we
do
channel
that
support
to
you.

know,

elected
representatives,

make
the
most
of
the
year
and
of
us
and
ensure
that
our
work

thrive.

constituents,
councillor

elevation

mcclellan

quite

his
father.

knew
his
father
and
he
the
family,
as
my
wife
comes
from
not
far
away
from
that
part
of
the
country,
as
he
would
know,
and

known
him
for
for
for
a
good
number
of
years.

farming

in

part

the
world
as
well,
and
I
meet
him
from
time
to
time.
But
in
any
event,
I
have
certainly
found
that
he
has

interest

farming
and
he
is
a
tremendous
interest

river

slightly
worries
me,
because
I
have
a
colleague
that
begins
to
think
that
lag

river
had
been
a
sort
of
forgot
about.

I'm
sort
of
beginning
to
get

worried.

we
have

in

and

and
places
others
that
people

behind
in

a
consequence

doubt

plenty

item,
six
appointment
of
aldermen
and
members
will
be
aware
that
that's
these
are
positions
that
we
appointed
at
the
start
of
our
council
term,
and
you
will
also
be
aware
that
very
sadly,
alderman
macron
passed
away
in
july
of
last
year
and
alderman
rankin
at
the
time
in
march.
This
year
had
resigned.
So
there
are
two
vacant
alderman
positions
on
council.

The
regulations
state
that
the
vacancies
can
only
be
filled
by
at
the
next
council
meeting
or
the
next
annual
meeting
of
council,
which
is
obviously
this
evening,
lord
mayor,
so
they
couldn't
be
filled
before
now.
All
nominations
for
the
position
of
aldermen
must
be
proposed
and
then
seconded
and
for
them
to
be
valid
and
also
the
nominees
must
assent
to
the
nomination,
and
the
nominations
will
be
until
the
end
of
the
current
council
term.
So
lord
mayor,
I'm
in
members
hands
with
regard
to
the
filling
of
the
two
vacant,
alderman
positions.

memories

former
colleague
come
come
back

relation

junior
mccrum,
junior's
alderman

council

2014

july
last

Indeed,
I
would
imagine
that
her
majesty
herself
would
wish
to
disassociate
herself
with
those
behaviors,
given
the
acts
of
peace
and
reconciliation
that
she
herself
has
embarked
upon.
However,
I
don't
want
to
give

involved
any
further
our
time.
Instead,
I
want
to
reflect
on
michaela
mcgravy,
a
young
woman
of
27,
who
was
much
loved
by
her
friends
and
family,
a
wife,
a
daughter,
a
sister
and
a
friend,
the
special
bond
she
shared
with
her
dad
was
something
that
always
stood
out
for
me.

Michaela's
legacy
lives
on
in
the
michaela
foundation,
which
has
been
a
beacon
of
light
for
so
many
young
people,
and
that
is
how
michaela
is
to
be
remembered.
That
is
how
she
will
live
on
in
the
hearts
and
minds
of
many
lord
mayor.
Sorry,
because
you
got
caught,
doesn't
quite
cut
it.
For
me,
however,
the
one
positive
that
has
come
out
of
this
weekend
is
the
absolute
rejection
of
sectarianism.

have
seen
from
a
broad
section
of
society
here,
a
tree
mark
of
where
the
majority
of
us
are,
and
so
in
that
spirit,
lord
mer,
I
would
like
to
propose
that
we
write
to
the
heart
and
macarena
families
to
offer
our
full

unequivocal
support,
expressing
our
solidarity,
and
indeed
our
admiration
for
them
and
for
michaela.
