A
A
A
Just
before
our
opening
prayer
I
just
want
to
say
it's
been
a
terrible
reminder.
This
past
week
of
the
devastation
that
occurred
from
Mother
Nature
and
a
reminder
to
us
all
that
a
portion
of
our
Gray
County
is
Oceanfront
as
we
enter
into
the
month
of
October
and
the
10th
anniversary
of
superstorm
Sandy
I.
Ask
that
we
keep
those
impacted
from
a
hurricane
and
in
our
thoughts
and
prayers
for
this
foreseeable
future.
We
all
know
too
well
that
the
aftermath
can
mean
very
life-changing.
B
C
E
A
Okay,
We've
commissioned
an
opportunity
to
review
the
minutes
from
September
20th
2022
I'll
entertain
a
motion
to
adopt
the
September
2022
minutes
as
presented
moved
by
commissioner
Gatto
and
seconded
by
commissioner
Ballas.
F
G
A
A
With
us,
okay,
anyone
in
person
that
would
like
to
speak
by
public
Comics,
please
come.
A
Name
in
the
town
you
reside,
you'll
provide
it
up
to
three
minutes
to
speak
if
you're
attending
virtually
please
type
yes
and
the
resolution
number
in
the
question
and
answer
box
any
items
not
list
on
the
agenda.
You
may
speak
during
public
comments.
You
will
be
raised
from
an
attendee
to
a
panelist
when
you're
raised,
please
state
your
name
and
town
that
you
reside.
A
Okay,
it's
been
moved
by
commissioner
balls,
the
second
by
commissioner
Risley.
We
will
now
welcome
Miss
rush
to
the
podium.
D
And
whereas
Meadowview
nursing,
home
and
rehabilitation
center.
I
receive
federal
approval
to
provide
medical
services
to
Veterans
and
opened
a
designated
veterans
wing
with
30
beds
in
December
of
2018
and
whereas
John
and
Ellen
rush
and
the
Cardiff
VFW
auxiliary,
learned
of
the
need
for
new
beds
and
made
the
commitment
to
provide
a
total
of
30
new
bets
for
veterans
residing
at
the
Meadowview,
nursing,
home
and
rehabilitation
center.
Now.
H
D
B
Any
commissioner
has
anything
that
they
would
like
to
say
just
in
recognition
of
your
service,
the
Popular
Community,
we're
very
fortunate
to
have
someone
like
you
cares
so
much
about
helping
others
here
in
Atlanta
County
for
our
veterans
and
all
for
Amanda
cash.
I
want
to
congratulate
thank
you
for
doing
that.
B
Thank
you
certainly
want
to
Echo
everything
that
my
colleague
has
stated
and
talk
about
charity.
The
topic
of
charity
charity
is
that
one
virtue
that
is
eternal
and
I
truly
believe
that
it's
Eternal
and
what
you've
done
and
provided
these
feds
is
a
wonderful
thing.
It's
charitable
and
and
I
know
that
they'll
be
used
and
will
appreciate
it
I.
Thank
you
so
much.
We
all
thank
you
for
spearheading
us.
B
K
You
first
of
all
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you.
You
know
it's
been
an
honor.
You
know
myself
about
furlough,
a
bunch
of
other
veterans
that
are
on
different
boards,
with
your
husband
John.
He
was
a
great
man.
He
was
a
warrior
and
you
know
if
there
was
something
he
wanted.
He
made
sure
that
whether
nobody
else
wanted
it
he
got
done
and
that's
just
the
way.
John
was
and
you're
the
same
way
so
proud,
The,
Eliminator
with
Township.
You
know
we're
their
volunteer.
K
K
J
Absolutely
I
I
just
want
to
say
I
mean
your
your
husband's
gift
of
service
to
our
country.
It
was
selfless
enough,
and
certainly
yours
as
his
partner
for
that
Journey,
but
you
know
to
to
add
to
it
with
this.
This
act
of
Charity
to
your
point,
I
know,
Legacy
that
that
will
also
leave
and
the
people
will
help
it's
just
it's
I,
don't
think,
there's
enough
thanks
that
we
can
say
to
you
and
and
to
the
members
of
the
the
Cardiff
auxiliary
that
are
here.
C
Just
I'll
be
around
that
way:
yeah
I,
don't
just
I'm,
just
gonna
Echo
everything
I,
just
don't
think
we
can
say
thank
you
enough
to
to
your
you
and
your
husband
and
his
legacy
and,
of
course,
the
service
that
you
continue
to
perform
for
all
of
the
veterans
from
Atlantic
County.
C
Hopefully
it
continues
to
be
recognized
and
to
the
rest
of
the
members
of
the
auxiliary
as
well.
So
thank
you.
Thank
you.
I
Behalf
of
the
citizens
of
Atlantic
County
Atlanta
County
Executive
Dennis
Levinson,
proudly
salutes
Alan
rash.
President,
the
VFW
auxiliary
80
98
for
her
commitment
to
fulfill
the
wishes
of
her
late
husband,
Commander
John
rush
in
raising
money
to
provide
new
beds
for
the
Meadowview,
nursing
and
rehabilitation
center
veterans
wing.
M
M
When
I
started,
we
came
out
with
10
beds,
the
via
post
8098,
the
auxiliary
Patriot
providers
of
America
of
New
Jersey,
tee
off
for
veterans,
a
four
beds
Nancy
and
Bill,
and
Nancy
Beale,
Deborah
Beal
and
my
family.
My
daughter
and
my
one
grandson
is
here:
we
bought
the
first
10
and
then
Sam,
who
was
our
secretary,
who
worked
for
a
visit
me
angels.
M
They
got
together
with
ProMedica,
retinol
and
spring
homes,
and
they
threw
the
biggest
benefit
which
we
raised
over
twenty
one
thousand
dollars.
That
night
we
had
55
baskets
to
raffle
off
and
without
them
our
second
ten
Beds
which
are
coming
in
tomorrow,.
M
Thank
you.
Beds
were
at
that
function,
Darcy
Johnson
day
law,
Atlanta
care,
Shore,
Medical,
Center,
Pat
and
Kathy
from
Visiting
Angels
the
owners,
and
we
also
had
Regional
Animal
Shelter.
They
also
go
to
bed
that
night,
plus
all
the
people
that
came.
We
must
have
had
close
to
200
people.
H
M
Mean
we
had
a
great
time,
everybody
that
came
praised
our
veterans,
and
that
was
one
of
the
most
important
things,
but
there's
two
other
people
that
I
have
to
thank
Michelle
was
the
first
one
that
we
met
over
at
Meadowview.
My
husband
and
I
went
over
there,
so
he
could
talk
to
see
what
our
veterans
needed.
M
M
A
J
M
Without
these,
ladies,
they
paid
for
everything
they
paid
for
all
the
food,
all
the
drinks
and
everything
that
night
and
we
had
such
a
great
time
and
they're
still
fighting
for
us
we're
still
getting
checks
little
by
the
end,
if
you
know
anybody,
that's
interested
tell
them
about
the
girls
I'll
give
you
my
number
I'll,
give
you
anything.
If
you
can't
find
out
call
Michelle.
She
knows
it.
So
you
are
a
good
Escape.
H
M
I
A
D
To
authorize
the
acquisition
of
a
stormwater
drainage,
easement
across
property
identified
as
block
266
lot,
one
located
along
California
Avenue
and
the
City
of
Absecon
Atlantic,
County,
New
Jersey
by
means
of
agreements
or
by
condemnation.
Pursuant
to
the
imminent
domain
Act
of
1971
njsa20,
colon
3-1
and
following
first
reading,
inspection.
J
The
commissioner,
she
has
a
quick
comment
on
the
chair.
I
I
get
nervous
when
I
see
end
of
the
domain
and
a
header
there,
so
I
just
want
to
bring
comfort
that
we
actually
are
negotiating
with
the
property
owner.
J
D
A
A
D
J
The
highway,
if
you're,
going
to
see
a
number
of
Grants
and
items
Department
of
Public,
Health
and
specifically
the
department
on
Aging
we
did
ask
and
all
of
these
grants
are
in
line
with
what
we
budgeted
and
expected
number
one.
And
in
some
cases
we
even
are
receiving
additional
Grant
funds
due
to
exceptional
usage,
which
is
a
good
thing.
A
E
D
A
E
A
D
D
E
J
On
the
highway,
so
we
were
educated
on
Highlands,
license
grants
by
our
planning
department
and
apparently
it's
pretty
difficult
from
a
state
perspective
to
get
a
grant
as
a
which
is
a
one-time
kind
of
payment
versus
a
license
which
is
a
recurring
payment.
And
so
apparently
the
state
has
opened
opened
up
the
door
to.
I
J
Grant
aspect
lately,
so
this
is
the
first
one
that
we're
seeing
come
across
where
we've
been
successful
in
getting
the
Grant
and
getting
rid
of
that
annual
license,
and
our
planning
department
is
proactively
now
anywhere.
We
have
the
license.
They
are
now
applying
for
that
for
the
grant
to
see
that
we
can
be
successful
with
any
others.
A
D
A
Motion
moved
by
commissioner
Gatto
and
second
invite,
commissioner.
H
E
D
Yes,
Parker,
yes,
Risley,
yes
and
Kern
yes,
motion
carries.
That
brings
us
to
our
professional
service
agreements
with
resolution
532.
a
minute.
Any
resolution
number
37
adopted:
February
1
2022,
a
Professional
Services
agreement
with
additional
nurse
agencies
for
the
provision
of
temporary
nursing
staff,
no
additional
costs.
D
A
E
A
A
Repetitive
competitive
contracts,
resolution
533.
A
E
D
A
A
E
D
E
E
D
E
A
D
K
F
Actually,
we
actually
have
a
drone.
We
we
train
the
staff
on
using
each
other
and
they
use
it
in
areas
where
you
know
you
can't
you
can't
do
the
surveillance
with
them
so
yeah
they
they
do
that.
You
know,
as
a
matter
of
fact,
Mr
Abdel
John.
They
call
them
doug
because
that's
his
nickname,
Doug's
being
trained
that
he
actually
has
I.
Think
we've
the
Drone
draft
two
thousand
twenty
five
hundred
dollar
piece
of
equipment.
D
A
E
D
E
A
D
A
D
A
E
D
A
D
J
They're,
just
during
our
budget
subcommittee
that
asked
about
the
usage
of
this
program
and
we
did
get
some
stats
that
1695
total
inmates,
since
the
Inception
of
the
program,
have
gone
through
that's
from
2020
to
about
mid-2022
and
also
saw
that
this
program
has
seemed
to
help
to
reduce
suicide
attempts
in
the
jail.
So
we're
definitely
seeing
some
good
things
that
okay
report.
H
A
A
second
moved
by
commissioner
gather
and
seconded
by
commissioner
Dallas.
Any
commissioner
comments:
none
anything
from
the
published
Dallas.
D
E
A
E
D
D
A
A
K
The
charity
Jerry
I
know
we
have
this
every
year,
this
this
grant
with
Atlantic
City.
Are
they
still
finding
much
lead
exposure
in
children
in
Atlantic.
F
F
G
Thank
you,
yeah.
It
would
be
being
at
home,
but
sometimes
in
annual
maturity,
he's
not
as
brought
over
from
other
countries
as
well.
Thank.
A
E
D
E
E
D
D
A
E
A
A
Risley
yes
and
Kern
yes,
motion
Carey.
That
brings
us
into
our
appointments
and
I'll,
entertain
a
motion
to
combine
and
adopt
voice
which
is
number
554
to
557..
A
Commissioner,
Parker
and
seconded
by
commissioner
Gatto
any
comments
from
our
commissioners.
I
just
want
to
say
it's,
you
know
I
try
to,
since
we
combined
and
adopties
that
thank
all
these
people
that
are
giving
up
their
time.
A
lot
of
them
are
doing
it
for
a
passion
that
they
have,
and
we
do
appreciate
that.
Okay,.
A
Yes,
Wesley,
yes
and
current
yes
motion
carries:
do
we
have
any
reports
of
special
Committees
of
the
board.
B
Sure
yeah,
not
a
special
committee.
As
you
know,
I,
could
share
the
South
charity
Economic
Development
District.
We
had
a
meeting
last
night.
We
meet
at
the
Cumberland
County
Improvement
authorities.
B
But
I
can
tell
you
that
Atlantic
County
is
always
well
represented.
In
fact,
all
the
counties
of
that
body
are
well
represented.
We
we
get
along
very,
very
well,
sometimes
there's
competing
interests,
as
you
can
imagine.
Things
come
up
between
the
four
counties,
but
we
always
work
them
out,
we're
always
very
amenable.
B
As
a
group,
we
were
reviewing
our
audit
for
the
district,
the
auditor
again,
we
have
a
100
percent
clean
audit,
unmodified
opinions,
it's
the
term
that
they
use,
which
is
probably
our
six
or
seventh
one-
that
I've
been
involved
with.
So
what
we're
doing
very,
very
well
and
we're
strong,
and
we
try
to
go
after
grant
money
by
the
US,
Eda
and
other
agencies
to
try
to
do
various
projects
within
the
four
accounting,
so
we're
doing
good
we're
getting
stronger
all
the
time.
It's
a
district.
So
that's
good
for
us
as
well.
L
Thank
you,
commissioner,
from
her
culture
and
Heritage
Advisory,
Board,
art
and
history
grants
funding
applications
that
I
announced
a
little
bit
earlier
are
due
by
October
14th
the
deadline
to
apply
for
2023,
State,
art
and
history
grants.
It's
fast
approaching.
Application
to
fund
projects
that
promote
arts
or
history
and
provide
public
benefit
and
accessibility
are
due
by
October
14
2022
applications
are
available
through
the
Atlantic
County
Office
of
cultural
and
Heritage
Affairs,
which
re-granted
more
than
218
thousand
dollars
to
successful
local
time.
Profit
applications
in
2022.,
so
I
wanted
to.
A
All
right,
commissioner,
I
just
want
to
State
I,
attended
a
breakfast
this
morning
for
that
stigma,
free
Atlantic
County.
They
had
a
networking
breakfast
and
they
really
have
a
great
campaign
that
they're
putting
out
at
one
of
our
resolutions
was.
A
We
did
want
to
say
it
was
August
2nd
for
statement,
free,
Atlantic
County,
and
they
really
have
done
a
fabulous
job.
They
have.
They
have
yard
signs,
we're
seeing
a
lot
of
those,
but
they
do
have.
A
A
We
some
of
us
may
have
received
copies
of
writing
communication
and
petitions.
Does
anybody
have.
C
It
yeah
I've
received
a
couple
emails
and
phone
calls
lately
regarding
the
windmills
off
the
coast,
specifically
in
Brigantine
we're
just
asking
for
for
more
information.
They
feel,
like
everything,
is
kind
of
being
rushed
and
fast-tracked
by
the
governor
and,
to
that
end,
mayor
Sarah's
ordering
a
public
meeting
on
Saturday
morning
at
10
A.M
at
the
Brigantine
community
school.
So
to
get
more
input,
I
mean
I
know
there
are
a
lot
of
different
opinions
on
it.
C
But
what
it
was
kind
of
confusing
to
to
the
mayor
was
that
over
the
weekend,
Governor
Murphy
said
that
the
windmills
are
a
done
deal.
The
the
two
projects
but
and
brigantines
I
think
what
they
want
to
do
is
have
move
them
a
little
further
off
the
shore
and
Governor
Murphy
went
on
to
say
that
I
think
that
can
happen.
I
think
that
is
happening.
Mayor
Sarah's
reached
out
to
the
governor's
office
for
clarification
of
that.
C
A
Do
we
have
anything
else
for
any
other
commissions?
Okay,
public
comments
will
now
open
the
public
comment
portion.
Anyone
in
person
that
would
like
to
speak
during
the
public
comments.
Please
come
to
Podium
state,
your
name
in
Italian
reside
you'll,
be
provided
up
to
three
minutes
to
speak
if
you're
attending
virtually
please
type.
Yes
in
the
question
in
the
answer
box
you'll
be
raised
from
an
attendee
to
a
panelist
when
you're
raised
please
again
state
your
name
and
the
town
that
you
resigned.
A
Okay,
for
the
good
of
the
order,
I
just
have
two
items:
I
want
to
mention
to
those
who
will
begin
their
observices.
A
I'd
also
like
to
highlight
that
October
for
Cancer
Awareness
Month,
no
matter
who
you
are
male
or
female,
breast
cancer
May
touch
your
life.
It
is
so
important
to
understand
