A
Hi
everyone
it's
alan
explorer
from
we
critters
here.
I'm
delighted
to
welcome
you
back
to
today's
video.
If
you're
new
here
make
sure
you
check
out
our
last
video
in
this
video,
I'm
going
to
introduce
you
to
another
member
of
the
we
cutters
family,
we're
going
to
learn
about
this.
We
critters
native
cousins
and
we're
also
going
to
discover
the
species
that
live
in
our
only
country.
So
what
is
a
bird
birds
are
a
really
amazing
group
of
animals.
They
are
warm
blooded,
they
all
lay
eggs.
A
Their
bodies
are
covered
in
feathers
that
help
them
keep
warm
but
also
help
them
fly,
but
not
all
birds
can
fly.
Birds
like
ostriches
and
kiwis
and
kakapoos
can't
the
largest
bird
in
the
world
is
the
ostrich
and
they
are
over
nearly
over
two
meters
tall
and
the
smallest
bird
in
the
world
is
a
bee
hummingbird
a
bite
this
size,
so
they
come
in
all
different
shapes
and
sizes.
A
Today
we
have
got
one
of
my
favorite
recruiters
with
me
today.
This
is
dobby
and
dobby
is
a
species
of
oil
he's
called
a
white
faced
oil
funny
enough
he's
an
oil
and
he's
got
a
white
face.
So
that's.
Why
he's
called
the
white
face
oil?
A
These
guys
come
from
africa
and
he
is
fully
groomed,
so
he
won't
get
any
bigger
than
this
there's
about
200
species
of
oils
in
the
world,
the
smallest
one
being
an
elf
oil
which
is
about
the
size
about
half
the
size
of
dobby
and
the
largest
oil
in
the
world.
From
my
glove
to
about
here,
nearly
a
meter
in
size
would
be
a
balkan
stain
fish
oil,
so
they
come
in
lots
of
different
shapes
and
sizes.
A
Now,
when
we
think
about
oils,
lots
of
people
always
think
about
them
being
nocturnal,
so
that
means
they
sleep
during
the
day
and
they
come
out
during
the
night.
But
that's
not
actually
true.
Oils
can
be
awake
and
active
at
different
times
of
the
day
and
there's
a
really
easy
way
to
tell
you
can
look
at
the
color
of
their
eyes.
A
If
an
oil
has
dark
black
eyes
like
the
barn
owl,
that's
native
to
our
wee
country,
they
are
nocturnal,
they
come
out
and
they
hunt
at
nighttime
if
they've
got
yellow
eyes,
just
like
harry
potter,
snowy,
it
comes
from
the
northern
hemisphere,
okay
and
there's
only
light
for
20
or
or
it's
light
for
about
20
hours
a
day.
So
it's
dark
for
only
a
couple
hours,
so
it
wouldn't
make
sense
to
be
nocturnal.
They
are
what's
called
diurnal
and
they
hunt
during
the
day
and
they
have
bright,
yellow
eyes
and
dobby.
A
Here
you
can
see
he's
got
beautiful,
piercing,
orange
eyes
and
he's
a
big
fancy
word
a
little
explorers.
It's
called
crepuscular
and
that
actually
means
he's
active
in
the
mornings
and
evenings.
So
he
sleeps
during
the
day
and
he
sleeps
during
the
night
and
he's
active
in
the
mornings
and
evenings
now.
Orals
obviously
have
really
really
big
eyes
on
their
head.
They
can't
move
their
eyes
like
we
can.
So
if
we're
staring
at
the
head
and
look
to
the
side-
okay,
guys,
these
guys
can't
do
that.
So
you
can
see.
A
Dobby
here
is
moving
his
head
around
a
lot.
He
can
move
his
head
right
around
behind
his
body,
270
degrees,
to
look
right
behind
his
body.
We
have
an
our
neck,
seven
bone,
seven
vertebrae,
but
an
oil
has
fourteen.
So
that
means
he
can
bend
his
neck
right
around
to
make
sure
he
doesn't
have
to
move
his
body
to
see
his
prey
now.
Guys.
Oils
also
have
really
good
sense
of
hearing,
and
some
people
think
these
little
feathers
in
the
top
of
dobby's
hair
are
his
ears.
They're
not
they're.
A
Just
feather
toughs
oils
have
ear
holes,
so
they
don't
have
big
floppy
ears.
Like
me,
they
have
one
ear
hole
high
up
on
one
side,
one
low
down
another
side
and
that's
how
it
helps
them
pinpoint
where
their
prey
is
coming
from.
Now
all
birds
have
beaks
and
their
beaks
obviously
serve
the
purpose
of
trying
to
get
their
food
to
eat.
So
different
birds
have
different
cheap
beaks.
You
can
see.
A
Dobby
here
has
quite
a
large
hoof
beak
and
that's
because
he
will
hunt
and
eat
small
animals,
whether
it's
we
insects,
lizards,
snakes,
small
mammals
or
birds.
He
will
catch
them
with
his
large
claws,
his
talons
here,
and
he
will
use
that
big
to
rip
them
apart
now,
although
isles
have
really
good
long
vision,
so
they
can
see
far
away,
they
don't
can't
see
very
close
up,
so
you
can
see
in
the
front
of
dobby's
head
here.
He's
got
these
little
feathers
here
to
protect
his
beak.
A
A
The
barn
oil
they've
got
almost
like
a
heart
shape
on
their
face,
and
then
we
also
have
the
long-eared
oil,
which
is
the
most
common
species
that
we
find
in
our
country,
and
then
we
have
the
short-aired
oil,
which
only
comes
to
our
country
in
the
winter
time
from
other
parts
of
europe.
Unfortunately,
the
barn
oil
which
is
native
to
are
we
country,
is
in
a
lot
of
trouble
and
that's
because
they're
losing
a
lot
of
their
habitat.
A
There's
thought
to
be
only
30
to
50
breeding
pairs
of
barn,
owls
left
in
our
wee
country,
and
that's
very
sad
and
that's
because
they're
losing
their
habitat,
barn
owls
like
to
also
nest
and
old
barns
and
buildings
which
are
being
taken
down
and
destroyed
so
they're
running
out
of
places
to
nest.
Also,
as
we
mentioned
in
our
last
video
about
slug
pellets
that
kill
the
slugs
and
snails.
A
Some
people
also
put
down
pellets
that
kill
the
rodents
and
that's
the
food
that
the
barn
oils
eat
so
if
they
eat
that
they
also
get
sick
as
well
from
that
and
they're
not
able
to
have
their
own
young.
So
it's
so
important
guys
that
we
try
not
to
use
these
pellets
to
kill
the
rats
and
mice
in
our
garden
because
we
want
to
protect
these
endangered
animals
like
our
bone
oils.
So
today's
story,
little
explorers,
is
called
a
bit
lost
by
chris
autumn.
A
A
My
mommy
is
very
big,
like
this
said
little
oil.
Yes,
yes,
I
know,
I
know
says
squirrel
follow
me
here.
She
is
here's
your
mummy.
No
no
said
at
all.
That's
not
my
mummy.
My
mummy
has
pointy
ears
like
this.
Yes,
yes,
I
know
said
squirrel.
Follow
me
here.
She
is
here's
your
mummy.
No
no
said
the
oil,
that's
not
my
mummy.
My
mummy
has
big
eyes
like
this.
A
A
A
little
explorers
about
the
little
lifestyle
are
we
country's
birds,
in
addition
to
the
wonderful
oral
species
that
we
share,
our
home
with,
is
home
to
lots
of
brilliant
bird
species
from
sea
birds
to
birds
of
prey
to
little
feather
friends
who
visit
our
own
gardens
and
outdoor
spaces.
A
I've
been
extremely
lucky
to
travel,
to
some
amazing
places
around
the
world
and
meet
some
amazing
and
see
some
amazing
bird
species.
But
until
recently
I
had
never
been
able
to
see
a
wild
species
of
red
kite,
a
type
of
bird
of
prey
from
our
only
country.
I
was
actually
in
my
mom
and
dad's
garden
the
other
day
and
they
live
in
the
countryside
in
the
house
that
I
grew
up
in
and
all
of
a
sudden,
I
spotted
a
bird
of
prey
in
the
field
beside
the
house
and
as
it
circled
overhead.
A
I
noticed
that
it
was
a
red
kite
that
goes
to
show
that,
after
all
this
time,
you
can
always
surprise
yourself
and
see
new
species
of
bird,
whether
it's
in
an
outdoor
space
or
in
your
garden
as
well.
In
our
wee
country,
we
have
lots
of
amazing
little
bird
species
and
if
you
look
out
in
your
garden
or
local
park
or
any
outdoor
space,
you
can
go
bird
watching
and
find
some
of
these
species.
If
you
download
our
bird
watching
sheet,
you
can
have
a
look
at
the
species.
A
We've
got
on
and
see
if
you
can
spot
some
of
the
species,
whether
it's
a
robin,
a
bluetooth,
a
crew,
a
magpie,
a
wood
pigeon,
it's
really
cool
to
see
what
different
animals
you
can
find
out
in
your
in
our
own
outdoor
spaces.
Now,
unfortunately,
guys
when
it
gets
the
winter
time
a
lot
of
our
birds
start
to
get
hungry,
there's
not
as
much
food
around
for
them
to
eat,
and
so
we
can
actually
help
birds.
A
We
can
help
birds
in
our
local
gardens
by
feeding
them.
Now
you
can
get
special
bird
seed
at
pet
shops
and
stuff
like
that.
Please
don't
feed
birds
such
as
ducks
and
garden
birds,
bread
because
believe
it
or
not.
It's
actually
really
bad
for
them
and
can
make
them
sick.
It
fills
up
their
bellies,
but
doesn't
give
them
any
nutrients
or
anything
good
for
them.
So
make
sure
you
feed
them
some
proper
food
and
there's
lots
of
cool
places.
We
can
go
to
to
spot
some
really
cool
wild
birds
in
our
own
country.
A
You
can
go
to
wrathlon
island
over
by
ferry
to
see
the
wild,
puffins
or
oxford
island
to
see
the
amazing
waterfall
or
even
go
to
a
local
conservation
center,
such
as
castle
espy,
where
you
can
see
lots
of
exotic,
a
wildfire
and
ducks.
I
hope
you've
enjoyed
learning
about
dobby
the
white
face
oil
oils
in
our
countries
and
learned
a
little
bit
about
how
we
can
help
birds
in
our
own
wee
country
until
the
next
video
take
care
for.
