From YouTube: Asheville Business Inclusion Office – Bids & RFPs
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
So
let's
get
into
it.
So
if
you're
bidding
or
submitting
an
RFP
for
a
city
of
Asheville
project
and
state
or
federal
funds
are
not
being
applied
to
the
project,
then
it
is
very
likely
that
Asheville
business
inclusion
policy
applies
and,
if
so,
you're
going
to
find
certain
Outreach
documentation
that
is
included
in
the
bid
or
RFP.
And
it's
going
to
look
something
like
this
so
somewhere
in
the
bid
most
likely
you're
going
to
find
the
city
of
Asheville
Asheville
business
inclusion,
Outreach,
documentation,
forms
and
before
I
go
any
further
with
this.
A
I
do
want
to
state
that
the
city
of
Asheville's
ABI
policy
is
really
intended
to
provide
opportunities
for
minority
and
women-owned
businesses
to
fully
participate
in
the
purchasing
and
Contracting
activities
of
the
city
of
Asheville.
So
our
Prime
vendors
have
a
role
in
that
and
we'll
talk
about
the
requirements
for
Prime
vendors
in
just
a
moment.
I
should
also
mention
that
the
ABI
documentation
is
due
at
the
time
of
submission
of
your
bid
or
RFP.
A
Failure
to
include
the
proper
ABI
forms
completed
correctly
would
deem
your
firm
non-responsive
to
the
RFP.
So
this
is
really
important
and
we
don't
want
to
have
to
disqualify
your
firm
for
a
paperwork
error,
so
I'm
going
to
go
into
the
two
different
options
that
you
have
when
filling
out
the
ABI
forms.
A
A
So
if
you
are
doing
that,
you're
going
to
check
option
one
and
you're
going
to
go
down
below
to
sign
this
form
you're
going
to,
let
us
know
if
you
are
a
minority
or
women-owned
business
owner
you're,
going
to
tell
us
the
name
of
your
firm.
Who
is
the
authorized
officer
and
their
title.
That's
signing!
Please
sign
it
here
and
include
the
date
after
signing.
Please
submit
this
one
page
with
your
bid
or
RFP
at
the
time.
It's
due.
A
This
is
the
only
page,
that's
due
if
you
are
self-performing
now,
if
you
are
a
prime
vendor
and
you
are
going
to
be
using
subcontractors,
you
will
also
complete
this
first
page
you're,
going
to
check
option
two
and
option.
Two
is
stating
that
you're
going
to
perform
subcontracting
Outreach
you're,
going
to
also
fill
out
some
other
forms
after
this,
but
go
ahead
and
check
option
two
tell
us
if
your
firm
is
a
minority
or
women-owned
business.
Let
us
know
who
you
are:
what's
the
name
of
the
vendor,
the
authorized
officer,
title
signature
and
date.
A
A
A
A
We
would
like
to
see
all
the
minority
and
women-owned
businesses
that
you
Outreach
to
listed
here,
and
it
is
our
hope
that
of
those
you've
reached
out
to
that,
you
will
be
able
to
identify
one
or
more
that
you
can
utilize
on
your
project
after
you've
filled
out
this
form
you're
going
to
continue
on
to
the
mwbe
utilization
commitment
at
the
top
of
the
page
you're
going
to
see
the
mwbe
aspirational
participation
goal
depending
on
the
type
of
contract.
Different
goals
apply
again.
These
are
aspirational
goals
and
with
a
general
Services
contract.
A
The
goal
that
we're
trying
to
reach
is
14.6
percent
participation
from
minority
business
enterprises
and
those
are
black
American
owned,
Enterprises
Hispanic,
American-owned,
Enterprises,
Asian,
American-owned
or
Native
American
owned
for
Construction
Services.
The
percentage
is
different,
we're
looking
for
4.6
participation
at
a
minimum
and
those
are
from
black
owned
businesses,
Asian
American-owned
businesses
and
Native
American-owned
businesses.
A
What
minority
category
do
they
fulfill?
Is
it
a
women-owned
business
black
owned
business,
Hispanic,
owned
business,
Asian,
American-owned,
business
or
Native
American
owned
business,
describe
the
work
that
they'll
be
performing
for
you
and
then
tell
us
what
the
dollar
value
and
percentage
of
the
contract
is.
A
If
you
have
one
mwbe,
that's
assisting
you,
then
the
math
is
pretty
straightforward.
You
would
take
this
total
plug
it
in
in
this
area
and
tell
us
the
total
percentage
of
your
project.
If
there
are
multiple
vendors
that
you'll
be
working
with
as
subcontractors,
you
would
list.
All
of
those
here
fill
out
the
minority
categories
tell
us
the
description
of
work
and
total
the
dollar
value
and
percentage
of
the
contract
and
fill
that
out
here
and
here.
