A
Good
morning,
everyone
I'm
brett
matick,
I'm
the
chair
of
the
atlanta
county
economic
alliance,
and
I
just
wanted
to
say
we're
very
excited
for
today,
and
I
just
welcome
everyone
here
and
we're
very
excited
to
welcome
globalx
to
our
community
and
we're
very
excited
for
this
program.
It
is
in
line
with
all
of
our
initiatives
and
it
is
a
huge
step
in
moving
atlanta
county
forward.
So
with
that,
I'm
just
going
to
introduce
lauren
moore
our
director.
B
Well,
thank
you.
Welcome
everybody
welcome
to
the
national
aviation
research
and
technology
park.
I
want
to
point
out
howard
kyle,
the
president
of
nartv,
thank
you
for
your
hospitality
and
use
of
the
facility.
Howard
can't
thank
you
enough,
howard
and
I
partner
on
a
lot
of
things.
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you,
and
I
want
to
thank
you,
know
ed
and
globalx,
for
recognizing
the
opportunities
that
this
region
and
this
area
presents.
You
know
we've
been
working
very
hard
to
position
atlantic
county
to
take
advantage.
B
You
know
for
for
you
to
take
advantage
of
the
opportunities
that
are
here.
You
know
for
us
and
we're
going
to
do
work
very
hard
to
do
everything
we
can
to
help
you
grow
and
expand.
You
know
here
in
the
county
and
can't
thank
you
enough
for
recognizing
the
opportunities
here
and
I
want
to
hand
it
over
to
to
denny
levinson
to
say
some
remarks.
Well,.
C
Thank
you
very
much.
Thank
you
very
much,
thanks
tim
for
believing
in
us,
because
we
believe
in
us
we
put
our
money
where
our
mouth
is.
I
remember
when
this
was
just
a
dream
and
I
sat
down
and
decided
you
know
we
have
to
diversify
an
economy
for
100
years.
Here
we've
been
talking
about,
you
have
to
do
more
than
just
a
summertime
resort.
What
can
we
do?
A
D
C
Times
and
it
was
a
dream-
and
I
remember
speaking
to
the
chairman
of
the
freeholder
board-
he
was
a
freeholder
at
the
time.
Maureen
kern
said
we're
going
to
build
out
there,
we're
going
to
spend
money
and
she
said
who
are
your
prospective
clients
and
we
don't
have
any.
C
Well,
do
you
think
it's
a
good
idea,
especially
in
this
atmosphere?
We
led
the
country
in
foreclosures.
It
was
a
major
problem.
We
had
five
casinos
closed
and
it's
almost
like
build
it
and
they'll
come
we
took
a
chance
and
if
it
wasn't
for
covet,
we'd
be
talking
about
the
third
building
and
who
we're
going
to
put
in.
So
this
is
the
beginning.
C
C
B
But
danny
we
couldn't
have
done
this
without
your
support,
the
county's
vision,
you
know
to
put
us
in
this
position:
field
the
chair
or
excuse
me
county,
commissioner,
chair
maureen,
kern,
how
you
know
thanks
to
you.
This
is
why
we're
here
today,
you
know
making
this
happen.
So
you
know
we
can't
thank
you
enough
for
your
support
and
your
continued
support.
D
Yeah
so
at
least
I
have
a
few
words
I'm
going
to
address
the
class
in
a
few
minutes
denny.
Thank
you
so
much
for
all
of
your
support.
The
reason
howard's
sort
of
little
upset
now
he
doesn't
get
to
dress
like
like,
like
that
and
his
new
job,
even
with
the
increased
pay,
but
thank
you
brett
for
welcoming
us,
lauren
moore,
really,
the
the
reason
that
we're
here
he
kept
after
us.
D
He
kept
telling
us
what
the
county
could
do,
what
the
airport
could
do
for
us
and-
and
we
just
kept
talking
and
talking
and
talking-
and
you
know,
lauren
you
can
talk
a
lot
and
finally,
okay,
we're
coming
so
we're
excited
to
be
here.
Atlantic
city
is
very,
very
important
in
our
future.
A
lot
of
reasons
why
we
wanted
to
be
at
the
airport,
not
only
because
of
denny
and
lauren,
and
the
great
the
management
team
at
the
airport,
with
the
tim
kroll
and
mike
cares,
but.
A
D
Atlantic
city,
airport's
location
strategically
is
exceptional,
and
I'm
not
going
to
tell
you
anything,
you
don't
know,
but
let
me
just
reiterate
what
we
went
through
as
we
looked
at
it.
It's
so
far,
east
that
the
the
the
bad
weather
doesn't
hit
atlantic
city
airport,
like
it
does
billy
newark
jfk.
D
Jfk
boston
runways
are
good
again,
management's
very
good,
obviously,
because
the
costs
to
operate
there
are
so
low.
This
catchment
area
between
philadelphia,
newark,
even
up
into
new
york,
is
huge.
It's
probably
30
million
people
who
can
get
on
our
airplanes
or
spirits,
airplanes
or
or
anyone's
airplanes
that
operate
from
atlantic
city.
That's
so
important
to
an
airline.
D
It's
much
less.
You
know
where
exactly
the
airport
is
located
as
it
is.
What
is
the
catchment
area
around
it
and
to
be
able
to
drive
up
to
atlantic
city
airport
park?
Your
car
be
in
the
terminal
be
through
security
in
10
or
15
minutes.
That's
fantastic!
All
of
us
have
flown
out
of
newark
or
philadelphia
or
jfk
and
know
that.
That's
that's
an
impossibility
anywhere
else,
so
we
think.
A
D
Atlantic
city
will
continue
to
grow,
just
like
trenton
has
grown,
and
some
of
these
other
we'll
call
them
secondary
airports,
they're
not
really
secondary,
but
they're.
B
A
D
That
jfk
or
newark
get.
D
Safety
is
number
one
but
hospitality
and
how
we
treat
our
customers
is
equally
as
important,
and
so
in
an
area
like
atlantic
city,
where
you've
got
a
trained
base
of
potential
employees
who
understand
that
and
know
that
that's
important
for
us
to
be
able
to
draw
that.
So
when
we
we
did
the
recruiting
for
our
first
class,
I
think
we
had
well
over
in
a
very
short
period
of
time,
well
had
well
over
100
qualified
candidates
that
we
spoke
to.
It
was
very
hard
to
narrow
it
down
to
the
17
that
we
chose.
D
All
of
them
had
great
hospitality.
Experience
would
be
great
on
an
airplane,
be
great
meeting
with
with
our
customers
and
and
our
passengers,
and
so.
D
But
we
got
down
to
17.,
we
we
expect
to
hire
many
many
more
here
for
our
atlantic
city
base.
We
will
put
an
airplane
here,
full-time
starting
in
october,
when
we
take
delivery
of
our
next
airplane
it'll
be
painted
in
special
colors,
which
we'll
reveal
shortly
that
airplane
and
probably
two
more
will
be
assigned
here
and
we'll
be
flying
charters
out
of
atlantic
city
to
places
like
nassau
in
the
bahamas,
st
petersburg,
toronto
and
montreal.
D
A
D
It's
just
been
a
fantastic
welcome
to
bring
us
here
and
we
look
forward
to
graduation
in
a
few
weeks
for
our
first
flight
attendant
class
and
then
starting
another
one
soon
thereafter,
and
then
our
our
first
aircraft
arriving,
probably
in
about
six
to
eight
weeks,
so
hopefully
you'll
come
out
for
that
absolutely
and
and
we'll
we'll
smash
a
bottle
of
champagne
against
the
future.
Is
here
great?
Thank
you
so
much
everybody
thank.
