A
B
A
Well,
I
think
I
mean
I
think
we
have
to
get
to
the
idea
of
communicating
why
you
know
why
do
I
have
to
why
do
I
have
to
ride
slowly
I
mean
we
know
from
from
from
traffic
that
speed
limits
do
little
or
nothing
it's
either
enforcement
or
it's
design.
B
A
And
so
we're
really
not
we're
not
talking
about
vehicular
behaviors
we're
talking
about
human
behavior,
and
so,
if
we
can
do
something
that
cultivates,
like
you
know,
etiquette,
there's
a
reason.
We
don't
lick
our
hands
in
public
while
we're
eating
in
a
restaurant,
because
it's
so
unacceptable.
You
know
to
do
that.
A
A
You
know,
I
think,
a
lot
of
people
don't
know
that
it
is
it's.
It
threatens
the
safety
of
others
to
walk
your
dog
on
a
retractable
leech.
Yes,
we're
not
making
that
right,
and
I
mean
I
ride
with
a
lot
of
friends
who
are
you
know
the
strong
and
fearless
riders
and
they
don't
ride
with
bike
bells
and
right
and
I'd
like
you
know,
I
encourage
it
over
and
over
again.
A
So
we,
if
we
establish
that
our
I
think
what
we
want
to
do
with
the
signs-
is
really
establish
the
standards
for
being
on
the
greenway
for
acting
in
public.
B
A
I
know
bike
pittsburgh
has
done
some
things
like
that,
where
they,
whether
they've
done
it
like
a
30.
Second
video
on
how
to
use
a
left
turn
queue
right,
which
is
in
that
it's
kind
of
this
weird
facility
to
make
a
right
turn
anyway,
and
so
like
there
are
in
places
where
we
know.
There's
pinpoints
like
when
you're,
when,
for
instance,
when
cyclists
are
merging
from
the
protected
bike
lane
onto
the
greenway
like
a
30.
Second
of
this
is
why
you
slow.
This
is
how
you're
checking-
and
this
is
what
you're
doing
so.
D
Could
we
use
any
elements
of
tactile
urbanism
where
the
entries
are
like
in
the
busier
spots
in
the
river
arts
district?
There's
that
spot
right
by
the
craven
bridge,
that's
kind
of
high
traffic
people
getting
on
and
off?
D
A
Yes,
I
think
so
I
don't
think
we're
there
yet.
I
think
we
have
to
do
a
lot
more
dialing
in
on
where
and
how
to
address
it.
You
know,
but
certainly
like
surface
treatments
to
the
greenway
could
be.
I
mean
there
are
some
design
standards
for
that.
E
It
seems
to
me
we
could
use
the
media
when
we're
at
a
place
where
we
know
what
we
want
to
say
and
what
we
expect
that
I
mean
wls
could
run
a
little
quick
thing
or
you
know
use
things
like
avl
today.
Just
you
can
go
to
a
link.
I
I
think
you
know
to
get
it
out
there.
I
think
the
idea
of
video
and
community
engagement
is
good
to
use
the
media
once
we
figure
it
out.
E
D
Yeah
they're
posted
throughout
you
know
because
it
madison
is
so
networked
with
its
greenways
or
there
they
call
them
bike
pads,
but
yeah.
They
have
them
kind
of
scattered
throughout
yeah.
I
think
keeping
it
simple
and
I
agree
with
like
not
being
authoritative
but
rather
just
like
informative
and
maybe
using
language
like
our
greenways.
D
I
like
that
about
the
city
of
asheville,
like
welcome
to
your
city
of
asheville
park.
I'm
like
thank
you.
It
is
mine,
but
you
know,
like
certain
language
choices,
maybe
might
emphasize
what
we're
trying
to
say
which
is
like
we're.
Not.
We
want
people
to
learn
but
not
make
it
too
confusing
or
verbose
and
yeah.
It
will
always
you.
F
D
A
A
Yeah,
I
mean
just
as
a
jumping
off
point
all
of
those
things,
and
you
know,
like
those
you
know,
stay
right.
Past
left
notify
others.
I
mean,
I
think
that's
perfect,
word
choice.
I
mean
economy
of
language
and
it
could
be
the
the
design
could
be
reinforced
like
stay
right.
Past
left.
You
know
that
could
be
an
e-bike
passing
a
parent
with
a
child
yeah
you're.
A
You
know
and
then
there
and
then
there
are
some
things
like
you
know:
cyclists
should
be
riding
with
lights,
but
on
the
greenway,
a
bike
bell
is,
you
know
it's.
F
D
Right,
but
that's
also
something
where
there's
a
misconception
among
some
people,
that
a
bike
that
ringing
your
bell
is
rude
because
again,
it's
not
well
established
here,
but
I've
had
people.
I've
been
on
my
bike
with
people
and
used
my
bell
and
kind
of
have
them
look
at
me.
You
know
in
this
way,
that's
like
I'm,
not
alerting
them.
No.
D
G
F
B
Every
time
I've
ridden
right
run
my
bell
people
always
thank
me
for
doing
it.
Yeah.
D
Not
every
time
for
me
I
mean
sometimes
people
just
look
or
whatever,
but
yeah.
I
have
had
instances
where
I've
thought,
like
maybe
that
seemed
rude
for
me
to
like
ring
my
bell
like
in
their
perception
of
it,
which
is
all
just
to
say
like
for
there
were
signs
that
are
indicating
like
encouraging
that
you
know
as
a
way
of
notifying.
It
might
also
help
pedestrians
who
are
less
familiar
with
walking.
F
B
H
Yeah
right
right
and
I
agree
with
kristen-
I
I
personally
like
when
somebody
rings
the
bell,
so
I
know
they're
coming,
but
if
you
don't
know
that,
that's
that
they're,
just
notifying
you
not
just
you
know,
trying
to
move
you
away
like
hawking
a
horn.
So
I
think
any
signs
that
say
you
know
ring
your
bell.
H
D
It
seems
like
we
need
to
address
the
dog
leash
issue,
but
then
again
diplomatically,
but
it
sounds
like
some
of
you
have
voiced
that
you've
even
just
experienced
that
yourselves
with
retractable
dog
leashes,
and
I
guess
yeah
the
framing
of
it
again,
keeping
it
in
positive
terms,
but
how
to
say
that
keep
your
dog
on
a
leash,
a
close
leash.
B
H
One
of
the
problems
with
retractable-
and
I
use
a
retractable
dog
leash
I'll
admit
it
right
off
the
bat
one
of
the
problems
with
them,
though,
is
they're,
usually
just
a
black
cord.
So
you
can't
see
them.
You
know
a
standard
dog
leash.
I
have
light
colored
ones
and
they're.
You
know
half
an
inch.
Three
quarter
inch
wide
and
they're
visible,
but
the
retractable
dog
leashes.
It
would
be
pretty
easy
for
a
bicycle
to
be
riding
and
not
see
the
dog
and
run
across
the
leash.
A
Yeah,
I
I
agree,
and
that's
where
you
go
with
the
idea
of
like
hey,
use
a
retractable
leash,
but
if
the
standard
is
when
you're
on
the
greenway,
your
dog
should
be
close
enough.
That
you
can
touch
your
pet
or
you
know,
then
you
can
have
it
retracted
and
when
you
step
off-
and
you
want
to,
you
know-
give
the
dog
a
lead.
You
know
so
we're
not
trying
to
regulate
the
the.
F
A
Got
eight
feet
to
work
with
and
we
have
limited
greenway.
So
all
of
the
greenways
that
we
do
have
the
the
usage
is
going
to
be
intensified.
I
B
B
I
have
neighbors,
who
don't
think
about
the
bears
when
they're
putting
out
their
garbage
and
then
they
end
up
with
bear
garbage
all
over
the
place
and
when
you
say
talk
to
them
and
say
well,
you
know
one
thing
that
we
usually
do
is
put
our
garbage
in
the
freezer
until
it's
time
to
put
it
out
yeah.
Oh,
I
never
thought
of
that.
That's
a
good
idea!
You
know,
so
it's
mainly
giving
people
suggestions
and
ideas
of
what
is
appropriate
behavior.
B
So
I
think
what
one
of
the
things
that
might
be
good,
that's
come
into
my
mind,
while
you
all
are
talking,
is
having
a
sign
that
is
placed
strategically
at
main
entrances
of
greenways,
and
that
would
list
a
bunch
of
things.
Let's
welcome
to
our
asheville
greenway
system,
for
the
comfort
of
everyone
using
it
here
are
some
suggestions
that
we
have.
B
F
B
J
Okay,
the
problem
with
that
is,
is
you
know
it
would
have
to
get
updated
somewhat
frequently,
especially
if
we're
good
at
our
jobs.
H
Right
for.
H
I
I
agree,
I
think
there
should
be
an
entrance
sign
or
entry
marker
for
all
the
greenways.
I
think
it's
best
to
have
it
pretty
minimal
of
a
few
words
or
a
few,
the
more
the
busier
the
sign
gets,
the
more
requires
you
standing
and
and
looking
at
it
and
the
less
they'll
be
read
so
something
pretty
small
and
then
I
agree.
Just
a
qr
code
in
the
bottom
right
hand
corner
for
people
who
wanted
additional
information
would
be
really
brilliant,
yeah.
So
just
a
real,
simple
sign
that
has
a
few
things.
A
Again,
like
I'll,
like
a
budget
for
videos
as
well
and
and
I
also
think
that
we
should
design
for
campaign
signs
because.
D
A
A
Like
that
formatting,
whatever
that
formatting
is
with
the
with
the
and
they
were
like,
you
know,
every
quarter,
mile
on
a
on
a
stretch
of
greenway
and
they're,
generally
cheap
and
easy
to
produce
and
and
the
impact
is
that
as
people,
it's
not
just
a
kiosk
where
you
have
to
like.
Oh
I'm
here
on
parking.
Let
me
look
at
this
kiosk,
which
a
percentage
of
people
will
do
that,
but
you
put
it
on
the
trail
so
that,
as
people
are
using
the
trail,
they
can
then
think
about
their
behavior
and
the
behaviors
of
others.
B
A
B
C
Immediately,
I
I
put
in
the
chat:
is
there
any
kind
of
grant
opportunities
that
you
can
think
of
that
we
should
go
for.
B
B
A
They
were
people
for
bikes
yeah,
we
just
finished
we
we
just
finished
our
grant
with
people
for
bikes
and
we're
not
eligible
for
another
five
years
to
do
it,
so
you
just
have
to
look
at
like
what's
available,
but
I
mean
initially
I'm
sure
between
the
blue
bicycle
club
and
aob.
We
would
throw
some
seed
money
at
this
to,
like
you,
know,
get
a
first
round
of
some.
B
A
Some
some
signage
and
you
know,
pay
for
the
design
work.
B
A
And
the
thing
is,
is
that
if
we
do
it
like
which
I'm
happy
to
do
I
mean
I
want
like
asheville
on
bikes
on
that
poster?
I
want
our
logo
on
the
poster.
C
C
B
We
can
get
connected
to
do
it
or
the
blue
ridge
bike
club
to
do
it
or
asheville
bikes.
Something
like
that.
We
could
do
that
so
kristen.
D
What
are
you
sharing
here?
Oh
I
just
was
looking.
We
were
talking
about
graphics
before
that's
a
nice
one,
one
of
the
nicest
places
I've
ever
biked
was
in
quebec,
canada
and
I
just
looked
up
some
of
their
signs
and
yeah.
B
A
F
F
H
F
D
Yeah,
so
just
an
idea
to
keep
in
mind
when
we
get
to
that
stage.
Just
okay.
D
K
I
guess
I
really
like
mike's
idea
of
having
a
series
of
signs
along
the
trail,
because
you
know,
as
the
the
network
expands
you're
not
gonna.
Have
you
know
it's
not
gonna,
be
point
a
to
point
b.
It's
gonna
be
technicals
everywhere
and
so
you're
gonna
want
these
relatively
affordable
yard
signs
all
over,
and
I
like
kristin,
what
was
the
first
one.
It
was
be
polite,
stay
to
your
right.
B
K
D
B
A
There
can
you
see
yeah,
you
might
notice
too
that
in
seattle,
the
actual
department
of
transportation
yeah
is
for
the
signs
that
keep
people
safe
as
opposed
to
what
we're
doing.
But
this
kind
of
silhouette-
and
you
can
see
this
as
a
you
know-
this
was
sort
of
like
the
one
like
the
basic
one,
and
then
you
would
go
down
the
road
and
it
would
just
be
like
this
silhouette
or
something
with
the
person
with
the
pet
and
the
question
would
be.
Is
my
dog
close
enough
to
touch.
B
B
B
Well,
I
had
kristen
mike
kenny
and
myself,
which
is
a
good
committee.
I
guess-
and
we
could
probably
keep
meeting
and
talking
about
it.
B
F
A
So
it's
directing
you
know
it's
telling
people
you,
you
know
it's
letting
them
know.
You
know
you
can,
and
that
would
be
like
for
the
protected
bike
lane.
Yes,
and
that
could
be,
you
know
we
should
think
about
it
in
terms.
I
would
encourage
us
to
in
terms
of
like
bike
plus
lane,
so
if
you're
you
know
getting
after
it
or
you're
on
a
one
wheel
and
you're
going
to
be
going
20
miles
an
hour
or
whatever
50,
whatever
that
threshold
is
get
in
the
protected
bike
lane,
the
greenway
is
for
all
of
these
other.
B
Yeah,
I
would
say,
get
into
the
protected
bike
lane
or
regular
bike
lane.
I
mean
because
we
don't
have,
but
the
one
section
okay.
Well,
let's
does
anybody
else
have
any
other
comments
they
want
to
make
about
this.
C
C
E
B
Oh
cool,
all
right:
let's
move
on
so
lucy
yeah.
Would
you
like
to
go
over
the
transportation
projects.
C
Yeah,
so
the
spreadsheet
that
I
sent
out
every
month
is
the
one
that
goes
to
the
multimodal
transportation
commission,
but
there's
always
the
updates
of
the
greenways
on
that
for
you
to
have
a
quick
review
of
not
only
what
we're
working
on
together
but
other
projects
that
you
might
find
interesting,
that
the
city
is
working
on.
So
I'm
about
to
share
my
screen.
C
C
Am
about
it's
just
my
computer's,
going
at
the
speed
of.
C
There's
the
link
we
are
working
on
a
number
of
greenways.
We've
got
the
swannanoa
which
I'll
talk
about
in
a
little
bit
the
north
radtip
greenway.
We
have
money
to
do
the
engineering
study
and
I
hope
to
have
that
request
for
letter
of
interest
out
this
month.
C
The
the
coke
ranch
greenway
is
still
kind
of
dead
in
the
water.
However,
I
don't
know
if
you've
noticed,
but
on
the
corner
of
hilliard
and
klingman,
there's
a
brand
new
apartment
building
that
went
up
it's
almost
as
nearly
finished,
and
they
have
built
the
first
section
of
that
greenway
because
it
goes
right
next
to
their
building,
and
it
does
have
a
couple
of
designing
glitches
that
we're
working
with
them
now
on.
C
But
they
are
hoping
to
get
their
co
as
soon
as
possible,
so
that
the
section
that
they're
going
to
build
is
from
the
intersection
of
merit
street
and
clingman,
and
it
will
go
through
their
property
to
the
parking
lot
at
aston
park.
And
it
looks
pretty
good.
C
The
bow
catcher
greenway,
nothing
new,
has
happened.
There's
there
is
money
in
this
year's
budget
to
work
on
that
it's
about
less
than
four
hundred
thousand
dollars.
So
that's
not
nearly
enough
to
do
the
entire
mile
and
a
quarter
of
greenway,
but
we're
trying
to
figure
out
what
would
be
the
best
approach
to
handle
that
money.
D
C
There
and
to
do
the
best
we
can
with
the
stormwater
problems
that
the
existing
gravel
road
has
now
the
greenway
connectors
are
65
percent
done
we're
about
to
do
a
presentation
that
will
be
on
the
project
page
that
will
walk
everyone
through
it
virtually
and
then
have
a
form
on
the
project
page.
So
you
can
submit
questions,
it's
a
pretty
straightforward
project.
We
have
to
work
within
the
right
of
way,
that
is
that
exists,
and
so
there's
not
a
lot
of
wiggle
room
on
what
we
can
and
cannot
do.
C
So
it's
an
informational
meeting,
if
you
will
so.
D
C
On
the
project
page
and
I'll
and
I'll,
let
you
know
when
it's
out
there.
C
B
C
C
The
neighborhood
greenway
connectors
is
a
bond
project.
That's
the
money
that
we
did,
that
reed
creek
extension
with,
and
also
the
elsies
bridge,
and
we
have
two
more
projects
that
we
hope
to
be
working
on.
One
is
the
first
phase
of
the
rhododendron
greenway,
which
is
across
shelburne
road
from
the
harmony
creek
greenway.
C
It's
on
the
property
where
the
old
armory
is
so.
Our
intention
is
to
put
a
good
crosswalk
on
shelburne
road
from
the
parking
lot,
where
the
next
to
the
trailhead
at
harmony,
creek
and
a
path
that
goes
through
the
armory
property
that
lets
out
onto
a
neighborhood
road
called
tallmadge
road
in
west
asheville.
C
Sunny
carr,
is
lives
in
that.
Neighborhood
is
very
excited
about
that
project,
and
I
have
talked
with
her
and
another
person
who
lives
in
the
neighborhood
about
helping
me
meet
with
the
immediate
neighborhood
and
through
the
friends
of
harmony
cricket.
C
Right
and
once
the
other,
the
second
project
is
that
arco
road
connector
that
we've
talked
about
before
it's
on
essentially
two
properties.
One
is
a
private
property
owned
by
someone
who
contacted
us
willing
to
give
us
the
easement,
and
the
second
is
a
city-owned
property.
C
It
lets
out
rights
next
to
the
harmony
creek
park
and
across
the
road
from
the
restaurant
and
coffee
house,
on
beverly
road
and
at
the
new
hog
creek
road
intersection,
downtown
hawk
creek,
so
both
of
these
will
be
on
their
project
pages.
I've
already
been
fairly
involved
with
the
haw
creek
neighborhood
association,
they're
very
excited
to
see
this
happen
it's
going
much
slower
than
they
would
like
to
see.
It
happen,
of
course,.
C
And
then
the
the
other
two
that
I
want
to
talk
about
are
the
french
broad
river
west
and
the
swannanoa
river
greenway,
and
I
don't
know
if
any
of
you
had
looked
on
the
agenda
earlier
this
week
we
were
going
to
have
a
presentation
with
equinox
on
the
swannanoa
greenway,
but
I
took
it
off
the
agenda
because
we
did
the
cost
estimates
for
the
project
and
we
found
out
that
it
is
quite
a
bit
over
budget
right
now.
C
So
we
are
value
engineering,
the
design
and
we're
also
breaking
it
into
phases
if
necessary,
and
I'm
looking
into
some
additional
funding.
So
there's
not
a
whole
lot
more
that
I
can
tell
you
about
it
right
now,
but
hopefully,
in
november
or
december
I'll
have
more
news
to
be
able
to
share
okay.
C
C
I
saw
your
comments
about
the
guard
rail
and
I
it's
not
going
to
be
possible
to
do
a
wood
and
and
wire
guard
rail
with
the
city,
because.
G
H
C
H
And
well
in
the
well,
that's
you
mean
the
pedestrian
rail
and
then
the
guardrail
for
vehicles.
We'd
ask
for
corton
and
they've,
been
we've
been.
H
H
H
C
D
H
The
the
the
area's
concerned
about
graffiti
was
that
the
pedestrian
overpres
pass
over,
because
they
then
the
way
they
were
holding
up,
that
the
whole
ramp,
which
is
20
feet
high,
was
with
a
retaining
wall.
So
having
this
huge
20-foot
high,
retaining
wall
in
a
pedestrian
area
is
just
begging
to
be
graffiti.
I
C
The
french
broad
river
west
greenway
is
going
pretty
good.
I
went
out
there
on
friday.
It's
mostly
graded,
we're
getting
ready
to
do
the
retaining
walls
in
certain
areas.
C
It
looks
like
the
retaining
walls
which
are
soldier
pile
walls
will
have
a
rock
facade
finish
concrete,
which
will
be
nice
nicer
than
just
a
soldier
wall
anyway.
So
and
they
were,
it
was
either
that
or
that
kind
of
sprayed
on
concrete
look
similar
to
the
one.
That's
at
the
new
belgium
greenway.
C
It
looks
like
a
big
stucco
wall,
so
we're
looking
at
the
rock
face
instead
and
there's
a
little
bit
of
a
redesign
right
now
that
where
we
need
to
approach
duke
energy
to
see
if
they
will
allow
us
to
put
our
realignment
of
the
trail
away
from
the
river,
because
it's
too
close
the
river
banks
have
changed
a
little
bit
since
the
design
was
made,
which
is
never
a
good
sign
towards
their
maintenance
road.
Where
there's
some
guidelines
that
are
a
little
bit
closer
than
what
their
guidelines
allow.
C
H
Question
on
the
greenway
and
the
greenways
that
are
associated
with
the
I-26
we've
made,
several
committees
made
several
recommendations
and
requests
for
additional
branches,
some
several
different
things.
How
are
we
making
sure
that
that
gets,
communicated
and
incorporated
and
that
there
we
close
the
loop
on
that.
H
F
B
Okay,
so
has
everyone
looked
at
the
minutes?
F
F
E
B
Sorry,
we're
getting.
I've
got
someone
inspecting
my
roof
right
now,
let's
see
what
else
do
we
have
to
do?
B
J
Does
anyone
have
any
information
about
the
about
buncombe
county's
application
I
reached
out
to
lucy
regarding
their
applications
for
the
the
the
arpa
funds
that
they
requested
before
the
greenway.
J
J
I'm
just
curious
because
it
seemed
to
come
out
of
left
field,
and-
and
while
I
support
it,
I
just
I
felt
like
there
wasn't
really
much
coordination
with
what
that
would
be
here.
J
Asking
if,
if
anyone
has
the
inside
scoop
on
buncombe
county's
application
for
our
coupons
to
fund
the,
I
can't
remember
what
they're
calling
that
greenway
now,
I'm
just
basing
on
it,
but
the
the
bank
creek
greenway.
J
B
You're
talking
about
the
one
that's
going
to
connect
to
the
lake
julia
farmers
market.
J
J
That
the
one
that
I
think
that
they
they
applied
for
the
one
that
would
extend
all
the
way
out
to
late
julian.
B
J
J
A
portion
of
this
is
in
in
asheville.
I
think
it's
an
awesome,
it's
an
awesome
concept.
I
just
I
just
I
felt
like
it
was
something
that
deserves
some
coordination,
and
I
was
surprised
that
the
county
had
not
reached
out
to
us.
D
H
For
a
grant
from
arco,
no.
J
The
the
recovery
funds
that
that
we
received
they
requested
eight
million
dollars
of
those
recovery
funds.
Oh
really,
yeah,
I
mean.
J
B
F
A
I
became
aware
of
it
through
the
recovery
funds
through
connect,
buncombe
yeah,
and
you
know
it
was
kind
of
like
11th
hour.
I
wasn't
able
to
participate,
but
from
what
I
understand,
it
hasn't
gotten
a
lot
of
traction
from
the
commissioners.
J
A
There's
no
champion
of
active
transportation
currently
at
on
the
buncombe
county
commissioners,
and
so
without
robust
advocacy.
I
don't
think
it's
going
to
move
move
forward
and,
to
my
mind
it
was
sort
of
a
11th
hour.
Oh
wait!
This
is
happening
and
I
agree
that,
like
with
better
coordination,
it
could
have
been
a
significant
push.
J
No,
I
mean
they
took
they,
they
had
their
hearing
and
we
kind
of
like
in
last
second
threw
together
some
some
testimonies
supporting
it.
You
know
I
checked
in
with
lucy
just
to
make
sure
like
this
isn't
conflicting
with
any
of
our
goals,
but
yeah.
It
just
seems
like
without
without.
If,
if
we
don't
know
about
it,
then
the
the
good
people
of
buncombe
county
certainly
don't
know
about
it,
which
people
are
contacting
their
commissioners
and
saying
hey.
You
should
support
something
like
this.
J
B
A
So
lucy
make
sure
that
never
happens
again.
Please.
C
C
I
am
honestly
too
busy
to
apply
for
any
arpa
funds,
and
I
really
doubt
that
any
arpa
funds
would
go
towards
greenways
at
this
time
at
the
city
of
asheville
anyway.
So,
but
if
you
are
interested
in
suggesting
something
it's
not
too
late
at
the
city,
I
just
don't
have
high
hopes
that
it'll
have
any
traction
here
either.
A
A
Talking
about
transfer,
you
know
transportation
and
affordability
and
safety.
It's
pretty
much
spot
on.
K
F
F
A
And
we
haven't
reached
the
determination
of
like
you
know
what
is
the
thing
that
we're
going
after
you
know
there
are
as
an
entity
and
organization.
There
are
a
few
things
that
we're
going
after
and
so
like
what?
What
what's
the
best
thing.
F
C
Non-Profits
cannot
apply
for
them.
The
city
and
governments
can,
but
the
city
is
opening
it
up
as
an
rfp
process
to
the
to
our
citizens
and
staff
can
also
put
projects
forward
into
a
big
bin
and
then
there's
some
selection
committee.
I
don't
I'm
not
aware
who's
on
the
selection
committee
will
select
the
projects.
C
Right,
you
can,
but.
B
B
B
C
Overall,
the
dot
is
given
through
the
mpo.
You
should
see
the
recording
of
the
mpo
meeting
division
13,
it
has
about
a
billion
dollar
deficit
and
they
need
to
they're,
probably
going
to
be
cutting
a
lot
of
projects
from
the
stip
and
a
lot
of
projects
in
buncombe
county
are
not
looking
like
they're
going
to
survive.
So
sweden
creek
is
one
of
them
swannano
river
road
projects,
both
of
them
meadow
road
or
amboy
road.
C
About
at
least
the
improvements
to
the
existing
bridge
is
moving
forward.
B
Boy,
if
we
could
get
amboy
road
improvement
would
be
good,
but
I
don't
know,
that's
you've
got
a
lot
to
do
on
that
design,
as
well
as
engineering
and
all
that
stuff.
I
think
you
gotta
look
at
what's
what
would
be
the
most
beneficial
to
get
out
of
the
that
could
make
us
the
better
connections
to
get
somewhere.
C
It
is
designed,
I
would
say,
it's
probably
90,
designed
because
in
the
plans
that
were
created
before
I
started
working
here,
there's
a
lot
of
notes
that
say
that
this
section
needs
to
be
engineered.
This
section
needs
to
be
finished.
You
know,
there's
a
lot
of
notes
in
there.
What
about
very
expensive
greenways
yeah.
B
C
B
F
A
A
That's
but
I've
got
no
problem
like
expanding
that
scope
and
and
and
looking
at
like
yeah,
should
it
be
amboy
bridge
or
should
it
be
the
railroad
tracks,
or
should
it
be
yeah
and
and
also
have
some
input
from
the
city
that
would
be
suggest
like
this
is
the
next
best
thing
that
we
can
like
this
is
the
right
project
to
go
to
go.
This
is
the
thing
that
could
be
right
in
six
months
and.
A
Yeah
I
was
gonna,
I
was
gonna,
forget
about
that
one
and
considered
it
and
it
does
meet
some
of
the
objectives
and
you
know
absolutely
you
know.
The
the
thing
is
is
that
asheville
on
page
is
largely
a
recreational
facility,
so
it's
like
building
another
it's
building
a
park,
not
that
I'm
opposed
to
it,
but
it
is
that
the
right,
the
right
piece,
the
other
thing
that
we
could
absolutely
look
at.
A
Is
there
our
preliminary
design
plans
for
college
and
patent,
yes
for
bicycle
facilities,
and
that
and
those
facilities
would
be
very
much
like
the
river
arts
district
in
the
sense
that
they
are
bike
plus,
we
have
to
think
about
bicycles,
e-scooters
one
wheels,
light
mobility
right
through
our
downtown
and
we
already
have
like
90
of
the
design
plans
moving
along
and
that
really
connects.
A
I
think,
with
the
alignment
of
the
of
the
of
the
grant
opportunity,
not
that
I'm
opposed
to
astral
unpaid,
but
we
should
really
put
those
things
on
the
scale.
I
agree
you
know
well,
is
there
a
third
option,
but
you
know
I
would
be
most
interested
in
the
in
the
in
the
college
and
patent.
I
think
I
think
I
could
be
convinced
otherwise
what
I
know
so
far.
I
think
that's
the
best
alignment.
D
Just
shooting
from
the
hip
here
but-
and
I
don't
know
this-
might
be
well
beyond
the
scope.
What
about
a
fleet
of
electric
bikes?
That
kind
of
hits
like
econo
like
it
gives
people
a
way
to
get
around
it
builds
on
existing
infrastructure.
I
don't
know
I
thought
yeah.
B
B
B
The
north
red
tip
would
be
another
one,
that's
one
that
we
should
consider,
because
that's
again
a
connection
that
would
connect
our
system
and
go
all
the
way
out
to
woodfin,
that's
really
a
major
connection
piece
and
then
something
like
meadow
road
or
amboy
road,
the
bridge,
whatever.
I
think
we
can
get
about
four
of
those
right
there.
A
Yeah,
well,
I
think,
maybe
you
know
potent
I
think,
we're
at
the
point
where
we
say:
okay,
who
would
like
to
attend
another
zoom
meeting
and-
and
we
take
this
from
the
from
the
greenway
committee-
and
you
know,
raise
your
hand
if
you're
interested
aob
can
coordinate
it
and
we
look
at
the
you
know,
dial
into
the
grant
and
some
of
the
the
projects
that
are
in
front
of
us
identify
what
it
is
that
we
want
to
go
after,
and
then
I
also
identify
what
are
the
next
steps
that
we
need
to
do
to
make
this
a
successful
project
or
campaign.
B
A
Couldn't
say
we
can
say
that
you
know
this
is,
I
feel
like
we're
doing
we're
trying
to
do
too
much
in
this
meeting.
I
think
we
need
to
like
dial
in
be
like
boom
blue,
rich
bicycle
club,
aob
actual
design
center.
This
is
what
we're
doing,
and
then
you
know
this
is
what
we
agree,
that
this
is
the
thing
and
then
we
go
after
the
thing
and
we
make
the
thing
a.
B
B
K
B
D
C
A
You
all
hang
on
for
another
45
minutes,
I'm
just
kidding
all
right.
Let
me
I'm
going
to
take
the
screen.
Well.
First
of
all,
let
me
say
this
raise
your
hand
if
you
have
any
concept
of
what
asheville
unpaved
is:
okay,
great
astrology,
the
partnership
between
pisgah
area
sorba,
connect,
buncombe
asheville
on
bikes
and
the
city
of
asheville.
A
A
We
sort
of
sussed
through
all
of
the
opportunities
with
a
larger
group,
and
then
we
narrowed
it
down
to
essentially
three
different
project
areas
and
we
felt
like
we
want
to
spread
this
around
the
city.
So
it
was
east
asheville,
west
asheville,
river
arts,
district
ish,
extending
into
the.
A
A
B
A
F
A
And
so
what
we,
what
have
been
has
been
proposed
is
that
green
is
multi-use.
That
means
hikers
bikers
bird
watchers
dog
walkers
on
this
trail,
and
so
it's
like
that
ridge
between
river
view
and
the
the
greenway.
A
And
right
here
this
is
the
project
that
I
am
really
interested
and
curious
about.
You
have
asheville
middle
and,
as
some
of
you
may
know,
astronaut
bikes,
we
have
our
youth
cycling
program
for
which,
for
the
last
10
years
has
been
based
out
of
asheville
middle
and
although
our
students
are
learning
how
to
ride
asphalt,
although
they
live
in
western
north
carolina
mountain
biking,
mecca,
they
have
very
limited
access
to
enjoy
trail
systems
that
we
have
on
bicycles.
For
a
variety
of
reasons.
A
One
of
the
things
that
will
open
up
access
to
mountain
biking
is
well
direct
access
right
from
the
neighborhood
that
we
could
have
red
delineates
bike
specific,
and
so
this
would
be
a
trail
system
that
would
runs
along
back
behind
asheville
middle,
and
if
you
can
see
this
little
section
here,
it
would
begin
to
cut
into
down
into
the
river
arts
district.
A
I
did
just
share
this
map
with
the
athletic
director
at
asheville
middle
school,
who,
let
me
know
that
he
is
in
no
position
to
make
any
sort
of
decision,
but
he
he
showed
me
what
the
cross
country
team
runs,
and
he
did
say
you
know.
Other
than
cycling,
this
would
be
a
great
addition
to
to
the
cross-country
team
and
some
of
the
teachers
who
I've
shown
it
to
have
even
thought,
like
you
know,
teaching
biology
in
place
as
well
that
they
could
actually
be
a
learning
opportunity.
So
there's.
B
K
A
Yes,
don't
wait,
I
was
oh
sorry,
I'm
all
over
the
place.
Okay
back
to
the
yeah
noted.
Thank
you
for
that
and
then
this
is
mountainside
park
bow
catcher
and
I
know
this
looks
like
you
know.
It
looks
like
spaghetti
thrown
on
the
side
of
a
mountain.
A
F
A
There
it
is
okay,
I
apologize
and
so
we've
given
a
lot
of
feedback
about
this,
the
committee,
the
actual
unpaid
committee.
So
I
think
some
of
these
lines
will
change
but
again
red
mountain
bike
specific
and
we
could
work
with
the
elevation
to
put
like
this
would
be
the
to
put
it
in
terms
of
skiing.
A
I
guess
maybe
the
the
black
diamond-ish
more
progressive
and
advanced
features
up
that
you
know
the
higher
that
you
go
and
then
you
would
also
have
like
walking
trails
and
dedicated
biking
trails.
F
A
And
then
this
is
east
asheville.
A
Here's
the
the
golf
course-
and
I
think
a
lot
of
these
lines
will
change
as
well.
I
mean
lucy's
a
lot
more
well-versed
in
this
area
of
the
of
the
city
than
than
I
am
and
then
here's
the
pool,
recreational
park
and
pool
island
is
somewhere
over
here
and
then
the
proposed
system
would
run
like.
B
A
So
all
of
the
everything
that
you're
looking
at
right
now
is
preliminary
proposed
and
it's
all
being
redrawn
as
we
speak.
I
would
like
to
think
it's.
It's
all
still
a
work
in
progress,
but
there
was
an
opportunity
to
share
it
out
and
I
took
it
so
there
you
go.
J
B
Okay,
does
anybody
do
we
need
to
anything
else
outstanding
for
anybody
lucy?
B
A
Hey
the
only
thing
I'll
share
out
is
saturday
october.
30Th
is
asheville
on
bikes,
pumpkin,
peddler,
love
to
see
you
all
out
there.
We
have
three
different
rides
routes,
all
of
which
connect
and
co-mingle,
and
they
feature
some
of
our
ongoing
challenges,
but
also
some
of
our
successes,
like
you
know,
we're
for
the
first
time
in
a
very
long
time
we're
able
to
ride
the
pumpkin
peddler
along
charlotte,
because
it
is
now
a
trending
toward
a
a
more
humane
street.
A
We'll
also
be
featuring.
The
wilma,
dykema
and
greenway
we'll
have
a
pop-up
bicycle
park
from
one
to
three.
We
have
a
mobile
bicycle
park
system
that
we
can
deploy
and
shows
people
what
a
park
bike
park
pump
track
facility
could
be
so
if
you're,
free
and
available
come
down.
