A
I
would
like
to
thank
everyone
who
came
out
today.
Oh
it's
a
pleasure
to
see
each
one
and
every
one
of
you
to
see
that
this
many
people
is
taking
time
to
come
out
and
honor.
The
people
who've
put
a
uniform
and
served
and
there's
a
lot
of
you
in
the
crowd
that
we're
seeing
no
and
I
want
to.
Thank
you
for
your
service
at
this
time
and
let.
A
I
would
like
to
ask
Mr
burnt,
go
to
come
up
here
to
make
our
opening
remarks
and
welcome
Mr
Brown.
B
Worn
and
still
aware,
the
uniform
of
the
U.S
military,
just
how
just
how
we
appreciate
their
sacrifice
to
to
protect
our.

C
A
Now,
if
you'll
join
me
for
Miss
Tanya
Whitney
will
lead
us
in
the
Pledge
of
Allegiance.
F
A
A
A
A
The
original
Purple
Heart
designated
as
a
badge
military
Merit
was
established
by
General
George
Washington,
the
Indie
commander
of
the
continental
army.
By
order
of
the
Newburgh
New
York
headquarters
on
7
August
1782,
the
badge
military
Merit
was
awarded
to
three
revolutionary
Soldiers
by
Washington
himself.
A
A
Many
in
anticipation
of
established
casualties
resulting
from
the
planned
invasion
of
Japan
by
the
end
of
the
war,
even
accounting
for
medals
that
were
lost,
stolen
or
wasted.
Nearly
500
000
remained
to
the
present
day.
The
total
combined
American
Military
cash
voice
over
the
70
years
following
the
end
of
World
War
II,
including
the
Korean
War,
and
the
Vietnam
War.
We
have
not
exceeded
that
number.
A
A
A
A
A
G
Good
morning,
on
behalf
of
our
chairman
of
the
Veterans
Park
committee,
Mr
Shelley
Bauer,
you
just
heard
from
and
the
other
members
of
the
Veterans
Park
welcome
you
to
the
park
and
appreciate
your
attendance
today.
It's
always
great
to
see
the
Park
full
of
people.
For
this
event,
I
have
the
task
of
introducing
the
special
guest
on
the
stage
with
me,
and
so
I'll
run
through
and
run
as
best.
C
B
Have
with
us
the
regional
director
for
U.S,
senator
John
Kennedy's
office.
G
G
You
know
about
our
Ascension
Veterans
Park
chairman
behind
him,
you've
heard
from
Pastor
Mark
starmer
with
the
church
and
then
the
next
fellow
affectionately
known
as
my
boss,
the
essential
power
superintendent
of
schools,
Mr
David,
Alexander,.
G
3693,
which
is
the
local
veterans
of
foreign
war,
post
Gonzalez,
Memorial,
post
3693,
our
current
Commander
Jared
Nolan,
talking
with
me
back
here,
is
a
Veterans
Park
Committee
Member
who's,
the
former
chairman
of
the
park.
We've
always
appreciated
talking
what
she
does
and
then
last
but
not
least
behind
me
all
the
children.
You
notice,
students
from
East,
Ascension,
High,
I,
think
they're.
All
Spartans
is
that
right,
yeah
and
and
their
choir
director,
Miss
Aaron
Perdue.
G
B
E
Thank
you
before
I
start
with
my
my
speech
and
the
words
of
Honor
I
do
want
to
say,
you
know
the
the
good
Lord
above
has
blessed
us
with
this
weather.
Today
it
is
just
a
phenomenal.
Day-To-Day
I
know
we
have
a
little
bit
of
weather
coming
into
more,
but
we
also
want
to
extend
our
prayers
out
to
the
people
in
Florida
who
is
getting
hit
with
another
major
storm
for
the
second
time
this
year.
E
E
You
know
it's
it's
it's
an
honor
and
a
privilege
to
be
here
today.
Either
you
have
served
or
you
have
family
members
who
have
served.
My
late
father
is
a
veteran
as
well
as
I
have
two
nephews
Carlisle
quentinmall,
who
is
in
the
Army
as
a
Night
Stalker,
as
well
as
Caruth
Quinton
Mall,
who
is
in
the
Air
Force
learning
drum
technology
and
becoming
a
drone
pilot.
So
it
is
and
I'm
extremely
proud
of
those
two
young
men,
and
so
it
is
an
honor
and
a
privilege
for
me
to
be
here
today.
E
So
we
come
together
to
honor
and
recognize
our
service
members.
Both
past
and
present
veterans
are
recognized
as
men
and
women
who
have
or
are
serving
and
are
American
armed
forces.
Today,
Veterans
Day
is
a
celebration
to
honor
All,
American
veterans
for
their
patriotism,
love
of
country
willingness
to
serve
and
sacrifice
for
the
common
good.
E
So
today
it
is
our
privilege
to
say
thank
you
to
all
of
our
veterans
for
your
quiet,
courage
and
service
to
let
you
know
we
are
grateful
and
acknowledge
your
many
sacrifices
and
accomplishments
veterans.
You
have
done
your
duty
to
you
and
your
families
and
our
community
and
your
Fallen
comrades
into
your
country.
E
A
Got

A
I
I'll
shorten
it
next
time.
Distinguished
yes,
ladies
and
gentlemen,
most
importantly,
our
veterans,
good
morning,
it's
great
to
be
with
you.
D
Before
I
started,
I
gotta
make
a
confession.
You
know,
because
we
have
some.
I
We
have
our
the
men
of
the
one
of
the
cloths,
some
people's
prayers.
Today,
they.
I
I
I
H
H
I
I
I
Ultimate
sacrifice
and.
I
Those
of
us
that
serve
those
men
and
women
that
serve
you
know
we
all
have
to
talk
about
monuments
and
and
and
memorials
and
great
things
that
honor
those
the
service.
But
in
the
end,
it's
about
the
people
right.
It's
about
the
people
who
served
and
sacrifice,
and
so
I.
I
I
You
know
clearly
the
problem
of
War.
It's.
B
F
I
Heard
of
him
he
spoke
to
some
students
in
August
in
1797
and
he
said
to
be
prepared.
B
E

I
I
I
I
Falling
asleep,
it's
really
hard
to
be
with
you
to
help
share
some
of
the
experiences.
B
C
I
Here,
just
down
the
road
in
Prairieville,
while
I
was
deployed.
I
I
B
I
Enemy
who
had
them
had
them
surrounded
in
that
area?
The.

I
E
I
What
was
your
high
school
in
jail?
Oh.
D
D
B
I
I
You
challenge
you
to
think
about.
Is
that
to
pretend
that
the
world
has
moved
past
nuclear
weapons.
E
B
E
I
H
I
I
To
support
defend
the
Liberties
of
freedoms
of
the
other
99.,
so
thanks
for
allowing
me
to
be
here
today,
I
hope
you
learned
something
if
not
I
hope.
You
know
that
I'm
a
big
fan
of
supporter
of
the
LSU
Tigers,
so
we
got
that
through
and
most
importantly,
it's
an
honor
to
be
able
to
celebrate
this
day
with
you
and
those
men
and
women
that
we
honor
each
and
every
day
you
know
all
they
want
to
know
is
that
man,
what
you're
doing
is
important
and
we
support
you
and
we
need
you.
Every
generation.
E
I
I
A
A
For
coming
and
sharing
his
stories
with
us
today
and
I
hope
you're
each
and
enjoyed
it
this
time,
I
would
like
to
recognize
our
veterans.

I
Thank
you
for
this
country.
Lord
come
on
just
thank
the
Lord
for
this
country.
We
indeed
live
in
a
rich
country.
A
free
country
Lord
help
us
keep
it
free,
so
Lord
as
we
move
forward
to
the
future,
help
us
to
be
strong.
Help
us
to
be
brave,
help
us
O
Lord
to
always
defend
freedom
to.
E
C
C
A
We
come
to
the
close
of
our
ceremony
for
the
day,
I'd
like
to
remind
everyone
that
on
Sunday
afternoon,
starting
at
about
noon,
we're
going
to
gather
up
and
we
have
a
Veterans
Day
Parade.
It
will
start
moving
on
at
two
o'clock
this
evening.
At
six
o'clock
there
is
a
flag
retirement
ceremony
put
on
by
post
65
over
France
wall
being
so,
if
you'd
like
to
participate
in
that,
you
are
welcome
to
come
and
join
those
people
over
there
for
the
retiring
of
the
all
of
the
flags.
