A
Hi
there
this
is
Tim
Erickson
with
trip
low
and
I'm.
Here,
with
today's
backdrop,
CMS
tutorial
video
this
time
we're
talking
about
the
module,
sticky
mail
for
background,
so
sticky
nav
is
a
module
that
lets
you.
Let
you
keep
your
navigation.
Your
navigation
bar
up
here,
sticky
at
the
top
of
the
page,
so
it
doesn't
move
sticky
nav
can
be
found
on
backdrop,
CMS
dot,
org.
If
you
go
to
the
add-ons,
you
go
to
backdrop
CMS
org,
under
add-ons
and
modules
you
can
search
for
sticky,
math
I'm,
a
just
search
for
sticky
and
there.
A
It
is
sticky
now
for
now,
let's
go
ahead
and
show
you
how
sticky
math
works.
So
we
have
a
site
without
Stettin
have
enabled
and
as
with
any
module
once
you've
installed
it
and
we're,
we
have
already
downloaded
the
module,
put
it
into
the
modules
folder
and
backdrop
CMS
top
or
in
our
version
of
background,
and
all
we
have
to
do
is
go
to
the
list
modules
page
now
we
type
in
sticky
and
it
pops
up.
A
Here
we
go
ahead
and
click
on
the
button
and
in
a
neighborhood,
okay,
there
we've
got
it
enabled
and
now,
if
we
go
under
configuration
down
here
to
use
your
interface,
we're
gonna
find
sticky
nav
settings
another
quick
way
to
get
to
the
settings
for
any
module.
If
you're
unaware
of
that
is
right
over
here
on
the
module
page,
you
can
click
on
configuration
and
it
will
take
you
to
the
same
place.
A
So
when
we
get
to
the
sticky
may
of
settings
basically,
the
first
thing
it's
asking
us
is,
which
which
theme
we
want
to
apply
these
settings
to
and
with
back
wrap
out-of-the-box.
We
have
two
choices.
Basis
basis
is
the
theme
that
we're
seeing
when
we
look
at
the
homepage.
This
is
the
basis
theme
and
seven,
which
is
the
theme
that
we're
looking
at
right
now
inside
the
admin
pages.
A
So
all
of
these
admin
pages
are
just
our
themed
by
the
the
seven
theme,
so
we
could
actually
make
something
sticky
in
the
admin
theme
as
well,
but
we're
going
to
focus
on
the
front
end
of
the
user
interface
right
now.
So
we
click
on
Stevie,
NAB,
sticky,
map
settings,
we
hit
basis
and
it's
asking
us
for
a
selector
and
what
we
can
do
is
interrupt
the
class,
a
CSS
class
for
an
item
that
we
want
to
remain
sticky.
A
Okay.
So
if
you
have
a
little
bit
of
knowledge
of
CSS
and
theming,
that's
gonna
help
you
out
here.
You
could
just
try
this
dot.
Little
dash
header
drop
that
in
there
and
see
if
that
works
spoiler,
it
will
work,
but
I'm
gonna
show
you
how
you
could
find
that
if
it,
if
it
doesn't
work
what
you
would
do
so
what
we
would
do
is
go
to
the
home
page
and
I
would
have
to
double
check
this,
but
we
have,
if
you
don't
already
know
how
to
do
wait.
A
A
All
of
the
browser,
major
browsers,
Safari
Chrome
Firefox,
have
developer
tools
that
allow
you
to
do
something
like
this,
but
you
might
have
to
enable
them
in
some
browsers
and
it
might
be
a
little
different
in
each
browser,
so
check
that
out.
Just
google
developer
tools
and
whatever
browser
name
you
want
so
I'm
gonna
hit
the
develop
and
what
this
is
gonna
do
for
us.
It's
open
up
this
little
window.
It's
gonna
show
me
the
different
elements
on
the
screen.
A
I
can
hover
over
different
elements
and
and
also
see
their
HTML
tags
and
any
classes
that
they
have
and
we
can
see
we're
getting
like
what
we
originally
got
was
the
UL,
the
actual
menu
items
or
the
actual
menu
itself.
The
meta
menu
items
are
a
little
bit
deeper
in,
but
what
we
want
to
do
is
go
out.
We
want
this
entire
area,
so
we're
gonna
scroll
out
and
look
for
something
like
this.
There
we
go.
We
can
see
this
one,
the
DIA
of
El
header,
inner,
is
an
element.
That's
inside
the
header.
A
We
want
the
entire
thing,
so
that
looks
the
header
looks
good
and
we
look
over
and
sure
enough.
The
header
has
an
L
header
class.
So
that's
what
we
could
use.
We
could
copy
that
which
we
well
we'll
go
ahead
and
do
that
copy.
Yet
we're
gonna
come
back
to
come
back
to
user
interface,
to
keep
map
settings
once
again
pick
basis
and
we're
gonna
drop
that
in
here
we
need
to
put
the
dot
before
it.
A
That
just
indicates
that
it's
a
class
and
then
we're
gonna
go
ahead
and
save
that
now
we're
gonna
go
back
to
the
home
page
and
sure
enough.
Our
menu
is
now
sticky.
One
of
the
things
is,
if
you
take
a
look
at
the
admin
menu
the
admin
menu
we
might
like
that
sticky.
Now
we
can
do
that
without
sticky
nav
at
all,
but
I'm
gonna
go
ahead
and
show
you
that
as
part
of
this
video,
because
it's
related,
the
settings
for
your
admin
bar
are
here
under
configuration
administration
administration
bar.
A
So
if
we
click
on
that
it
just
this
is
the
administration
bar
menus
and
it
says,
keep
bar
at
top
of
page
and
that's
off
by
default.
We
can
turn
that
on
it
saves,
and
now,
when
we
go
back
to
our
home
page
and
we
start
to
scroll,
we
can
see
that
the
sticky
now
or
the
admin
bar
starts
to
stay.
But
then
it
gets
covered
up
by
the
sticky
menu
and
that's
not
good
and
anticipating
that
the
module
allowed
for
another
setting,
which
is
to
stay
safe
or
for
it
been
certain
roles.
A
The
the
navigation
is
still
sticky.
So,
basically,
we've
set
sticky
Nav
for
regular
users
authenticated
users,
but
for
editors
and
admins
we
are
only
keeping
the
admin
bar
sticky
I'm,
not
in
the
clear
admin
Arco.
So
there
is
some
additional
settings
here
which
would
be
the
offsets
and
the
offsets
are
just
ways
to
make
sure
that
your
sticky
map
isn't
covering
something
out.
There's
something
else
up
and
as
I
was
making.
A
This
video
I
actually
got
a
little
bug
in
this
that
I'm
going
to
report
in
on
github
and
try
and
get
fixed
before
you
get
to
use
this.
So
you
can
add,
like
put
a
selector
in
here
for
another
item
that
you
want
to
protect
like
the
admin
bar
from
the
order,
sticky
nav.
So
it
doesn't
cover
it
cover
it
up
or
you
can
do
a
custom
offset,
which
is
basically
to
say
you
know,
make
my
nav
bar
sticky,
but
make
it
sticky
a
hundred
pixels
from
the
top
instead
of
right
at
the
top.
A
If
you
want
I,
don't
foresee
myself
using
those
features
anyway.
So
this
is
basically
how
I
use
this
module
all
the
time,
and
this
is
how
I
use
it.
So
that's
all
we
have
for
today,
one
last
quick
plug
for
a
project
I'm
working
on
right
now,
simple,
oh,
by
trip
plot
was
a
project
that
we're
doing
and
basically
what
we're
doing
is
helping
people
get
back
route,
CMS
site
started,
help
them
learn
about
backdrop,
experiment
and
basically
with
simple.
A
Oh
you
can
come
to
excuse
me
come
to
simple
org
and
we
have
some
online
classes
about
backdrop
CMS.
We
also
have
the
ability
here
to
click
on
a
button
and
spin
up
a
free
backdrop
site
that
you
can
work
on
it's
going
to
stick
around
right
now,
we're
doing
it
for
90
days
in
the
future
that
may
change,
but
the
sites
are
fully
exportable.
