D
Thank
you.
Lord
mourinho's
group
leaders
oppose
it.
It
falls
on
me
not
only
to
pay
tribute
this
evening,
but
also
to
offer
our
heartfelt
condolences
to
the
macomb
family
at
this
extremely
difficult
time.
I
know
others
from
the
party
will
also
want
to
pay
their
respects
and
pay
their
tributes
as
well.
So
I
will
keep
my
remarks
brief.
D
Firstly,
on
bombers
district
council
having,
as
you
said
yourself,
lord
mayor,
the
honor
of
serving
a
year
as
chairman
of
the
council
laterally
with
the
reform
of
local
government,
he
was
elected
to
this
chamber
where
he
served
right
up
until
his
death
last
wednesday
at
the
age
of
57..
He
served
with
distinction
and
delivered
much
for
his
constituents.
He
cared
about
bomb
bridge
in
the
surrounding
area.
He
represented
and
cared
much
about
his
people.
D
A
real
gentleman
who
was
widely
regarded
by
many
and
the
number
of
mourners
who
came
out
to
pay
the
respects
on
saturday
was
testament
to
that
not
only
in
bomb
bridge
but
in
loch
brookland,
as
the
hirsch
made
its
way
to
the
church.
He
was
a
long-standing
and
loyal
member
of
the
democratic
unionist
party
and
his
interest
in
politics
was
shaped
by
the
loss
of
his
younger
brother,
alan
at
the
age
of
11..
As
most
of
you
will
know,
he
was
killed
when
an
air
raid
bomb
exploded,
inbound
bridge
town
centre.
D
This
had
a
profound
effect
on
him
and
his
family,
but
would
give
junior
in
later
years
the
empathy
to
work
alongside
and
be
an
advocate
for
the
victims
of
the
troubles
junior's
health
had
deteriorated
in
recent
months,
but
throughout
his
many
years
of
the
issues
he
had
with
his
condition
of
my
atomic
dystrophy.
I.
D
His
family
were
extremely
important
to
him
and
he
talked
of
them
fondly
regularly
to
his
wife
sharon,
his
children,
charmian
matthew
and
ruth,
where
we
can
only
offer
words
of
comfort
and
support
at
this
time.
We
trust
that
they
can
take
much
more
comfort
from
the
fact
that
his
own
personal
faith
was
unwavering
and
that
junior
had
fought
the
good
fight
and
finished
the
course
he
is
now
with
christ,
which
is
far
better.
E
E
Quite
a
number
of
years
ago,
I
I
was
asked
when
the
brother
was
building
a
house
or
hoping
to
build
a
house,
and
I
was
asked
to
assist
with
planning
approval,
which
I
did
successfully
and
remember,
meeting
his
brother
and
indeed
his
father
david,
who
I
knew
quite
well
and
haven't
seen
a
flip,
but
I
understand
he
is
still
able
to
be
out
and
about
a
little,
I
I
know
he's
a
man
of
advanced
age,
but
I
knew
his
father
very
well
since,
coming
to
this
council,
I
have
had
many
conversations
with
junior.
E
I
I
know
the
the
wider
macron
family,
let
it
be
his
uncles
or
his
father's
cousins
or
whatever
I
I
know
them,
and
I've
always
known
them
to
be
decent,
upright
people
within
the
the
community
and
people
that
have
had
respect
across
the
community,
the
the
family
were,
as
it
were,
bereaved
in
in
a
very,
very
tragic
way
way
back
in
the
in
the
80s
when
junior
lost
a
young
brother
in
in
a
bomb
ira
bomb
in
in
barnbridge,
and
no
doubt
that
had
as
it
would
with
any
family,
had
a
major
impact
and
legacy
on
a
family
and
the
stain
that
that
leaves
in
one's
mind
and
heart
is
understandable.
E
In
my
discussions
over
the
years
with
junior,
obviously
he
laterally
he
had
been
in
failing
health.
That
was
obvious.
When
we
were
on
zoom
meetings
laterally,
it
had
become
more
difficult
for
him,
so
to
speak,
but
above
all
he
is
one
that
will
be
remembered.
E
I
think
he
certainly
had
a
sense
of
commitment
to
a
work
on
behalf
of
the
community
work
with
the
community,
and
I
had
many
conversations
with
him.
I
I
found
him
like
his
family
genes
to
be
decent,
upright
a
man
one
that
his
passion
for
this
country
was
no
doubt
assured
by
him
and
indeed
many
others.
E
This
is,
as
is
evident
the
first
occasion
where
tragedy
has
entered
this
council
in
the
context
of
losing
one
of
its
sitting,
members
where
in
existence,
since
we
were
elected
first
in
2014-
and
this
is
the
first
break
in
relation
to
that.
So
it
is
something
that
is
no
doubt
a
lasting
memory
for
this
council
and
indeed
for
the
community.
So
thank
you
very
much
indeed
lord
mer
and
I
certainly
want
to
be
joined
with
any
expression
of
and
support
to
the
macron
family
at
this
particular
very
sad
time.
Thank
you.
F
On
behalf
of
myself
and
my
party
colleagues,
I
would
like
to
offer
our
sincere
sympathy
and
condolence
to
alderman
crum's
wife,
children
with
her
family
and
indeed
his
dvp
council
colleagues,
on
his
untimely
passing
junior,
was
a
dedicated
public
servant
and
had
a
reputation
as
someone
who
could
get
things
done
and
at
all
times
served
the
best
interests
of
his
palm
bridge
constituents
as
a
counselor.
He
often
went
above
and
beyond
what
might
be
reasonably
expected
of
a
counselor
and
assisting
constituents.
F
F
G
Thank
you,
lord
murr,
on
behalf
of
the
sdlp
council
group,
can
I
extend
my
sincere
sympathies
to
councilman
mccrone's
wife
shawn,
their
children,
charmian
ruth
mathy
and
his
wider
family?
Can
he
also
extend
our
sympathies
to
his
party?
Colleagues?
On
council
junior
was
the
quiet
man
of
this
place.
He
was
a
gentleman
and
well
respected
by
all
in
this
chamber,
but
also
by
the
community.
G
He
worked
hard
to
represent,
like
others
have
said,
he
battled
his
ill
health
with
dignity
and
determination,
and
I
believe
that
was
because
of
his
character
and
the
tragic
experiences
he
had
had
in
life,
which
made
him
the
strong
character
he
was
friendly.
Lord
murr
we'd
like
to
keep
him
in
his
family
and
our
thoughts
and
prayers
in
the
days
and
weeks
ahead.
Thank
you.
Lord
mark.
H
H
I
Thank
you,
lord
mayor,
and
could
I
also
offer
my
deepest
sympathy
to
sharon
charmaine
ruth
and
matthew,
on
the
loss
of
a
husband
and
a
father,
and
indeed
to
the
wider
family
circle
junior?
As
many
have
said
tonight,
and
as
we've
read
the
tributes
over
recent
days
to
junior,
he
was
someone
who
was
greatly
respected
and
not
just
in
the
chamber,
but
also,
most
importantly
out
in
the
community
and
as
one
who
was
a
committed.
I
Junior,
never
accepted
noah,
remember
talking
to
a
public
officer
one
time
and
he
said
junior
just
didn't
accept
the
word.
No,
something
could
be
done
for
his
constituents
and,
as
as
others
have
said,
he
went
over
the
extra
mile
to
try
and
deliver
for
everyone,
no
matter
who
came
across
junior's
way
and
I've
had
managed
a
conversation
with
junior
I've.
I
And
whilst
that
wasn't
easy
for
junior,
it
wasn't
easy
for
his
family
either.
But
we
as
councillors
could
see
the
commitment
that
they
give
to
junior
and
something
which
he
greatly
respected
and
have
no
doubt
that
they're
glad
they've
done
that
to
this
day.
But
his
brother
alan
has
been
mentioned
and
there's
one
thing
for
sure
because
of
junior's
faith
he's
now
united
reunited
with
his
wee
brother
on,
and
I
think
that's
probably
the
thing
that
will
give
the
family
most
comfort
that
tonight
there's
no
suffering.
There's
no
pain.
J
Thank
you,
lord
mayor.
I
can,
I
too
be
associated
with
all
the
remarks
made
and
express
my
deepest
sympathy
and
condolences
to
sharon,
to
show
me
and
ruth
and
to
matthew
and
again
to
his
wider
family
junior.
J
It
was
one
of
those
people
in
life
who
you
could
spend
an
hour
with,
and
you
could
be
at
your
lowest
ebb
on
that
day
and
junior
had
an
incredible
ability
to
bring
appropriate
words,
and
particularly
appropriate
words
of
scripture,
to
bring
you
back
up
a
level
or
two,
and
I
had
the
pleasure
and
the
privilege
of
spending
many
days
in
the
constituency
advice
center
in
bombridge
with
junior
when
I
was
working
for
the
then
mp
david
simpson,
and
I
think
members
you
will
all
know
that
junior
had
a
very
sharp
wit
and
junior,
although
battled
ill
health
physically
mentally
junior's,
mind
remained
sharp
and
it
was
very
a
very
rare
occasion
if
the
wood
was
ever
pulled
over
junior's
eyes
and
we
know
his
tenacity.
J
J
One
of
the
one
of
the
most
significant
things
about
junior
was
junior's
faith.
The
most
important
thing
to
junior
was
junior's
faith
and
it
would
be
remiss
if
we
didn't
speak
about
that
this
evening,
because
I
think
that's
the
thing
that
he
would
want
us
to
speak
about
and
junior
had
a
hope,
and
I
hope
it
was
in
the
lord
jesus
christ
and
no
matter
where
you
were
where
he
ended
up
at
worry,
with
junior
who
he
was
with.
J
J
Man
and
that
came
from
his
faith-
and
I
recalled
on
the
way
in
in
conversation
with
country
baxter,
that
the
words
that
alderman
gladys
mccullough
spoke
when
she
left
this
place.
For
the
last
time
in
2015
justice,
craig
alvin
council
was
dissolved
and
she
said
in
her
life
that
she
had
many
titles.
She
was
an
alderman.
She
had
been
a
counselor.
J
She
was
a
daughter,
a
mother,
a
sister,
a
grandmother
she's,
but
one
title
that
she
had
in
her
life
was
more
important
than
all
the
others,
and
that
was
the
one
that
she
was
the
child
of
the
king,
the
lord
jesus
christ
and,
I
think
that's
true
of
junior
and
sharon.
When
we
spoke
the
other
day
said
in
order.
J
Junior's
faith
was
the
most
important
and
then
it
was
his
family
quite
closely
followed
by
his
country,
and
I
think
that
that
is
a
great
comfort
to
them.
I
also
think
the
words
in
first
thessalonians,
4
and
13
are
hugely
significant
for
the
family
as
well,
because
it
says
brothers
and
sisters.
We
do
not
want
you
to
be
uninformed
about
those
who
sleep
and
death
so
that
you
do
not
grieve
like
the
rest
of
mankind
who
have
no
hope
for.
J
B
K
Last
week
we
lost
not
only
a
council
party
colleague,
but
we
lost
a
good
friend
and
junior
macrom.
Personally,
I
have
known
junior
for
over
40
years.
From
the
days
we
ran
around
to
the
cleft
christian
youth
event
on
a
saturday
night
to
stock
cars
at
shamrock
park,
and
even
before
that
junior
always
gave
100
of
whatever
he
put
his
hand
to
whether
that
was
in
political
service,
whether
it
was
in
church
youth
activities
or
whether
it
was
in
family
life
at
home.
K
He
was
dependable,
trustworthy
and
conscientious
in
all
that
he
did,
and
never
more
so
in
the
last
number
of
years,
when
he
ran
the
band
bridge
constituency
office
for
david
simpson
and
from
my
colleague
alderman
sydney
anderson,
he
was
often
hampered
throughout
the
year
later
years
of
his
life
with
ill
health,
but
he
still
had
to
be
in
thick
of
it.
Junior
had
to
be
involved.
K
He
almost
had
to
be
carried
in
and
out
of
meetings
here,
but
he
wanted
to
be
here
and
wanted
to
be
involved
and
over
the
years,
all
of
us
have
memories
of
junior's
involvement.
At
election
time,
when
elections
were
called,
junior
was
the
first
one
to
be
out
on
the
road
or
on
the
doors,
and
he
would
have
been
the
last
one,
leaving
the
count
he
absolutely
loved
it.
K
K
C
C
I
have
known
junior
and
his
family
for
quite
a
while,
and
I
was
on
15
16
years
since
I
moved
back
to
the
barnbridge
area,
but
I
really
got
to
know
junior
well
since
I
joined
the
barbershop
branch
and
it
was
long
erupted,
it's
all
into
working
and
doing,
but
some
pieces
read
and
then
the
other
even
joined,
abc
council
junior
became
a
very
good
friend.
Junior
was
always
friendly
and
helpful
to
me
and
worked
together
on
council,
and
I
was
thankful
for
such
a
great
influence
that
he
was
even
in
the
council.
Here.
C
Junior
has
been
said
by
many
here
as
a
man
of
faith
and
he
never
missed
an
opportunity
to
witness
to
others
and
to
share
his
faith.
As
I
mentioned,
her
junior
is
very
proud
of
each
of
his
three
children.
I'd
love
to
talk
about
them
and
tell
you
what
they're
up
to
sharon
and
each
of
the
children
were
always
on
hand
to
help
out
when
it
comes
to
elections
and
canvassing,
and
I
for
one
was
especially
pleased
when
his
son
matthew
came
for
when
you're
putting
up
posters.
Matthew
was
always
there
to
help.
C
I
was
delighted
to
see
him
before
matthew
because
he
he
was
in
charge
so,
but
they
were
always
there
to
help
and
as
a
family,
they
had
a
loving
caring
relationship,
and
this
was
very
evident
and
even
with
each
of
the
children,
how
they
were
always
and
sharon
at
junior
side.
As
we
said
before,
laterally
and
managed
occasions
and
council
related
duties
and
events
that
were
gone
to,
sharon
was
always
there
with
junior
and
she
helped
him
along
as
his
health
had
deteriorated.
C
But
junior
was
someone
who
loved
his
ruling
council.
He
really
enjoyed
each
aspect
of
it
and
he
really
loved
helping
the
people
exactly
to
serve,
and
this
has
been
very
evident
even
over
the
last
few
days,
with
the
phone
calls
and
the
text
messages
that
the
family
date
each
one
of
us
have
received
since
junior's
passing.
We
will
miss
junior
here
in
council,
I
muslim
as
a
friend
someone
you
could
speak
to
and
he
would
give
advice
to,
and
we
just
continue
to
pray
for
sharon
and
for
three
children
the
days
that
lie
ahead.
C
L
L
And
all
I'd
be
done
with
junior.
During
my
time
I
was
an
mla
for
upper
bond.
Alderman
mccrone
was
very
much
and
has
already
been
mentioned,
an
integral
part
of
the
eup
team
in
bonnbridge
constituency
office-
and
you
know
his
connections
with
bomb
bridge
and
australian
area
proved
really
invaluable
to
me
at
that
time,
because
I
don't
think
there
was
a
road
or
lane
where
street
driving
a
junior
didn't
know
where
the
people
had
lived
on
it.
L
He
will
be
greatly
missed
by
us,
his
friends
and
party
colleagues
and
by
the
many
who
knew
him
in
politics
and
throughout
the
community,
but
most
of
all
he
will
be
missed
by
his
loving
family
to
his
wife,
sharon,
children,
charmaine,
mighty
and
ruth
and
the
weather
family
circle.
I
will
extend
my
deep
sympathy
and
trust
that
god
will
comfort
and
sustain
them
all
at
this
very
difficult
and
sad
time
on
in
the
days
ahead.
Thank
you.
M
Thank
you,
lord
mer.
I
would
like
to
offer
my
condolences
to
sharon,
to
charmian,
to
matthew
and
to
ruth
on
the
loss
of
of
junior.
I
had
the
privilege
of
serving
with
junior
for
this
past
16
years,
both
in
bambridge
and
on
the
new
council,
and
I
got
to
know
him
quite
well.
I
think
it
has
been
summed
up
here
that
he
was
a
gentleman
and
he
cared
quite
a
lot
about
his
constituents.
M
I
had
the
privilege
of
working
with
him
on
a
number
of
things
that
people
had
asked
both
junior
myself
to
try
and
deal
with,
and
he
certainly
was
a
hard
worker
for
the
people.
I
had
the
privilege,
then
of
speaking
to
him
just
a
few
weeks
ago.
I
phoned
him
to
find
out
who
he
was,
and
at
that
stage
he
wasn't
great.
M
But
a
good
friend
and
colleague
who
used
to
be
in
the
council,
jim
mcelroy
would
have
visited
junior
every
week
and
he
rang
me
to
tell
me
how
he
was
so
deeply
saddened
to
hear
last
week
that
he
had
passed
away.
M
I
would
also
offer
my
condolences
to
the
dup
who
have
lost
a
good
friend,
but
I
would
say
that
I
have
lost
a
good
friend
too,
because
junior
cared
passionately
about
the
people
and
he
certainly
worked
hard
for
them
and,
as
somebody
said
earlier
there,
it
didn't
take
no
for
an
answer,
no
matter
how
many
times
you
told
them.
So
I
would
certainly
like
to
pass
all
my
condolences
for
to
the
mccrum
family.
Thank
you.
B
Thank
you
very
much,
holden
bunch.
We
have
no
more
