C
I
see
you
there
all
right
we're
going
to
continue.
We
do
have
a
quorum,
so
we
can
get
going
good
afternoon.
I'm
chair
darren
green,
and
I
would
like
to
welcome
you
to
the
august
12
2021
asheville
area
river
redevelopment
commission
meeting.
The
purpose
of
the
aarrc
is
to
recommend
to
the
city
and
county
an
overall
policy
for
the
continued
development
and
sustainability
of
the
regional
riverfront.
C
The
commission
provides
recommendations
to
the
city
and
county
for
effective
management
of
the
public
resources
for
the
districts
and
actively
pursues
and
assists
private
sector
investments
in
the
districts.
Commission
is
made
up
of
14
members
representing
the
city
of
asheville,
the
council
of
independent
business
owners,
riverlink
asheville
city
council,
buncombe,
county
commission
and
the
town
of
woodfin.
Our
committees
consist
of
excuse
me:
we've
just
changed.
The
committees
just
confirm
the
names
the
committees
consist
of
the
mobility
and
transportation
connections
committee
and
the
public
safety,
river
recreation
and
water
quality
committee.
C
C
F,
this
will
be
a
remote
meeting
with
the
with
which
the
public
can
access
by
any
of
the
following
means.
We
are
streaming
live
on
our
virtual
engagement
hub
hub,
which
is
accessible
through
the
virtual
engagement
hub
link
on
the
front
page
of
the
city
website,
and
also
linked
on
the
committee
page.
C
C
C
Callers
will
hear
an
automated
message,
letting
them
know
they
are
unmuted
and
live
in
the
meeting.
Callers
may
begin.
Speaking
after
the
automated
message.
If
the
caller
accidentally
drops
out
of
the
speaker
cube,
please
redial
the
number
of
the
meeting
code
press,
star,
3
to
rejoin
the
speaker,
queue
to
be
reconnected,
all
right,
we're
going
to
move
on.
C
A
C
C
I'm
not
getting
an
answer
from
buck
bragg
joe
ransmeier.
B
F
Approve
and
darren
there's
a
message
in
the
chat
from
buck
saying
his
audio
is
apparently
not
working,
but
he's
he's
here.
G
C
D
Okay,
thank
you,
chair
green.
I
will
share
my
screen.
D
And
when
I
do
that,
I
won't
be
able
to
see
you
all
okay,
so
here
we
are
so
yes,
so
new
belgium,
brewing
is,
has
applied
to
put
a
canopy
over
an
already
existing
seating
area
and
they're
also
expanding
slightly
expanding
the
deck
on
the
rear
of
the
building.
D
I
know
they've
presented,
I
believe,
they've
presented
at
the
leadership
round
table.
I
don't
know
if
they've
done
that
at
radba,
but
basically
this
is
an
already
existing
seating
area,
so
they're
not
really
adding
capacity
to
the
brewery,
and
so
it's
not
really
triggering
any
big
larger
reviews.
So
this
is
really
just
a.
We
did
have
them
go
through
design
review,
though
we
you
know,
as
we're,
making
other
breweries
go
through
similar
reviews
for
when
they're,
adding
canopies
and
shade
structures.
D
So
they're
adding
the
shade
structure
here.
It's
rectangular.
It
also
has
some
heaters
underneath
it,
which
obviously
makes
it
a
little
bit
easier
to
be
out
there
when
it's
chillier,
they've,
provided
you
know,
materials
in
this
packet
there's
also
a
second
shade
structure
over
here
on
the
side,
we're
adding.
I
think
the
fire
pit
is
already
there
they're,
adding
some
seat.
Walls.
D
D
D
And
that's
pretty
much
it
I'm
happy
to.
I
know:
stephanie
shared
with
you
all
this
impacts
checklist,
I'm
happy
to
have
this
up
or
have
the
drawings
up,
and
I
can
take
questions
or
comments.
This
will
be
at
the
design
review
committee
next
thursday
for
a
formal
review,
and
that's
pretty
much
all
I
have
I
mean
I
think
staff
is
supportive
of
it.
D
It's
really
just
it's
something
they've
explained
to
me
that
it's
something
they
originally
wanted
to
do
when
they
first
opened
new
belgium,
but
it
got
you
know
what
we
call
value
engineered
out.
You
know
basically
kind
of
probably
met
budget
and
they
couldn't
keep
going
so
they're
really
just
coming
back
and
and
finishing
this
and
the
other
thing
I
should
mention
that,
maybe
most
of
you
know
that
they
are
adding
some
tanks
to
the
brewery
itself
and
those
tanks
were
approved
as
a
part
of
the
conditional
use
permit
back
in
2012
2013.
D
D
So
just
mentioning
that
in
passing
so
chair
green,
I
don't
know
if
you
want
to
call
on
folks
or
if
folks
have
any
questions
or
comments.
A
Still,
this
is
the
sage
still
being
fairly
new
to
design
review
with
this
board
or
I'm
sorry,
not
design
review
project
review.
Is
there
anything?
I
was
a
little
surprised
that
we
were
having
to
review
just
an
additional
kind
of
structure
overhead.
So
what
is
this
just
a
requirement
that
any
covered
area
be
reviewed.
D
Well,
it's
kind
of
a
you
know
if
it
was
under.
If
it
was
like,
you
know,
a
square
footage
change
of
under
1500
square
feet.
We
wouldn't
be
bringing
it.
You
know
to
the
design
review
committee,
you
know
when
we
start
getting
over
1500
square
feet
in
accessory
structures
or
things
like
that.
That's
when
we're
reviewing
them.
So
the
threshold
is
kind
of
low.
D
B
Okay,
darren,
I
think
this
may
have
partly
come
about
because
of
the
need
to
have
more
outdoor
outdoor
space
with
the
continuing
pandemic,
which
was
one
thought
I
had.
I
mean
it
may
have
been
part
of
their
original
design.
I
don't,
I
don't
have
any
problem
with
it.
I
think
it's
attractive
and
it
is
some
additional
decking
there
along
the
river
river
side
of
the
improvement.
So
I
I
think
it's
in
good
taste.
D
You're
testing
my
knowledge
here
I
mean
it
looks
like
a
fabric
to
me.
E
That's
what
I
was
wanting
with
the
fire
pit
that
close
if
it
was
some
type
of
fire
retardant
material.
I.
D
D
B
C
Well,
if
there's
no
more
questions
or
comments
sasha,
let's
can
you
pull
up
the
the
sheet?
The
impacts
checklist
I
just
want
to
have
everybody
have
an
opportunity
to
comment
or
question
this
document
that
steph
has
put
together.
I
think
this
is
one
of
those
documents
that
we
will
certainly
want
to.
You
know,
review
and
edit
as
we
as
we
review
more
projects
and
different
kinds
of
questions,
and
things
come
up,
so
I
thought
it
was
a
heck
of
a
good
starting
point.
C
I
think
it's
extremely
thorough,
steph
and
her
team
did
a
great
job
I
think
putting
this
together.
So
if
you
haven't
read
through
it,
take
a
minute
not
necessarily
now
but
at
some
point
and
review
it,
because
it
does
do
a
really
good
expansive
job.
C
C
J
I
mean,
I
think,
it's
great,
to
have
a
guide
like
this
just
and
it's
nice
to
have
something
consistent
for
all
of
us
to
visit,
I
mean
no
project
can
be
all
things
to
everyone,
as
we
all
know,
and
when
we
try
to
do
that,
you
can't
have
any
projects,
because
nothing
can
meet
that,
but
it's
great
to
have
inspirational.
J
You
know
goals
to
follow.
In
my
opinion,
of
course,
this
is
all
my
opinion.
C
We
are
very
opinionated,
commission,
that's
that's
what
we're
all
about
right.
I
did
like
the
the
addition
and
the
the
inclusion
of
the
the
deai
component
of
it.
I
thought
that
was
something
that
we
rarely
at
times.
We
will
talk
about
it,
especially
when
it
has
to
do
with
some
south
side
parcels,
but
I
thought
that
was
really
appropriate
and
something
that
we
will
I'm
sure
consider
to
look
at
more
closely
as
as
new
projects
come
up.
C
So
hopefully,
you've
all
had
a
chance
to
review.
I
sent
out
a
document
sasha,
maybe
you
can
you
pull
that
up?
Thank
you
and
it's
just
a
very
simple
again.
C
I
expect
this
to
be
a
fluid
working
document
that
can
be
edited
and
added
to
nothing
fancy,
but
I
wanted
to
try
to
collect
the
committees,
the
purpose,
the
concerns,
the
goals
into
into
a
document
that
we
could
all
work
off
of.
I
think
the
next
version
of
this,
or
in
addition
to
this,
would
be
to
have
some
sort
of
a
where
we
are
in
the
process
of
these
of
these
of
these
goals
and
and
where
each
committee
is
on
these
goals.
C
So
I
know
that
the
transportation
mobility
connections
committee
has
met
and
I'd
like
to
take
this
opportunity
to
give
the
give
the
floor
to
tim,
to
give
us
an
overview
of
what
that
committee
discussed
and
that
that
information
will
be
added
to
that
sheet.
C
I
We
had
a
meeting
david
brown
was
there
samantha
cole,
christy
quinn
and
I
and
and
steph,
and
we
began
a
discussion
about
parking
transportation.
I
You
know
some
of
the
outcomes
that
we'd
like
to
get
to
and
we
broke
it
down
into
two
two
groups:
we've
been
working
for
a
little
while
actually
chairman,
green
green,
and
I
on
the
idea
of
a
trolley
between
the
museum
and
the
river
arts
district
to
alleviate
some
of
the
parking
get
people
down
there
in
an
easier
way.
I
So
that
committee
will
be
darren
myself
and
and
council
person
turner
though
she
might
not
know
that
yet
she's
on
that
group,
hopefully
that's
okay,
there's.
I
That's
we're
asking
patty
torno
and
mike
sewell
to
to
be
at
large
members.
Patty
has
done
a
lot
of
work
with
the
flood
plain
situation
working
with
biltmore
village
and
she
living
down
there.
She's
gathered
a
lot
of
information,
so
she
and
christy
quinn
will
dig
into
that
just
to
find
out
how
the
city
can
alert
us
when
roads
be
open
and
closed.
What's
being
done
about
the
places
that
do
flood,
we
did
talk
about
keeping
track
of.
I
C
C
I'll
add
a
couple
things
that
I
know
have
been
have
been
discussed
and
I'll
reiterate:
the
the
maintenance
of
both
the
you
know,
mostly
the
city-owned
property
that
continues
to
be
a
challenge,
and
maybe
councilwoman
turner
can
can
help
get
that
figured.
You
know,
get
that
get
a
schedule
more
consistent
with
the
maintenance
along
the
greenway
we've
heard
equipment
is
not
operating
properly
and
that's
led
to
some
delays
in
the
maintenance.
C
There
continues
to
be
graffiti
issues.
You
know
around
the
district
along
a
lot
of
the
d.o.t
under
the
bridge,
there's
the
new
retaining
wall
on
riverside
drive
that
has
been
tagged
and
there's
been
no
attention
to
that.
To
remove
that
graffiti
and
as
we
all
know,
if
you
leave
graffiti
up,
it
invites
more
graffiti,
and
so
I
think
we're
going
to
be
leaning
on
on
the
city
for
for
help
in
maintaining
continuing
to
help
maintain
those
issues.
C
J
C
A
Thank
you,
I'm
just
curious.
This
is
how
it.
C
Well,
I
think
what
I
think,
in
short,
we're
what
I'm
hearing
from
the
business
owners
down
in
the
rad
is
that
there
is
a
deep
concern
that
that
there
won't
be
the
the
maintenance
of
the
greenway
that
that
I
think
folks
expect
and
that
there's
a
chance
that
trees
will
start
dying.
That
shrubs
will
start
dying,
that
there
will
be
out
of
control
weeds
that
the
grass
won't
get
mowed.
B
All
right,
joe,
I
have
a
question
there
and
I
don't
know
who
maybe
sage
would
know
the
answer
to
this
or
sasha.
Maybe
I
noticed
in
front
of
the
river
view
station.
There
is
a
tree
that
was
apparent
like
one
of
the
new
trees.
It
looks
like
a
red
bud
tree
he's
apparently
hit
by
a
car
and
knocked
over,
but
it's
not
dead
and
I
think
with
a
little
attention.
It
might
be
saved.
B
But
it's
been
like
that
for
over
a
week-
and
you
know
in
this
kind
of
leaning
position
with
half
of
its
roots
exposed-
and
I
mean
is
that
the
kind
of
thing
we
just
need
volunteers
to
do
or
or
does
the
city
have
a
somewhat
of?
G
G
I'm
not
sure
I
would
think
that's
the
type
of
thing
in
the
asheville
app
where
you
should
be
able
to
report
a
tree
issue,
and
so
that
certainly
never
hurts.
But
on
this
particular
item
we
have
that
update.
G
A
A
B
I
I
have
used
it
before
for
usually
reporting
water
leaks
and
things
like
that
where
I
see,
but
it's
a
good
idea
that
would
it
usually
gets
the
response
quite
quickly.
One
thing
is
that
it'll
say
that
it's
been
resolved
and
that
doesn't
really
mean
it's
been
fixed.
It
just
means
they've
signed
someone
to
say
about
it.
So
anyway,
once
I
got
past
that
it
worked,
it
works.
C
And
I
think
sage,
you
were
off
the
line,
but
I
had
said
that
I,
my
belief
from
having
conversations
with
business
owners
in
the
district
primarily,
is
that
there's
going
to
be
a
there's
going
to
continue
to
be
a
concern
on
the
maintenance
of
the
greenway
and
anything
that
you
can
do
to
relay
that
message
to
city
council
would
be
greatly
appreciated.
We
you
know
so
much
has
been
invested,
not
only
money
but
time
and
effort
and
there's
a
there
was
patty
torno.
For
example.
C
She
put
together
a
not
it
wasn't,
I
don't
think
a
fundraiser,
but
people
were
have
purchased
private
trees
to
plant
along
the
greenway,
and
so
there's
a
concern
that
some
of
these
newly
planted
trees
and
shrubs
may
not
survive
the
overgrowth
of
weeds
and
mowing
and
those.
I
C
I
don't
know
that
it's
a
committee
issue,
but
I
think
it's
a.
I
think
it's
just
an
overall
discussion
for
this
group
to
have
because
there's
other
parts
of
the
district
that,
for
instance,
the
klingman
avenue
median
and
roadway
there
has
been
maintained
by
radba
every
year
at
the
you
know,
at
the
cost
of
I
don't
know
patio
timing
2500
a
year
or
something
for
the
past
10
years,
and
so
those
are
all
you
know
our
dues
100
a
year
dues
pay
for
that.
So
we
want.
C
No,
I
think
you
know,
I
just
think,
there's
a
concern
there
that
the
same
type
of
thing
could
inevitably
happen,
and
we
just
don't
have
the
funds
to
maintain
that
that
large
of
a
piece
of
land
and
people
are
clearly
using
it
and
enjoying
it
and
it's
a
real
asset.
And
so
we
don't
want
to
see
this
asset
not
maintained.
E
Darren,
I
would
be
glad
to
meet
with
d.o.t
people
who
I
know
fairly
well,
if
I
could
take
christie
quinn
along
with
me,
she's,
so
persuasive
in
the
way
she
approaches,
ideas
and
she's
so
close
to
the
240
bridge.
H
E
I
Schaller
so
david,
what's
worked
in
other
places
in
the
district
is
the
mural.
You
know,
because
what
happens
if
you
clean
up
graffiti
it
gets
painted
over
murals,
do
seem
to
get
some
respect
from
some
tigers.
So
it's
a
possibility.
Absolutely.
C
Well,
thank
you
all
for
your
ideas
and
your
interest
and
commitment
to
keeping
the
district
maintained
and
clean
and
it's
a
it's
a
wonderful
place
as
we
all
can
agree.
C
If
there's
are
there
any
other
comments
or
questions
as
it
relates
to
the
impacts
checklist.
C
Okay,
so
the
public
safety,
river
recreation,
water
quality
committee
we'll
be
meeting
monday
august
16th
at
12..
It's
a
virtual
meeting
and
I
I
look
forward
to
that
as
well
and
to
see
what
kinds
of
goals
and
ideas
that
group
comes
up
with
as
well.
B
C
B
The
close
the
gap
group
is
having
a
they're
interviewing
people.
It
was
tuesday
and
this
event
again
saturday
we're
asking
people
to
volunteer
for
a
two-hour
shift
to
interview
people
who
are
using
the
green
light
as
a
way
of
you
know,
gathering
information
and
and
confirming
how
how
it's
being
used
and
what's
how
it's
valuable
to
people.
C
B
It's
kind
of
morphed
out
of
the
greenway
master
plan
committee
and
the
accessibility
committee
and
the
transportation
and
pedestrian
group.
Those
three
have
come
together
and
and
have
a
group
that
I'm
actually
representing
the
aarrc
on,
although
we
haven't
only
met,
I
think
once
in
the
past
year
and
a
half,
but
I
I
did
get
an
email
saying
that
they're
seeking
volunteers
and
you
can
sign
up
for
a
two-hour
shift
to
interview
people
on
the
greenway
who
are
using
the
greenway.
B
They
have
a
need
to
or
a
desire
to
find,
more
information
about,
who's
using
it
and
but
you'll
have
to
you'll
have
to
get
them
to
stop
skateboarding
or
whatever.
To
talk
to
you.
But
anyway,
I
just
thought:
I'd
mention
that.
C
D
D
You,
let's
see
so
this
is
that's
the
schedule,
so
there
are
some
blanks
here,
and
this
is
from
a
few
days
ago,
but
so
they
do
probably
still
need
people.
H
D
D
C
D
B
Yeah
they're
both
involved
and
then
okay,
and
also
the
americans
with
disability.
That's
also
part
of
it.
C
Let's
move
on
to
the
design
review
board,
I
know
jeremy,
you
have
pleaded
with
getting
some
feedback
there.
We
go
jeremy.
You
have
pleaded
with
this
group
to
add
one
more
member
to
the
to
the
design
review
board.
J
I'm
pretty
sure
we
have,
we
had
a
meeting
in
july.
What
did
we
review?
We
did
the
was
it
the
riverlink
property
that
we
did
then
or
no
pretty
cool
project.
We
didn't
the
moxie
hotel,
we've
done
the
next
to
the
aloft.
J
We
had
a
pre-look
at
a
pretty
cool
project,
interesting
project
downtown
on
millard
right
coming
up
with,
there
looks
like
there's
some
facade
changes
on
18,
broad
street
new
belgians
projects
going
to
come
up
that
that
micro
unit
project
next
to
david's
old
building
and
217
hillyard.
J
J
C
A
I
don't
have
any
details
to
share
yet,
but
in
general
I
mean
maybe
sasha
has
more
because
she's
lit
on
this,
but
in
general
I
do
expect
it
to
come
to
us.
I
believe
in
september
we
have
it
slated
and
it
could
open
up
anything.
Frankly,
I
don't
know
if
there's
been
some
existing
parameters
designed,
I
haven't
seen
any
kind
of
reporting
out.
Yet
I've
just
got
my
own
little
list.
Building.
D
Really
under
the
city
update,
but
that's
fine,
we
can
blend
them
so
yeah
we
are.
Staff
is
coming
back
to
city
council
with
an
update
like
a
six
month,
update
on
the
hotel
regs
at
september
14th
meeting,
and
we
will
kind
of
let
them
know
about
any
issues
that
are
going
on
and
kind
of.
Let.
D
Direction
and
then,
if
if
we
were
going
to
and
really
the
there's,
there's
not
a
lot
of
issues
frankly
I
mean
one
issue:
is
some
definitions
around
extended
stay
and
how
we
define
that
and
then
there's
another
issue
with
this
seat
right.
So
if,
if
this
isn't
working
to
have
four
seats
from
this
commission,
you
know,
should
it
change,
and
I
think
if
before
we
go
back
to
city
council
with
any
definite
recommendations,
we
would
come
to
you
all
and
talk
with
you
about
it.
D
So
we're
just
really
giving
a
kind
of
a
high
level
overview
to
council
in
september
and
letting
us
letting
them
tell
us
what's
where
they
want
to
go.
C
D
So
if
we
wanted
to
put
a
bike
rental
on
the
greenway
or
if
we,
you
know
something
like
that,
that
we're
able
to
do
that.
But
at
the
same
time
that
there's
a
reassurance
to
the
community
that
we're
preserving
open
space
for
the
long
term,
and
I
think
the
other
piece
of
that
is
exempting-
and
it
may
be
changing
the
zoning
of
the
grant
center
parcel
and
the
fire
station.
D
C
Yeah,
that's
that's.
That
is
mainly
the
gist
I
did
ask
vadilla
to
if
he
was
able
to
just
let
this
group
know
how
much
taking
you
know
taking
out
the
the
flood
way
component
of
all
these
open
space
parcels,
how
much
land
was
actually
buildable
in
acres,
and
I
believe
it's
with
the
exception
of
the
the
the
two
parcels
the
city-owned
wesley
grant
and
the
fire
station
that
it's
the
jetty
rays.
The
previous
proposed
jetty
raised
site
144
riverside
that
tiny
little
piece
may
be
the
only
sliver
of
privately
owned
land.
C
I
don't
know
if
there's
any
other,
that's
it
so!
But
yeah
you
did
thank
you.
You
did
a
good
job
of
explaining
12
hour
and
a
half
meetings
into
two
sentences
or
whatever
it
was.
B
D
D
D
So
if
you're
a
private
landowner
on
a
different,
not
an
open
space
zoning,
you
won't
have
to
have
that
open
space
requirement
for
future
development
and
in
part,
because
you
know
we're
doing
the
math
and
saying
you
know,
we've
got
all
this
open
space
and
that's
why
we,
that
is
in
part,
why
we
wrote
it
that
way.
So,
yes,.
C
Yeah
that's
been
exempted
from
the
river
arts
district.
The
there
will
be
some
change
of
language
in
the
form
based
code
about
what's
allowed
on
open
space
and
some
of
the
impervious
require
allowances.
J
E
C
C
A
Well,
you
know
the
update
about
the
hotel
review
was
one
of
the
things,
I'm
not
sure
if
everyone's
heard,
but
this
coming
tuesday,
the
county
commission
will
hear
about
a
vote
on
a
potential
indoor
mask
requirement
for
the
county,
and
I
think
I
can
say
this
publicly.
We
already
have
support
for
this.
On
council.
We
were
waiting
to
align
partnership
with
the
county,
and
now
that
that
has
happened,
the
city
will
also
align
and
do
the
same
so
that
could
be
as
early
as
next
tuesday.
A
If
you
want
you
can
email,
city,
council
and
county
commissioners
to
encourage
them
to
vote.
Yes,
other
things,
you
know
it's
during
the
summer
we
only
meet
once
a
month,
so
there
isn't
a
lot
a
ton
of
activity
and
some
of
the
other
things
we're
working
on
are
the
big
projects
over
in
charlotte
street
and
such
so
nothing
really
near
the
river.
I
will
say
that
the
short-term
rental
conversation,
the
expansion
of
units
to
homestay
is
coming
back
around
and
there
is
talk
around
you
know.
A
Is
it
expanded
to
areas
has
expanded
the
kitchens
and
there
has
been
mentions
of
using
hotel
or
lodging
districts,
so
that
could
come
back
to
us
and
if
it
does,
we
will
certainly
I
or
staff
could
probably
circle
back
with
you
about
that
to
get
your
input
other
than
that,
I
don't
think
I
have
anything
really
relevant
to
the
river
at
this
time
other
than
trying
to
encourage
one
more
of
you
to
join
the
design
committee.
C
Thank
you
for
that
plug
that
push,
and
thank
you
for.
H
J
I
mean,
in
my
opinion
again
when
they
go
to
review
this,
then
they're,
going
to
open
up
the
community
you're
going
to
get
people
who
have
nothing
to
do
with
the
river
who
are
going
to
have
a
say
in
what's
happening
with
the
river
and
we're
giving
them
the
ammunition
to
say.
Look,
we
can't
even
staff
it
completely
with
the
river
commission,
so
why
should
we
require
it?
J
Yeah
yeah,
I'm
just
wondering
that's
a
possible
risk
could
be
hey.
Let's
maybe
we
thought
about
this
all
wrong.
Maybe
we
shouldn't
fill
it.
Maybe
we
should
just
fill
it
randomly
throughout
the
community
and
you
don't
necessarily
have
stakeholders
or
people
who
are
as
interested
in
the
river
that
are
now
having
you
know
a
stay
in
the
river.
That's
all
it
may
not
happen
you.
You
know
more
than
I'm
here,
you're
you're
pulling
the
levers,
I'm
just.
A
A
I've
heard
the
impact
from
this
board
and
I
think
we
just
we
need
to
get
that
committee
fully
operating
and
functioning
with
all
the
members.
So
if
we
need
to
talk
about
it,
we'll
talk
about
it.
B
You
know
landscape,
architects
or
whoever
that
we
had
invited
to
to
join
our
design
review
committee.
Could,
if
we
don't
have
enough
of
ourselves,
could
we
you
know,
ask
someone
from
our
area
that
we
thought
would
would
contribute
and
represent
us
that
be
accepted.
A
I
mean,
I
think,
that's
one
of
the
ideas
that
came
up
before
and
I
know
some
counselors
particularly
myself
were
concerned
that
with
so
much
change
in
the
moratorium-
and
you
know
essentially
going
from
a
completely
controlled
environment
where
even
you
know,
a
few
number
of
rooms
was
reviewed
by
council.
A
There
was
some
concern
that
passing
off
the
appointment
of
those
seats
that
would
review
those
hotels
was
too
far
removed
from
council.
So
we,
you
know
relinquished
control,
gave
it
some
guidelines,
but
I
know
I
was
concerned,
and
I
thought
that
I
you
know
was
supporting
y'all
in
this-
that
you
wanted
to
maintain
the
design
review
amongst
yourselves.
There
was
concern
that
you
know.
Suddenly
people
would
be
appointed
that
council
never
knew
applied
or
had
seen
or
reviewed,
and
it
was
a
very
big
piece
and
change
in
the
community.
A
So
you
know,
as
things
have
changed
and
months
have
passed
and
design
reviews
happen.
Maybe
that
won't
feel
as
important
as
a
when
we
review
it,
but
that
is
where
that
came
from
normally
for
these
larger
boards,
like
planning
and
zoning
and
things
and
downtown
commission
the
ones
that
do
the
heavy
lifting
council
appoints
them
directly
and
reviews
and
interviews
them
so
that
twice
removed
thing
was
a
concern.
H
F
I
Be
nice
to
have
it
this
way
you
know
my
own
cop
out
on
it
is
I'm
on
the
executive
committee
of
this
works
and
I
have
a
business,
and
you
know
now
that
this
has
become
a
bigger
responsibility,
but
I
I
like
the
idea
of
the
commission
approving
collectively
somewhere.
I
mean
that
that.
H
A
Well,
maybe
there's
a
happy
media,
maybe
the
the
board
moves
to
a
to
an
at-large
position
from
each.
You
know
one
from
downtown
one
from
river
there's
three
of
each
and
then
that
large
for
each
or
something
or
two
at
large,
but
then
you
know
typically
the
board,
like
you
all,
would
still
weigh
in
you
know
when
someone
when
we're
about
to
potentially
appoint
people
to
a
pretty
powerful
board,
I
call
the
chair
and
say:
well
what
are
you
thinking
you
know?
Have
you
all
talked
about
it?
A
C
Thank
you,
I'm
sorry,
my
my
internet
seems
to
be
a
little
unstable,
so
I
turn
my
camera
off.
Hopefully
you
all
can
hear
councilwoman
turner
did
you
did
you
have
any
other
updates.
H
C
Okay,
thank
you,
commissioner.
Sloane
is
not
here
so
sasha,
I'm
going
to
ask
if
we
had
any
have
any
call
in
live
public
comment
and.
