From YouTube: Office of Atlantic County Clerk tour 1.6.22
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
First
of
all,
I
want
to
just
welcome
everyone
here
this
morning
to
the
atlanta
county
clerk's
office,
we're
now
six
days
into
to
my
administration
and
and
the
start,
and
I
wanted
to
take
this
opportunity
to
take
everyone
through
the
building
to
see
where
we
are
and
then
we'll
talk
about
the
changes
that
are
going
to
happen.
But
before
we
do,
I
want
to
introduce
my
two
deputy
county
clerks
mike
summers
and
antoinette
flatt,
both
with
many
many
years
of
experience,
and
that's
why
I
chose
to
keep
them
on
and
they've
offered.
A
Quite
a
bit
of
information,
and
we've
worked
very
well
together
in
the
transition.
Mike
is
all
about
the
elections.
That's
mainly
his
his
belly
wick
and
what
he'll
handle.
Although
his
deputy
clerk
he's
in
charge
of
everything
from
soup
to
nuts
and
the
same
with
antoinette
antoinette's,
also
in
charge
antoinette
moore
oversees
the
recording
the
counter
and
the
staff
day
to
day
what's
happening
here
at
the
clerk's
office
during
the
transition.
A
We've
talked
about
we're
going
to
do
a
complete
update
of
the
current
web
page,
where
we're
currently
looking
at
vendors
to
do
such
and
we're
going
to
update
where
the
page
is
where
we
are
have
interactive
videos
and
everything
that
go
go
going
forward
so
that
the
public
becomes
more
familiar
with
our
office
is
able
to
use
our
office
is
able
to
understand
how
to
do
vote
by
mail
ballots
and
and
everything
we're
going
to
do.
I'm
going
to
call
tutorials
on
that.
A
One
of
the
big
things
that
will
be
rolled
out,
hopefully
in
the
next
two
or
three
weeks,
will
be
in
a
very
aggressive
marketing
campaign
which
will
allow
the
voter
to
opt
out
of
mailing
ballots.
We've
been
through
legal
department.
They
are
fine
with
it.
We
will
certainly
that
might
speak
to
that.
But
what
we
have
noticed
is
a
lot
of
people
either
get
the
vote
by
mail
ballot
that
they
don't
request
it,
because
once
you
request
it,
you
continue
to
get
it.
A
So
that
is
ground
one
of
what
we're
going
to
be
doing
now,
as
we
go
along
with
that
for
the
first
time
we're
going
to
have
a
full-time
election
department,
that's
been
created
now
under
myself,
it'll
be
much
more
than
mike
it'll,
be
a
staff
from
existing
staff
from
within
the
clerk's
office.
So
it's
not
a
a
tax
tax
increase
to
anyone.
A
Okay,
it
will
be
a
dedicated
department
with
dedicated
employees
and
when
we
take
the
tour,
we're
going
to
show
everyone
the
new
configured
space,
which
will
be
temporary,
but
maybe
up
to
two
years
before
we
get
the
rest
of
the
move
to
the
rest
of
the
building,
because
you'll
see
that
there's
a
lot
of
space
here
at
the
clerk's
office
and
a
lot
going
on
here.
So
we're
going
to
have
that
it'll
be
a
dedicated
space,
a
secure
space
and
mike
and
his
staff.
A
So
it's
going
to
be
changed
from
where
we
are
and
that's
a
big
part
of
where
we're
going
with
cross-training
here
in
the
office
and
that's
most
important
so
that
there's
no
glitches
because
you
know
elections
are
serious
things
and
we
are
taking
them
dead,
serious
and
just
so,
people
understand,
there's
other
parts
to
the
election.
There's
the
board
of
election
and
the
election
board.
I
know
it's
confusing.
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
So
that
is
most
important,
going
forward
with
cross-training
employees
to
do
recording
notaries,
business
names
e-recording,
whatever
needs
to
happen
at
the
clerk's
office
in
atlantic
city,
is
going
to
happen
and
that's
most
important
that
people
don't
from
the
from
what
I
call
the
islands
ratner,
margate,
longport
atlantic
city
brigantine,
don't
have
to
ride
out
here.
We
have
the
office
it's
at
the
county
office
building
their
office
hours
will
be
the
same
8
30
to
4
30..
So
that's
important
and
that's
where
we're
going
with
that.
A
Along
with
that,
the
office
is
working
on
several
calendars
and
time
frames
to
do
the
saturday
hours,
as
I
promised
it's
something
that
we're
hoping
to
roll
out
by
march
right
now
we're
a
little
tied
up
with
with
covet
and
the
staff
and
we're
also
dealing
you
know
with
a
bargaining
unit
as
to
how
we're
going
to
make
this
work.
I
myself
will
probably
be
available
on
saturdays,
and
I
think
that
so
well,
you
know
one
of
the
deputies
from
time
to
time,
but
management
and
staff
will
be
here.
A
They
won't
just
be
sitting
here.
We've
talked
about
a
work
plan,
so
it
won't
be
quote
that
we're
wasting
someone's
time
that
they're
sitting
here.
If
there's
no
one
at
the
window,
they
will
have
work
to
do
because
we
do
recordings
e-recordings.
So
there's
always
movement
here.
So
I
want
people
to
understand
that.
So
I
want
people
to
understand
that
all
of
the
changes
that
are
being
made
were
currently
well
within
our
budget
that
was
was
was
given
to
us
and
keep.
B
A
That
you
know
the
clerk's
office
generates
fees,
so
I
want
everyone
to
understand
that
we
pay
for
ourselves
here
through
the
fees
and
that
money
is
handed
over
to
some
of
it
to
the
nursing
home
some
to
the
county.
So
all
of
that
is
being
done
at
no
increase
to
the
budget
of
where
we
are
with
that.
I
want
to
say
that
the
staff
has
been
wonderful.
The
deputies
have
been
wonderful,
the
transition
has
been
excellent.
People
have
come
forth
with
ideas
on
where
they,
where
they
think
we
can
go
things
that
we
should
do.
A
This
office
is
going
to
be
doing
outreach,
whether
it's
myself
staff
one-on-one,
whether
it's
a
chicken
barbecue
or
whether
it's
a
you,
know
somebody's
table
on
the
western
end.
We
want
everyone
to
understand
all
the
services
and
all
the
things
that
go
on
at
the
clerk's
office
very
important.
We
want
to
connect
with
the
public
now
that
reorganizations
are
coming
to
an
end
of
of
our
local
governments.
You
know
throughout
the
23
municipalities
in
the
county,
I
myself
will
be
getting
on
the
agenda
of
every
council
meeting
going
forward
explaining
to
mayor
and
councils.
A
The
clerk's
office
is
here
to
help
you
we're
here
to
serve
you.
These
are
the
things
that
we
do
during
during
the
campaign.
So
many
people
ask
what
does
the
clerk
do?
There's
a
lot
of
services
that
go
on
whether
it
be
business,
names,
notaries,
and
I
know
I
keep
repeating,
because
I
want
the
public
to
understand
what
goes
on
here-
re
recordings
election
services.
It
is
a
lot
that
goes
on
right
now
with
our
staff
of
26
people.
So
it's
important
that
people
understand
we
do
identities.
We
do
everything.
A
Some
of
the
things
that
I
want
is
I've
listened
to
the
staff
during
the
transition,
I've
met
one-on-one
with
the
deputies
and
every
staff
member
here.
What
we
expect,
how
we
expect
the
office
to
run,
how
we
expect
the
public
to
be
treated
our
hours
of
operation
and
the
way
we're
going
to
operate.
I
look
to
the
elected
officials
in
the
county
to
offer
up
any
suggestions
that
they
have
our
doors
open.
It
doesn't
matter.
A
Lastly,
we
are
going
to
work
and
it
probably
won't
happen
within
the
first
90
days
to
make
the
office
a
resource
for
victims
of
identity
theft.
That's
that's
a
big
thing.
There's
a
a
group
out
there
that
that
needs
that
assistance,
I'm
looking
forward
to
working
with
the
police
prosecutor's
office,
whoever
we
have
to
that
is
paramount
to
some
of
the
things
that
we're
going
to
do
that.
People
should
note
that
they
can
turn
to
the
clerk's
office.
A
If
there's
any
questions
that
certainly
take
them.
But
at
this
time
I
want
to
take
a
tour
around
the
building
we're
currently
in
in
in
the
clerk's
office,
which
is
going
to
be
redone.
It'll.
Have
the
county
clerk's
seal
placed
on
the
wall
in
a
very
professional
way,
very
proudly
we're
going
to
fix
the
clock
that
came
out
of
the
sheriff's
house,
it's
going
to
be
restored
and
make
sure
that
it
runs
we'll
show
you
this
is
the
original
part
of
the
1837
building.
A
A
So
this
is
the
knowledge
base
of
where
we
are
so
now
I'm
going
to
take
you
through
the
office.
Some
of
it
is
not
neat
and
organized
some
of
it
is
our
staff
is
working.
I
want
the
public
to
see
where
we
are,
and
in
six
months
when
we
conduct
another
one
of
these.
I
want
the
public
to
see
the
progress
that
we've
made
and
where
we
are
and
where
we're
going
and
hopefully
someday
when
the
cove
is
done.
A
I
want
the
public
to
come
in
because
something
that
we're
putting
together
is
as
we
go
through
and
clean
in
this
building,
we're
seeing
stamps
from
other
clerks
and
pictures
from
generations
of
years
ago,
being
the
history
person
and
being
that
this
is
where
history
is
kept
in
this
county.
We
want
the
public
to
see
the
history
of
this
county,
so
very
important.
B
A
This
is
going
to
be
the
election
area
that
I
spoke
about
and
there'll
be
four
employees
in
here
they're
in
the
midst
of
building
the
window,
you'll
come
in
from
the
outside
for
any
type
of
election
services,
once
the
courts
are
done
and
once
renovations
are
done
upstairs.
As
you
say,
the
election
department
will
go
upstairs
in
this
building
and
this
will
be
a
extension
of
recording
passports
and
everything,
because
the
space
out
there
is
so
tight.
This
is
going
to
be
created
into
a
public
record
room
so
that
it
will
have
it'll.
A
Have
you
know
the
computer
access
and
they
can
come
in
and
the
public
can
search
any
records
because
we
are
publicly
so
so
when
the
public
comes
in,
they
can
either
come
into
the
elevator
into
what
will
be
the
election
department,
because
we're
now
on
the
other
side,
so
they'll
be
able
to
come
in
and
do
their
services
here
in
the
ada
accessible
area
for
the
public
to
come
in.
Okay,
take
these
back
here.
A
This
will
be
blocked
off
this
part
from
the
courts.
This
room
we're
talking
about
right
now
this
eventually,
we
would
like
to
make
this
our
election
so
that
when
people
come
right
up,
they
can
come,
and
we
can
put
a
counter
here
and
make
this
our
elections
department
up
here
prior
to
everything
being
online.
A
A
A
This
is
where
the
maps
are
stand,
everything
takes
place
and
they
handle
the
staff
here
handles
the
public
if
they
should
have
questions
when
they
have
to
come
in
to
search
public
documents.
A
This
is
the
map
room,
anything
that
has
ever
taken
place
since
1837.
B
A
There's
a
lot
of
records
here
they
go
back
to
the
originality
of
of
the
county,
road
locations,
road
maps
have
pieces
of
property
or
subdivided
sizes
of
lots.
Most
of
these
are
are
filings
that
are
done
after
a
person
goes
to
the
planning
board.
B
They
are
reviewing
documents
that
have
been
mailed
in
for
recordings
such
as
deeds,
mortgages,
final
judgments,
that
type
of
thing
and
seeing
if
they
meet
the
recording
statutes
and
if
they
do
then
they're
put
on
record.
If
they're,
not
then
they're,
given
a
reason
of
why
and
they're
returned
back
to
the
customer.
A
Much
different
than
you'll
see
some
of
the
books,
we're
going
to
take
you
down
into
the
seller
and
show
you
that
we're
hand
written.
We
are
now
in
the
basement
of
the
original
1837
building
and
down
here
there
are
some
of
the
original
documents
are
stored
and
it's
our
intention
to
classify
them
all
in
order
once
again
not
open
to
the
public,
but
to
secure
them
for
years
to
come.
B
B
A
A
A
Welcome
to
the
dungeon,
where
a
lot
of
records
are
kept
that
were
at
one
time
on
the
second
floor
of
the
clerk's
office,
but
are
still
preserved
and
are
here
no
records
are
destroyed.
No
original
weapons
are
ever
destroyed
with
the
club
song.
B
A
Of
service
and
hard
work
went
into
preserving
records,
and
what
people
need
to
understand
is
that
the
clerk's
office
is
the
oldest
of
all
offices
of
elected
officials
in
the
history
of
the
world
started
in
ancient
greece.
It's
where
records
were
where
they
began
to
kept
keep
records
of
who
owned
what,
where
they
owned
it
and
everything
else.
So
the
clerk's
office
is
historically
the
oldest
record
keeper
in
the
history
of
the
world
so
and
you're.
Seeing
that
firsthand
here
in
atlanta
county.
B
A
Our
intention
is
to
take
all
of
the
records
and
get
them
all
in
one
place,
give
the
surrogate
back
their
room
here
and
get
everything
in
order
numerical
order,
so
that
when
we
need
something
it's
scanned,
we
can
go
back
and
check
the
original
record
in
case
it's
not
clear
on
any
of
the
scanning
and,
as
you
can
see,
a
lot
of
records
here
in
atlanta
county,
our
records
are
there
when
the
public
need
them.
That's
the
whole
purpose
of
the
clerk's
office
is
to
serve
the
public.
A
Being
the
history
major
that
I
am
we're
going
to
continue
to
preserve
history
here
in
this
county
for
generations
to
come,
so
that
when
people
ask
200
years
from
now,
which
is
going
to
be
very
short
time,
you
know
in
2037
this
county
will
be
200
years
old.
Imagine
all
of
those
records
that
you
saw
everything
that
you
see
here
less
than
200
years,
so
only
we
can
only
imagine
what
another
200
years
of
records
will
be,
even
though
we
won't
be
having
the
space
of
those
records.
A
We
will
have
the
computer
knowledge
of
all
of
those
records.
Imagine
that
so
as
we
go
forward
very
proud,
very
glad.
Everyone
came
out
today,
we'll
invite
everybody
back
in
at
the
end
of
june
and
july
to
show
the
progress
we've
made
by
then
the
courts
will
be
in
session
by
then
our
our
new
website
and
stuff
will
be
up
and
and
our
new
initiatives
will
be
underway
by
then
so.
Thank
you.
